it's 2024 and people are still accidentally deleting their ENTIRE tumblr accounts while trying to remove a sideblog, so... a PSA.

do not "delete" the sideblog. you have to change the "members" (admins/mods) of the sideblog to zero.

you can either do this by removing yourself from the list of members, or if you want to be extra safe you can add a burner account (ACCOUNT. NOT SIDEBLOG) as one or the members and THEN remove yourself

or, to be even safer, just set the sideblog to "password protected" - which means that no one can view it.

this website is made out of duct tape and it is very likely that if you try to delete a sideblog, you will delete everything.

Please, please, if you get an appointment text or email and it's to someone else: For the love of all things everywhere, please text or email back and say Wrong Person or Wrong Number or Wrong Email

Look, it happens. Either the office staff makes a typo in the person's email address or flips numbers in the phone number, Or the individual themself put their own phone or email in wrong.

Whatever the case, if it's a wrong number, please let the poor admin on the other end know. They are desperately trying to confirm appointments or hunt down some pertinent piece of info & will be So Fucking Happy to be told "Wrong #"

They will be so happy to stop bothering you because they do not know they have the wrong number/email unless they are told otherwise.

Me, this is about me. I am incredibly overwhelmingly grateful when we have a #/email flub and the person I've accidentally been contacting lets me know; instead of just letting me continue to slam my head against that wall and possibly getting annoyed at me for disturbing them to boot.

I hate being on the phone, I hate texting strangers, I hate emailing strangers. I don't want me to be bothering you either. I don't want me to be doing what I'm doing. But if I am doing it, I'm doing it because we need that information or confirmation or whatever.

You know who else would be eternally grateful (in most cases) that you told me I have the wrong #? The person I'm actually trying to reach. Because if I can't reach them to confirm their appointment, I will need to preemptively cancel it (yes, we tell every single person repeatedly that this is our policy because our waitlist is 15 people deep at all times and we try to see if we can get anyone in, and believe me we will try every avenue [repeatedly] to hunt people down to confirm so that we don't cancel them and fuck over their lives).

I understand not calling back to say "Hey wrong#" but if it's a text or email, please just reply that it's the "Wrong #/Email."

PSA: so basically english language wikipedia (specifically articles about holocaust in poland) has been methodically reshaped into a worthless ahistorical propaganda garbage dump by a group of extremely dedicated polish nationalists working together for years, steering wikipedia away from credible academia researchers citations into made-up academics and vicious antisemites. all to make up poles into the most valiant spotless helpers and victims and downplay the plight of the jewish people in ww2. all of it while avoiding consequences from wikipedia admins, not versed enough in eastern europe history complexities to catch them red handed.

i knew polish wikipedia was a lost project full of not-even-pretending-to-be-neutral-point-of-view history propaganda but to see that the same people pulled the same trick on the biggest wiki (and in my experience usually fairly well scrutinized) of them all is heartbreaking. also obviously if you want to learn literally anything about the holocaust english wikipedia is not your friend and will probably not be for a long time because the damage is THAT wide and far spread.

Discord has had a breach that has allowed scammers access to the official discord email system. I have had people confirm on other servers that this has been used to trick people and gain access to their accounts. For the time being, ignore any emails you get from discord.

A specific scam admins have been aware of is one where you receive a message claiming that your account is being suspended due to TOS violations. It contains a link that will then allow them to gain access to your account.

As always, practice digital safety precautions. Don't click suspicious links, and if you have reason to believe a friend has been hacked, try to contact them another way and let them know.

Don't join the Epic: The Musical Discord

This is a PSA to Epic: The Musical fans; don't join the Discord if you stand against discrimination and bigotry.

The ETM Discord admins have just put out a rule stating that ETM-sourced fictives are not allowed to use their PluralKit proxies. This is the latest in a long line of events that are discriminatory towards those with DID and OSDD.

The story at large is that, due to many systems reacting aggressively towards discriminatory behaviour against Epic fictives, the admins are locking down on Epic fictives. However, this action is made after a series of warnings, bans and other punishments made against systems, sometimes for aggressive backlash, and other times for simply asking to be treated with respect.

Notably, the offenders who treat systems with disrespect, such as source jokes directed at alters, treatment of alters as their sources, and "why is a bot talking to me" comments and who continue to do so even after being given an explanation, and after being given the bot command made specifically to tackle these issues, remain unpunished in the vast majority of cases.

The wording of the explanation reveals a lot about the biases and viewpoint of the admins; "This change ensures interactions involving EPIC-sourced alters are managed in a way that minimizes the potential for discomfort or harm" denoting that alters need to be "managed," and "mitigate the potential for unintended triggers or discomfort that may arise from recognizable EPIC introjects" detailing in full an understanding that Epic-sourced introjects must hide their existence, which, historically, denotes an underlying sentiment that they do not have the right to exist. This, on top of previous actions taken by the admins, is unacceptable behaviour.

"This decision reflects Jorge's commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive community for everyone," supposedly, while also making a large portion of the community feel unsafe and unsupported. It is also unlikely that Jorge had any say in this - while this is purely conjecture, at this point, given the circumstances of the Ithaca trip and the time of the announcement, it seems nigh-impossible, and regardless, fails to live up to the commitment towards safety and support.

I would ask that you not only refrain from joining the Discord, but spread the word of these events, which are disappointing, if not unexpected, to the large system community within the Epic fandom and Discord.

Our thoughts and observations under the cut!

Round 1:

I clearly thought Ninjaslap would be the biggest sweep, but pixltoile suprisingly fought well, And fish yuri left no shot to Zaypixel and Geminitay

Round 1.1.3 was extremly close, but Shubble x Hypno won by O.8%! (≈4 peoples!)

We already got two piece of "propagandart" (propaganda art) in round 1, and both were for Fish yuri! (by @t4tpolypd and @staringamassivemistakeintheface)

Round 2:

Mogbeans/Swamp boys tried hard but T4T yuri was stronger (My boys 😭 - Admin 1)

Littlesoot got its ass kicked by hotguy/fundy and was crying in a corner when suddendly, out of nowhere, it took itlwblr by storm, broke containment, the poll broke 1k votes, became the most noted of the brackets (yet) and won with a large margin!

FWhilza fought well but Bighills was stronger

Fish Yuri still prevail with the biggest sweep yet (87.3%!!!)

Jojosolos/Jack Manifold vs Tommyinnit/Scott Smajor was the closest yet! (50.1 to 49.9!!!!)

Scegg vs Stresstherine was so close it switched side at least 5 times!

this is the first round where they weren't a >40% sweep! but the choice are only getting harder from here!

PSA regarding Equiliberty/EL

As many of you may know, Equiliberty is a large Sims 4 equestrian server hosted on discord. It is with immense disappointment that I find myself making this post. What was once a fun place to share new creations, now stands on shaky legs in light of many recent events. For those who are unaware, i’ll share an explanation here, alongside screenshots as much of it has been deleted or removed, alongside those who contributed to the discussions.

It’s been apparent for a long time now that management is unable to handle addressing a server of this size and magnitude. No suggestions or criticism towards the admin team have been well received, either option to be ignored or brushed off, at best. At worst, those who hold concerns are possibly banned. This came to a head when, after asking for suggestions on how to restore the server’s activity level, nearly all of EL’s moderation team quit due to the lack of responsibility or willingness to hear our other concerns or suggestions.

EL has consistently shown hostility towards other communities, refusing to acknowledge them as friends but rather rivals who ‘poach’ members from their own server. They’ve even gone as far as to publicly discourage other owners.

In light of all of this, it was revealed that one admin has said some rather unsavory things regarding the trans and non-binary community in private. Previously, both this admin and another staff member were questioned for seemingly transphobic discord bios, which was promptly brushed off as irrelevant to their position as a staff member. EL has stated multiple times that their staff do not represent the server or their values, and are unwilling to vet anyone they plan to welcome into the team.

In response, this admin member has refused to take accountability for her words and has instead attempted to downplay the severity of their impact. For those of you looking for a safe space ran by inclusive admins, Equiliberty Sims is not the one for you.
