do you ever think about how Pac is so incredibly prey coded and people usually take this to mean like a rabbit or a doe. running away at the first sign of danger. freezing in headlights. giving up because there’s nothing else he can do

but what about other “prey” animals? rams and elk and fully grown deer? sure they may run. sure they might freeze in your headlights. but i’ve been taught that seeing a moose or an elk in the wild can be just as dangerous as seeing a grizzly bear. one wrong move and they will trample you. a ram can charge and gore you on their horns. if you hit a moose with your car, you will die before the moose does. a fully grown buck would make a pretty trophy, but you better hope he doesn’t decide you’re intruding on his territory.

i don’t think Pac is a rabbit. i think he saw himself as a sacrificial lamb, quiet and gentle and willing to do anything to himself as long as it helped someone else, but i think he changed in purgatory. i think he grew horns.

and i want to see him use them.

thinking about Fit and Philza

I realised that they both come from empty worlds, doomed to be alone for different reasons.

Fit is from 2B2T, the wasteland, a world where no rules are in place. Nothing lasts. Everyone is a traitor.

Phil is from a hardcore world. A blank, empty slate for him and him alone. It will stay as long as he does. He will always return to the loneliness of hardcore.

They come together, two people doomed to be alone by the worlds they live in and they keep one another company. They stay. They stay together because who else would stay by their side, if not the only other person that could understand? Who else would understand the curse that is eternal loneliness? Who else would understand the feelings that come from living in a barren world?
