Tiny Kiyo might not be able to talk, but they probably understand each other better than any of the other duos. They've been carrying on entire conversations between them and no one understands how. Also, Kiyo's been pretty quick to find size-appropriate replacement items for his tiny. <3

Hi queer fans of queer stuff! How are we feeling with today's TV industry? How about really bloody angry?

Look, the recent cancelation of Dead Boy Detectives is obviously personal for its fandom, but it's also one more nail in the coffin and I think we have to start doing something about it together.

I went through this with Sense8. With Our Flag Means Death. With smaller but also amazing shows like The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself. Not to mention when it's not cancelled yet but it's boycotted with seasons cut in half or zero marketing. *I am tired*.

If you are too, I ask you to join the campaign. This is specifically about increasing views and attention, not because Netflix is necessarily going to change their minds (we know that's unlikely), but because we want to prove that we exist as a group.

So even if you don't feel like actually watching right now, we ask you to give it a stream if you have a Netflix account, with headphones connected or low volume. If you don't have a Netflix account, and honestly good for you, you can help by boosting us in social media.

I do recommend Dead Boy Detectives for real, it's REALLY good, but this is more about joining forces. They want numbers, so we give them numbers in the most petty way: after they cancelled so that other networks will get interested. At the very least, the crew and creators might get some royalties and they deserve it after busting their asses for years to give us this season.

Shadow and Bone - 2 seasons - Netflix - Season 3 was already mostly written when cancelled

My Lady Jane - 1 season - Amazon Prime - Story not resolved, set up for a second season (in fact the show shows you what's supposed to happen in the second season)

Half-Bad: The Bastard Child and the Devil Himself - 1 Season - Netflix - Main story wrapped up but easily open enough for a second series exploring the world

Star Wars: The Acolyte - 1 season - Disney Plus - First series feels mostly like set up for a second series we'll now never get

Dead Boy Detectives - 1 season - Netflix - Set up for a second series with a minor cliff hanger and an open continuation for the characters

Lockwood and Co - 1 season - Netflix - Potential for a second season

I Am Not Okay With This - 1 season - Netflix - Story not properly resolved, needed a second season

National Treasure: Edge of History - 1 season - Disney Plus - Story concluded, but lots of potential for a second season

Gentleman Jack - 2 Seasons - HBO Max/BBC - So much more potential, it had so much real life basis it could have followed

Our Flag Means Death - 2 Seasons - HBO Max - I actually liked the ending we got, but I feel like the show had more potential, particularly with the crew

First Kill - 1 season - Netflix - (Not one I watched, it was on my tbw but it got cancelled and I didn't see the point)

Grease: Rise of The Pink Ladies - 1 season - Disney Plus - So much more potential And Insult to injury they've all but wiped it from the platform

A running theme for these shows are that they have a pretty high amount of LGBT rep, with a lot of these shows centering on queer characters and stories, as well as representation for POC. There are also a lot of fantasy/supernatural shows.

I just find it fascinating that there seems to be a lot of similarities between most of these shows.

@queer-devil I'm basically 99% certain Meowscarada is a Deltarune reference!

Specifically, emulating chapter 1 Ralsei's design! The overall color scheme; the shape of the head (several points on top, fluffy sides); a bright pink neck collar; lighter green body; cloak; and dark legs - all align nicely to mimic the overall silhouette of our favorite dark world spellcaster!

Speaking of "dark world spellcaster"...

A) it's a dark dual type - common enough for cat-themed pokemon, and technically in Japan dark type is actually "aku" or "evil" type. But Game Freak has made a switch to international catering long before this, it could easily be a subtle reference. And, if Toby Fox himself had any input on this, that could easily have been a suggestion made from an english pov.

B) The "Magician" Pokemon... Pretty self-explanatory! Spells, magic, the whole nine yards!

I will say I believe the similarities end there as a visual/theme homage, but it's one of those cases where enough things collide and it stops being a coincidence - most damning being, again, Toby Fox has a prominent role in the game's production now (as opposed to a few cameo tracks in the last pokemon game), on top of all of this.
