On our fifth day in Puerto Galera we tried to go to the Tukura Water Falls where you get taken to the falls in a cart pulled by a Carabao. Unfortunately rain and high water levels meant the Cart Association (the sign said “Cart Ass”, which made us giggle) wasn’t operating. Already off to a terrible start (artistically) for 2025 :,) I tried everything that used to help me get out of art block like looking through my old art but I saw nothing but completed pieces and somehow tricked myself into thinking all I made were “completed” drawings because that was all I saw.

So, to combat this, I've decided to document every single failed piece leading up to this silly doodle, along with my reasonings behind not finishing them!

Daily sketches: werewolf date! This one started as blobs of random brush strokes from me testing a tablet pressure sensitivity curve for this particular sets of brushes, and they eventually evolved into this.

I like these "dry and wet" brushes! I have always felt they are a little too unpredictable to use on commissioned work but i like the loosy goosy feel they have!

97-2937 - Mall Christmas decor

This sketch was done at the local mall (Market Market!), when we stopped for a light lunch (at Beiruti Bites) while we were doing a massive Christmas shop for all the ingredients we needed to cook our Christmas dinner. I added all the sparkly lights with a Posca pen. Mon-23-Dec-2024
