Donald Duck saves his nephews - Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck - Quack Pack - Happy birthday Donald Duck! - Father's Day - Video clip
9/6/1934 The Classic Short “The Wise Little Hen” was shown and Donald Duck appeared there for the first time. Donald Duck will become one of the main stars of not only Disney, but also cartoon films, comics and video games at all. Certainly there is no need to tell his history.
An excerpt from the Quack Pack episode “Noisy Neighbors” and I am uploading this video again for my own reasons, since the previous one did not work properly (problem in the tags as far as I know). I'm definitely posting it for Donald's 90th birthday as well as Father's Day! Happy Father's Day to all fathers, uncles and grandfathers!
I’m posting this just in case, because Donald Duck is both father and mother to his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, that is, a real parent to them and unfortunately most people still deny it. That’s why I posted this clip showing Donald saving his nephews from two evil thieves, as well as sacrificing his night lamp to save his teenage nephews from being crushed by a garbage disposal. And in the end, Huey, Dewey and Louie embrace him as their real parent, as the Unca Donald they’ve always thought of him as.
Yes, whatever you think about Quack Pack, it was the only animated series that showed a lot of moments of dynamic relationships between Donald Duck and his nephews, like father-son relationships, and in my opinion it was the best segment of that underrated series. Of course, you have a lot of that in comics, but unfortunately only in animation is Quack Pack showing it well. Of course, the OG Ducktales and Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas also showed well, only that Donald was a secondary character and less shown than his nephews, while in the Ducktales reboot, there were only some moments of hugs and nothing more. That’s why I appreciate and love this series. My opinion.
By all means, if you’re a fan of Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey and Louie, and a fan of the Quack Pack, please like and reblog this! And Happy Father’s Day and Happy Belated Birthday to Donald’s Nephews as well as Happy 90th Birthday Donald Duck! Because today is that day!

“The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance” Gets Delayed Till 2025 As Part Of The Disney Afternoon 35th Anniversary
Sad news Disney Afternoon fans, “The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance” got delayed once again this time slated for a Fall 2025 release date according to Jake S. Friedman.
Likely the reason for this delay is to coincide with The Disney Afternoon 35th anniversary on 2025 and Disney TVA's 100th show ("StuGo" & "Robogobo") already airing on that time.
Tumblr media
The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance” will include sections dedicated to DuckTales (2017) and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) as well a small section named “THE NEWEST WAVE: Or Rewrite History" likely dedicated to Disney TVA's current & future slate as part of the studio's 40th anniversary and it's 100th show ("StuGo")

Sorry for the long delay, but we’re back.
Quack Pack Week is return!
After a long break, we are back and this year we will pay more attention than before. Admittedly, the template we wrote on is not something, but it will mean a lot to many who will join this year's Quack Pack Week. Yes, some topics are the same as last time, for some reasons since some could not devote themselves to this, and now they can, that is, you can. We are not sure if we should organize it once or twice this year, because this year is a big anniversary because of the 100th anniversary of Disney, the 90th year since the first appearance of Donald Duck and the 40th anniversary of the creation of Disney Television Animation, ie Disney Afternoon. For now, Quack Pack Week will run from February 12th to February 18th.
Overall, the following themes for this year’s Quack Pack Week will be a choice of one of two themes, or you can take both, if you prefer. The following themes for this year’s Quack Pack Week are:
February 12 - Quack Pack Original VS Quack Pack Reboot
February 13 - School / Job
February 14 - Valentine's Day / Holiday
February 15 - Forest / Jungle
February 16 - Food / Drink
February 17 - Superheroes / Supervillains
February 18 - Crossover(s) / Family
Rules:
Not allowed: incest, gore, NSFW, fetish, vore, Ducktales episode Quack Pack (because that episode has nothing to do with the original show other than that title itself). Except for the first topic, it is then allowed, but the original should be included. However, this is dedicated to the original series.
You can write fanfiction, post some pictures, screenshots or videos from Quack Pack or simply draw drawings from the given topics. The decision is up to you. Similar to last time.
And yes, if someone can't make it, feel free to post a day later or a week later, we're certainly patient, but please do it by the end of February. And thank you all for this understanding.
Tag Quack Pack Week with "#quack pack week" in tags or tag us with @quackpackweek just to know and be up to date. That is, post your works through our tags. And don't post it before Quack Pack Week starts. Thank you!
Everything is welcome!
Don´t forget to follow and Reblog to spread the news!
And you are free to ask what interests you and what confuses you here on this blog.
Of course, as far as this post is concerned, you can also post on other social networks, but in contact with us and with our permission.
Quack Pack Week preparations can begin!

If I may blog out about DVDs for a second…
I went to a second-hand store this morning, because I’d seen them carrying the 2000 Toy Story boxset, and heard about the positives of it. How the picture is more authentic to the original theatrical releases, as the 2005 DVDs dimmed the colours and shadows, and every release since them has carried those over. So even though it was in rough condition, I decided to get it.
But when I went and got it, I also noticed that there DVD on the left.
Tumblr media
I picked it up after noticing it had 4 Winter-themed Disney cartoons on it.
Toy Tinkers, a 1949 Donald Duck cartoon
Snow Place to Hide, an episode of Quack Pack
Mickey’s Mixed Nuts, a segment from Mickey Mouse Works
and A Christmas Cruella, from 101 Dalmatians: The Series
With how rare home video releases are of Disney Television Animation productions, I knew I had to pick it up. And sure enough, when I got home and put it in the PS2 in my room, there they were. Mickey Mouse Works and 101 Dalmatians: The Series on a disc out in the wild. I haven’t watched the Quack Pack episode on it yet, because my camerawork wouldn’t do it justice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only bummer with it is that it doesn’t include the intros, which is a shame, because I may never see the original Mouse Works and Dalmatians intros in DVD quality again. There’s this incomplete recreation of the Dalmatians intro on Disney+ I never vibed with. But other than that, I have what I think is a rare release with an eclectic selection of Disney shows. I will treasure it always.
Sorry for the rushed pictures, I’m just really excited to have this.

Next up for Disney TVA, who is your favorite character from the cartoons in the second half of the Disney Afternoon era (1993-96): Marsupilami, Aladdin the Series, Gargoyles, The Shnookums & Meat Funny Cartoon Show, Timon & Pumbaa, Quack Pack, and Mighty Ducks the Animated Series? Skipped Bonkers since you said in the last ask that you haven't seen it yet.
Okay so getting this out of the way again (And yup haven't seen bonkers) So in addition to bonkers Marsupliami (though ti looks good and snookums and meat . Aladdin the Animated Series: No faviorite as I've only seen maybe one episode in recent years , but I do hear it's a fun adventure show and remmeber it being okay as a kid. never realized as a kid the two dtv movies werne't their own movies but the pilot for the show and it's finale respectivley (both still stand find on their own and return has if nothing else I can remmeber your only second rate)
youtube
Gargoyles: I LIVE AGAIN! I really need to watch this series in full at some point.. honestly reviewing it might not be a terrible idea as it'd at least get me around to it. I'll figure it out. Faviorite is Xanatos. Even just READING about him I loved the guy, a villian so damn good at gambits tv tropes named it after him and whose clever as he is self serving. The show itself is again one I BADLY need to watch as i've only seen a few scattered episode but the one that sticks in my mind I Had on vhs in high school, Deadly Force sticks out. It handles gun saftey.. in a way that dosen't feel hackned or over the top. Elsa gets shot.. but she made the mistake of leaving her gun unmprotected and apparently the show is consitent in making sure she never does again. IT's a show with a deep intretsing mythos, voice acting royalty, and is worth a look. Again I wouldn't mind doing a retrospective at some point (Splitting season 2 up a bit ) covering the first two seasons, the slave labor graphics comics and the recent revivial comics following up on those. Not plugging there either I just think gargoyles is neat. It's disney's equilvent to batman the aniamted series in my mind and it's a shame they never really captlized on it
Timon and Pummba: Only seen some of this for a review, it seems.. okay. Not terrible by any means but nothing I really want to watch despite loving these two characters.
Quack Pack: Daisy whose redesign while attractive is also fun and is that nice sweet spot of being fed up with donalds shit sometimes but not you know cheating on him, abusing him or everything three cabs daisy did. Don't be three cabs daisy folks. The show itself i've only seen a few eps of, some for reviews some on my own time but honestly.. it's okay. It has a reptuation for being awful, for being garbage that brought down the whole disney afternoon.... but really.. it's fine. I think a lot of people raging against it forget that donald getting into domestic scraps is just as much a par tof his dientity as donald duck the greatest adventuerer who ever lived. most of his shorts come from some small incident such as his car breaking down, a raido cooking show or his cousin showing up to eat everything he has. So going back to that with a bit of advneture weirdness ocasionally thrown in seems fine. Some plots do sound.. insane but the show seems okay. The versions of the boys.. are a bit weaker but it's less for characterization (thier about the same as they were in ducktales just older) , and more for trying to make them sound cool and that despite giving them unique va's.. they didn't do much in the ones i've seen to actually defenrtaite them. And honestly the redesigns are solid
Tumblr media
Daisy and Donalds are great an dth eboys are fine. Their hair and Louie's backwards hat are 90s as hell but honetsly they aren't half bad and now I think about it dewey's would perfectly fit the 2017's dewey's love of attention and need to be seen as a jock. The show is far from perfect and some episodes seem nuts again like Huey's dental surgery turning him into a super villian.. but overall it's just fine. Not super mediocre, but not as bad as it gets a rep for. Also the humans thing... eh why not. I prefer an all furry universe, but I get Donald has interacted with humans before.
Mighty Ducks: One I haven't revisited and don't really.. intend to. It's a weird piece of the duckverse, with aliens, 90's super powers and hockey. I might check it out for the novelty as I have gained a love of hockey due to certain canadian television series
Tumblr media
But otherwise it's just kinda.. there. There are other 90's action shows to visit. Gargoyles is just down the block. BTAS exists. I just really.. dont' care.

Huey Duck from Quack Pack - Icons
I know I owe another Duck brother from the Quack Pack, and the oldest brother at that. It's Huey Duck and I'm uploading pictures or icons of his character from the underrated series Quack Pack, from the episode "Cat & Louse" that refers to him. In fact, he has Ailurophobia, or the fear of cats, and was afraid of black cats in particular since he was a little boy, until he overcame his fear. However, he has a slight sneeze and an allergy to cats. Poor him. Yes, Dewey and Louie helped him a lot to overcome that fear and Huey managed to get Raven, the pet black cat of the cruel Andre Demouche, to his side. I definitely recommend that you watch that series and that episode who hasn't yet.
As with Dewey and Louie Duck, I put a photo of the icons (icons of Huey Duck) here, although some are more repetitive. So if someone needs it, feel free to use it, but for GOOD PURPOSES, NOT FOR NEGATIVE. Yes, all the impressions and feelings from the oldest triplet (red triplet) from one episode in one picture (two pictures actually). That is all. I hope to create icons for other characters and cartoons and comics, if I have the opportunity.
If you want to see pictures of the iconic Dewey Duck look here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/670862385307893760/dewey-duck-from-quack-pack-icons-ive-posted
If you want to see pictures of the iconic Louie Duck look here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/664431415688036352/louie-duck-from-quack-pack-icons-somewhere-i-saw
Of course, those who love this version of Huey Duck and love this duck, feel free to like this or reblog this.

📚The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance

Disney Publishing Worldwide
Disney Editions Deluxe
November 5, 2024
When the Disney Afternoon premiered in 1990, kids tossed their backpacks aside to watch their favorite Disney television characters. Unlike with feature films, these stars had a new adventure every weekday, and their audience journeyed with them on a daily basis. Throughout the '80s and '90s, Disney raised the bar with a lineup of innovative, high-quality television animation. The characters were endearing, the writing was clever, and the art was exceptional. Those who grew up with these characters have continued their love affairs for shows like Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, TaleSpin, and the irrepressibly beloved DuckTales, deep into adulthood. For the first time, learn the history of the Disney Afternoon shows, read interviews from the creative teams, and revel in rare, behind-the-scenes artwork, plus get the full making of story of the modern-day DuckTales series and the meta-driven Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers film and its legacy connections to the past for a new generation of fans.

Birthday party for Donald, Daisy and Della Duck! - Happy Birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck - Ducktales 2017 - Duckverse June - Week 1 - My Version - Gift for my friends
I drew on June 7th. After a long time, I decided to draw again related to Ducktales 2017, even though I'm not a fan of that series, but as they say everyone deserves a second chance. Is not it? So I decided to draw related to the great jubilee that is being celebrated these days and of course the favorite modern series by many, so I decided to draw Donald Duck, Della Duck and Daisy Duck with their family in Ducktales 2017 format, of course in my style. Because I'm not a fan of Ducktales 2017 style which is really weird for me.
On June 7, 1940, Donald's classic short "Mr Duck Steps Out" was shown, featuring Daisy Duck for the first time. 9/6/1934 The Classic Short "The Wise Little Hen" was shown and Donald Duck appeared there for the first time. Donald Duck will become one of the main stars of not only Disney, but also cartoon films, comics and video games at all. Certainly there is no need to tell his history. Della Duck is first mentioned in the comic book Donald's Nephews, and then made her first appearance in the 1994 comic strip "The Empire Builder from Calisota" by Don Rosa, from The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. For the first time Della Duck appeared as a mother and adult woman and had a role in the Dutch comic "80 is Prachtig" from 2014, and she appears for the first time in animation in the Ducktales reboot. Also five years ago is the anniversary of the episode "What Ever Happened to Della Duck?!" where officially Della Duck got her role.
Well, since they are honored these days, and especially Donald Duck who is celebrating his 90th anniversary this year, I drew a birthday party where everyone celebrates their birthdays together. Donald, Daisy and Della Duck along with their family and their friends. Because what kind of birthday is it, without your closest ones. Yes, Donald is in the middle since he is definitely the main one, but he suffered a lot in that series so he definitely deserved the best. Finally, that Donald is happy after a long time and can finally rest. Yes, this is how I imagine the end of Ducktales 2017. And with him are his twin sister Della and his favorite love and girlfriend Daisy Duck. Yes, I also drew the characters as I like to imagine them in my Ducktales AU and Quack Pack reboot based on Ducktales 2017 as well as different outfits that would suit them quite well. Since I can't think of anything else, sorry, and I added Donald's nephews also wear caps and most of them wear jeans. Huey and Louie wear backwards hats. Yes, they are teenagers here too. :D And in front of Donald, of course, a birthday cake with cherries.
In addition to Donald, Daisy, and Della Duck, there are Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck, plus Phooey Duck and Kabooie or Kablooie Duck (Donald's fifth nephew, usually wearing brown clothing), Gosalyn Mallard (who is with Huey), Webby Vanderquack and Lena De Spell (Sabrewing, otherwise they are together), May and June Duck, Violet Sabrewing, Scrooge McDuck, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and Gandra Dee, Gladstone Gander, Fethry Duck, Drake Mallard, Launchpad McQuack, Gyro Gearloose (to draw alone how he smiles I didn't think I'd ever do this), Boyd Beaks-Gearloose and Bentina Beakley. And everyone together celebrates the important birthdays of the most important Ducktales characters. Adults and children together. Happy birthday to you Donald, Daisy and Della Duck!
If you are interested in more about these outfits, check out this drawing here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/742447670629744640/quack-pack-week-quack-pack-original-vs-quack
Also, check out other Donald, Daisy and Della Duck birthday parties (adults and kids): https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/751985132490113024/donald-duck-della-duck-daisy-duck-gus-goose-and https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/751983235321430016/huey-dewey-and-louie-ducks-plus-phooey
Feel free to like and reblog, if you like this drawing and this version of the Ducktales characters, please also don't use the same versions without mentioning me. Thank you! Happy Birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck once again!
I also did this related to Duckverse June, so I'm dedicating this drawing as a gift to @tokuvivor , @secret-tester and @queer-in-a-cornfield . I also dedicate my gift to my friend from Discord, for @puffyducks @puffywuffy8904 who celebrated his birthday a month ago, and I wish him a happy birthday and sorry for the delay! Also, this is a gift for my friend @boingodigitalart, as well as for all of you who are fans of Ducktales 2017.

Daisy Duck was indeed a mother figure, Aunt Daisy so to speak, just not married to Donald yet. I'm not that big of a fan of Daisy in the Quack Pack, but I liked how she was a good parent to them who understood them well. These episodes you mentioned do a good job of explaining Daisy's relationship with Huey and Dewey, but she also had a good relationship with Louie and gave him advice in the episode "None Like it Hot" where Louie is unable to save his brothers but Daisy encourages him and helps him him to save Louie's brothers. I think these are good examples of how Daisy could have fit right in with Donald's family. Otherwise as I noticed the Quack Pack next to Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas where they did a good job of portraying the relationship between Daisy and Donald's nephews as a mother and son relationship at least in terms of animation. I'm surprised Ducktales 2017 didn't do that. In the comics, you have those examples, just not as the relationship between Donald and his nephews.
By the way, what I appreciate most about the Quack Pack is the great dynamic relationship between Donald and his nephews as a father and son relationship, just like uncle and nephews. Unlike both versions of Ducktales, Quack Pack is well represented and unfortunately the only animated good representation of it. Donald is a jerk who punishes his nephews severely, but he really has a big good heart to save them in many troubles, just like his nephews who save their uncle every time. Although not based on the comics, a lot can be found in the comics as far as their relationships. Again that's just my opinion.
Yes, Huey likes to be the prettiest and dresses up like a girl, although he often has crushes on girls and looks like Casanova and James Dean.
Have you noticed that HDL has a very close interaction with Daisy in the QP? Especially Huey, who is obviously picking up some habits from Daisy? They can see her as a mother figure, in analogy to Donald.
Daisy being a mother figure? I can definitely see it.
She has quite a few moments where she is the first one they go to for problems without Donald's help
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HDL: Hello. That's what we've been saying. Daisy: Boys, this is a problem.
(Quack Pack, "Pride Goeth Before the Fall Guy")
Especially when the problem is Donald.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daisy: You're right, boys. He is behaving oddly. Daisy: Well, I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for all this...... maybe not.
(Quack Pack, "The Germinator")
She's supportive, regardless of whether the issue is big, or just a little food stand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dewey: We're trying to start a business, but no one wants to try our Tasty Paste. Daisy: Well, I'll tell you what. I'll be your first customer. Daisy after seeing the food: *laughs nervously* Looks scrumptious.
(Quack Pack, "Tasty Paste") This took place in Huey's dream, but if anything it helps the point that this is how they see her.
As for Huey taking after her, I don't remember any specific things (beyond the scene below), but I definitely believe it. This scene makes me think she could swap beauty tips with him.
(Quack Pack, "Heavy Dental") Huey goes through a rigorous beautifying routine for a pretty boy contest.
Bonus: Daisy saying a very Auntie sounding thing (at least to me, could just be an old person phrase)
Tumblr media
Daisy: My taste buds are doing the Fandango!
(Quack Pack, "Tasty Paste")
Edit: I was watching "I. O. U. A U. F. O." while writing this up and to add to the earlier Daisy stuff, She was pretty supportive of Dewey's attempts to find a UFO, even though she obviously thought it was all a scam. Meanwhile Donald, Huey, and Louie were just causing trouble and pranking them.

Here is my finished palette challenge request for @ducklooney !
It features Scrooge in traditional Scottish garb, complete with bagpipes, surrounded by his ecstatic great nephews (well, most of them are excited), as they appear in the "Quack Pack" series!
Please note that I am no longer taking requests for the palette challenge. This was a request I got before the deadline of September 26 and I haven't been able to finish it until now because of my busy schedule.
Once again, thank you to everyone who sent me requests! I had a really fun time drawing everything!

Re: Della - It’s wild how Scrooge has a giant secret room dedicated to Della, all of which meant nothing. One of the first things that we learn about Della from Selene is that “she makes everyone around her better.” But when she gets home, she doesn’t really do that? She’ll help people from time to time, but she seems to be better at making people worse than better. Which - again - could be a point about how the hero may not live up to myth! But why is Della so drastically different?
Exactly!
Now to be fair for the "makes everyone better" it could have very easily been a case of she's not in an emotionally healthy position to do that. Because she's needlessly immaturely petty about Launchpad. Which I get it, it's a kids show. Adults acting childish is somewhat of a joke.
There are dozens of ways I think they could have better meshed the two Della's. If we had literally had any character call out that she's not herself, that the moon trip changed her, or any of the triplets acknowledge their mother isn't quite what they thought I think it would have done a world of good for the plot line.
I don't think it would have really been enough, because there were issues present in Della's proper debut actually (I can't get over the fact her sketching the spear of Selene was a plot point, and then she's bad at art and her attempts at rebuilding the spear were laughable. She's good at seeing the angles... except the only thing she correctly predicted was Penny being her friend, and that almost felt like they forced it in there to be like "look, she's like Louie too", instead of actually making her like Louie.
Which that said I think it would be really interesting if Della was good with people. That's what she brought to the first trio. Scrooge is Scrooge and no one can understand Donald. That's the impression I got, and then her social skills are rusty and she's hurt so she's struggling to connect. But we don't see that. She's kind of treated like a child. When I mentioned canon Della doesn't bring anything to the table besides "can fly without crashing", I feel like this socialness could have been something. Especially since the family fell apart in her absence. I wanted guilt over that and the show just brushed over it and Della acts like there isn't anything wrong with her family either.
I wonder if part of it was disney's insistence on focusing more on the kids. Because the creators often noted how disney kept wanting them to focus on the kids and not the adults so much like Fenton and Scrooge. And so the creators used up all their "adult" time on other characters. But, this might be a hot take, but I do wish they did focus more on the kids. I'm just a kids antics enjoyer tbh, so for once I think I'm kind of on the exec side. All of my favorite episodes have either the kids prominently featured, (or Della). I think we should have focused a bit more on just the main family. It's a large family as is, with plenty of room to bounce off each other, and the multigenerational layers are important to it. While Donald and Della aren't kids, skipping one of the generations most of the time, despite all the hype they gave to Della, I don't think was it.
I think Ducktales in general as a show is the kind of kitchen sink nonsense that needs at least 80 episodes to have all that stuff without being crowded. They were trying to squeeze in stuff from too many sources. They got too greedy with references and their cast. I like basically all of the characters. But when they can't even get the McDuck family tree straight, I think they needed to narrow their focus. If Disney was willing to commit to a 90+ episode series that was one thing. But this is Disney. And it ended up boiling their characters down to their bare bones, most humorous traits a lot of the time. It's like they flanderized Della before they even established her. I think its why I generally liked Quack Pack. The exaggeration felt purposeful, and the family was in a house being themselves.
But I think another part of why Della was different was the fact that the show didn't mostly didn't know how to follow up on the things they built up. So they just didn't. Like, Lena not getting mentioned for a while, or Della finding out about the estrangement off screen apparently (but iirc there's nothing actually in the show that implies she knows at all). Or Lena being adopted by Violet's family. They just didn't answer. It's weird that Webby didn't ask about her parents until the final episode despite being in a household full of mysteries (or that none of the boys asked her). It really makes the hand of the author obvious, and takes away from how alive the characters and world is when things are clearly only happening or shown if they are funny, or important to this episode plot. I think if we had narrowed the focus to the McDuck family, the writers may have at least thought about the continuity of the families lives a bit more. I think it part of what made the first season better, they had time and trust that they would follow up at that point, and the cast hadn't become bloated.
All that said they could have just made Della keep the traits they implied she had. Or not implied she had those traits at all.
