i'm a sucker for abo, and as such, have read a looot of it over the years. its a genre that's very easy to descend into wtf-how-are-they-still-alive-after-THAT territory but this fic does it very well in a way i haven't seen too often. i loved the world-building and set up.

Alphas might rule the world, but Jungkook finds himself being ruled by the need to make you his. Omegas are rare, precious, and pliant. At least, most are. When you present late, well into your twenties, you're already set in your headstrong ways; a challenge even for a commanding alpha like Jungkook. Add to that the centuries-long feud between your families and the last thing anyone expected was for him to claim you as his soulmate.

a sea of indigo series by @foxymoxynoona this was the first BTS fic i ever read... and is a big reason as to why i got into the fandom in the first place. i had no clue who they were before then. i'd heard of them + listened to agust d without knowing it was yoongi 💀 but this fic made me check out BTS RUN and now here we are 🤪

Pitbull Hybrid Jungkook has finally been freed from the fighting rings, and now finds himself at Marigold Sanctuary & Transition Estate, a place for healing and self-discovery for rescued hybrids. It's stupid, dumb, cheesy, and hell-bent on helping Jungkook "heal" and "find himself" and "decide the course of his life." And right at the center of it is Y/N, a nurse who's got everyone bamboozled that she's like some awesome person. She's not that great. Jungkook hates it here.

( tells or shows what players / other pets are interacting with ! ) something else you can do is write about your own game or series you come from !! and like I did earlier , u could write about / draw the device(s) / website / app / etc used to care for you ! ( like how it looks or how it functions , neat features , other virtual pets included , etc ! )

okay so no idea how i should refer to myself as so: hi!! im the person who had way too much fun writing ai/nino toxic yuri on ao3! i was gonna just lurk (me, tumblr account with privated likes, reblogs and follows) BUT how could i with the promise of people being normal about fictional unhealthy gay women. idk if this is the optimal way to communicate i use tumblr with the sole purpose of following 4 people and digging up ai content

i am honestly so flattered (but also kinda upset at the lack of content on them aside from my own 1k word long oneshot please keep recommending if you find more stuff on them) that you enjoyed and recommended my fics considering i just straight up had no clue where i was going: okay so top priority i want them to kiss —> but also with how things are nino would probably lash out (read: bite) —> ai would be hesitant but also is so desperate that she’d still accept it happily —> this will fuel ninos idea of ai being the perfect, invincible idol —> and then i ran and tried not to trip with the rest

your translations of the side stories and blog was probably what helped me get in to oshi no ko again because even though i am still not over ai being dead i can now listen to someone talk about how great and tragic and sad and miserable she was along with all the other characters so thank you again!

that said it does make me so happy every time I hear people saying my relentless oshi no posting stands out to them to the degree that it does lol. I guess I'm in a similar place as you where, as happy as I am for it, it does make me a little sad that it feels like there's such little fan interest in lengthy meta and discussion on Ai herself outside of some really banal, surface level stuff. To a degree, I get that with other characters having so much more time on the page and having ongoing arcs to speculate about, but Ai is sooooooooo fascinating to me and it really drives me insane how often I see people make zero effort to engage with her arc beyond her utilitarian function in the story. It also really bums me out how often I see her get reduced to just a stepping stone in the arcs of other characters — even though the manga is literally shaking you right now and begging you to understand and empathize with her more than ever, I straight up see people cheering and crowing about Ruby 'surpassing' her or 'becoming the true Ai' as if this is a good thing and they are not completely fucking missing the point lmao.

Clawdeen: Who knew you could be pretty, rich and substantial?

Frankie: Still blood rivers run deep. Under her wraps there are layers to a complicated, fiery, surprisingly sweet ghoul.

Clawdeen shined a goofy knowing smile.

Frankie smiled: What's that smile? It's like your teeth have a secret.

Clawdeen: You sound like you're catching feelings for the Princess of Monster High.

Since I'm not allowed to bury monsters here, Deuce and I played a prank on their team. The prank went wrong, and a few leeches got badly sunburnt. The headmistress was talking about suspension, and my pharaoh father would've locked me under the pyramid if he heard I was involved. I let Deuce take the whole wrap. He missed a week. The ironic part is I loved him even more for the same reason he hates me now.

Frankie wiped the tear off Cleo's running mascary.

Frankie: You're even prettier when you tell your sad story.

Cleo: Do you think I'm the worse person in history?

Frankie: I think you have competition with dictators, CEOs and clowns.

Cleo laughed.

Deuce and Clawdeen walk with their cones of eye-scream in the Monster High fields.

Clawdeen tries to think of the right way to tell Deuce she doesn't want to date him. Deuce's snakes eat his eye-scream whole, then they steal Clawdeen's. She laughs while the little tongues lick her claws. Deuce puts his hands on Clawdeen's hips, his eyes meet hers, her smile is shy but her nod says yes. They kiss.

Clawdeen: Huh. Too bad.

Deuce: Okay. Glad to know. Congrats.

Deuce: Clawdeen is a lesbian. 

Cleo: Just because she doesn't want to date you? You of all monsters should recognize bi-erasure.

Deuce: Yeah, I know better. When I kissed that dude Freddie, there were stars in my eyes. When I kissed you, there were fireworks.

Cleo: Of course there were.

Deuce: When I kissed Clawdeen, she was disappointed.

Cleo: Pity. How will someone so gorgeous move on from this hurt?

Deuce: That wolf's got as much honor as she does curls, I'm not worried about her.

Cleo: I was talking about you, Deuce. I'm not worried about you moving on.

Deuce: Oh... You and her?

Draculaura hung upside down in her dormroom.

Clawdeen: Whatcha thinking about?

Draculaura: I'm feeling a little guilty about hurting Lagoona.

Clawdeen: You respected her enough to be honest with her. It's better for her.

Draculaura: I think the truth is overrated. I lie about my witchcraft to my father, my coven, so they will stay proud of me. 

Clawdeen: That's complicated. But I can't imagine your family rejecting you for anything. I think how you're learning magic is crazy smart. And it really goes with your effortless elegance thing.

Dracualura chuckles: You think I'm elegant?

Clawdeen: Obviously. 

Draculaura: Clawdeen, you're got something on your nose. Come here.

Clawdeen stepped closer to her hanging friend. Before the werewolf asked what the vampire saw, Draculaura took her chin and pulled Clawdeen into a soft kiss.

Clawdeen: Wow. 

Draculaura: Yeah. I miss you even in the short times you're gone.

Lagoona cried on Cleo's shoulder.

Cleo: Dracu-slut-bag couldn't wait a day before walking hand and paw with Clawdeen?!

Frankie: Cleo, I'd appreciate you not calling my friend such an ugly name.

Cleo: Lagoona is humiliated and floundering, your friends will face my fury.

Frankie: Lagoona, I am sorry for your heart, but please know it wasn't personal. And Cleo, please say you didn't mean what you just said.

Cleo: You know I speak my truth.

Frankie: I know you're hot-blooded and sometimes speak without thinking, so I'm giving you the benefit of my doubt.

Cleo: Do not doubt I will avenge this Angelfish's heart. Frankie, you are with us or against me.

From down the hall, Draculaura and Clawdeen held hands. Deuce stood next to them.

Deuce: I can't tell if I'm falling for softer Cleo or if I'm just jealous of Frankie.

Draculaura: I'm not rooting for you on either account. However, I do want my friend to be happy. 

Clawdeen: Love is complicated.

I’ve always adhered to Interpretation 1 and Interpretation 3 the most and I think they even compliment each other. As you point out, the text is the text, and we don’t really have any reason to question Armand’s motivations during that scene, he’s being as much of an open book as he can be, pouring his heart out to Lestat like never before and it’s as ugly as it is gut wrenching and beautiful. Is it toxic? Most definitely. Is it unhealthy asf? Absolutely. Is it also the truth? Also yes. And at the time of this confession, he did think Louis and Marius were dead and I feel like he was trying to be like “see these two here? These two we both loved so much and we just lost? Well, this seems like a good moment to tell you I love you more than I ever loved them, and you won’t even think about loving me in the same way” (even if we know this isn’t exactly true, it’s not like Lestat contradicts Armand directly to his face). Throwing Daniel’s name as a point of reference, as much as he adores him, wouldn’t have meant much to Lestat given that Lestat doesn’t have a history with Daniel, whereas he’s very much aware of the depths of Armand’s love for Louis and Marius because he loves them just as much. And still, Armand loves him more. Which is just BLEAK to me lmao and that’s the beauty of it I love them so much your honor (and you and your meta!!!) xoxo DA 🥹

But gosh, yeah, thank you for your feedback on this one! It's such a loaded scene no matter how you choose to interpret it! I've broken it down firmly within the L/A context before; it is BLEAK but I do have hope for them. 🥹

Prior to The Scene, Lestat's pondering, 'And where is Armand, my poor desperate Armand, who had been beating the walls with his fists, my poor Armand?' Then his 'poor desperate Armand' lays right into him a few pages later. (Much needed, very deserved, but still... woof). And I think such a large part of that is that Armand knew he couldn't trust Lestat with Louis and then he was proven right in the worst way. Lestat acknowledges this as well, after Armand has left him even more shell-shocked. Ultimately, I love what Anne did there -- it was necessary for both of them and their relationship to grow.
