summary -> y/n matt don’t typically get along but after a beer pong win you both realize how much you actually like each other.

you and the triplets were invited to tara’s infamous halloween party. the tara yummy party.

you and tara facetimed you of course not knowing what to wear. you were thinking of something on the scary side. maybe the girl from the ring which tara shut down IMMEDIATELY. she said dress ‘slutty’ which was out of your comfort zone. you usually dressed in the ‘clean girl aesthetic’ wearing sleek ponytails and off the shoulder tops that that we’re typically cropped exposing a section of your midriff.

tara was going for a sexy cat women costume. meanwhile, you were stuck. what would you wear? you had nothing remotely close to a costume let alone slutty. tara’s eyes lit up as she spoke “what if you go as harley quinn” that was brilliant. you two could match making you feel more comfortable and take away the stress of coming up with a costume idea.

you start getting ready by doing your make up. the classic red and blue messy eye makeup with a fake bloody lip. when you finish your makeup that took you only a few minutes after doing your base, you move onto your hair. you use blue and red hair chalk at the tips before finally putting on your outfit. you feel a little uncomfortable with the length of the shorts and debate on if you still want to go or not.

lost in your thought an incoming text snaps you back to reality. nicks message , here, lights up your screen. you rush and grab your purse stuffing your phone in it as you practically run out the door not wanting to hold them up.

as you pull up to tara’s house the blasting music and the sounds of laughter spill out into the night. matt parks as you all sit and take in the scene of coloful lights coming from the house and dancing across her lawn. people with costumes of all kinds chatting. the party is just getting started.

you walk into the front door scanning the house for tara. your eyes shoot over to a voice coming from the kitchen. “y/n! you made it! and you look hot.” she compliments looking you up and down. “follow me” she says to you all taking a hold on your hand leading you through her crowded home.

she’s leads you to a table of cups filled with alcohol alined in a pyramid formation. beer pong. “i call dibs on nick being on my team” tara says excitedly. chris graciously steps to the side, “i’ll sit this one out, i don’t drink”, leaving you and matt to be a team.

the group of two take their places on each side of the table. you team goes first after an intense game of rock, paper, scissors. you take aim and watch it with anticipation as the ball bounces right into the cup. “that’s my girl!” matt says keeping his eyes on the opposing team. as tara and nicks team is up, a million thoughts run through your head. maybe he’s just drunk… no that couldn’t be we just got here. matt’s words leave you curious on if he was intentionally being flirty or was he just playing the game. tara shoot you a look, noticing your face lighting up in red.

with eight more cups down and the two teams being tied. the last turn is yours. with all eyes on you, you throw the ball into the last cup standing. matt sweeps you off your feet and spins you around both of you cheering in excitement . as he sets you down you both lock eyes. with the thrill of the victory and the realization of what just happened your heart races and your chest flutters as you fix your gaze into his sparkling eyes.

matt brushes a strand of hair behind your ear leaning in and whispering, “you did so good.” his warm breath against your skin sends a wave of cold shivers down your spine. his eyes linger down to your lips hungry for a kiss but as the music changes and the room erupting into cheer it ruins the moment. matt pulls back with a wide grin on his face. “i guess we’ll have to celebrate later” he sneaks in before bowing to the crowd.

nick and tara make their way over to you. “you guys were AMAZING! and that final shot ”tara remarks. matt chuckles his eyes meeting yours, “i guess you can say we make a great team.” the four of you laugh as you make you way to the living room.

a guy approaches you. you noticed him watching when you were playing beer pong and him cheering when you won. “hey y/n right?” the man said towering over you. you nod your head in agreement barley hearing him over the music. he raises his voice as he leans into your ear “i saw you play beer pong not too long ago, you were great!” “thank you” you say, twirling a strand of you hair around your finger, your voice low and sultry in an attempt to flirt locking eyes with him. he notices your attempt and smirks, “follow me” he says barley getting two steps before a figure is blocking his way. matt.

“y/n can i talk to you for a second” he growls through gritting teeth leading you by the hand to the upstairs bathroom. “what the fuck!” he says his eyes blazing. you tilt your head in confusion as he continues, “i’ve been dropping hints all night? are you that clueless?” he says throwing his hands up in defeat.“matt im sorry, i thought i was just overthinking it” “overthinking what” he takes a step closer his breath hot on your face,“i’ve been trying to get your attention all night and you’re out there flirting with some guy?” our noses almost touching matt’s eyes darken with lust and desire. your heart races as the space closing between the two of you.

* MY BEST FRIEND IS A ROCKSTAR: (tw: death) muse a & muse b have been best friends since they were kids and grew up together. throughout their childhood, muse b had always told muse a about his plans to become a famous musician and as he grew older, became more and more determined to make those dreams come true. when they both hit their teen years, feelings eventually grew and the two were head over heels for each other but neither of them was ever able to admit it. they were both terrified that the feelings would be unrequited or that it would ruin their friendships so just imagine the angst of them seeing each other with other people and FGHDFG. anyway, when muse b finally turns twenty-one, he decides to move to hollywood to make his dreams come true, and muse a stays in their small hometown. they keep in contact with one another but as time went on, muse b becomes a huge rockstar with his band and their contact start to drift but they always had each other in their thoughts, wishing they were closer to one another. a few years pass and they still speak but it’s not like before. muse b was hugely successful and enjoyed the life he was now living but always felt like something was missing. that someone was missing… it’s not until he gets a distraught call from muse a telling him that her mother died does he rush on a private jet and comes home to her. after helping her arrange the funeral and being there for her through her grief, he suggests that she comes on tour with him and the band. wanting to run away from everything and everyone in her small town, she agrees. queue cute ass moments on the tour bus, traveling the world and falling in love like they did when they were young. add drama, angst ( because they’re both still dumb and won’t admit to their feels) stadium tours, TENSION!!!, groupies, etc, etc.

- Everyone thinks you're insane for even thinking about having a fling with him (*cough cough* Brooke and Haley)

- Nathan is concerned and takes you to a doctor

- He was bored and curious what your girl talk consists of (he was not disappointed)

- He's very happy with the fact that you, of all people, like him (or at least, find him attractive)

- He actually changes into someone everyone can call a friend

- Jamie likes the two of you together

- Clay and Quinn understand where Jamie and every are coming from so they ask you out to lunch... to catch up because if anyone else does it, there’s going to be a lot of judgment

“So, we hear you’re with Chris?” Quinn says slowly, not wanting to dry heave.  

You hum, taking a sip of water. “What?” 

“We heard you and Chris Keller are kind of together?” 

“Why are you two asking?” 

“I think you know why,” Clay intervenes. 

You roll your eyes, “I do and frankly I don’t see why it’s any of your guys' business.” 

“We’re just concerned-” 

“I get it, he wasn’t the best guy in the past, but he’s come around. I mean, he helped Dan and Julian bring Nathan home from that wack job. But, has anyone actually tried to make conversation with him? Or even thought that maybe I know what a jerk looks like and won’t date one.” 

Before either of them can open their mouths, you storm off. “Thanks for this deceiving lunch but I don’t want to talk to anyone else today.” 

“We’re in so much trouble,” Quinn rests her head on the table. 

“Yeah, we’re dead. I’ll let you talk to Haley first.”

“Clay!” 

“She’s your sister.”  

- No one was prepared for what would happen after that.

Chris raises a brow at the door slamming behind you. “Sounds like you had a good lunch.” 

You ignore him and throw yourself onto the couch in the studio.

He didn’t really know what to do and didn’t want to piss you off anymore but seeing you stretch out so sad, actually makes him feel bad. 

“Maybe we shouldn’t-” 

“Shouldn’t what?” 

“I mean, if everyone is so upset by the fact that you’re dating Chris Keller... maybe we should, stop this.” 

You gulp, “is that what you want?” 

He pauses, not expecting you to ask him. “... yes.” 

You nod, grabbing your bag as you hold back any tears that pool in your waterline. “Okay.” 

He stares at the door for a while after you left. 

Chase walks in and raises a brow at his weird behavior. “Everything okay?” 

He clears his throat, “yeah, yeah. Why wouldn’t it be?” 

“Well, I think I saw your girlfriend leave here in tears and you’re looking like a pathetic version of yourself.” 

“Chris Keller is offended.” 

“What happened?” 

“Yeah, what happened?” 

“Little CK, when did you get here?” Chris asks, hoping the kid can distract him. 

“Wondering if there’s fresh meat on the market.” 

Chris grabs the boy by his shirt and pulls him closer to him. “Nobody goes after Chris Keller’s girl.” 

Chuck nods, raising his hands, “okay, okay. I hear you.” 

The post break-up

- You and him, have been in a depressive state ever since then. 

- Which means, everyone feels bad, like really, really bad

- Julian went to you first

“I brought your favorites.” He smiles, raising a bag from Karen’ Cafe. “And coffee, extra sugar because you’re weird.” 

It was a running joke between the two of you and before, it’d make you laugh. 

His thinned lips tug to the side as he takes in your depressive state before taking a seat at the edge of your bed. “What are you feeling today?” 

You shrug. “Like I don’t want to do anything.” 

He nods, patting your back, leaving the bag and coffee on your nightstand. Everyone knows when you’re alone you’ll enjoy the treats but other than that, forget it.

- They took you two back to the place where you two had a decent interaction, the Scott household

- Chase dragged Chris there and pretended that they were going to have a poker night. And the girls told you they were going to have a movie night. 

- But when the girls disappeared after telling you to grab the casserole out of the oven

- The boys told Chris to get drinks while they set up

- And this is when things got awkward

“Oh.” 

You glance up and find him standing there, looking as- you shake your head, not sure if you can think of him that way since you two... aren’t together. 

“I’m supposed to get drinks. The guys- they- uh- planned a poker night.” 

“The girls told me to get this out of the oven so we can have a movie night.” 

“It’s not poker night, is it?” 

“And it’s definitely not movie night.” You sigh. “They tricked us but, I don’t get why. I mean, we broke up because of... whatever reason you chose.” 

“It’s- Chris Keller doesn’t like talking about his feelings but it doesn’t feel weird when I talk to you.” He takes a step closer. “I, Chris Keller, typically known for being selfish, didn't want you to be sad because your friends didn’t like the fact that we’re dating.” 

“What?”

“You’ve known these people for almost all your life and their opinions matter. I just- I thought I’d save you from judgment before it started to take a toll on you.”  

When he’s within reach, you cup his cheek, staring up at him affectionately. “You’re an idiot.” 

His mouth opens and closes, trying to figure out whether to be offended or not. 

“Kiss her!” 

You two turn to see everyone standing at the window before ducking. 

“Chris Keller is doing this because he wants to. Not because the screaming people told him to.” 

You smile, leaning closer to him. “Can Chris Keller shut up and kiss me?” 

“Gladly.” 

“I’m so happy for you two,” Brooke says, hugging you. “And I didn’t dry heave while saying it.”

Hi! I’m Alistair— you can call me that, or you can use my username for pretty much everywhere else, TheetyPie/Theety. I don’t mind either way.

I’m a trans guy, I use he/they pronouns. I’m panromantic/asexual, and I’m 27 years old.

I have 3 cats, they’re my babies. I also (as you can tell from above) have a lot of OCs, and the number is still growing. I want to turn my ideas into a bigger creation someday, still not sure exactly where I want to go with it.

I do more than write. I do art, I like video games, music, and just collecting stuff. Current obsessions are Monster High, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, makeup, crystals, and jewelry.

Rules

The most important: I do not RP smut. In the past I’ve used the fade-to-black method, but I’m not entirely comfortable with that with most of my muses.

In the same vein, DO NOT FORCE SHIPS. I love ships as much as the next guy, but I would prefer to discuss it first, or for us to agree on it. It’s cool if your muse has a crush, totally fine— mine get crushes all the time! But make sure if you want to ship, we discuss it first.

In a similar vein to that one as well, no god-modding/powerplaying. If your character is strong, an immortal being, or whatever, cool! I have some of those too. But there should always be a limit. Don’t say your character is moving mine unless we’ve talked about that. Attempt to move them. Usually I follow along as long as boundaries aren’t pushed.

Don’t kill or seriously injure my muse without permission. Fights happen, of course, but again: discussion. I’m up for threads where my canon muses are injured or killed, but not where it happens to my OCs, unless we’re getting into a backstory and another OC that’s already deceased dies. Non-serious injuries are alright to come out of nowhere with, but if it’s a first meeting, I’d prefer to plot it out.

I’m semi-selective. I’m kind of particular about who I follow and who I thread with. I prefer us to be mutuals to thread, but you don’t have to be mutuals to send me things.

I’m very bad at keeping up with people. If you message me and I don’t respond, it’s usually bc I’m shy, I forgot, or I’m busy with work. It’s not you, I promise. Usually I don’t message first bc I’m nervous.

Back to shipping: I’m also multiship. Usually my ships are in different universes, unless discussed with all parties beforehand. The exception is a few of my OCs that are partnered together— ask about their availability. I love random ships, just talk to me about them!

I love duplicates of my muses. Whether it’s “x meets self” or I find someone I share a muse with, I love RPing with just about everyone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we have a muse in common!

One of my other most important statements, not really considered a rule, but it’s still important: if you want to know something about any muse, canon or OC, please tell me— ask or message me! I haven’t been able to write down a lot of info about any of them because I’m on mobile, but I will infodump for you if you need/want to know something. But I've started something different, so here's chapter one of that! 1,500 words of Chris Quinn having a very bad no good awful time! Enjoy! Tw for death, transphobia, homophobia, and interrogation? It takes a second to realize what he's done.

A second to realize that the disappearance of that damned thing means it's finally dead, that it's finally over.

He laughs, he laughs and falls to his knees and laughs and cheers, and cries and slams his hands against the concrete and screams.

Because he's won, but he's alone.

He's won, but who's to know if there's any humanity left? If this zombie bullshit hadn't done to the rest of the world what it'd done to England and America? And if there were still humans, if they'd accept someone who technically was a zombie amongst them?

So he laughed and cried and screamed and cursed the very world for what it'd done, cursed the virus and the mental hospital, and both his parents and their killer, and cursed more and more until he realized the zombies who's wandering became aimless and confused once their master fell were starting to collapse into truly lifeless heaps.

And he realized his body was starting to feel heavier, breathing was feeling harder.

He got to his feet unsteadily as the panic set in, as that urge to live that he could never quite shove all the way down rose with new urgency.

He almost made it to the exit, his stumbling body gave out a few meters from the door, and he tried with shaking arms to drag himself the rest of the way, as if he could run from his body realizing it truly was a corpse.

And then he knew it should've all went black. And for the life of him he couldn't recall what color encompassed him instead, he knew it wasn't the awful rotting purple of The Evil.

It was something warmer, unsettling, but warm.

And he could recall the tolling of bells in the distance, whispers of people he couldn't see but could feel. He could recall the feeling of running through the invisible crowd as they collided with him and he felt fingers grip his shoulders and arms, trying and failing to hold him still, he recalled the ground having broken glass scattered randomly, and having to stumble and weave to avoid it. The feeling of a billion unseen eyes boring into him before he came to something great and awful that blurred to nothing in his memory and had a conversation with him he couldn't recall.

Except for one piece.

"... This type of thing can't come without a price, can it?"

"You're smarter than those who came before you. Yes, you'll pay your debts in time mortal, be sure of that."

"What would I owe?"

"To fight. To persevere. You'll know the time when it comes. I believe you can afford that, can't you?"

Regardless of the certainty of death, Chris Quinn would wake with a start on a park bench back in England, with stars blinking overhead and the moon as bright as ever.

And the world would no longer be made of corpses.

And it did not take long to realize two things:

That he was still wearing the blood and viscera stained clothes he'd died in, and everything before the night his parents died was an uncomfortable blank in his mind.

Of course the world waits for no man, not even an undead one, and he had to keep moving. So he did. Even if he didn't know what to do or how to do it, he kept moving. He went back to his parents' house, or his now, even if he didn't want to say that. He went back to his mom's library, and he learned what he could from the collection of occult texts, and did what he did still know how to do.

He killed monsters.

And it worked, it worked for a while. He'd find someone who needed his services, do the job, and spend the money on booze and drugs to blur out the nightmares and flashbacks and horrifying ever present feeling of being watched.

And then there was that awful night. Where he had a bit too much of a bit too many things, and he wasn't sure what exactly set it off, but suddenly in his mind he was back, back in the hordes, the smell or rot in his nose and adrenaline in his veins.

He didn't mean it.

He didn't mean it and he didn't know what he was doing but that didn't take a bullets out of an innocent man, it didn't clear the drug charges, and it didn't make the prison sentence any less. Especially when he knew the alternative was likely going back to that god awful mental hospital. He'd rather face his sentence.

He wasn't sure what was going on when he was lead out of the prison by guards he didn't recognize, put in a vehicle that didn't belong to the prison, and driven to a building that took government looking key cards to open even the entrance door.

He was lead into an interrogation room and handcuffed to the chair, and a well groomed man in a button up and slacks would come in and sit across from him. "Hello there Mr.Quinn, I'm sure you must be confused on why you're here, correct?"

"You found the drugs I stuffed up my arse?" A beat. He realized snark probably wasn't great when talking to someone who had to be some sort of fed, "... That was a joke, mate. I swear."

"... I'm going to believe that for both of our sakes and just explain." The man already looked exasperated with him, good, he didn't want to be here.

"I'm listening."

"This place is an organization that specializes in researching and containing the occult and supernatural, something it's come to our attention, *you* have experience with."

Oh. They knew about the monster hunting, or worse, The Evil. Did anyone actually know about it? Chris saw all the signs and scars like it was plain as day, but it seemed the rest of the world was blind to the atrocities that haunted him.

"... What's that supposed to mean?" Well. It'd do him no good to give up more by not knowing what they were already aware of.

"It's not every day a man disappears from a mental hospital, and is deemed dead in time with disappearance of hundreds, Mr.Quinn. Especially when that man goes on to hunt monsters one could assume he previously knew nothing about."

Chris stared at him with a look akin to bewilderment, that probably looked more like a dog that forgot how to close its mouth.

"It's an event that we have yet to find explanation for, and my employers believe you may be the piece we're missing. From the look on your face I'm going to assume they're correct."

"... Can I go back to jail? I'd love to go back to jail right now-"

"You haven't even heard what we want from you yet-"

Chris tugged at the handcuffs, "Mate I don't want to, just take me back, alright?"

"We just want to hear what you know, and offer you a job position."

"I don't want any fucking job-"

"If you take the offer we'll have you released from prison, your criminal record will be wiped, you'll be given a place to live that isn't where your parents died, not to mention we have extensive benefits, including medical insurance that covers things public healthcare would make quite difficult." The man gave him a pointed, maybe disgusted, stare that made him squirm in his seat. He wanted to leave. He wanted out. He didn't much care what they were offering, they knew too much, they wanted information he didn't want to tell, wouldn't know how to.

"What the fuck are you even talking about? Why would I need health insurance-"

"How much did you pay them to put you in a male prison, Charlotte-"

"Don't call me that! What the fuck mate-"

"We have all of your public records, all of your medical records, we know your parents went through loopholes to have your gender marker changed and switch your high school, that you were treated for homosexual tendancies in the mental hospital, we could revoke your hormones, tell the world who you really are, you wouldn't be such a loved author if the world knew you were a-"

"I'll take your fucking offer! Shut up!"

The man leaned back, a smug but content smile on his face, "That's about what I thought." He slid a few papers towards Chris, "Fill these out please."

"I can't."

"... Quinn, did you not-"

"I'm left handed. You have my left hand handcuffed, I can't write with my right hand."

"..." The man sighed, and got up, bringing in two guards. One held Chris down while the other switched the cuff, not that Chris dared to struggle. He was utterly and completely fucked. And he had no real idea what he was getting into as he filled out these papers, signed up to become part of this 'Ministry of Occultism'. His stomach churned as he signed away what little freedom he still had and slid the paperwork back across the table. He wished he could wipe that stupid grin off that bastard's face.

"Someone will be sent to collect you from the prison and bring you here for orientation as soon as this is processed. Welcome to the ministry, Quinn."

I rewatched Dance With Somebody and the bts video in preparation for the next recap episode.

Mr. Shue hires a wedding planer and moves the wedding up to May, because he is worried the Glee kids won't come back for a later date.

Kurt starts flirting and texting with another boy. Blaine finds out and is hurt and jealous. They go to Emma for couples therapy and it turns out Blaine is distant because Kurt is leaving soon.

Joe offers Quinn to go to physical therapy with her to cheer her up and the two of them develop feelings for each other.

Minor storylines: Puck has gifts for the boys as his way of saying goodbye, Kurt and Burt talk about Kurt leaving soon, Rachel and Santana make peace.

Cringe moment: "sing, mommy" in My Love Is Your Love (Artie singing it to Mercedes is so weird. It creeps me out. They should have skipped it or changed it.)

best dance move: I Wanna Dance with Somebody

best songs: Saving All My Love for You, So Emotional, It's Not Right, But It's Okay

Saw reblog about Santana mean compilation under “best moments” and I was wondering did any of Santana mean moments have a point? Like the controversial rant at kurt ( putting aside the insults to Chris himself) was any of her points valid?

Unsure whether this is the type of question I should spent more time answering but nowadays spending time on replies means they're never getting answered so, here goes.

Like, yeah? Santana is exceptionally good at reading people. A lot of times this manifests in exceedingly cruel remarks and particularly earlier on the point of this cruelty is just... cruelty. But as her development marches on and as she serves to push forward others' stories her rants have points. I dislike when the writing goes over the top and thus invalidates a lot of her actually pretty legit points but I personally reject that invalidation.

Take her Prom-asaurus callout of Rachel, for example. Santana goes too far with the insults at the end but she has a perfectly valid point. Rachel is being selfish and throwing a pity party for herself, ignoring her classmates' needs and what prom means to them. Santana even validates her pain regarding her botched audition but rightly points out that Rachel once again making everything about herself is not okay.

As for the JLT rant, look, I've talked about it before and I actually was thinking last week of touching on it again. All I'll say for now is that it's a gd shame how the behind the scenes mess and bad intentions messed with the text itself and infuriating how the fandom invalidates what Santana says because of that. Yeah, sure, it sucks so much that Chris Colfer the actor was targeted. Doesn't mean Santana didn't have every reason to come at Kurt and that some of her points didn't have truth to them. Obviously even in-universe it came from a very angry and unfiltered place but that's Santana for you. Just because she's pissed doesn't mean she still doesn't have her people skills, that knowing exactly where to hit.

I'd say most if not all of Santana's "mean moments" have a point of some sort. Her bitch fights with Quinn, her calling out Rachel, her confronting Kurt, all have truth to them. Even though a lot of the time the main intention was to have a savage Santana moment where Naya nailed the delivery, and they were going mostly for the humour, much more often than not there's an emotional truth.

But I also wouldn't say her "mean moments" were her best by any means. See Dan's post from last week.
