Punk England:

- He's in a BAND, he is. They call it "The Zippers" for no particular reason other than their lad Trent who formed the band uses zippers and ziplock bags for damn near everything. It shouldn't be surprising at all that he's (One of the two) guitarist(s), either.

- He makes propaganda stickers to stick around London.

- HAS slept in a trailerpark for niche band concerts that nobody knows about, and definitely bought their amateur trashy merch and wears it with pride.

- Does not care for Thatcher (Understatement of the century)

- He and the lads (The Zippers) got terrible, homemade tattoos back in the late 60's and I like to imagine they do reunions. They all collectively believe Arthur's an immortal vampire and accepts this willingly as fact until he tells them otherwise one day when they ask him what blood tastes like. I'm sure he touches the tattoo up with the lads to keep it authentic, because he's going to outlive them all and everybody knows he won't be okay when nobody's left.

Pirate England:

- I don't think generally that when Arthur had his pirate era that he used critical thinking that much. I think he just sort of spent the entire time being under an influence of something.

- He fought with swords like everyone else, but just like that one dude in ww2, I am TELLING YOU he used his longbow as well.

They're in a battle with a contesting ship and he picks them off right alongside the canonfire.

- He got his ears pierced to carry his gold safely, but they got infected and wandered/Got rejected, until they literally just fell off, so now he has funky ridges on his ears from that.

- I think of him as a Jack Sparrow, but I also think of him as a Stede Bonnet - Because he and his crew gathering for stories at nighttime like children huddling up to their mom to hear a bedtime story is so funny and endearing to me. Aside from the stories being of his terrible childhood and early adolescene, his crew definitely likes listening to the fae parts and Arthur scares them from getting too close to the railings by telling them of scary spooky sea ghosts.

at the risk of my words being taken horribly out of context, i really really wish there were more people in the hetalia fandom who would let arthur be good. like a genuinely good man with good intentions and a good heart. i feel like the way the fandom used to treat ivan is the way we treat arthur now, as being the sort of bigot used to inflict trauma on the nations you’re treating as your protagonists. i understand the viewpoint of historical accuracy but it seems so disingenuous when alfred, matt, yao, ivan, etc are allowed such grace. but besides that i just love him and it’s so hard to find people who feel the same way. i want him to be as soft as the rest, to have been able to heal. i want him to be accepting not only because there’s been so much pushback in his own life, but because inclusivity is punk. i want him to support and compliment his loved ones simply because he loves them. i want him to take the struggles of his own life and use those experiences to make the lives of those who come after him easier. i want him to not shy away when he’s kissed. i want him to think of himself as beautiful and talented in the way he thinks francis and feli and kiku are. i need him to be a sweetheart i guess.

Plot A: Prince Alfred sneaks out and winds up at his first concert, where he instantly becomes fascinated with the singer and guitarist, Arthur. He falls into a pattern of sneaking out to catch every concert, and whenever he sees the painted spade on Arthur's cheek he can't help imagining what it would be like if it were real.

One day, Arthur's shirt is grabbed a little too hard by an overexcited fan, causing it to rip and expose a true Mark of Spades. Alfred lets out an excited shriek and immediately starts making plans to have Arthur brought to the palace.

Plot B: The newlywed royals hold a celebration and hire a musician who ends up dropping out at the last minute. Arthur offers to fill in and Alfred discovers talents he never knew Arthur had.

Suddenly, his husband is even more attractive than before, and Alfred can't wait to ask him all about when and where he learnt to play and sing like that.
