Jane Seymour - (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) - I'd like to specifically draw attention to Jane Seymour in the Quinn years. In her forties, she was ethereally beautiful, and while the costuming and styling was less than historically accurate, at least it showed off her wonderful auburn hair. This was also the show where I first noticed her eyes' brown and green heterochromia, which, along with her delicate profile, gives her that extra touch of magic. With this show, she not only offered fun melodrama, she centered the Western genre on a woman and used its plots to argue for gun control, anti-racism, anti-censorship, anti-homophobia, and the social acceptance of those living with AIDS.

They got married and moved to Canada as Santura gave birth to a baby Hailey Quinn. When there was a war a janitor named Michael “Comatose” Bly Van der aided the couple by rescuing their baby out of the hospital before it exploded, leaving their parents dead. Since then, Bly Van Der adopted Tarrick and Santaura's daughter, just to torture and brainwash her, not using numbers like with mason or memories like bell, but colors to mess her up while getting burned by a curling iron.

The mysterious fate of her parents is already gone. Parker is a world famous artistic gymnast, an absolute monster on the balance beams and the definition dexterity on the floor. Became a meme because of her terrible track record in interviews, it’s not that she’s actively trying to be rude or awkward, she just doesn’t know how to hold back the adrenaline from performing the perfect floor routine.

Alec Hardison is a nerd through and through and has no shame in revealing in an interview that he only picked up the bow and arrow when he was 12 was because he thought (and still thinks) that Legolas is the coolest character ever. Nana enrolled him in a local archery class to help him with his ADHD, turns out internally roleplaying as Bard the Bowman was great therapy. He likes the recurve bow but his true love is the compound.

Sophie Devereaux is a dressage legend. Her first olympics was as a eventer but she decided her that true passion lies in dressage. She competed in 10 olympics total (7 of them in dressage, won gold in 5, silver in 2 and bronze in 1). Has ridden many horses in many games but her heart will always belong to Griff (short for Maximundo Grift Valegro LAM 15B9) a true white Lusitano Arab mix stallion, they won gold in 2 Olympics together (eventing and dressage). Sophie retired after the tragic death of her husband (and olympic gold medallist sailor) Nate Ford, decided to follow a career as an equestrian games commentator, trainer and social media sensation. Was invited by the BBC to be the main tv host of the Olympics coverage alongside the experts of their respective sports.

Eliot Spencer is a veteran that found himself in cooking and Taekwondo. He still feels like a newcomer, its hard not to when your peers became third-degree black belts at 15 and you discovered the sport at 23 and fresh off war. But goddamn Eliot tries his hardest. Now he is 31, it’s his second Olympics and he’s not going to settle for silver this time, his first and only goal is Gold (the second goal is having fun).

Breanna Casey is a skateboarding prodigy. She’s 16 and thrilled that skateboarding is finally being recognized as a legitimate sport and can finally rub on those mean boomer’s faces the she is an olympic athlete now (take that, you raisins!). She’s super nervous but she’s been on the international competition scene since she was 11, she got this… right? She’s a social media Menace with a capital M, 2 million followers on twitter and brand deals helped her so much with her sport expenses, Nana can only help so much with plane tickets and skateboard equipment. A shitpost master and posting in the middle of competitions is her Brand™ and the public loves it.

Harry Wilson feels like a deer in the headlights of a 12 wheeler truck and the only way out is to narrate what’s happening and he LOVES IT. He won a ticket to the golf preliminaries, got lost on the way back from the bathroom, met a lady he swears he saw on TV once and somehow he’s on national uk television commentating alongside an olympic legend and other experts now. He’s having the time of his life and if someone noticed the odd one out here they haven’t snitched yet. 

The majority of the crew doesn’t have a criminal background (I’m looking at you Parker) but when they notice that judges are being very unfair and showing favoritism they couldn’t sit still. They bump into each other while snooping around. 

Plot twist: turns out the judges are being paid off by a multibillion dollar company to tip the competition towards athletes sponsored by this corporation and that would bring them the most profit.

The payments are made in hard cash envelopes and hand delivered to avoid any paper trail. 

The grand heist is to intercept the 8 suit cases full of cash being delivered in the next 7 days, expose the judges and donate the bribe money to the wronged athletes.

Everyone is trying to be very professional and careful. Harry’s still having a great time.

~Kamaria definitely has the best singular relationship, with Bruno, of course. Her other relationships are horrible or non-existent but that’s what makes Brumaria so perfect 💜 Other than her, the Querencia team has the best relationships, they’re just a happy dysfunctional family that Lili is slowly becoming a part of.

~Ohh, best hair. Hmm…Kamaria has nice hair. Very curly, takes pretty good care of it as much as a medieval-ish assassin can. Liliana had nice curly hair but not taking care of it well for a few years (and not at all for one) has changed that. Cadence’s isn’t the best condition because she bleaches and dyes it. Nari dyes hers so often it should be falling out but I’ve decided that she knows a Super that has color-changing power 😂 Siren doesn’t get to take care of hers, either, so it’s not in the greatest condition. Jamil has awesome curly hair, too. And Oliver has lovely locks as well 😌 But I’ll have to go with Kamaria overall. Again, lol. I’m not biased or anything. Jamil is probably second place.

~Mmm, that’s a tough one. Maybe Quinn and Nari? He’s a substitute science teacher and the leader of the team, so he’s well educated and has to make lots of decisions. She’s his second in command, has a business degree, teaches taekwondo, and is the most people-smart of the team. On the other hand, Siren is the most underrated smart OC. She’s actually super sharp, picks up on everything she’s taught really quickly, and is really good at reading people, but everyone thinks she’s stupid because she only has a partial elementary education and has forgotten most of that.

~Kamaria again 😁 She’s got that magical connection to nature and while it’s nothing like a fully Vaya could do, it makes her feel closer to animals and treat them with more respect than the average human. (But Lili would also be an amazing dog owner and we all agree she needs and deserves one)

when it comes to audrina’s adoption and their parents, there is no scandal- much to the disapintment of new york city. instead of being raised in south korea, audrina’s birth parents made the decision to give them up for adoption. it was an open adoption and audrina grew up with their birth parents as close family friends and their guardians, viktor and anika. viktor and anika were unable to have biological children of their own and after adopting audrina, they started a foundation meant to help in the adoption process for parents struggling. 

it’s not as if audrina is hiding their sexuality. yhey just love having that part of their life hidden from the media and prying eyes. very careful not to be spotted, audrina has become the master at hiding their personal life from not only page 6 but gossip girl as well. it’s become a big speculation if they’re dating anyone at all and who is might be. anyone spotted with them is subject to the “are they dating” questions before it’s clear that whomever it is, is not audrina’s partner.

Tom Daley’s gold and Kimia Alizadeh’s victories are milestones for the Olympic spirit

13 years after he first stepped on to the diving board at the 2008 Games in Beijing, 27-year old diver Tom Daley has made Olympic history by winning gold for Team GB in the synchronised 10 meter diving event, together with his teammate Matty Lee. By edging ahead of China’s Cao Yuan and Chen Aisen by just one point (471.81 versus 470.58), Daley underscored just how far the Olympic Games have come in terms of acceptance towards LGBT competitors; whereas just 11 openly gay athletes competed alongside Daley at his first Olympics in 2008, 56 took part in the 2016 Rio games and nearly 170 are now in Tokyo.The first few days of events at these Summer Olympics have produced several other dramatic milestones for marginalized communities. On Sunday, taekwondo competitor Kimia Alizadeh nearly won the Olympic Refugee Team’s first medal, losing a tough match to Turkey’s Hatice Kubra Ilgun in a bronze medal match in the -57 kg category.On her way to competing for a second Olympic medal, however, Iranian-born Alizadeh - who won bronze while competing for Iran at the Rio games in 2016 - defeated not only Team GB’s two-time gold medalist Jade Jones but also her friend and former teammate, Iran’s Nahid Kiyani. In doing so, Alizadeh delivered an emphatic message to Iran’s theocratic government, whose systemic discrimination against women drove her decision to defect from her home country last year.

A landmark Olympic Games for marginalised communities

Given these Summer Olympics have welcomed by far the largest number of queer athletes in the history of the Games, Tom Daley’s gold medal will not be the last historic moment for the LGBT community in Tokyo. Already, the 2020 Games have become a milestone for transgender and non-binary Olympians: while most media attention has centred on Laurel Hubbard, a transgender athlete who has travelled to Tokyo as part of New Zealand’s women’s weightlifting team, midfielder Quinn of the Canadian women’s football team officially became the first transgender person to compete in the Olympic Games last week.With public attitudes towards the queer community changing rapidly across much of the planet, Olympic milestones like Tom Daley’s gold medal feed into the Tokyo Olympics’ broader theme of inclusivity, gender equality, and “unity in diversity,” which was underscored by the joint male and female flagbearers who led each national team into the Olympic Stadium during last Friday’s opening ceremony, as well as the artists with disabilities who occupied a central role in the performances.As Daley said after winning his first gold medal ahead of pairs from China and Russia (both countries where same-sex marriage is not legal): “I came out in 2013 and when I was younger I always felt like the one that was alone and different and didn’t fit... I hope that any young LGBT person out there can see that no matter how alone you feel right now, you are not alone. An Olympic-sized megaphone for refugees

Athletes outside of the queer community are also using the Tokyo Olympics as a platform to advocate for change, chief among them Kimia Alizadeh and her fellow members of the Olympic Refugee Team. The Games’ refugee contingent first competed at Rio in 2016, with International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach saying at the time that “we want to send a message of hope for all refugees in our world... having no national team to belong to, having no flag to march behind, having no national anthem to be played, these refugee athletes will be welcomed to the Olympic Games with the Olympic flag and with the Olympic Anthem.”As the media firestorm surrounding Alizadeh’s bout with her former teammate showed, however, the Germany-based taekwondo star still enjoys a considerable amount of support in her country of origin. When she defected from the Islamic Republic last year, Alizadeh called out a government which, in her words, “gave credit to compulsory hijab for my medals and praised their own management and wisdom.”Being the only Iranian woman to ever win an Olympic medal, Alizadeh’s defection and her impressive performance at the Tokyo Games have re-energized the debate over women’s participation in sports in Iran.
