The wide skirt, in straw seersucker, is made with godets. The bodice, covered behind in straw seersucker stretched flat, is trimmed in front with a pleated chemisette in straw silk gauze, to which is attached a straight collar of the same fabric, decorated with cabbages on the sides; we finish the chemisette at the bottom edge with pleated draperies in dark red silk; these draperies, crossed in front, are tied behind at the waist; Long pleated panels are attached to it, falling to the hem of the skirt. The very puffy seersucker sleeves are covered with large guipure shoulder pads, falling behind in pointed ends to the waist.

Note
drop the sauce recipe though it looks amazing 😂🩷🩷
Ingredients:
4 smaller onions
1 big potato
1 bigger zucchini
3-4 kgs of tomatoes
10-13 cloves of garlic
herbs: handful of basil, teaspoon of thyme, 2 tablespoons of oregano/provencal herbs, just a bit of rosemary and lovage
spices: generous amount of salt (definitely over a tablespoon), almost a teaspoon of pepper, tablespoon of sweet red paprika, nutmeg, dried basil and oregano (and a bit of spices from the jar grandma gave me and i never identified), bay leaf and allspice
a tablespoon of sugar or a replacement of your choice (i used date sirup so my grandma with diabetes can eat it)
bit of olive oil
Method:
Fry cut up onion on the olive oil, add sugar/replacement of it to caramelize it.
Add cut up tomatoes (internet said to peel them but I skipped that part since you will blend it at the end), peeled and grated zucchini, add all spices (put bay leaf and allspice in a bag/seasoning ball to take it out easily before blending) and don't forget to mix.
Cook for about half an hour, add raw peeled and grated potato (choose a big one or two smaller ones), cut up garlic and fresh herbs.
After about an hour of cooking, it should be soft enough for blending. Take out the bag/seasoning ball with bigger sized spices, blend it all together and you are done.
To make the sauce last, pour it into clean glass jars (stop a bit under the lids, don't fill it to the top) and screw on the lids. Take a huge pot, put a fabric kitchen towel on the bottom for stability, put the jars on top of it but avoid them touching each other.
Put it on the stove, pour water to stop about 1-2 cms under the shortest lid, close a lid over the pot and bring it to a boiling point.
Once it boils, lower it to smaller heat and leave it like that for about an hour. You can leave them inside once you turn it off, but if you are getting ready for another batch, prepare another cloth, take all jars out and stand them upside down on their lids.
And you are done! It should last months conserved like this (maybe more? i need to consult that with grandma still lmao) and you can eat it like this with pasta and a bit of parmesan cheese on top, or add it to lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs...

The Mad King
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His Highness, Juno Ara Malik
Nicknames
Junebug - by everyone who he loves
Rat King - he gained it by those who only view him for his title
Anak laki-laki ungu yang manis - possibly not translated well, but it means Sweet Purple Boy in Indonesian. It is used by his mother, as she would adorn her son in Royal purple, and since, it has become his color, it remains stained on the palace walls, and shown in almost ever rug he owns-which is ironic, considering his favorite color is actually red.
Age: 28
Birthday: January 21st
Gender/Sexuality: Bisexual man {He/Him}
Astrology: Aquarius sun, Pisces moon, Leo rising
Patron Arcana: Judgement
Upright- Awakening, decision-making, redemption, transition
Reversed - Poor logic, self-doubt, stagnation
Tumblr media
Physical Attributes:
Ethnicity: Prakran with a bit of Indonesian and Indian
Height: 5'8
Face Claim: Imran Anj
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hair:
Tumblr media
His hair is Mid-length, so a little longer than past his shoulders
Tumblr media
Light brown eyes, and thick eyebrows, but he definitely trims them to look arched most days
I'd say he looks similar to face claim completely when it comes to lips, nose, facial structure {that's generally how I picture him if he didn't have the long colorful hair}
Tumblr media
Important Relationships:
King Arogatus Malik of Kari Beaundes - His father, who rules over his home land
Lee Lee and Amaria, his cousins. Both live with him seeing as their parents died of the red plague {they were in Vesuvia at the time of the plague, it was miracle the pair didn't pass away too}
High Council Madame Luvia - His grandmother, who is deceased. She was decapitated.
Jayda - His right hand man and closest friend. Sometimes it's hard to tell if theres something between them, or just longing
Zahra - The one who handles all his business with his courtiers, and who basically took his grandmothers job. She's also a good friend of Jayda's, as he would trust her with his life, which she's complained is far too much responsibility considering how irresponsible he can be.
Favorites
Favorite food: Grilled halloumi
Favorite drink: Pinot Noir
Favorite Flower: French Hydrangea

Background/Other Info:
Juno is a bastard child, as yes, he is his father's son, but his mother was not of royal decent. Juno's father is not completely to blame for this, as his wife, The Queen, passed away of an illness, and he had to resort to sleeping with a servant to produce an heir, otherwise his line would've been endangered. Juno will not take after his father though, his cousin Amaria will; ergo why Juno's father had him take over a small Provence at the age of 14. He felt bad that his son would not be able to take after his footsteps.
Juno was raised by his teachers, servants, and guards when he was sailed across the sea to Roya. His grandmother took no interest in him besides hating him, she would regular burn his hands and back, and he remains to have a scar on his face from her dagger. In fact, her treatment only resulted in Juno growing to be spiteful and cruel in some ways, and at the age of 17, he decapitated her in a purple blaze. Her very own sword being used to do the beheading.
Because he is a bastard, he has no biological connections to the countess, but when asked about him, she called him 'Cousin Juno', and he holds her dearly for including him, even if they're not blood related.
Juno did in fact meet Nadia once, and Zahra insisted on putting a show. So they brought several animals, fabrics, and gifts for the whole palace, and city of Vesuvia. Zahra claims it was a good thing, because now vesuvians have a good image of him, but he thinks that they probably think he's stuck up for doing that much.
Style Preference/Clothing:
It's important to mention that Juno shows as much skin as possible, but not for the reasons you think. He does it to show his burns, his scars, what his grandmother has left him, to remind the people of Roya, that he too has suffered at her hand too. His need to bare himself to the world often results in lots of silk and sheer fabric. He needs to be seen.
He is often adorned in deep blue, red, black, and purple fabrics. He likes a lot of gold in jewelry, commonly wearing black jewels and rubies. He loves the way they reflect in the light. He has a nose piercing, but he'll also wear earrings and necklaces. He's actually very weirded out by lace though, so you'll see him avoid it.

Dynamic? How is he with others?
Juno, while his reputation states otherwise, is genuinely kind-hearted. While he surely can seem sly or charming, he generally has the best intentions when doing so. He's not going to treat you like a threat unless your a genuine problem.
To strangers, he's welcoming, he wants to get to know them, discover what makes them, well- them. He's aware of boundaries though, and will always make sure he's not crossing a line. He's especially kind if he has a good word about you from Zahra or Jayda, getting to know them is the key to getting to Juno if we're being honest. He holds their opinion extremely highly.
To friends, it really depends on who he's with. With Jayda, he's gentle, he jokes, but only mildly, nothing that could genuinely hurt him, and he's highly aware of how sensitive Jayda can be to insults, he knows that the magician has given him the gift of awareness, and he knows it's led to him being insecure about every single thing he does. So he is there as a pillow for Jayda. In contrast, with Zahra and Atlas, he teases them and mocks them all the time, because they do the same, and he's gained the sense they like it. They mean it in no rude way, and it's merely what their used to. For newer friends, he'll analyze you, see what you seem comfortable with, and then he'll try to follow that pattern with you
To partners, you have two options:
You show that you're not really interested in romance, you're more into the passion, the desires of it all. He will treat you as such. He will spoil you, listen to your every fantasy, and do his very best to please you. But he won't show his love as much. He will send you gifts, treat you to nice dinners, balls, all of it. But he won't show how much he loves you, because he'll think it's a turn off. Though, that doesn't mean he's not head over heels for you, he absolutely is, otherwise, your relationship would just be friends with benefits.
You show that you want him, love him, you want him to romance you, lure you in. God, will he play into your every demand. He loves you, and if you let him show it, he won't hesitate to every single moment he's around you. He's handsy, he'll keep his hand on your shoulder, your back, your face. Wherever he can. He may not be too public about it, but that's because he considers your relationship sacred to just you too. Overall though, he's way more affectionate.
Juno is always available for interactions, or ships, so if you're curious, feel free to send an ask

Green shirt with a pointed collar has an interesting design featuring random pieces of a map of Aix-en-Provence, France. Shirt has a top-stitched front band and cuffs close with two buttons. There is no pleat in the back. Fabric is polyester. I am having trouble showing the true colour, but it is definitely green and not grey. Brand is Daire - 1970s.

Agents at the Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport had intercepted 392 posted packages between May and December last year, containing primate skulls mostly from Cameroon and destined for collectors in the United States.
They also seized hundreds more packages with skulls or bones from other species.
None of the packages seized included any legal authorisations for the sale of protected species, customs said.
"Trafficking in protected species is one of the most lucrative trades, after drugs, weapons and people trafficking," airport customs chief Gilbert Beltran told reporters, displaying hundreds of skulls, jaws and horns from protected species.
This "sordid" business generates between eight and 20 billion euros ($8.5 billion - $21 billion) per year, he said.
Customs officials first became aware of the skull trade in May 2022, when they discovered seven skulls that had been posted from Africa.
They intensified their search and found dozens more, mostly from the cercopithecoid family that includes macaques, baboons and mandrills, and from chimpanzees.
The primates are usually hunted down for meat, said Fabrice Gayet, a customs expert in animal trafficking. "The sale of the skulls is a follow-on business," he said.
The skulls of small primates fetch 30 to 50 euros each, larger ones 400-500 euros and chimpanzee skulls up to 1,000 euros, he said.
There is also a flourishing business in the remains of other species, including otters, felines, lizards and birds of prey.
The skulls will be handed over to the Museum of Natural History in Aix-en-Provence, southern France, for scientific evaluation.

Camaret-sur-Aigues, France (No. 9)
During the 19th century, excavations uncovered cash, funerary urns, oil lamps, so-called lachrymatory vessels and polished silver mirrors. An epigraph tombstone embedded in the façade of a house had been unsealed and sold. It bore the inscription S. P. SEVERIUS SIBI ET SVIS VIVUS FECIT. Remains of an aqueduct that supplied Orange with spring water had also been identified16.
During the twentieth century, more scientific excavations led to the discovery of a fragment of an epigraph altar in the Hopscotch district, and three tegulæ burials on the site of the Garriguettes.
Throughout the late Middle Ages and until the Revolution, Camaret depended on the barony of Sérignan. It had first belonged to the Principality of Orange since Raymond VII of Toulouse, Count of Provence, had given it as a fief, in 1237, to Raymond des Baux. This fief was given as a dowry to Tiburge of Orange on her marriage to Adhémar de Poitiers, Count of Valentinois. In 1324, the latter granted the election of two syndics to represent the community. Their successors, on 7 May 1416, signed a price for the construction of new ramparts.
The knight Guillaume Fabri was co-lord of Camaret-sur-Aigues until he was condemned to the chapter of Lattes18. In 1346, it was the former baile of Pélissanne (1345), Raymond Martini, who was commissioned to sell his possessions. Around 1346, William of Orange was lord of Camaret and Sérignan. Noble and powerful, Jean de Baux, lord of Camaret and Sérignan, had in his service as ordinary judge of his two lands, in 1369, a noble bachelor, originally from Orange, Bérenger Sadoyrani, judge of Arles (1372) and of Sisteron (1387).
In 1495, the Town Council obtained permission from the barony that each inhabitant could cultivate a tithe-free garden on fruit and pasture.
The Wars of Religion raged for a decade. Camaret having been taken by the religionists, January 5, 1563, the papal captain Fabrice Serbelloni came to lay siege. After four days of cannonade, his troops invested the village and put 100 prisoners to the sword. A new attack by the Calvinists of Nyons took place in 1573. But their henchman who was to open the doors for them was unmasked and they withdrew. This was not the case two years later. On 3 May 1575, the Huguenots of Orange forced their way into the place, but were soon forced to retreat in the face of the troops sent by Cardinal d'Armagnac.
These attacks have made it possible to know that in 1565, the ramparts opened by three gates: the Great Gate or Berenguier Gate, also known as the Ursuline Gate; the Porte Jaubert or Portalet; the Carbonnel Gate. Those of Le Portail and Carbonnel were preceded by a drawbridge. When the fighting was over, two other gates were opened, the Breach and the Tower.
It was in 1599 that the two syndics of the village changed their title to that of consul.
