Yesterday's Pride March wasn't the best experience.

The weather was homophobic HAHAHAHAHA. The crowd was much more than expected. Add to that, sobrang walang disiplina ng Pilipino. The amount of trash left in the event was unbelievable. The amount of hetero people who attended for the free concert was much more than the community that the celebration was intended for.

But at the end of the day, I'm grateful to celebrate love with the one who holds my heart. I'm grateful to witness families embracing their young children's sexual identity. I'm grateful to see how love breaks boundaries, beyond tolerance and acceptance.

SQQ fake marrying himself

Basically mushroom plan is going to go through! Great! We can blame HHP for SQQ’s death and everyone gets mad at them and LBH goes back to CQ. Except…. SQQ doesn’t really want to leave. Like yea, being the scum villain was stressful and he wants out of that body but he doesn’t just want to abandon his peak, all his students are there and he’d feel bad.

So SQQ and SQH make up an elaborate fake marriage between SQQ and SY (the mushroom body). Obviously they can’t have SQQ in two bodies at once so SQQ just drops silly hints.

“He used my teaware for alcohol! Can you believe him?” “No I can’t, shixiong”

“He brought me a bunch of things from his travels but won’t even stay around for a day, ugh.” “I sometimes wonder why you keep him around.”

And all of the peak lords are so confused but they assume that it’s like SQQ’s friend, not like, a marital partner.

Until at the trial when HHP is like “yea uh… SQQ kinda died.” And SQH dramatically ends up being like “Oh no! What will his husband think.”

And SQH makes this big deal of going out to get the ‘husband’ and saying HHP must give repetitions blah blah blah. But really he’s just bringing SY back to QC and being like “yea, just chill on your peak.”

And SY has a great time, he gets to act like a poor widow, continue being around his students (plus GYX, idk he was the one who confessed that SQQ had died or smth) and eventually the peak lords are like “well shit, we need a new peak lord and he seems to know what he’s doing… and he’s already a Shen soooo”

And SY ends up the peak lord again.

(Binghe is trying to take care of SQQ’s house during this and is so confused about this new guy. Like ‘Shizun got married?!’ To ‘okay why does he kinda look like shizun.’ To ‘WHY DOES HE ACT LIKE SHIZUN.’ He’s just going in circles in his brain lol

And I waffled a bit on whether Undyne would be a part of the cult, since it seemed like she could go either way. But honestly, remembering that in UT she was totally down for doing some child murder for the sake of the greater good, it didn't seem like that much of a stretch that she'd fall into a similar mindset in this scenario!

I can finally talk of my unhinged theories for Benedict’s season if he’s season 4. Spoilers under the cut.

LOOK, after revealing he’s bi and is literally, in this world, risking his life for also sleeping with men, I don’t think they’ll keep Sophie as she was in the book.

What cemented that for me was Eloise’s comment about the masquerade ball next season and finding the corner Benedict is in and “hiding in it.”

That look on Benedict’s face… Yeah, is he happy with this new sexual freedom? Of course. But he DOES remember Henry Granville. He remembers that it’s literally dangerous, life-threatening. He wouldn’t want Eloíse to risk that, but even more he knows he’s alone. (Or at least feels alone, he’s no idea his sister Fran is also super gay).

You can’t do that for Benedict, have these hints, and then suddenly not leave the room for a possibility of a main queer storyline.

So my theories for IF Benedict is next season, what they’ll do to Sophie’s character.

1. They’ll genderbend Sophie like they did with Michael Sterling. We’ll get a Samuel Beckett or equivalent. They’ll still meet at the ball, Samuel is still an illegitimate bastard who gets one night to not feel like a servant. They might not dance but they talk and connect and it’s wonderful, until Samuel runs and Benedict becomes obsessed with finding him. Little does he know Samuel is a servant, meets him as a servant as instead of the “be my mistress” arc from the books, Benedict asks for Samuel to be the third in a lavender marriage, similar to Henry Granville’s situation from season 1. Suddenly Benedict understands what it is to risk his very life for love, why Henry hid it. It’s a full circle for him. But Samuel doesn’t want to share, he wants all of Ben or none. Evil step-mother, instead of accusing Samuel of stealing finds out he’s gay/bi and has him arrested, making it a real life or death situation, causing Benedict to have to take action.

In the end I’m sure Violet will use her mama B powers to appeal to the Queen, and just like in QC where racism was fixed with like, one dance, homophobia shall be fixed. This is fantasy Regency, it can happen.

2. If they’re REALLY brave (and I’m kind of hoping for this storyline) they make Sophie a transwoman. She doesn’t get to be her true self often so takes the masquerade ball as an opportunity to get dressed up, pretty, etc. dances with Benedict, things proceed pretty much as the above scenario with some tweaks.

The only thing I’m unsure of is how they’d handle Sophie’s transition. My theory is they’d simplify and she’s been living life as her true self as long as possible and maybe she had more opportunity for that as someone of the servant class. But idk.

3. Most unlikely, we go full throuple on this bitch. A Sophie and Samuel and we fix fear against homosexuals AND polyamory in the last episode.

SPIRITBOX Announces Spring 2025 North American Tour With LOATHE, DYING WISH And GEL

Two-time Grammy-nominated progressive metal band SPIRITBOX has announced the "Tsunami Sea" North American tour. Kicking off April 3 in Dallas, Texas, produced by Live Nation, the 24-date tour will hit cities across the U.S. and Canada with LOATHE, DYING WISH and GEL as support.

Tickets will first be available through a Citi presale starting today, December 3. The official artist presale begins on December 4 and will include a special Spiritboxoffice pop-up event in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where fans can purchase tickets and meet the band. Additional presales will follow on December 5, ahead of the general onsale and Citi Cardmember Preferred Tickets, beginning Friday, December 6 at 10 a.m. local time on Spiritbox.com.

The tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can't attend, they'll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid. To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois, and New York where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. We walked for 3hrs from Timog to QC circle. Pero sobrang worth it. Seeing people supporting and greeting each other, ang saya. Pero what really captured my heart ay yung mga kids and mga mommies and daddies saying “Happy Pride!” “Mabuhay ang mga bading!”. Kids before, kapag may nakitang bading sa daan sila pa yung nang aasar na “Ayyyy baklaaaaa” tapos pag tatawanan. Pero now, they’re knowledgeable. Same goes with parents na nag susupport, na naging open minded to accept.

Oo, may mga homo, madami actually, pero mga tao e tinatawanan nalang sila. What really disappoints me is that many attendees attend for BINI. No hate to BINI, I love theeeem. Pero yung fans talaga nilamon na ng sistema. 🤧

To summarize, yesterday was sooo fun and tiring and worth it! 🌈

This is a sketch that I did during the Q&A and talks on the first day of the #UskQuezonCity Tagpuan Sa QC event, with the Executive Board of Urban Sketchers (Global). We held the first session at the social hall at the back of the Quezon Heritage House in QC Memorial Circle. Sat-16-Mar-2024

Hi, thanks for answering my ask.

I have been practicing for 3-4 years and mostly worked with planetary forces and the angels associated with them. This was my first Evocation. I don't have any previous experiences with any kind of spirits. In fact, there have been instances when people around me felt some kind of presence (while exploring haunted houses or graveyards) but I have always been completely oblivious.

I did not follow the proper Goetic method. I fasted for 6-7 hours, bathed, and did the purifying breathing exercise in Jason Miller's Consorting with spirits. I gave offerings to Jove and Hermes on my altar and prayed for the Evocation to be successful. I drew 3 circles and set up offerings (incense, candle, water, and caramel icecream) for Bune. I started with an orison from The Book of Oberon, consecrated the dagger and wand, drew the circle using the script from Consorting with Spirits and called the four kings. Then I read a prayer of receptivity, drew the sigils of Bune while chanting Bune's enn. I read the conjuration script from The Sorcerer's Secrets thrice while walking around the circle and then read the two conjurations from Modern Magick. I then welcomed the spirit, tried to communicate with a scrying mirror (I am really bad at any kind of divination) and after a while told them what i wanted. I bid them farewell, closed the circle, thanked the 4 kings, and ended with the QC. I didn't feel anything the entire time, the only proof that something happened is that my chronic backpain got better immediately which I've been struggling with since January.

Fyi: I never said I command thee. I said I ask thee instead. And I smoked a blunt before the ritual to alter my mind.

It is not the worst method, there are things I wouldn’t do or do differently, but our practices are all going to look different. My advice is always to follow the original method as closely as possible and you are comfortable with first prior to making changes. I also don’t command spirits unless I need to- and that has been a rarity.

I would say that results matter more than psychic theatre- you have gotten what you wanted so it counts as a result. You didn’t experience bells and whistles, but that doesn’t matter. You may just need to develop your psychic senses which is work you can dedicate a small amount of time to each day. I’ve heard Psychic Witch by Mat Auryn is good in this regard. I myself utilised Christopher Penczak’s Inner Temple of Witchcraft back in the day and things really opened up for me when I began astral work as part of the AA system. Hermes should be able to help in this regard too.

The one thing I would avoid is the use of Enns. Perhaps I am a little too avoidant of the demonaltry crowd because their work is normally ridiculous and they half of them are neonazis. But I just feel they simplify things too much and aren’t really adding anything useful. A blunt statement, but it is what I believe to be true.

If you are working with the Graeco-Roman deities already you may want to look into working with Hekate as an intermediary force for the spirits. I believe Jason has a section on this in consorting with spirits and the late Jake Stratton-Kent also wrote about this.

But as I say it sounds like the spirit turned up and has helped already. So it has been successful. Perhaps try working on getting those senses a little more open and an ability to tune in to the planes beyond the mundane.

All of these award shows are really making it hard to take them seriously this year. I love Adjoa but why out of everyone in Queen Charlotte was she nominated for a People's Choice Award? Or Billie Eilish over Dominique Fishback in Swarm. I'd love for Jonny to be recognized for his work but there's so much fuckery going on it's just reminding me none of it matters

so he has kind of chosen to enter as an underdog of sorts and is building up his network there for future projects

and ofc for someone relatively unknown in the us he has been extremely well received by critics and audience alike in that space

so yeah i hope he gets his flowers in the near future with other projects

Haven't seen Malcolm's list yet (though I plan to) but as someone who watched QC I feel like even season 2 of Bridgerton failed when it came to better research and SCREENTIME for the Sharmas. QC has some really blatant issues that I wish they hadn't put in (or explored in the way they did re: Danbury's marriage), and the real-but-actually-fake monarchy backdrop further adds to the confusion, but its one "strength" of sorts was that it was tighter than Bton season 2 in terms of side plots. The side plots make even less sense to me now because you could not pay me to explain to someone what the point of Benedict's art school thing was, or the poorly done Eloise one, or the Featheringtons. I feel like this can even be traced back to season 1 because aside from all the blatant problems, Simon felt like he was sidelined in the last episode and I don't know how to explain why, other than to give significance to Daphne 'understanding' him? I ended up watching QC with a friend through venues that are comfortable to me. And I’ll be honest, I thought it was kind of complete dog shit and I don’t really get the praise and passes it’s been receiving. Obviously everyone is free to like and dislike what they wish. But….

—the pure manner in which Lady D’s husband is portrayed. Darkest skinned person on the show, and much like Simon’s father, he’s not only a horrible person but depicted as grotesque. She doesn’t want to huge his “giant babies”, they give the actor (who’s a handsome guy irl) fake teeth and weird makeup to make his skin look ashy. He flaps around desperate for white approval when he’s not raping his wife (the darkest skinned woman in the show) in a manner the show plays as comical. Then he dies trying to rape her again. Wow.

—both black female leads end up essentially alone and they hate their kids and are depicted as cold mothers. But hey, they’re strong and dignified TM so who needs love? Not them! I know everyone was laughing at the way Charlotte skimmed over her son sobbing about his dead daughter but it seemed to me a stark contrast to sweet mom Violet who’s just so horny right after her son goes on his honeymoon

—they did an entire episode going over things we’d already seen, but this time with FARMER GEORGE TM torture porn. I found the depiction of his mental illness both laughably under-researched (some theories re: George in real life surround him suffering from bipolar disorder… speaking as someone who has that, actually, I can tell you the show’s version doesn’t have any kind of bipolar disorder I recognize; his symptoms are basically what the plot requires).

—homeboy was barely present in the back half; romance show? What romance show?

—the much promoted gay love story ends in one party alone and the other either gone or dead for no reason

—why did anyone love each other? They would speak a few random sentences and then trope trope trope it’s fine you know what we need? More Danbury rape

I’ll be real, I didn’t see a tighter show. A tighter show would’ve cut the entire present day storyline, which did nothing, and everything to do with Violet (but I guess we needed a white woman to bemoan her horniness to Lady Danbury who’s Beyond That Now).

I don’t have a really great opinion of either of the previous seasons, but they for sure had better leading men (I am begging people to stop comparing Farmer George to Nick Hoult) and at least they weren’t incredibly depressing and quite as rape heavy. Season 1 did have a pivotal rape, but it didn’t have like…. Five comical rapes.

Mr. Malcolm’s List and Tom Jones walk circles around this franchise. Fuck, so did season 1 of Sanditon.
