                unconsciously, the ROVER leaned forward, their noses made a slight contact while her lips barely brushed against the back of his ear. her movement allowed her mouth to ghost over the line of his jaw, carefully reaching closer, close enough for her breath to be spilling warmly just behind his ear. one could almost feel the way her soft lips caressed the rough, defined jawline and skin.

It's about Francis flunking out of his 12th godparent assignment, so Fairy World is about to write him off as a lost cause when this fairy named Rover begs for a chance so he can cover his rent until he finds a new job :) I've drawn him before:

^ His full name is Oregon Powers. He's the half-sibling of Miss Idaho and Montana Powers. Yes, their entire family is weird.

I've not gotten far in it since I've been working on other projects, but I still think the idea is cute- I hadn't seen anyone write 'fics about godparents struggling with mean godkids, though it's been 4+ years, so there might be some now.

I gave Francis the last name Davenport, meaning his mom works at the school as a teacher ("Stupid Cupid"). There are a lot of little bits in it I like, like Francis snapping that he "doesn't need some frilly little bug boy babysitting him" and Rover struggling to find a disguise that blends into Francis' life (which goes poorly when another member of the household hogs him because they think the new pet is cute).

I'd like to finish and post it someday, but it's low priority. Rover's had some cameos though, most notably when Kevin spots him as an orange baseball cap on Francis's head in Come What May Chapter 6.

In the 130 Prompts series, he's usually referenced as "the orange fairy that Remy and Timmy have seen in animal form, but haven't figured out who he's connected with"- Timmy said he once saw an orange skunk in "End of the World." You see him now and then.

Orange is a very, very rare color for magic-users (both Fae and genies), so any time you see an orange animal, it's always him.

I think my main tag for this 'fic is #R is for Rover, since the title Francis is a bit confusing for the tag system.
