☾a cozy evening with sami turns into a playful, flour-covered baking escapade that ends in laughter and sweet affection.☽

you’ve always loved the way he sneaks into a room, quiet and unassuming, yet somehow managing to light it up the moment his presence is felt. sami has that rare ability to make everything around him softer, like a song fading into an acoustic outro. tonight, he’s proving it again.

he’s in the kitchen, humming under his breath, flipping through an old recipe book he found in the corner of your shelf. “how long have you had this?” he asks, his voice warm and low, like he’s sharing some inside joke with you.

“forever,” you reply, watching him from your seat on the counter. you’re not sure why it feels so cozy, seeing him in your kitchen, barefoot and loose-limbed, like he’s belonged here all along.

he grins, glancing up at you with mischief dancing in his dark eyes. “let’s make something,” he says. “something ridiculous and messy.”

“messy?” you laugh. “you’re going to regret saying that when we’re cleaning flour off the ceiling.”

“worth it,” he declares, already pulling ingredients from the cabinets without much regard for what he’s grabbing. you notice the way his bracelets jangle with every movement, the little details about him that never fail to make your heart flutter.

soon, the two of you are elbow-deep in some improvised batter that you’re pretty sure is more creativity than culinary skill. sami insists on tossing in a handful of chocolate chips despite your protests that it’ll throw off the balance.

“balance is overrated,” he says, and you roll your eyes, but you’re smiling.

it’s not long before you’re both laughing uncontrollably—mostly because you managed to accidentally fling a spoonful of batter onto sami’s cheek.

“oh, you’re asking for it now,” he says, grabbing a handful of flour.

“don’t you dare!” you warn, but it’s too late. the mini food fight erupts, and by the end of it, you’re both covered in flour and chocolate smears, standing in the middle of a thoroughly chaotic kitchen.

he’s still laughing when he pulls you into his arms, flour and all. “see? totally worth it,” he murmurs, pressing a kiss to the tip of your nose.

you lean into him, your face pressed against the crook of his neck, his scent a mix of cologne and the faintest hint of chocolate. “you’re a menace,” you whisper, but the words are soft, full of affection.

he chuckles, swaying with you slightly. “and you love it.”

and, well, you can’t argue with that.
