memes are fun and relatable and all that, but don't let them discourage you. all of that stuff that doesn't make it into the final product is part of how the final product gets made

been stewing on an analytical approach to fiction which I call "is this book afraid of me?" and in order to answer this question you determine how hard the book is trying to make sure you don't come after the writer on twitter

Additionally, there are SO many ways to actually get things written that you can't actually write. Here are some things I ACTUALLY went through when working with people who write
Edited for a man who suffered from a stroke and could only "write" via voice to text that couldn't punctuate, capitalize, or break into paragraphs. Told my ideas to other writers who got inspired by my ideas I had just been sitting on for years. Worked with people who struggled with getting their ideas down, playing soundboard and giving them ideas based off of their own universes/OCs/AUs/fanfiction.
Hey, you reblogged that AI post and I was surprised to see something so mean on your blog. "If you cant write unassisted, fuck you, youre a disgrace to the community." Is that really something you want on your blog?
Just in case this isn't a spam message:
Posting AI-generated content to a platform intended to be an archive for writers is not appropriate use of the platform. On a platform intended for human creation, it is rude and inappropriate to clog search results with AI-produced content which often plagiarizes the work of human authors.
Use of generative AI is also horrible for our environment, leading to massive waste of fossil fuel energy and water. We should not be doing damage to our planet for the sake of generating (robot-produced, often plagiarized) fiction, especially when the joy of fiction comes from the creation and emotion of real people.
Rather than giving a prompt to a generative AI, people should consider attempting to write their own work, or asking another writer from the fandom if they would be interested in writing it. Anyone who is capable of typing a prompt into ChatGPT is capable of writing a story. The first attempts may not be amazing, but that is true of any skill, and anyone can improve with time and practice - and while ChatGPT may give you big returns in your time, it doesn't give you practice, growth, or creativity, which is where the joy of writing should come from.

I have two important questions. One being importanter than the other.
The important one: When TwinRunes is done, is it okay if me (or any other YouTuber who’s does videos like this or wants to for that matter) makes a friendly critique/video-essay on Twin Runes? I’m not the kinda person who likes making YouTube videos but I’m still kinda curious for future notice.
The importanter one: I have no idea if this has been asked before, but if not, this is long overdue…
What are your boundaries when interacting on your blog?
As far as I am aware, there already exists a short review of the first couple of issues of Twin Runes. Though it is in Spanish. I cannot stop people from voicing their opinions on something. Nor should I. If it's out in the open, then people will critique it, or talk about it, or what have you. It's my first comic ever, so there will probably be plenty to critique anyways. That's why I'm making it in the first place. To learn and see what I can do better.
I want to be treated with the same kind of respect that you (the reader) expects to be treated as. And most importantly, I like to keep a healthy distance. I am not an art monkey. I don't take unsolicited ideas. I want to tell my story. I want to put myself out there. A lot of Twin Runes (and The Other Script) is a form of self-expression and dealing with internalized struggles. I love working on this comic and it means A LOT to me. It makes me happy when I am sad. For a lot of artists writing and drawing is a way to cope. And this is no different.

Friendly reminder that you should
Write that fic
Draw your OC
Redesign that blorbo
Plan that comic how you want
Create the content you want to see
Be cringe
Be free
The only thing that matters is you having fun! Not what others think!

The internet was supposed to be a place for connection and creativity. But it’s being flooded with AI text, algorithmic hostility, and platforms turning against the creatives who made them vibrant in the first place.
Tech giants have gone all-in on AI at creators’ expense. Google’s AI is baked into everything, prioritizing machine-generated slop over human work. Microsoft Word now suggests AI-generated “improvements” on every new line.
The Trump administration’s massive AI investment means there’s little incentive for tech giants to slow down the exploitation anytime soon. (Meta? Just caught training AI on 81.7 TB of pirated books.)
Big tech isn’t waiting for legal mandates to censor content—its platforms are restricting creative expression to appease political and corporate pressure, manufacturing consent in real time.

Technically this was weird for 14 days of Valentine's but this one stops HEAVY into angst and something the movie definitely didn't want to be thought about. But like... there's definitely some at least positive memories Rapunzel poetically has and she doesn't know how to really understand it until it hits like MONTHS/YEARS later. And that's where this Fic is like, "people can be awful but you can definitely miss them."
