Honestly I'm kind of underwhelmed by the finale. It was good, but I feel like it is very complete and there's no real cliffhanger left to continue on with another season. But I am liking what's happening with the caracters so far.

Okay i've been doing some thinking. Conspiracy theories, killers, something to do with JJ, deep state all of that.

So I'm thinking government assets. Mkultra type shit. A soldier who was indoctrinated and kinda went too far and is now getting revenge against those who hurt them? I think the stuart house kid is a red herring. Nothing to do with the main gold star plot.

JJ did have that time in the middle east with the military so it is plausible that she's tangentially related and a target to frame or even a target of gold star bc of tangential connection. But luke wouldnt freak out like that if voit just said something like JJ's next. No. Voit said something that shattered luke's fundamental view of the world. I think something to do with Luke's military background. I have seen people say that gold star will frame JJ using deepfakes but i think unless criminal minds world has way better tech than irl i think that's something penelope could figure out easily, no?

But i do like the idea of all those things integrated. Surveillance state, deepfake tech, conspiracy theory culture, social contagion.

All in all. They got me again. I will be seated every week watching this shit again. They're gonna dangle garvez in front of me. I'm gonna grasp at temily crumbs. And i'm gonna eat it up

What if the writers at CME still are planning on Garvez being end game, but they're doing all this the draw it out. They know people love garvez and they're doing this to make people watch and drive up their viewing numbers? I could see that being true. I mean i kept watching before for Garvez, I'd still do it now if they left me with any hope

I understand your (and even the point of view of many people) thought. I don't say I'm not agree with you, I mean, it's possible that they give us crumbs to make garvez shippers watch.

But, the thing, in my opinion... hope I will not seem "brutal", because it's not my intention, but I have to be honest.

I was talking about it yesterday, with @veronicafiore88 . I just guess, because I don't have any data. And I guess that we, the true garvez shippers were... not even a quarter of the whole audience who watches Criminal Minds (Evolution and the previous seasons). Maybe even less.

But. There is a but. If they finally make garvez totally canon (because for me is already canon, even the triangle thing that Messer mentioned in last article... is a weird way to imply they are (canonically) romantic involved...

Anyway, I was saying... if they would make garvez canon, I think that 90% (probably more) of public would be happy for that. They are funny and cute. It's a fact. I speak considering the tweets and opinions I read/saw in years about them, written by not garvez shippers.

But if they don't... the "not-garvez-shippers" would just say... "oh, too bad" and keep watching.

Like my mother. She thinks they are cute but is not crazy like me. She watches CM for the crime, as for the all CSI series. She can ship sometimes, but she focuses especially on the crime part. I started watch CM for same reason (I made her watch CM, to be honest XD) and then I fell in love with characters.

I know that I will keep watching until they are on the same series and both alive. This is my decision, but I understand who thinks the right opposite. I will watch it for the whole BAU family, for crime and for garvez. And if you read any of my post you know how much crazy I'm for them.

But I decided, in last years, to not let a show (and not also other things) take me down again. So, I just take the good things I get, I focus on them, instead of the bad. I swear I do the same in real life for harder situation. And it helped me a lot. Like, for last episode I thought, the day before: okay, so if we don't get anything, as I guess, I will not have to spend all afternoon making my analysis... but then, if we get it... too bad, I'd have to. 😂

This doesn't mean I'm totally happy that they decided to take this direction, when in 15x10 it seemed canon confirmed, and not only in the show, even in all the followed interviews. But I really enjoy to see them on the screen. And I think that we got a lot in this finale. From Penelope side. She is about to join him.

And... they are just working on the scripts... all is still possible. I just wish and pray that writers (and Messer) will understand that make them a real couple will not "ruin" their dinamic... I mean... they know how works a real couple? My husband and I have a garvez dinamic and we still teasing each other, arguing...

One Italian series (because if you don't know, I'm Italian) I watched, have writers with the same "concern". I mean, they were scared that putting the protagonist and the man that was in love with her since first episode (she reached him slowly) would make people stop to watch. That the pleasure was in the waiting. Then... don't know what made them change their mind. But they did it. They given us 1,5 season with them as a couple and... this was a partially crime show. The dinamic was still there. The protagonist is a teacher that ends to solve crime. She met this charming commissar and... you know. She made her life at risk many time. And... ops, she did it even when she was with him romantically. The dinamic changed, yes. Because when they were a couple, he had the right to be so worried for her, while, before... he could do just like Luke, holding himself to not do more (because she was married and has a daughter, but her husband betrayed her two times...). I lost the path, as always. The point is: the writers of this series got that couple doesn't mean end of teasing. I wish that CM ones will do the same.

And meanwhile I will rewatch garvez scenes many times and making my stupid and also seriuous stuff.

I wonder if we'll get any sense of her feelings on it here, or what.

Ok so...Will is "fine". "Just an inflamed thyroid". Treatable, not life threatening... I'm suspicious. I don't trust a TV writer as far as I can throw 'em and I'm not that strong so. But this is an understandable thing to work on in their marriage - not keeping things from each other (about potentially dangerous situations). But like...is it just me or does it make sense they should have had this conversation after 9x14 "200". Y'know "No more secrets". Maybe they've been having variations on this argument for a while, though that is not how this conversation seemed to me. I can kind of see JJ being very black and white in her thinking, but justifying not telling Will about dangerous situations at work (until after) as not so much keeping a secret (which she was doing about her time in Afghanistan) but as waiting to share info. Anyway. I'm still worried about them/Will. This is not over yet.

Y'know what's adorable? Emily shares case discoveries with a bit of a smile, with enthusiasm (even with Noodle Bailey!). She delights in the hunt, in the solving of the puzzle. She takes pride in her work.

God I love Emily Prentiss. Sorry not sorry for being a broken record about it. The way she's trying to manage up - to school Noodle Bailey in (her brand of) how to lead. "You can either protect the people you serve, or protect your ass, but you can't do both."

We'll see where this goes but I appreciate that Bailey seems to be developing a respect for Prentiss.

Maybe tonight was the night, Janice thought to herself as she absentmindedly brushed orange Better Cheddar crumbs from her uniform. Feet propped up on her desk, she monitored the little clips of the building that flashed across her screens like her own personal FBI reality show. It’s how she saw her job most days, collecting pay to watch the world’s most boring reality tv. 

But of all her contestants, they were her favorite. 

The perky, quirky blonde and the muscular smiling agent from level 3. 

She could feel the tension between them, the furtive glances, heated gestures, and the too-close-to-be-friends stance that was routine.

She knew they were both BAU, and she observed the woman worked in-office, where the man would leave with a team frequently. But every day that they were in-office together, they’d leave at the same time, giving her this view into their private time in the elevator. Sometimes laughing, some times talking, sometimes pointing furious fingers and flicking at garments or arms.

She thought they were close to doing it once, the lady had been leaning fully side to side into the man, his arm snuggly around her waist holding her up, her head resting on his shoulder. She thought they’d kiss then, but they didn't. 

She was rooting for them, despite the rules. She’d never tell, she might even erase the….no. She couldn’t go that far, but no one would ever ask for the tapes anyway. The man hadn’t gone away today with the team, so she knew they’d leave together tonight. She loved those days, their quitting time the highlight of her work day.

Maybe tonight she thought again, watching them both load onto the elevator. They were standing closer than they usually did and they were facing one another which was unusual for them. Janice’s feet dropped from the desk, heavy boots hitting the linoleum below, sitting up, face drawing closer to the screen. 

The man was bringing both his arms around her waist. The blonde had set her large bag down next to his backpack, arms wrapping around his neck. 

Yes this was it 

Oh my god- she brushed her nose against his. 

He was walking her back into the corner.
