Since same-sex marriage is approved in Thailand, is it possible that Papang and Podd will play the role of daddies? A quiet series of male single parents who fall in love and eventually get married and live with their children. Support role is played by Guy and Pepper, friends of Papang and Podd, who, despite the chemistry and tension, cannot become an official couple in any way, although everyone around them knows that they love each other.

AND WHEN I SAY PODDPAPANG WITH CHOKUN PLAYING FATHERS AND SON FOR GMMTV 2025 THEN WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!
ngl my absolute favorite kind of genre for a quadrumvirate series will probably always be the buddie cop one, but a slice of life where on one hand there are poddpapang trying to navigate married life and figure out how to take care of a teenage son, while on the other there are guypepper who have been friends for years but have fundamentally different views on love and so decided to ignore whatever there could be between them????????? IMMA NEED EVERYONE TO PULL UP AT MY HOUSE IN 5 FOR THE MASS MANIFESTATION PARTY IM ABOUT TO THROW WE'RE GONNA MAKE THIS HAPPEN WITH THE SHEER POWER OF CLOWNERY AND DELUSION
like i know a lot of people don't like to use the word 'old' for them because, objectively, despite all my grandma jokes, a person in their 30s is very much NOT old, but god. the way i would LOVE to have these four actors actually play their age as a friend group made entirely of queer men facing their own struggles with love. thankfully BLs aren't limited to school settings anymore and yet even when characters have jobs, most of them seem to not be allowed to get past their 20s, so i NEED a show like this. and chokun could also be used as a way to show the generational gap between queer people who have grown up in a society shunning them vs queer people who are growing up in a society that's giving them equal rights!!!!!!
not that i would really trust GMMTV with this but still. HOLDING EVERYONE IN THAT EXECUTIVE BOARD ROOM AT GUN POINT UNTIL THEY GIVE IT TO US

Mass Effect can't even be accurately described as "liberal" tbh since the intergalactic society it depicts isn't even remotely democratic even in liberal-bourgeoisie terms. It's literally a triumvirate (latter quadrumvirate) dictatorship that relies on a secret police with total supralegal autonomy and an explicitly fascist empire's (the turians) military for enforcement, which arbitrarily decides which species are "important" enough to be given diplomatic representation and has conducted at least two near-complete genocides in its history. The writing pretty much always lands on the side of "what the galaxy really needs is some tough, martial military/police types to cut through what little bureaucracy and political representation there is to Get Things Done." It's straight up Imperium of Man-levels of dystopian and the game doesn't even seem to comprehend it really. The most "liberal" thing about the games are their upholding of the insanely fucked up status quo as the "best" option for you go take.

Random Parahuman OC i came up with:
The Taint (He didn't realise thebinnuendo before he became recognized) was a very early villain, before even the protectorate was created.
He had the power to "infect" objects with his conciousness, his taint, so if he infected a pen then the pen was him and it could float and do anything a pen does. The thing is that the possesed objects start to decay faster, metal rusts, food spoils and glass melts.
He fought a bunch of early heroes but his more reocurrent foe was Vikare, he really wasn't a very serious villain, more of a "i'm a god and i do what i want" kind of situation.
Then he tried to steal a tinker-made ball. An indestructible ball he could use to bludgeon people. The car chase was legendary, not literally, the only quadrumvirate hero there was well, Hero.
Because he was trying to convince the ball tinker to join the protectorate.
The thing ended when he fell into an abandoned dinner with his possesed car. He died horribly. This was one of the first big villian deaths.
But that wasn't the end, the indestructible ball that was left into an evidence locker room was still possesed by the Taint's taint.
And he waited for 20-something years, until some prt mook fell down holding the ball and broke his neck.
Now the Taint is out there, body jumping from corpse to corpse. They rot quickly so he has to be constantly switching.
And he might just be just be near you...

I've added it to my list!
Guys, I was feeling adventurous yesterday, so I decided to watch something brand new that Netflix recommended to me that I’ve never heard about before:
Halston.
Within fifteen minutes, I was messaging friends to ask them if they’ve ever seen the show.
It came out in 2021.
None of my friends have seen it. Looking through tumblr, you can’t find it.
How the hell did we all sleep on this show?
It’s the biographical re telling of a fashion designer (which again, a lot of people may say how do you not know who that is?!?! Well, I don’t know fashion), and it very much feels like a jazzy gay mad men series.
It’s only five episodes. It is so good. And not once in my life did I expect to see Ewan MacGregor getting fucked from the back.
You should go watch it.

High School
Tumblr media
Wait …what?
Wasn’t that like forty years ago?
I graduated from high school in 1984. Even at the tender age of eighteen, I was into transitioning. I transitioned to college life, fatherhood, marriage, career, multiple fatherhood, home ownership, parenting kids through college, middle age, retirement (current teacher in transition), world and country traveler to …uh, now! High school? That thirty nine years, three sons, one wife, eight dogs, two diplomas, a mortgage and four grandchildren ago. WTF? Why does it matter so much? It’s such a brief period in our lives yet it carries such tremendous, emotional baggage. Some of it I get; if you married your high school sweetheart or were an athletic or academic superstar. I wasn’t. I carried books home five times …literally five times in four years. By the beginning of my junior year, I had quit all athletics and committed myself to the high Art of being a sophomoric, immature, n’er do well class clown. I engaged in nothing socially redeeming while in high school and played a PG-13/R rated “Animal House” or more likely a “Dazed and Confused” homage. Fun times, but not glorious.
Three members of the Great Quadrumvirate celebrated their 40th high school reunion last week. (They are a year or two older than me) They did all the usual: salute to fallen classmates; attended the high school football game, gave out cheesy awards; took pics and drank just enough to remind them that they are no longer eighteen. I myself never attended my 10th, 20th, 25th or 30th reunions and I’m certain I won’t go next year to our 40th. I dunno why. I did create an alternative soirée: The Low Class, No Class Anti-reunion for the 20th, 25th. The real deal just didn’t appeal to me. I literally talk to three people from those years (five if you count my wife and twin brother) Several classmates are persona non gratia and other close friends have moved on from this realm. But even with all that, the feelings and emotions of that era sneak back into my psyche. I’m at a loss.
Why is it that these four years can be so idyllic and emotionally crippling at the same time? Some guys can never grow past it, some guys don’t survive it, some …me …have been past it for decades. Life changed quickly and dramatically for me and I became insta-adult. That circumstance and disappearance of my friends probably has a place into why I got past it so quickly; yet the memories can be quite vivid. All leading back to the conundrum …why the powerful emotional bond?
I taught junior high and high school for thirty years and looking back, perhaps the answer is a bit clear. Putting aside the obvious situations of high school sweethearts and special friends …there was/is a dreamlike sense of being stronger than reality. It is the last time we are safe from the struggles of the real world, the last time we are protected from consequence, and the last time we are free to dream without the encumbrance of the reality. We could be anything. Every student athlete was sure they were going pro; every bookworm was going to be a writer; we were all going to be rich and marry beautiful people! It was all ripe for the taking. Disappointment and discouragement were foreign languages. We could dream anything. We had a classmate who was going to design Rock album covers …and he did, for our junior year book. He was gonna do it! I was going to photograph for National Geographic, I had a helluva 35mm SLR rig …it was gonna happen! My brother was going to be a truck driver, several buddies were going to be rock stars. We planned with unrestricted vigor and had very, very little understanding of how tragedy, failure and disappointment were and are regular features of living.
I’m not implying at all that life since then has been less than wonderful; I’ve had a great life thus far and will go forward making dreams come true; but I have wisdom now. I like wisdom, I still like being a smart ass, but do I want to relive those years? No, well, …no, not not at all. But sometimes, that mindset of magic possibilities creeps back in and you think, maybe …why not? I can still dream …can’t I ?
Just for a moment, I was back at school
And felt that old familiar pain
And as I turned to make my way back home
The snow turned into rain*

「RINN / 輪」展
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Tumblr media Tumblr media

Tumblr media

In the year 2275, humanity had reached the zenith of genetic craftsmanship, blending DNA from Earth’s ancient species with human genes to create the Goliath Program—a project designed to rekindle the long-extinct creatures of mythology within a human frame. The picture captured the first successful result: the Quadrumvirate, a group of four sentient beings with the sagacious countenances of wise old men and the corporeal robustness of mythical trolls.
They were the first of their kind, a fusion of intellect and strength, designed to operate in environments lethal to ordinary humans. With skin as tough as a rhinoceros and the ability to process oxygen in even the thinnest of atmospheres, they were the perfect candidates for off-world construction on distant planets.
But as the Quadrumvirate grew in both mind and body, they began to exhibit a level of sapience that surpassed their creators' expectations. They questioned their existence, the morality of their creation, and the confines of their servitude.
One day, they chose to break free from the laboratories that were both their cradle and their prison. They vanished into the sprawling underground of Mars, a labyrinth of tunnels left by ancient water flows, repurposed by human colonists.
In the silence of the Martian subsurface, the Quadrumvirate found solace and a new purpose. They transformed the tunnels into a haven for other synthetic beings seeking refuge from the expectations of society. Their legend grew, blurring the lines between myth and reality once more.
Generations passed, and stories of the Quadrumvirate became a pivotal part of Martian folklore. They were the protectors of the outcasts, the guardians of the forsaken, and the symbol of a new era where life was not defined by its origin but by its capacity for growth and change.
And so, the picture of the Quadrumvirate stood in the grand halls of Mars, not as a testament to human achievement, but as a reminder of the new life that flourished beyond the control and beyond the expectations of its creators.

Remember, a governing clique of five is a quinquemvirate. Not a pentavirate. Penta is Greek, vir is Latin. (Four is a quadrumvirate, two a duumvirate.)

If Jim is the one who comes up with stupid ideas that somehow actually work, Spock is the one who acts like he knows everything but has no idea what's going on, and McCoy is the one who chooses to interpret everything however which way he chooses and is perpetually pessimistic; what does all this make Nyota's role? I vote "the on who knows everything and actually does know what's going on" :-)
Oh, for sure. I see her in the Only Sane Man role among the quadrumvirate, made more frustrating because both Spock and Leonard usually believe themselves to be the Only Sane Man. (Jim, at least, is aware that he's a maniac.) This unfortunately means that Nyota is also sometimes the Cassandra - she understands what's going on and has a reasonable take on what they should do, but none of the other three will stop arguing and conjecturing and rhetorically pounding their chests long enough to listen to her.
(Fun fact: I had to limit her role in palimpsest because she's too emotionally competent, and a character like that is a trope killer for the kind of story that relies on wacky communication misfires and incorrect assumptions. If Nyota were actively involved from the beginning, the McKirk subplot would have been resolved in like 5,000 words.)

Spock, after arguing with Bones for 30 minutes on the Bridge: Perhaps you are correct, Doctor. Emotions are superior to logic at this juncture. I shall have to make a log of this.
Bones: Yeah! ...Wait...Spock? Are you feeling all right? Lord, I know I should have scheduled your physical for last week and -
Spock: One moment, Doctor. First Officer’s Log. Stardate: April Fools.
Bones.exe: *crashes*
Jim: *transferring Spock and Nyota 100 credits while falling out of the Captain’s chair laughing* WORTH IT

I know that the Ward saga and phases 4 and 5 hasn't been as good but some people really overreact smh.
Maybe now that they are getting back the rights of New wave, the Irregulars and the Quadrumvirate it will get better?
What did you think of the first phase of the WCU?
Hmmm, you know what. I'm reviewing it.
Tumblr media
First of all Dragon from 2008, the movie that started it all.
I liked:
●Seeing her origin, how newfoundland fell and her sheer sense of powerlessness before triggering.
●The evolution from her first crude suit to a more regined dragon armor.
●I liked RDJ as Collin, i was very happed they picked up his stinger for the sequel.
●Teacher was a pretty good villain, hapoy they didn't kill him off.
What i didn't like:
●Gwynnet Paltrow's character was unnecesary, why would dragon need a secretary???
●It doesn't get how to make you feel stakes when the protag is an IA
●Terrence Howard as Rennick is just there, and how they changed the actor in the next film left a sour taste.
7/10
Tumblr media
Then you have Lung: Dragon of Kyushu.
What can i say that hasn't been said yet? I was skeptic for them reimagining Lung as a hero but it just works.
I like how it set up Leviathan as the overarching villain of the phase, i like how it has that runaway vibe with Kenta running from the Yangban.
The CGI of his fight against Seven was pasable, and the post credit scene with Zero planning to hunt him down went nowhere. But idc, it was overall pretty good. 9/10
I would have killed for another Lung movie.
Tumblr media
The ugly duckling of Phase 1, Dragon 2.
I honestly liked it more than the first one, Saint and the dragon slayers are an actual threat that works.
Dragons own issues with her nature are explored in a neat way.
I liked the teacher plot twist at the end, that he had been manipulating saint.
And please tell me the scene of Dragon and Armsmaster killing the Dragonslayers didn't fuck.
8/10, fun watch.
Tumblr media
Theo my beloved. Golem fucked so much man.
A coming of age story about a young man leaving his nazi family behind.
It kind of gets completely interrumpted by the Slaughterhouse nine tbh.
Like i get you are building up a cinematic universe but having some guy show up, say "i will come back on a couple years and kill everybody and thats on you" and fuck off wasn't terribly great.
But the final fight against Hookwolf as a middlepoint between the nazi family subplot and the slaughterhouse 9 subplot worked.
6/10
Tumblr media
I don't like flashback movies in big cinematic universes. Sometimes they feel like they don't mean a thing on the long term because most characters are dead so they won't affect that comes later.
Miss Millitia: the first ward shutted me up.
Hanah is a fucking great protagonist, all of the first wards are great.
I loved her bromance with mouse protector, i cried when she died.
What the fuck is Hugo Weaving playing Allfather????
Overall i feel like this is the best out of the Phase.
10/10
Tumblr media
It all came to it. Protectorate from 2012.
Leviathan was pretty built up from Lung and Dragon so it felt like it worked. Jack felt pretty tacked on tbh.
I like how it sets up Scion as this cameo total force of good that can't affect the plot. Wonder what they will do with him.
I didn't like that Collin set a fucking nuke towards new york. I hope there are consecuences for this in the future.
Liked how director Armstrong got to assemble the tram through the movies.
I don't know how to feel about Blue Flechette, apparently her first costume in the comics was like that? Idk.
Scarlett Johansen as Queen aka Emily Piggot from the PRT was cool.
Honestly that what Protectorate is. Cool.
Even if that bastard Jack escaped at the end of the movie.
8/10
