I think that makes the QSMP so special is the love that surrounds it, in game and irl.

Obviously, the QSMP server is about love. From the admins making the egg event longer to islanders ready to do whatever to protect the eggs to the team being just as excited as everyone for this and always listening to everyone.

But the fact that everyone, CCs and community, gets excited about things happening is so special. Whether thats a CC that hasnt been on in a while logging on or next mods and updates or new people and languages being added. And even people who have left, like Spreen and DanTDM, are still kept alive in the story and by the islanders.

Like everyone is valued and loved and I love seeing the ingame chat and my dashboard explode whenever someone who hasnt logged on in a bit logs on.

And with the theory of japanese/ asian speaking languages joining soon and how for a while we thought (and still hoping) that we would get german speaking creators, everyone is just excited to meet new people and show them how awesome the QSMP is.

Plus the CCs on the server talking about how much it changed their lives. Etoiles talking about how it made him fall back in love with streaming, Foolish flying out of the country for the first time to go to Brazil, and just people would probably never talk to each other becoming such close friends (Cellbit and Roier, Pac and Fit, Phil and Missa, Bagi and Bad, etc)

Like gOD I LOVE THIS SERVER AND THE PEOPLE WHO WORK ON IT AND THE CCS WHO POUR THEIR HEART INTO IT AND THE COMMUNITY WHO TRANSLATES AND DRAWS AND SUBTITLES AND JUST GETTING HYPED FOR STUFF IS SO COOL

dude i fucking love how this server has communication as its premise and built into its fucking core. i fucking love that. bc it's one thing to be like 'this server is about multilingual communication and cultural exchange!!' bc that could present in any NUMBER of ways but like. with the federation and the eggs and a common shared goal they all decided WE ARE A TEAM. and like, ok,

when baghera was sus of jaiden because of the thing when pomme died and jaiden had been the reason baghera left her side for the only time that day, i wasn't even worried. i wasn't worried bc i was like "we just wait. because i know they will TALK TO EACH OTHER." and I WAS RIGHT. TWO DAYS LATER IT WAS ALL CLEARED UP AND BAGHERA WAS HELPING HER OUT WITH CUCURUCHO

and the ordo theoritas is functionally a secret organization. it would be SO EASY to gatekeep the lore, on grounds of "the federation is always watching and anyone could be a spy" and yet the ordo theoritas says that, like bad SAYS THAT, says OUT LOUD, "anyone could be a traitor" and then turns around and goes "hey person i've had a few days' worth of conversations with, here's a detailed rundown of everything we've learned about the island's mysteries, and the secret location of the ordo base". SOFIA was supposed to be secret from everyone, and for a little bit she was. but now like, the ordo theoritas is showing her to everyone. it would be SO EASY to hide things and to gatekeep things but they just. don't do it. here's the supercomputer!!!! don't forget to grab her waystone so you can come back anytime!!!

bad learns something. "i need to tell forever/cellbit/baghera". forever figures out a new way to protect the eggs, and he gets it to everyone within days. cucurucho tries to have a secret conversation and the entire server knows about it almost instantly and there are three people buried in the walls reading the subtitles and giving each other meaningful glances

i love it. i love it. miscommunication plotlines drive me up the fucking wall and the fact that i wasn't even SCARED when jaiden and baghera could easily have angled into an angsty tangled web of that and instead just MET WITH EACH OTHER AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND CLEARED THE AIR ALMOST IMMEDIATELY was so fucking breathtaking. and this is a multilingual server. this is a MULTILINGUAL SERVER. i love it. i love it so much i want to cry. it's a server for communication and people Communicate, it would have been SO EASY to slip into monolingual factions and stick to the familiar but they DIDN'T. they DIDN'T. WE GET TO HAVE A THEORY TABLE WITH SO MANY LANGUAGES SITTING AROUND IT. we get to have conspiracy walls in every language!!!! idk sometimes i forget how fucking CRAZY all this is, like the scale of what they've accomplished

It's taking me ages to write this chapter because every time I look through old VODs / notes to check something, I come across moments like this that make me want to lie down face-first on the floor:

Pac: If Cellbit puts himself in this position, it's worse for everyone, because Cellbit is smarter when it comes to coming up with strategic plans, so he is the thinking mind of the Favela Five group, so if he no longer has the mind, he’s not capable of solving this whole problem, you know? But if I put myself in this position to help Cellbit so he can get the cure... You understand? It's better if I'm the bait. Right? I can't- I can't carry things alone guys, I've already lost Mike [...] if I lose Cellbit and I alone had to carry things, I won't be able to. But I think Cellbit can manage better. I love the qFit hearing aids headcanon because him being hard of hearing is actually somewhat canon, but at the same time I fully believe that his ass would not wear hearing aids and would instead just brute force his way through life despite everything being way too quiet for him all the fuckin time

Funniest thing about the Bad and Forever meet up is not just the fact that Bad looks short compared to him but that Bad said he didn't think he was real

When q!Forever first arrived to the island the person he was most untrustworthy of was q!Bad. He thought bad looked scary, was a necromancer and part of the Federation. And q!Bad thought forever was some irresponsible, crazy shirtless guy he’d never let the eggs be around.

But after some time, past the surface level, they’ve understood one another for who they truly are and bonded over the same goals- keeping the eggs safe. their initial impressions did a complete 180 flip

Forever has said with his whole chest that he trusts Bad the most out of anyone on the island. that bad is the kindest, most reliable person he knows. meanwhile, Bad respects q!Forever so much and has opened up about his insecurities with him. he’s always very impressed by forever’s dedication to amazing ideas and inventions.

The biggest act of faith is that both of them mutually know that if any harm ever comes to them or their eggs, if one of them isn’t around or they fall in the fight, the other would be instantly dropping everything to run across the world and help. They would lay down their lives for each other’s sake in a heartbeat.

In the start of their relationship Forever wanted to trap Philza in a cage to force him to fell in love him, now Forever is trying to save Phil from a cage.

I just think that would be so cool
