the PJO -> Voltron -> My Hero Academia pipeline is so funny to me. like yeah we all know - you were into PJO, got into VLD in ~2016 when the entire pjo fandom moved over there, and in the last two seasons you jumped to BNHA, right? right. bonus points if you were in Homestuck too. we all know how it goes.

i find myself thinking about how yosuke calls the p4mc 'partner' like 99% of the time and then i kinda went "au where yosuke's a time traveler/p4mc's a time traveler/timelooper but yosuke remembers" and then i realised how nicely it slotted into angst.

yosuke calls p4mc "partner" because he can barely remember which name the mc goes by anymore. sometimes it's seta souji, other times it's narukami yu. maybe it's something like tsukimori or akito. the more common times are souji or yu, but at this point he's given up trying to remember with the amount of names that's been accumulated.

maybe yosuke used to write the names down in a little book because even if his partner(s) were all the same people at heart/had little to no difference than the previous, their names were still worth remembering.

(maybe he falls in love with every single version of his partner, and they reciprocrate every time which gives him so much heartache as he wakes up and the year restarts because he knows that yet again, this partner doesn't know him, doesn't love him and he's doomed to repeat this over and over again.

maybe that's why he stops recording down their names in the book and stows it away in a locked box.)

Hajime curled up into Tomoya's side on the couch, popcorn bowl sitting between them. They were really tired after their most recent live and decided to have a night in at Tomoya's dorm (Mayoi would be out doing some work so they'd have the whole dorm to themselves!) and of course they had to do a movie night.

Hajime had brought his favorite movies over and picked one at random, forgetting how badly Tomoya handled horror movies sometimes until about thirty minutes in when Tomoya's death grip on Hajime's arm was impossible to ignore.

"Are you okay, Tomoya-kun?" Hajime turned to look up at his friend, who looked like he was doing okay until--

"Y-yep! Totally fine Hajime!" Tomoya had jumped at the loud noise coming from the movie and squeezed Hajime's hand again. Hajime sighed but reached for the remote and fumbled for the pause button.

"Tomoya-kun, can you look at me?" He asked, sitting upright without moving his hand from Tomoya's. Tomoya turned stiffly until he was facing Hajime.

"I'm fine! There isn't that much left of the movie anyway."

"It's okay if the movie was scaring you To-mo-ya-kun~" Hajime teased out with a light smile on his face. He leaned in and gently kissed him. "And besides, I'll protect you if something happens. That's why boyfriends are for right?"

Tomoya's face lit up. "I-I guess." He grabbed at the movie on top of the pile, sighing in relief that it wasn't another horror movie. "Can we watch this instead?"
