We never really got to see them hang out one on one during the events of Camp Cretaceous (except once, and they were competing to see who’s lack of a childhood gave them the better skill set so) Idk, we only get a snippet of their dynamic in Chaos Theory, I just think their friendship (especially as adults) would be pretty interesting :3

Old sketches of Sebek’s parents! I was heavily inspired by egophiliac’s design for his parents and how his dad (being human) looks more like Sebek and his mom (the fae) is not at all green ꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱₊˚⊹ though now that Sebek’s grandfather had been revealed I might do a bit of a redesign or adjusting when it comes to both their designs

When it comes to thought process:

- Plover is a bird species that has a mutual relationship with crocodiles—they’re the ones that cleans their teeth!

- Mara is derived from the Old English “mare” which comes from a demon that torments people with nightmares

Headcanons I have for them:

- Pav talks A LOT while mara does most of the listening

- Theyre both considerate towards each other whether its personal space or opinions

- Pav enjoys tucking her hair from her face and cradling it with his hands

- Likewise mara holds his gently

- Pav's too quick to jump to mara's defense despite her being capable of doing so

- Mara finds pav a bit of a conundrum bc he's the only person that ever treated her gently

- She's the commander of the knights, and as a zigvolt she's mostly seen as an immovable rock

The Blocks Of Nostalgia

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga in Woohoo Hooniversity a room can be found, in this room there are blocks stored in here and are being studied. These blocks are called the Blocks of Nostalgia, and are blocks from Mario's Past Adventures. Upon hitting these blocks you gain some information about them.

The first block you can find is a Paper Block said to be made of a soft material and is pretty sturdy. This confirms in the main Mario world, the events of the Paper Mario games did happen.

The second block is an Exclamation Block that is being studied by scientist who are trying to uncover the technology that cases it to vanish. This could imply blocks in the Mario World are some kind of technology.

The next block is Pixel Block, being described as appearing metallic, and being made of an unknown secret material from the Mushroom Kingdom. Aside from possibly further connecting to my question on whether or not Pixel Mario is literal, this also ties into Super Mario Bros. In a previous post I mentioned how the Toads were turned into blocks and how this is the first game's explanation for Power-Ups. But I also mentioned it only applied to the first game and all other blocks are naturally occurring, well this confirms it. But it also means they aren't literally naturally occurring, someone is making these blocks.

The final block is the Dino Block, this block is from Dinosaur Land and is described as being made of a special shiny material, and it is shock resistant.

With all this information this basically establishes in the lore the blocks in Mario do have different versions, each man-made and made of a different material. This is also a way to connect and confirm the canonicity of several games. Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, Super Mario 64, and Super Mario Bros. 4 Super Mario World.

Also the repeated emphasis on dreams is interesting this episode, wonder if that'll play a part in something later on. 👀👀

Another way to look at this is asking... Is The Deep a new entity/fear or is it a servant of a fear like The Vast? I stg there was a colossal water monster at some point in The Magnus Archives!

Okay so yeah, there's already a precedent for this. Also feels like The Lonely, The Buried, The Corruption, The Vast, & maybe even The Flesh are all involved in this one though I don't know if Flesh (Ink5oul) is working with or against the other fears at this time.
