because Cally O'Pia AU is just constantly rolling around in my head lately I did this little concept sketch of the end of RoR in this AU! Instead of the boss fight and memory deep-dive, it's essentially Raz getting let in on the "Loboto is actually Agent O'Pia" thing by Oleander, projecting into his mind, and getting some insight on what's actually going on from the Real Deal Cal while he's using mental projection to have the Loboto persona put up a front for his employer.
[Image ID: A black-and-white drawing based on Puzz's "Cally O'Pia" Psychonauts AU. Cal (wearing a Psychonauts janitorial uniform, wrap skirt, two fanny packs, ribbed socks with sandals, several necklaces and bracelets, shaggy shoulder-length hair, and round glasses like his child self) and Raz are crouched behind a stack of papers, with Cal covering Raz's mouth. Both are looking up nervously at a giant mental projection-style Loboto, sloppily scribbled onto a piece of paper. End ID.]

Day 5: Hostage / Kidnapping / Held at gunpoint
Characters: Truman Zanotto, Caligosto Loboto
Warnings: None
Summary: It's not the first time Truman's been in a dangerous situation, but it might be the first time he's unable to get himself out of one.
---~~~---
The first thing he became aware of was a foggy headache--the kind that made one feel like they should just go back to bed, or else wake up with a strong cup of coffee. The former sounded more appealing right now, so he tried to turn over to make himself more comfortable.
Only to find that he couldn't.
He also definitely wasn't under any sort of covers, nor was he lying on a bed.
Opening his eyes with a gasp, Truman's gaze darted around, trying to determine his surroundings. Before he could even figure out where he was, he tried to reach out a telepathic message to Lili to see if she was all right. Their mental connection wasn't always perfect, however--Lili often deliberately shut it off--and he half-expected the attempt to fail.
He did not, however, expect the sudden spike of nausea and dizziness at attempting telepathy, and groaned.
"Well, now! The patient awakes!" came an unfamiliar, ashy voice from directly behind his head. "You're a bit early for that..."
Truman craned his neck back to try to get a look at his abductor. His vision was fuzzy, and annoyingly there were two very bright lights directly behind him, one red and one green. It wasn't until those lights suddenly moved to shine directly over him that he realized that they weren't just lights--they were directly attached to the face of a person. Over his eyes, specifically--or, perhaps, they were his eyes. The man had blue skin, multiple facial scars, and an impossibly wide smile filled with yellow teeth. A bright green shower cap with floral patterns adorned his head.
While Truman knew he needed to be gathering any information he could possibly get out of this place, his immediate reaction was to recoil in horror. "Get away from me!"
"Pbbbt!" The man stuck his tongue out, inadvertently spitting in Truman's face. "That's no way to talk to your dentist!"
"Dentist?" He struggled to think past the fog in his head. Why did dentist sound familiar? And the silhouette of this man--he swore he'd seen it before, perhaps somewhere in the Psychonauts' files... Regardless, he shook his head, casting a look around the room. Focus, focus--he'd gotten out of worse before. He just had to gather some information. "Where am I?"
"My office!" the dentist said, stepping back and gesturing to the space around them with his prosthetic arm. "Amazing, isn't it?"
Truman blinked a few times to clear his vision, finally taking in the sight of the space around them--an observatory of some sort with a domed ceiling overhead, a large metal sphere suspended from the ceiling, and multiple people wearing hazmat suits wandering around. There was also something oddly familiar about this place, but he couldn't put a finger on it. "Strange place for an office," he remarked.
"Well, it's not like my old office, but it's a lot more spacious." The man twirled, tipping his head back as though to regard the space. He wore a long brown apron with a complicated bunch of straps in the back, and a long white coat beneath that. "Gets the job done, and has a lot of fascinating things to study out here!"
Something clicked in Truman's mind, and he leaned forward as much as his bonds allowed, not needing to feign his interest. "What sort of things do you study?"
The dentist hummed, turning his back. "Oh, some fascinating marine life, and some very fancy rocks..."
Right--psitanium or psilirium. Probably the latter, given the way it was blocking his powers and making him feel dizzy. Marine life, though... He ran through a few things in his mind, mentally going over a list of locations.
Tap-tap-tap, tap-tap-tap.
Jolting out of his thoughts, Truman found his kidnapper suddenly leaning over him again, tapping his fingers--no, claws--against the arm of his chair.
"You're awfully quiet for someone who was, hm, taken far away from his home," the dentist remarked, his smile twitching and looking just a touch angrier.
Truman gave a nervous laugh. "Ah, I'm just thinking! Someone brilliant enough to be able to kidnap the Grand Head of the Psychonauts must be a talented individual! And you look quite... familiar."
A metallic shriek made him grit his teeth as the dentist's claws seized the arm of the chair, digging into it. "Come again?"
"I know you--you've got a file a mile long in our records," Truman said. "You've worked for some pretty famous clients, too, haven't you? The Noodler was one, as I recall. I had to deal with that mess you helped create. Quite the piece of work you managed to do."
"Yes, that one was an interesting client," the man--Dr. Loboto, Truman remembered the name--said, turning away for a moment. But his eyes, which were on telescoping loupes, suddenly snapped back over to Truman. "You're not going to get anything out of me about my current client, though!" He leaned in close enough for Truman to smell the peppermint toothpaste in his breath. "Doctor-patient confidentiality."
"Ah, yes, very important!" Truman let out another forced laugh. "Good... good to see you've a strong moral code."
"Morals?" Loboto echoed, then threw his head back with a wild laugh. "I haven't seen him in a while!" Idly he picked up a pair of pliers off of a nearby tray, turning the tool in his hand. "He had six decayed teeth in his upper jaw, last I saw him! Well, not anymore..."
"That's... fascinating." Shutting his eyes, Truman tried to remember something from this man's file. He always worked with someone, but had he done any kidnapping on his own? He couldn't recall it... But who could have gotten to him? Especially with all the security measures, both in the Motherlobe and in his own home! It would've had to be someone he knew. A traitor? A mole? But who?
Oleander showed problems sometimes, and Sasha had his issues, but neither of them, surely. But... what about...
He opened his eyes to find Loboto staring directly down into his face again. "Say," he said, before Loboto could speak, "you seem like you'd get along with someone I know. Have you ever heard of a Nick J--"
Loboto's hand grasped the front of his robes, yanking him upward, and his claws were at his throat.
Both arms were shaking. Sweat trickled down the side of the dentist's neck.
Loboto spoke through gritted teeth. "I think," he said, "we're done here."
His smile twisted into the angriest grin Truman had ever seen in his life.
"Goodbye!"
He dropped Truman heavily back onto the chair, and in one swift motion, covered his nose and mouth with a cloth. Truman fought as long as he could, but the last thing he saw before descending into unconsciousness was the permanent grin of the dentist shifting into something resembling a frown.

Right so I'm stuck on the Psychonauts train and I need to screech this into the black hole that is Tumblr
Spoilers (at least vague ones) for Psychonauts 2, so it goes under a cut. Warning for talking around trauma.
After the events of Psychonauts 2, Hollis Forsythe mandates therapy for everyone under her command who was involved with the events of the game (and especially the newly-minted junior agents). She also recommends therapy for the non-Psychonaut Aquatos, offering them their choice of therapist(s) at no cost to the family.
This goes over fairly neutrally for the kids who have been in the Intern program for a while - par for the course, pretty bog-standard when there's a major event. And, being that this is the Psychonauts, major events are pretty common.
It goes over like a lead balloon for Razputin, who has never had any kind of psychotherapy before and does not like people being in his head (literally or figuratively) any more than is necessary. Even with Sasha or Milla, he's EXTREMELY reticent to let them into his head. Or to really talk about what all happened. Like, yes everything happened and he did his best, that's all anyone can ask of him right?
Except, no, that's not the question, Raz. Raz is canonically 10 years old (unrelated fun fact, I thought he was 12 until recently), and not only ran away from home, not only had to help rescue his heroes from a man driven mad by his personal demons, BUT he was also subjected to psilirium poisoning, had to rescue his heroes and his girlfriend? (he's still unsure if she's actually his girlfriend, to my knowledge) from the person who kidnapped the Grand Head of the Psychonauts, AND THEN we have. Everything. from Psychonauts 2.
Lemme see here, we have 1)relentless bullying from the interns for the first while, 2)the whole thing in Hollis' mind, 3) the process of trying to find the mole (including both himself and the only friend he really has in the Motherlobe being suspect), 4) sorting through the various traumas and tribulations of the members of the Psychic 6, 5) confronting and dealing with literal generational trauma inflicted on his family by one of his greatest heroes.
So, yes, Raz needs therapy. Raz does not acknowledge that he needs therapy.
Imagine it's his Nona who breaks through to him, by sitting down with him and asking him to talk about everything. (Imagine Lucretia, between the founding of the Psychonauts and the events in Grulovia, pursuing a degree in psychology). Imagine Hollis listening in (with Lucy's permission), and being horrified about what all this kid, this literal ten-year-old has gone through in under a week. And Raz is nonchalant about it, at first. Plays at being blase about the literal brain-powered battle tanks, the terror-inducing experience of thinking he was being left behind by the others at the end of RoR, the isolation and humiliation he felt during his internship.
And then Lucretia says something along the lines of "I would've been scared, trying to go through all of that."
And Raz... pauses.
And in the smallest voice ever, says "yeah, it was... um. it was really, really scary."
And that's the breakthrough moment. He doesn't cry, not unless it's in the private safety of his family's camp, but he does just. wilt. Lucy talks with him about everything, and talks about how Hollis has pulled some strings and has offered therapy to the entire Aquato family. To her.
And to him.
Look I have thoughts™ about my faves getting therapy and taking care of their mental and physical health.
(Yes, this specific instance involves Raz getting a PTSD service dog because there is no way Raz is not dealing with trauma.) (also imagine best boy with a best boy/girl of his own, either a newfie or a great pyranese - dog is literally big enough for him to ride on and is perfectly willing to leverage its superior size to make him sit still and do his therapy exercises)

How do you think what happens in Psychonauts will affect Raz when he's older? I've been thinking about this a lot lately cause Raz goes through a LoT in like a week!!
Also I'm in the middle of the Maligula battle in my first playthrough, so could you try to avoid spoilers/put a warning please? I think I'm at the end of the game so idk if I have many spoilers left, but I figured I'd mention it! Tysm, I love your pfp! :))
Thanks, it’s from the Helmut’s Hail Mary memory vault. I like yours too! As for your question, Raz is 100% going to develop a savior complex. Probably already has.
In all of the games, Raz is the one saving the day when there are agents/grown adults doing nothing. Raz saved the camper's brains when Sasha and Milla failed and had to fight Oleander by himself. In RoR, Raz saves everyone again when they succumb to psylilrum exposure and has to go into Loboto's mind by himself. The same things happens in Psychonauts 2(with the exception of Hollis and Gristol's minds), Raz is running around and helping people with their problems/doing favors. He’s only been an official Psychonaut for a day and he already needs a vacation.

[ image one: a drawing of morceau oleander from psychonauts as a mermaid, with a very pretty, shiny blue tail. he is topless and laying on a rock in an ocean, though the background shows that mermorry is in caligosto loboto's mental bathtub. his arms are crossed in front of him, and he's smiling serenely, looking up at the sky.
image two: a doodle of morceau oleander sitting at a desk, positively beaming about a drawing he's finished of him as a merman. there are little flowers and sparkles floating around his head, and he is sending out psychic waves of the first image. loboto is beside him, arms crossed and brow furrowed in frustration, saying, "Why am i seeing you as a merman in my brain? Stop that." ]
yahoo mermay mermorry. oleander is so bad at keeping his thoughts in his head.

“This place is great! I feel like I can really keep my mind together here. Well, for the most part, I remember everyone’s names at least. This is Jeff and Maddie! We’re helping the Doctor work on his BIG secret projects. Very hush hush.... It’s gonna be so cool!”
PJ hanging out with some Fish Henchmen in the Psychonauts’ abandoned underwater base in the Rhombus of Ruin. She helps out with stuff underwater, hence the flippers, per the Doctor’s orders. Her main work consists of the construction of the Doctor’s ‘pet project’, something that requires a ton of scrap metal... (This takes place farther ahead in PJ’s timeline, set either right before Psychonauts or after Psychonauts but before Rhombus of Ruin.)

In this edition of Noticing Things in Psychonauts Cutscenes, look how DANG disappointed Sasha looks when he finds out Raz was inside Truman’s head. From his perspective, Raz was just doing exactly what he promised not to do again- messing around in someone’s head without permission, and a high-ranking Psychonauts official, no less. (There’s a good reason for it, of course, but none of them know that yet.)
This is some of the most physical emoting we ever see from Sasha. His whole posture changes; his facial expressions are pretty dramatic, by his standards. He composes himself after this, but the emotion still must have been very strong to break through his usual stoicism.
I think it underscores how much he really does care about and believe in Raz. He wants him to succeed, and seeing him make the same bad choice again right away is crushing. Like kid we JUST talked about this, what are you doing?

yeah that part is a bit headscratchy to me when I thought back to it. Seeing through the brain(much less one that’s under lock and radius of a large area of psilirium) seems very challenging after all
The way I could see it is with how Raz does his clairvoyance by using an item in the first game, there is a certain fixed point that he could reach and look out to. Since Truman’s brain was sealed in a box which probably limits his connection to the outside world, the closest Raz could get to would be his body. On a similar vein, another theory of mine I had before is that Raz was seeing through the thinkerprint on his beard since I think that’d have some connection to Truman's psychic signature.
So... If in ROR Truman was actually Gristol in Truman's body... Why when Raz used clairvoyance on Truman's music box did it link him to Gristol? Shouldn't it have connected to the brain in the box or not worked at all?
Does clairvoyance work by connecting to the body and not the mind?

finished one of my finals so i decided to celebrate by sketching up some concepts for cal's mind in the Cally O'Pia au!! putting image IDs/descriptions and general elaborating on my Vision(TM) under da cut cause i can tell even before typing it's gonna get long (PSYCHONAUTS 2 & RHOMBUS OF RUIN SPOILERS IN THERE BTW YOU ARE WARNED)
Welcome. Let Me Describe You My Vision. my goal with this was essentially "how do I hit the major plot beats that are necessary for Psychonauts 2's plot to Happen while still incorporating Cal's very different backstory in this AU"; some of this involves functionally combining RoR's and Psychonauts 2's versions of Loboto's mental world. maybe someday I'll go into how I envision RoR changing in this au but whatever right now we're on The Opening of Psychonauts 2 As Played Out In This Verse
first things first Sasha's Psychic Projection has to be completely different given 1) Cally already works for the Psychonauts 2) he knows the other agents very well already and 3) he is a Known Psychic rather than a random feral dentist Morry picked up off the streets. so rather than the "Psychonauts office where Loboto gets employee of the year and has to get his vacation form signed off on" construction, Sasha instead constructs a scenario where Cally is still under his "Dr. Loboto" guise, has captured the other agents, and has to deliver Raz to his boss. unfortunately for Sasha, Cally catches on pretty much right away, plays along for all of five minutes, then drops everyone in a little box to keep them contained while he makes sure all the info on his boss is under mental lock and key. Unlike the ones you see above, Raz's box is kind of plain and nondescript because, unlike all the other agents he's known for years, all Cally knows about Raz is "psychic kid who keeps getting himself in some shit".
because this is, you know, The First Level of the Imaginary Game, this still has to be constructed as a tutorial, too, which you will see as I get into each of these little boxes. Raz's box teaches you to use your standard psi-punches, because it is Hastily and Weakly Put Together, so Raz can literally bust his way out and scamper around looking for the others. Cally, in turn, keeps trying to re-trap Raz as he investigates the next boxes, but with the help of the other agents Raz keeps finding ways to break out and proceed further (though the others remain stuck).
The first one Raz finds is Oleander's, which you can see in the top left of the first pic - the primary theming is Loboto's Lab from the first game and drawing on their time working together there, but the walls are also covered in pictures of Oleander and/or the two of them together, that have all been defaced or scribbled over in some form (since at the time of the game they're very much on the Off side of their On-Off relationship). To get out of the box Oleander re-teaches Raz telekinesis, which allows him to open up the hatch on the upper right of the wall, and then gives Raz a boost out - Coach, of course, isn't able to reach it himself before Cally slams the door behind Raz. You also may notice a hidden room behind one of the pictures - you can only get in there by returning later in the game when you have pyrokinesis, and once you do, you'll find a memory vault about his and Morry's relationship (which i've had concepted out for like a year and WILL draw eventually) and a bunch of photos that haven't been defaced (representing how Cally still has much stronger feelings for Oleander than he's admitted to, and is still carrying a torch even through the surface level of their breakup).
Next comes Sasha (top right picture in the first image), whose room is kind of a combo of his and Otto's labs, with a bunch of the props drawn from both locations - books, papers, inventions, computers, The Lamp, you know how it be. The floor also has a big glass swirl that gives you a peek at Otto's brain storage, which has a bunch of brains tumble by as you're in there (plus the occasional Faberge egg, for Foreshadowing - for even more of that, there's also the brain case on top of Sasha's exam table in the corner). The escape here escalates to a two-step process - Sasha re-teaches Raz psi-blast, the two of you combine forces to pry the door open with TK, and then the chattering teeth start spilling in and Raz has to fight his way out with psi-blast.
Third comes Milla - I swapped her with Lilli compared to the "canon" order first because I misremembered, but then I stuck with it because I felt like it worked better thematically. Anyway, Milla's room (seen bottom left) is a combo of her meditation chamber and Cassie's house back in the gulch, with pillows and tapestries and books everywhere, honeycomb wallpaper, and of course, Bees? Bees! They Have Chosen The Bees. You might notice the big scary beehive from the Forgetful Forest in the middle of the room; the escape here involves Milla re-teaching Raz levitation, the two of them pulling out the beehive with TK, using psi-blast to fend off the subsequent BEES, and then Raz drops in the hole and uses levitation to hover his way to safety. (At this point Cally is like KID C'MON and outright intercepts and dementistrates Milla rather than just keep her trapped.)
Last but hardly least is Lilli; she's in a combo of Truman's office and what she tells Raz looks a lot like her house/apartment - Cally's functionally kind of an uncle to her in this verse, so he's been particularly thoughtful in crafting a comfortable, familiar mind-prison for her. (The Extremely Subtle Foreshadowing also continues here, with envelopes and a hacksaw on the desk, the brain case on the shelf, and of course The Fuckoff Huge Crown Chandelier hanging above the desk.) The other wall has a bunch of family photos of Lilli and Truman, and one big pic of young Cally and Truman in the Gulch; Lilli re-teaches Raz pyro so he can burn that, and Enormous Mental Cally takes this as an opportunity to grab Raz much like in the original game.
Now we're at the point of the second image, and where things particularly divert from the original version of the level in my mind! Big Ol Cally drops Raz in a combat arena and he has to deal with a few waves of Censors and Doubts and Regrets - I haven't decided if this is the first time you encounter true Combat or if you have mini-waves throughout the level like in the "canon" version, but if it is your first combat I like the idea of Lilli being your "mission control" explaining the new enemies an dhow to beat them. Either way, Raz fights a couple waves while trying to convince Cally to give them information, he refuses, and when it looks like Raz is in a real tight spot he manages to dive off the arena deeper into Cally's subconscious.
This is where we start incorporating RoR stuff! Raz drops all the way to the little dollhouse representation of Cal's childhood home, goes in, sees a little Cassie-style paper projection of young Cal and overhears his parents having their Oh What Can We Possibly Do We Can't Handle This Child Anymore conversation. Paper Cal hides in a wardrobe, Raz follows, and this portals into this endless-seeming hospital hallway where dialog plays between li'l Cal and the doctors, revealing to Raz that they were going to lobotomize him for being psychic. (I think maybe you find your first accessible memory vault either here or in the path I talk about in a second; that one goes into how Cal got taken in by the psychic 7 and i also have that one concepted out please god give me time and energy to draw these soon). After this plays there's a cutscene where representations of the psychic 7 tear apart the hallway, and Raz falls into this paper representation of the Gulch. He follows a little path past some simple setpieces of things you'll see later in the game, talks to himself a bit like Wow This Is Just Like True Psychic Tales So Cool That Agent O'Pia Grew Up Here :)
Now this path leads past a little paper version of Lucy's hut (which Raz doesn't recognize for sure, which bugs him), and the path around THAT leads to a big winding path through a parted waterway (which Raz is Very Much Not Happy About, reestablishing the water curse - maybe there's a little cutscene where he sees the hand of Galochio much like in the first game at the beach). Raz nervously walks through, and dialogue plays between Cally and Mysterious Figures revealing Cal got caught undercover and was threatened into assisting with the Kidnap Truman plot (or rather, they threatened Cassie and Lillie and Oleander, which ended up being Much more effective than threatening his own life). At the end of the path Raz finds the base from RoR, and it's in there that he sees "Loboto" talking to the Shadowy Figure similar to canon and 1) learns whoever hired Loboto was a mole, and 2) sees the vision of Maligula when the figure reiterates his threat to Cal-slash-Cal's family. Vision-Maligula destroys the village, Raz snaps back to the real world, and There's Our Game!
if you've read this far you're a hero beyond compare here's the image descriptions for you
[Image 1 ID: Digital sketches of four boxlike rooms. The top left room is labeled "OLEANDER" and incorporates elements from Loboto's Lab in Psychonauts, including the jagged glass window, Mr. Pokeylope's terrarium, and a prototype brain tank sticking out of the floor. There are miscellaneous papers on the floor, and a brain tank blueprint on the wall. Various framed photos of Oleander are also on the wall, most of which have been scribbled over or otherwise defaced. There is a hatch high on one wall, and a secret room with a memory vault behind a pyro-able picture.
The top right room is labeled "SASHA" and resembles a combination of Sasha and Otto's labs, with a large bookshelf making up one wall covered in books, papers and gadgets, floating shelves on the other wall, as well as a desk with office chair, computer monitor and Tiffany lamp. Sasha's examination table is in a far corner, with Truman's brain case on top of it. The floor has a glass swirl revealing brains being transported similar to Otto's brain storage. There is a partially open sliding door on one wall where chattering teeth toys are spilling in.
The bottom left room is labeled "MILLA" and resembles a combination of Milla's meditation chamber and Cassie's home in the Gulch. The walls have a honeycomb pattern wallpaper and string lights, with an eye tapestry hanging on one wall. There are round lantern lights hanging from the ceiling, with bees flying overhead. The floor is a round conversation pit covered in pillows, throw rugs and books; in the center is a massive oozing beehive similar to the one in the Forgetful Forest.
The final, bottom right room is labeled "LILLI" and resembles Truman's office. There is a desk covered in envelopes and a hacksaw, with a desk chair behind it and two 60's style chairs in front. There are two shelves along the wall behind the desk, containing the brain case among other things, and the wall prominently displays the Psychonauts logo. A chandelier resembling the Maliks' crown is hanging from the ceiling above the desk. There is a couch and several plants against the opposite wall, and many family photos of Truman and Lilli on the wall perpendicular, with the largest (pyro-able) one being a picture of young Cally and Truman. End ID.]
[Image 2 ID: Digital sketches of three scenes in Cally's mental world. The first shows Raz (represented by the simple head-and-legs silhouette used in Peter Chan's concepts) diving off a disc-like combat arena (on which are several Censors, Doubts and Regrets) towards the dollhouse representing Cal's childhood home, which is floating in space. The second shows Raz in one of the dollhouse rooms with a paper-projection version of young Cal, with an arrow leading into a wardrobe, which portals into a long hospital hallway with a "NEUROLOGY" sign on the wall, eventually trailing off into nothing. The third shows Raz walking past Lucy's old hut in the Gulch, along a winding path through parted water, and ultimately to the Rhombus of Ruin base. End ID.]

Y'know as much as I loved Psychonauts 2 and its masterful plot twists, it never did answer how Loboto was able to defend himself against Sasha's mental construct so quickly in the first level
#pn2 spoilers#gristol malik#dr loboto#psychonaut 2 spoilers#The main two answers i can see here is#1) sasha did not anticipate that caligosto might have natural defenses from being born a psychic#(Im still not sure he knows that fact at all considering how much has happened since RoR and raz might not have had time to fill them in)#Or 2) Gristol employed another psychic to ensure loyalty and safeguards within the minds of his... henchmen for lack of a better word#i find the latter one to be more likely but if that is the case where is that person now? Where have they gone?#In fact where are any of the delugionists everyone has spoken of at the start of the game? Gristol can't have been acting alone#He doesn't strike me as the type to want to dirty his own hands#And actually following that previous line of thought i highly doubt mere hypnosis would result in the sheer terror Loboto had expressed#at the threat of maligula#and i feel like his hesitancy at boarding a boat might have to do with that very same fear of maligula#Yet its never properly addressed#idk i feel like there are a lot of loose threads in that general direction#am speculating#Did double fine do this on purpose?#AND THAT'S NOT EVEN TO MENTION THE CLEAR BAIT AND HOOK THEY'VE PREPARED WITH OTTO#I never did get to visit his mind. Ah well. Maybe some day#THAT IS SUCH A DELIBERATE LINE THEY'VE PUT RIGHT AT THE END#WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS#Worst part is i probably wont get answers for 20 years if i get any at all#sorry for rambling its 6 am and i haven't slept

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and hello, @razs-archetype I am your secret Santa this year!
Here is your gift. Lili does Arson on a tree in the newly decorated house, while Raz’ Archetype decorates himself with and the house with glitter, and Raz watches, and Compton and his “real” Tincan Zanotto puppet freakout. Plus it is snowing outside.
I Hope you like this! I had a lot of fun making it. I also could not resist making anything that involves Compton and the Goat puppets, as they are my fave characters ever!

A List of Psitanium & Psilirium related tech
for my own reference
Psychonauts 2: How the machines make contact with [a person’s] mind [?]
“The secret is Psitanium. It’s a psychoreactive quartz-like mineral that respnds to and amplifies, psychic energy. It vibrates with the psychic waves, driving the machines." - Otto Mentallis
Devices that (most likely have) psitanium/some sort of psychic energy
Psi-cards & Psi-cores
Cobweb dusters
Merit badges & Pins
Otto’s inventions (Thought tuner, Otto-shot, Otto-matic, Hyperhyglaciator, Astralathe, his amulet, Otto-bon)
Brain Tumbler
Psycho-Portal
ThinkerPrints (could probably count the gates/doorways having this tech)
Floating security camera with eyeballs for detecting psychics
Floating Platforms and other fancy looking tech
The Pelican (psychonauts jet)
Devices psilirium-related
