more like "sleeping on my tummy with one leg bent up like" someone who's gonna have back problems for sleeping in a bad posture
I literally have to sleep face down or I will completely stop breathing. having one leg propped up keeps me at enough of an angle that I don't fuck up my neck and my tits don't cause me to lose circulation in my arms from having too much pressure on them
anyway my point is that you don't know other people's body situations and why we do the things we do
the fact that I sleep naked in a position that leaves my cunt fully exposed is just a bonus
#I don't appreciate your tone btw anon it's very judgemental#like yeah of course it's not the best position for my back#but I like breathing so it is what it fuckin is#and before you people start trying to give me fuckin medical advice like you do every time I mention a problem#this is exactly what I was advised to do by both my pulmonologist and neurologist AND was cleared by my physical therapist#bitts answers

I need to stop watching medical dramas. It hurts to see doctors trying everything they can to figure out someone's symptoms when that really doesn't happen in the real world.
#like. shoutout to my primary who has actually done research into treatments for me#but hes a PA with limited time and resources (we are in a fairly rural area and my clinic serves a ton of people)#so like. referals go nowhere and my symptoms are still mostly unexplained#especially when like. doctors dont expect to fix you?#idk when i saw my neurologist for the first time i tried to give him an overview of all my symptoms and he said#verbatim#'well you cant expect me to fix all that'#and i was. idk. shocked#i wasnt even trying to get him to 'fix' me i was just trying to give some context and history#yknow. the thing necessary to diagnose people#but instead he misdiagnosed me and put me on meds that didnt work and suggested experimental brain surgery for a disorder i dont have#same thing happened with my pulmonologist. i explained my symptoms (because HE ASKED ME TO) and then refused to take them into account#its not every doctor. but its every specialist ive seen. every single one#and its frustrating#like. i just dont have answers or adequate treatment or anything#and my health keeps getting worse#idk man#disability sucks

Hey, ok? You're probably not ok if you got bad news but are you getting by? Do you want to vent or want us to ask about it? Sometimes that helps I think
One step at a time, one day at a time, ok?
❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
This is so sweet, thank you.
I am indeed getting by.
I usually try not to share too many personal details online, but since I’m struggling a bit with this, I figure yelling into the void (tumblr lol) might help.
Below is some discussion of medical issues (absolutely no obligation for anyone to continue reading, especially if the topic makes you uncomfortable. Please don’t forget to take care of yourselves too <3)
Yesterday, I visited a new specialist who did some testing due to a recent autoimmune diagnosis of mine. I have been dismissed a lot in the past, so I usually go in expecting test results to be normal. This time, I was wrong.
Apparently, I have moderate pulmonary obstruction, that I’ve just…never noticed?? I guess between disabling POTS and the tendency to convince myself symptoms are all in my head, shortness of breath must not have concerned me.
(Yeah, that’s about as concerning as it sounds)
So, yay, more testing.
Best case scenario, I have asthma (never thought I’d be hoping to have asthma lol). Worst case scenario, there is disease activity in my lungs, courtesy of my wonderful immune system. There is also a possibility of vocal cord dysfunction, but I don’t know much about that.
I already live with a plethora of health issues, but this one just caught me off guard. It hits harder when you’re not expecting it, and quite frankly it’s a little scary.
Whatever I find out, though, I will continue to get by. Not my first rodeo, and definitely not my last.
Either way, at least I always have Hero and Villain to project onto if I get overwhelmed LMAO.
I think this helped, thank you anon for checking in on me.
#not writing#personal vent#vent#seriously this was so sweet#one day at a time#🩷#copd makes me sound old#someone tell the pulmonologist to take it back#personally#I think breathing is overrated anyway#don’t worry#I’ll be ok#I promise

Just finished my Pulmonologist Apt. Lung function is normal but she agrees we might not have caught an episode if it’s transient. Unfortunately, she can’t prescribe me anything until it shows up on their tests. She’s sending me a one-night sleep apnea test bc that’s all they have to test for things at home and said I can stop by whenever I’m feeling symptomatic and they can try to test it spontaneously.
She also brought up abdominal aortic issues that can be caused by EDS which was a surprising coincidence considering I just went to urgent care for new symptoms that would correlate with that. Urgent Care thought it was related to my gastroparesis so I scheduled a GI apt but the Pulmonologist thinks I should talk to my Cardiologist about it.
She believes me. Even if my oxymeter isn’t accurate there’s no reason it should be completely normal for my husband & crazy for me. I just gotta catch it on their tests before they can do anything about it.
Mandana was better in some ways and worse in others. I seem to be narrowing it down to a particular situation that gets her worked up. She’s completely fine in the waiting room even when I walk away (I did training there before and after the apt). In the exam room she wants to be all up in my lap which is unacceptable. She needs to just lay down & chill while they examine me. It seems like maybe she’s carrying over some of the stress from previous vet appointments. She’s completely fine at her usual vet but she acts like she does when we took her to the dentist or the university vet & had to leave her for emergencies. I’m not sure how to train for that besides just generalizing her mat/settle and going to a lot of boring appointments. It might work out for the best anyways. If the sleep apnea test doesn’t catch anything I could go to the hospital regularly for training and if I start flaring up they could test me.
Focused & alerting in the waiting room. She alerted in the exam room too but she was way too worked up. Advice welcome 😕
Besides all that, I asked if it could be Lupus related and she said no because we would see way more damage before it started affecting my blood oxygen levels. The only thing that showed up was my chest X-ray showed mild hyperinflation which was weird but she didn’t know what it could mean in relation to everything else and didn’t think it was related to my symptoms. I wanted to ask about the Lupus because my Rheumatology apt is next week and I’m trying to stay on top of all the questions I need to be asking each specialist.

I'm really so fucking anxious when I don't have a job, even if I have billions on my bank account, I want to cry...
#because no job = no insurance#even if you're a medical student - u can't registrate to any government hospital and have a family doctor until you get a job#and without a family doctor you basically cannot have a free medical check-up#and private clinics cost like crazy#one simple pulmonologist consultation without any additional tests -> 70 euros#the thing is that most students here have parents here which somehow lets them attend the doctors for free.. but me? nope :)))#LET ME IN LET ME INNNMMM#and you need to work for at least 6 months in order to EVEN GET A STATUS OF “UNEMPLOYED” AAAA#and no one gives a shit if you also study#seriously you better never be ill in Europe#there is no fucking way for you to SIMPLY survive without corruption and connections#If you wanna be ill - go to Ukraine
