Since Will is a year-round camper he doesn't have much money on him,and when he wanted something he usually couldn't afford it. After starting their relationship,Nico always bought him whatever he wanted (it was usually something about his medical profession). And while at the start Will was uncomfortable with it,he later on realized that Nico wasn't going to stop so he just accepted his fate.

Nico didn't have people to care for,and that loved him,for a very long time. So when he started dating Will,he made sure that he could always be comfortable with him. He also loves to spoil him because he want Will to be happy and want him to never feel restricted by their life.

Even tho he is the Head Medic and usually heal whoever ends up hurt,when it cames to people that tried to talk shit about Nico or one of his sibling,Will make sure the healing process is long,hard and hurting. He is very protective of his loved ones.

Nico took the habit to help Will around the infirmary when he's stressed or really busy,so he can be there for him if there are some problems and they still can spend time together. Will always appreciate him doing so,because it's mean that Nico is comfortable enough to go out of his comfort zone for him.

Nico likes to give Will gifts in random days. It doesn't matter if it's a birthday,a celebration,their anniversary,an importan date or a normal day,Nico will still buy him a pretty gift because he wants Will to have good things.

When Nico has some political matters to attend,as either the Prince of the Underworld,the Ambassador of Pluto or the Ghost King,Will usually goes with him. During these times,he picked up a bit of politics and Nico always listen to him when he give some advice. Strange enough he is never wrong and his intuition help Nico a lot in the meetings.

Since Will wanted his siblings to bond with his boyfriend,he organized some outings and a couple of trips for all of them together. While the 3 never disliked each others,they also weren't that much close. His plan was a success,but Kayla and Austin spent the time being chaotic and dragging Nico into their shenanigas. Will was so done with them.

Parallel to that,when Nico and Will visit Hazel a Camp Jupiter,Nico make sure to leave the two a couple of times alone to have them bonding. They pass the time talking about their favorite books and authors,and Nico is always happy to see them interact together.

After Nico started to buy infirmary supplies,Will started to accompany him (when he could) in almost all of his trips. He spend most of the time speaking about certain medical equipment with passion and happiness. He doesn't realize it yet,but whatever supplies he touch,talks or get excited about,will always be bought.

Nico is extremely attentive to other people mood and can read their body language well. He can understand when Will get a little anxious or doesn't feel well in just a couple of seconds. He is the first one to act on it and make sure that he feels alright. For this reason,Nico is Will comfort person.

Will is extremely protective of Nico when it cames to quests or wars. He know that his boyfriend can take care of himself,but when he see an enemy or monster a little bit to close to him or actually get him,he just loose it. Nico witnessed a couple of times Will having a crash out in those moments and he doesn't want to add numbers to it: Will can be scary.

Will loves criminology,psychology and philosophy. There are a lot of books in his cabin about those topics (most of them are bought by Nico) and he is quite passionate by them. Nico always make sure to listen when he talks about his hobbies and sometimes give him an opinion on them. Will is happy that he is interested in them too.

On Halloween they spend time traveling to an hunted house to another and a couple of asylum too,sometimes Kayla,Austin and Hazel joins them,but they are usually alone. Because of Nico's connection to the death,the houses (if they are really hunted) spirits respond to his presence. This give Will all the time in the world to ask whatever question he needs about their death.

Connected to the previous one,Will is really interested in analyzing criminals and killers's minds and how their psychology works. When Nico found out he was a bit speechless,other than him and Hazel no one else were interested in the dead,they were pretty much feared. But,no matter the strange hobby,he still supported him.

Nico can play the violin,he learned when he was still living in Venice by a a music teacher,but he almost never use it anymore. When Will found out about this,he begged his boyfriend to play the violin for him,and even reluctantly,Nico still agreed. For Will. Sometimes he play (when Will ask him if he can),but only when they are alone in his cabin.

Will doesn't know much about Bianca because Nico doesn't usually talk about her. But there are moments,especially her death anniversary,where he just start to pour out everything crying. Will make sure to held him in those moments and be there for him after. He never knew her but seeing Nico so hurt make him feel hurt too.

Micheal and Lee aren't as a much as a taboò that Bianca is,but Will usually never talk much about them. The infirmary's magazine has some broken or old supplies that he never throw out because they were bought by them. Nico wasn't around much at the time,but still remember two son of Apollo helping around in the infirmary. When Will has his moments about their deaths,Nico is closer by to comfort him.

As a son of Hades,Nico is able to summons ghosts or go directly to the source. He tried to find in the Fields or in Elysium Will's brothers a couple of times,because he wanted him to have closure,something that he never had. He never found them,and he couldn't even summon their ghosts. They also went for Rebirth like Bianca. Nico never told Will any of his attemps.

Kayla and Austin adore Nico as their brother-in-law,he usually buy them stuff too when he goes shopping and sometimes even bought them a couple of gifts. Half of the Apollo cabin is full of expensive things: music albums of any genres,musical struments,merchandising of whatever things they like,and some autographs from famous singers. Will is extremely greatful to Nico,because he makes sure that his siblings never had to worry about financial problems when it cames to things they like.

When Hazel came to visit,she always bought a couple of gifts for Will. The gifts are usually about the books he likes and want to read,but she also make sure to put a couple of medical herbs that are difficult to obtain,a lot of unicorn draught and nectar,scrolls about the new medicals treatments from Camp Jupiter and a couple of gemstone. Nico is really happy that his sister took her time to gather all of this for Will,both aware that he would use everything for the infirmary.

They usually spend a small amount of days (2 weeks) during summer and winter travelling around,in tourist attractions,during the holidays. Their favorite locations are: Barcelona,Dublin,London,Amsterdam and Vienna,Rio de Janeiro and Laos. Nico's favorite is London,while Will prefer Amsterdam.

Hades doesn't really care about their relationship,he is just glad that his son found out someone that loved him and was going to stay with him. Apollo on the other hand visit his children on weekends and ask Will about his relationship. Will spend the time talking about the things they did during the week,while his dad listen. Nico doesn't know anything about this.

Naomi has a neutral opinion on Nico,she doesn't know him that much since her son visit her only a couple of times,but he is a great kid. And if he is the one her son choose,then it's mean the boy is a good and sweet person. She never had the time to full get to know him unfortunately,but trusted her son judgment and was supportive. Persephone on the other hand,asks Nico about his relationship and gave him advices when it cames to certain issues. She is supportive of them,but sometimes embarrass Nico with her suggestions.

Once they will go out of Camp Half-blood they will buy an apartment in a nice and calm city. With Nico's infinite credit cards they won't have economic problems so Will can apply into college or university there,with a medical course,because he wanst to be a surgeon. Nico,on the other hand,prefer to continue working for his dad.

solangelo headcanons part 11!

Will, as child of Apollo, is as scared of snakes as children of Athena are scared of spiders. He absolutely PANICS.

Nico is very protective of his boyfriend and his instincts always make him grab Will or cover Will with his body whenever some danger occurs.

Once Apollo visited camp and Nico didn’t know about it. He mistook Apollo for Will and he threw his arms around Apollo’s neck. Nico had never been this embarrassed before (Apollo didn’t even realize that this was a mistake).

Will is always mentioned by campers as #1 example of demigods taking after their godly parents. He’s VERY similar to his father. And everyone at CHB knows that the Naomi Solace is ginger, not blond. So him taking after Apollo is very obvious and visible especially that Apollo shows up at camp way more often than other gods.

Nico on the other hand doesn’t seem to inherit any features from his godly parent, as Maria di Angelo also had dark hair and dark eyes, just like Hades. His face also doesn’t evoke associations with his father.

Nico does speak the venetian language (dialect), and he’s as natural with it as with italian, so he’s referring to english as his 3rd language!

a bunch of solangelo working at the infirmary headcanons because i am a jester and I am here to give enrichment to the people

- They can’t help themselves when there is a chance in sight to be little shits together. Sometimes a patient - almost always an Ares kid - will be stubborn and go “You know, theres is no need for all those meh and bleh about a bunch of dumb stitches. I know the drill. I am strong. It won’t open up with some fights.”

And immediately Will is gonna go “Actually, there is something called the Interior Opportunity Wound Sydrome. You think your wound is healed and then, baam! In the middle of a fight, your arm fails. It doesn’t show or even hurt that much. Just makes you lose control. My great, great uncle ended up shooting himself like that. His last good knee. Rest in peace.”

And Nico would go without missing a beat. “At the Lotus Hotel, there was this incredible pro-player of dance dance revolution… The wound was on his legs. It was a Lady Gaga song. Bad Romance… Well. Let’s just say he didn’t make to the last Rah-Rah-Roma-Roma-ma.”

And they would go with those lies, making them bigger and bigger until someone hit them with a “Are you freaking fucking with me right now?” (And it’s probably Drew Tanaka hitting them. She doesn’t have patience for whatever is going on with those “weirdos mating rituals” of them)

- Since the infirmary is at the big house, sometimes they simply don’t go back to their cabins and stay there. But they don’t go to any of the rooms too.

They get cramped in this little balcony, relying on the curtains and the fact that no one looks there to just… Stay. Breathe. Whatever. Will used to be alone there because he couldn’t sleep facing the emptiness of the Apolo cabin after the battle of manhattan. It had slowly become a habit. Now, he lays at Nico’s thighs. Sometimes Nico teaches him italian words. Sometimes he asks things about Will’s childhood. Other times they eat fruits. Others they experiment with new foods. They always fall asleep on the floor, with Nico on Will’s chest. Will needs to hold Nico and keep him there. And Nico needs to hear Will’s heartbeat so he knows he’s alive.

- Angst and Sufjan Stevens songs aside, they can’t see anyone but each other even in a room full of people. So they make games and bets the whole day of work.

A random day, Will says that every time someone walks in with a led sneaker, the first one who says “led” to the other will make a point. At the end of the day, the one with more points will be the winner. By the end, Nico kisses Will to shut him and get advantage. Kayla sees it and throws her led sneaker right in the middle of their faces. It lights pink.

- On public displays of affection. They usually keep to themselves. A place full of antiseptic and needles isn’t the most romantic. Drew says they “reek of love” doesn’t matter what they do and sneezes more than once in front of them. Kayla says they sometimes “eyefuck too much” and it’s nasty. On calm days, Austin picks up a guitar and plays whatever his spirit tells him. That is how they end up waltzing to acoustic versions of Britney Spears.

- On private displays of affections. Will has a personal office. (It is actually just where they keep some paperwork. But there is a table, a chair and he does his homeschooling work there, no one else is fighting for that place). Abusing of his boyfriend privileges, Nico sits on Will’s lap like a giant black cat and takes the longest naps in the world there. Will says that this is probably what it’s protecting him for early grey hair. And pinches him when he tries to put his foot on the table. Taking out his last hypothesis.

- Will is used to be called “head medic” or “doctor” or “the infirmary guy” but Nico is definitely not buying being called “Will’s nurse” or “doctor’s secretary”. But Cecil tells him it could be way worse. Himself is an example. Years there and even after getting ‘holding medical stuff privileges’ he is forever stuck as the “Broom Guy”). Nico still complains. Lou Ellen tells that if he was so annoyed by being perceived as belonging to Will, he should stop walking around in his sweaters. Nico stops complaining.

- The younger campers with creep and dark-lord emo tendencies are the ones that love Will the most. Which is amazing. They talk mostly about their interests. Like history and how to properly hide a body. Sometimes they bring lovely presents like a piece of jewelry made with dead insects. Will cherish everything. However, following the pattern, the kids who usually jump onto Nico are the ones with the most gentle and summer time with ice cream vibes emanating from them.

The problem is that they don’t bring nice presents. They are mischievous. Little demons. One “please, I am so bored!” And sad little eyes and Nico is agreeing with painted nails, braids, tea parties and, gods help, monitoring arts and crafts.

- Since Nico does not deep socialize with anyone, everyone seems to think he is the perfect person ever to hold a secret. Nico, however, can’t battle against his impulse to sit down, drink coffee and immediately start gossiping with his boyfriend. And while he only tells secrets to Will, the walls on the infirmary are pretty thin. For the good or the bad the information is always delivered slightly wrong.

Once, Nico said to Will that Sherman Yang had a fight with his girlfriend Miranda Gardiner. In the general public, the news was that Sherman would fight Miranda in the front of everyone.

He didn’t’. Instead, Sherman stood on top of a table at lunch, ripped off his shirt, howled, and screamed from the top of his lungs he would never hurt the woman he loved. Miranda forgave him for whatever they had fought before. Nico wanted to puke. Will was shaking from the laugh he was holding. Kayla looked at them and said “They are exactly like you two.”

“Will would have been better. He would have taken his pants off too.” Said Austin, very serious. Nico thought he was going to die right there. Will didn’t denied the allegations and laughed until he cried.

The Rose Lens of Percabeth

Instagram and Twitter would have you believe that Percabeth is the true definition of love and romance. All you see in the fandom is cute fan art of them and quotes from passages from the books. Now, that's not a bad thing, but they never bring up the toxicity or flaws of the ship. If anything, when someone actually does, they're lambasted by percabeth stans until they either delete their post, private their ACC, or delete altogether. It's sad and worrisome.

Anyways, you would never believe these two are water and electricity. You would never think how mean Annabeth is to Percy or how Percy is OOC because no one brings it up. Even in some Reddit places, when it is brought up, it's met with backlash.

Hell, I never really see fan art or posts of Annabeth giving to Percy. It's almost always Percy sacrificing and protecting Annabeth. I only see it when they're defending Annabeth from criticism. 'Annabeth cares about Percy! She took a bullet for him!' 'She was worried for and loves him, only focused on him when the world was in shambles.' Yes, I do think Annabeth cares for Percy, but I don't think she actually accepts him. The fact Percy believes he has to change himself to be her 'perfect' boyfriend rubs me the wrong way. There's nothing wrong with self-improvement and wanting to impress someone, but from what I see and hear, he's stressing himself over it. It also doesn't give her the excuse to treat Percy like that. Once again, I love ships that have banter and aren't always 'sweet,' but they're never to a point where they actually want to hurt each other. Teasing =/= being mean. Annabeth does these things out of malice and annoyance, but these stans would have you believe she's joking or teasing.

My point, you never see the toxicity ever discussed within these platforms. I feel people don't know or care, and that's equally as sad. Like I said, I came across a fanart of people praising Annabeth for judo flipping Percy and hurting him, calling him dumb, and Seaweed Brain, even though Percy isn't confident in his intelligence.

PJO Solangelo fanfiction idea: failed shovel talk

While being mortal Apollo tries to bond with kids and act a bit more like a father to them. He gets the great idea to have the typical father/boyfriend conversation with Nico. He wants to make sure that Nico knows not to mess with Will. Nico catches on really quickly and when Apollo atempts to intimidate him in this "scary-protective-dad way" Nico stabs his sword into the ground, sits down surrounded by shadows and skeletons and raisen an eyebrown in challange. As if saying: come on, try to scare me. I DARE YOU.

When Will finds out he is mortified but can't help but giggle a bit every time Apollo glances at Nico with a look of fear.

As soon as Will found out Nico spoke Italian, he immediately went and learned some, and then surprised him

Or, Will speaks Italian because it’s the language of music (just like Piper can speak French because it’s the language of love), and Nico was ranting about losing Capture the Flag to Clarisse. 

He was speaking rapid fire Italian, and Will just came over, and said: "Va tutto bene, amore mio. Calmati. Unisciti alla prossima volta?”

(“It’s okay, my love. Calm down. Team up next time?”)

Nico didn’t know how to ask Will out so he just came up to him and said “Me. You. Tonight. At seven. Be there” and left. 

Will just stood there looking stunned, then went back to his cabin and partied.

Will would totally initiate random lightsaber fights. Like he would attack his siblings all the time just...out of nowhere (it's the ADHD).

Kayla would roll her eyes and threaten to snap the saber in half. Austin would play along and fall to the floor and dramatically die.

But the first person to actually fight back was Nico, who secretly has his own lightsaber hidden in the shadows. And he would disarm Will in some sort of fancy move that would leave Will stuttering and blushing because it was hot.

So after the sun and the star Nico and Will would have some alone time together right? because othe camper went home or new rome so Will and nico would have some alone time for a bit before heading to new rome in the court of the dead. Imagien them a sitting together in the sun set or some thing enjoying each other comapny don't need to talk much just be together is enough for them to relax and take a break from the quest then Apollo just suddenly show up out of no where because he just heard that they went to turtarus and back without telling him.

Will: AHHHH DAD!?

Apollo: how DARE you go to that place without telling me I've been worry sick!

Will: but DAD! it's a quest! and I need to protect my boyfriend!

Maybe im late to do this

But I'm bored, so come with me to my rambling about my personal opinion towards some of Nico di Angelo ships and Rating each one

(Disclaimer: Nothing here goes with intention of offend someone,i always try to be respectful but if something that i say here sounds rude, feel free to tell, I never notice how bad can sound something until someone else points it out)

-Percico/ Nicerci 4/10

Honestly i admire the people that ship this and doesn't give a fuck about what other people say, some of the fan artist and writers make things soo good that should be in a museum

But it's not my personal liking, i only like this when its the exploration of Nico's unrequited crush on Percy , but i honestly I never liked when Nico and Percy had a 100% good relationship of any kind, because their dynamic is complicated at best ( i could talk about it for hours while im probably crying because both are pretty dear to me) and i prefer to think that now their are just "neutral" to each other ( see that part of my description that says "bittersweet relationships sucker" this is why is there) and all that extends to that i cant see these two in a romantic relationship

But that's all, is just not my personal liking, i don't mind the existence of this couple and once again, the people that makes content from them are really talented an deserve all my respect, you guys always come out with the best ideas for angst and i love that of all of you

They're Cute!! Honestly i don't have my own ideas for them but the Romantic content of these two 90% of the times it's good and i enjoy it ,I really value their friendship more that any other dynamic so i prefer them in a platonic way,but that doesn't mean that i don't get the vision, they really had potential and the people out there are using it

-Solangelo 5/10 or 11/10

The two rates exist because i honestly feel they relationship in canon as one of the worst ways that existed to make them a couple, it's obvious that they are supposed to be something cute and healthy, but all their development is out of screen and then they are just introduced as a couple when Apollo and meg made it to camp, some of their scenes leave me feeling that Nico is out of characters and also in order to give Will the rol of "protective boyfriend" Nico feels quite weak and Will doesn't get many chances of get out that role for being his own character, and he had a lot o potential

(And I'm not be talking about TsatS because is just all the fails of their relationship but multiplied by 1000, ooc, plot holes and toxic traits all around, it's not that bad as a read, but as canon content it is)

But as the saying goes "if you want something done right, do it yourself"

And that's exactly what I do with them, because in this housedhold we don't tolerate wasted potential of any kind, and they relationship deserved better , because honestly the things we know about them and their individual personalities just feels as a good mach and even if the things wouldn't be perfect, no couple it's at the start so it's ok

I also like them in a platonic way, but i think that just like i appreciate more platonic jason and Nico because that how i was introduced to them i lead more towards see them in a romantic one

So Canon gets 5/10 because " it's the tough that counts" ig?

And 11/10 goes for what they could have been ,should be in canon and are in my mind

I know, it's a rare ship, but They can be interesting on any kind of relationship and why not make it romantic?? there's a lot of dynamics of where to chose and the alternative AUs that i see of them are great,Cthonic demigod X Cthonic demigod is a good base, I don't have much to say apart from that

Not a bad ship ig, i just don't see them as a couple and I don't even now why, i just can't see it , and i also have a pretty strong headcanon of Leo as aromantic so its hard for me to see him in Romantic relationships, but i have nothing against it so that's all

Another rare ship, one that I've seen around but honestly don't have a a lot to say, i like the little that we see from Clovis and i always like the Cthonic demigod X Cthonic demigod so 7/10 just due the lack of content

Solangelo: and how they feel about cute couple stuff (Pt. 1)

Ok Will is definitely on board for holding hands whenever and wherever, because it just shows everyone that the two of them are together and in a relationship. Will isn't easily jealous and all that but whenever he gets the chance he will shove it in everyone's face that he is dating THE Nico Di Angelo 😭. (But of course our respectful sunshine solace will only hold hands if the other party is ok with it. So it'll start like grabbing Nico's pinky or smth and if the other pulls away then he'd respect that. If not then he'd interlace their fingers together and smile like an absolute loser.)

Nico :((( ok I think anything PDA in general he isn't really on board with (y'all know why already) and he probably feels guilty whenever he pulls away from Will and HDIDBFIEJ MY POOR BOY TT. but don't worry he makes up for that in private. But when he gains confidence he definitely would agree to holding hands whenever they're with a small group of people. (Will almost died once because he actually initiated the hand holding.)

Cuddling

If there's one thing Will loves after a long day of working and healing it's definitely cuddling. He's super clingy especially when he's sleep deprived and tired. Will literally just jump in the other's arms as soon as he has a break from the clinic (coffee who? You only need your cute emo boyfriend in this life). Sometimes it's just quiet between the two of them, like a peaceful kind of silence. Sometimes they talk about each other's days, and random topics that come into mind. But it always manages to give Will his energy back. Neck, he definitely like snuggling into the others neck the most and giving it small soft kisses. (AGHHDHSHEHS we love the touch starved idiots)

Nico, yes yes and yes to cuddling. Though he likes to deny it everytime the other teases him about it. He likes the fact that he's the first person Will goes to too seek energy. Clingy Will is his favorite (don't tell Will that though). He likes putting his arms around the blonde like he's protecting him, and he's always super gentle. Also yes combing the others unruly mess of blonde hair. I feel like he realizes how much he likes this man during one of their cuddle session, it's just Will acting clingy and complaining about the Stolls once more and it just clicks to Nico that 'oh wow I want to spend the rest of my life with this person.'

Oh you can't do that to poor Will without a warning, he'd just see Nico in his shirt or hoodie and then he's reduced to a coughing mess. Though he tries (and fails) to act cool about it. Seeing Nico in his clothes makes his heart melt and his mood brighten. Like they could be having a fight or squabble, and Nico would be wearing his hoodie and the only thing Will could focus on is that. 'oh my Gods he's wearing my hoodie', 'why does he look good?!' 'no you should be mad at him' 'put your mad face on damnit!' 'oh fudje it'.

Ok but Nico knows wearing the other's clothes drives the blonde to the bring of Insanity. That's why he does it. He'll play innocent of course as if he doesn't know the effect it has on his boyfriend TT. He picks the biggest ones because they're the most comfiest and warm. Props because it smells like Will too. Nico 'wears Wills oversized hoodies to fuck with him' Di Angelo. Oh but Will does borrow Nico's band t-shirts, the tables are definitely turned and now he's the flustered mess.

Forehead kisses

Yes. He's tall. Nico's short. He loves this so much. He loves that Nico is the perfect height to give forehead kisses too. Yes it's to show his affection but it's also him teasing the other boy in a way. At random times of the day when there aren't many campers around he'd just give Nico forehead kisses randomly, and the other is always an angry flustered mess after them. But maybe like a few years into their relationship Nick gets used to it, to the point that when Will does that he just gives him a look and continues to talk about whatever he was saying before he was so *rudely* interrupted. My guys not even surprised anymore.

-parallel between percy and annabeth standing/sitting back to back in tartarus when they finally can rest bc they have each others backs to nico and will in tsats fighting back to back bc they've both been stabbed in the back enough already

Solangelo type of dynamic trope

Ok. It's time. Honestly? I've been waiting to post this. I thought I should have read all of ToA before doing so since I could have a better insight of them,but since someone told me that Solangelo is only present in the first and last book,I decided to not wait anymore. Because now I'm pissed about the lack of Will (and Nico) in a serie centred about Apollo and how I never got a bonding moment between them. I'm going to write it on my own,trust me.

Anyway,I saw a couple of people commenting how Solangelo isn't a healthy ship because Will is Nico's doctor and there is a powerplay here. Now,if you are familiar with romance in general,one of the main trope you can find (especially when it cames to fanfictions) is usually the CEO × secretary,where the CEO is in a superior position than the secretary that work for them. They are a figure of authority. There are a lot but this is the most common one and one of the most populars. Solangelo romantic trope technically belong to the same category.

Technically.

Because Will Solace isn't a real doctor.

You heard that right. Will isn't a real doctor,he is an healer,not a doctor. And,other than this difference,is the fact that Will is a teenager that needs to take care of the other campers because he is the only one that can do so. The Apollo Cabin is half dead,there are Kayla,Austin and Will,and Will is the only one right now that can heal someone since his siblings are more in tune with Apollo's other domains.

Will isn't a doctor,he never went to school to get a doctorate in medicine,and he never formally studied to pursue a medical career. Will gets called a doctor because even tho he is an healer,he needs to do everything (cure someone from poison,reattach limbs,give a remedy for fever,extract daggers/arrows/bullets and bandage the wounded,etc...) so calling him just as a healer is too little,since he is one man army when it came to medicine. That's why he is called a doctor. But formally? He isn't.

He is a traumatized teenager with a savior complex,a lot of self-esteem issues,high levels of stress,probably got a caffeine addiction too,with a healing power and acknowledge that keep alive a lot of other traumatized teenagers. Will is a doctor because they only have him,because there aren't real doctors at camp and older demigods are a miracle. Because he is the only one left,after the war against Kronos,that can heal them. Which is depressing by the way-

Where is the powerplay at? Will should be a figure of authority towards Nico right? Should be someone that,if he want,can mess up with his boyfriend health by giving him a bad prescription,right? Here the thing: Will has not that type of authority.

Their romance trope is in that category,but it's completely different. A CEO can fire its secretary (and it's usually happen in romance books/fanfictions) for a mistake. A teacher can give bad grade to their students if they argued. A boss can do what they want with their employees's works if they are in the mood. I can go on and on about this type of dynamic: you name it I got it.

There is also the age difference here. The figure of authority in the relationship is always a couple of years older than the one that stay under them. And that's only for normal romance tropes,if we take in consideration dark romance too....well....then the relationship are a lot mess up,from both ages and dynamics,but we are not cofusing on that.

Solangelo doesn't fall in any of this because Will doesn't have the authority to do anything. He and Nico are both teenagers that are trying to live without dying (or almost). Will himself is a person that would never use his "leverage" to hurt Nico or damage him or someone else. And Nico isn't stupid,he know that if something goes south he can protect himself. But it won't happen. Because they do not fall in that stereotype of powerplay dynamic.

Also,Nico literally used Will position as a doctor to have more leverage,and be more with him. The "mood disorder" is just a cover so he can spend more time with Will,eat with him (he also probably didn't want to eat alone because of the tables rule) and doing activities with him. He used the "doctor note" excuse to make his way into Apollo's plan because he didn't want to let Will alone because he was worried. If you need to worry about someone in this dynamic it's Nico di Angelo,not Will Solace.

If you need to pick a bone with this ship you can do better and try to make them look unhealthy because of their trope dynamic. They aren't that. And there are probably more other things you can talk about to disagree with their ship,but hating on Doctor × patient type of ship,when there are a lot of those everywhere,is stupid.

For a mortal, this might not mean anything—nightmares suddenly gone, sweet nights wrapped them in the warmth of the sheets—but for a demigod, dreams are the bridge that connects them between the mortal and immortal worlds, an annoying bell that keeps them constantly on alert, and without those to disturb their nights, it was like losing their compass. But not everyone is without dreams, if "dream" this can be called, one is still allowed to travel in the dream world, perhaps out of pity and compassion of the Fates.

Jason is dead.

NICO KEPT REPEATING IT TO HIMSELF, UNABLE TO STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. It was all absurd, he kept telling himself it must be a dream –another nightmare– that he had passed out in the arena and Will had taken him to the infirmary, and now he was still dreaming. He couldn't be dead, not in such a gruesome way as he had dreamed: marked by all those wounds that would have brought anyone to their knees, while he continued to fight like a true hero. At that thought, more tears began to streak his face. Will continued to hold him, protecting him in his arms, stroking his hair. Nico wanted to disappear instantly from there, to run away somewhere, but he remembered he couldn't do that, he couldn't bear the thought of Will despairing because of him.

Slowly, Nico stood up, helped by his boyfriend who continued to support him. The son of Hades felt no strength in his body anymore, actually, he felt nothing but pain. Will told him they needed to go to Chiron, that he would want to see him. Nico said nothing, he simply let himself be guided.

At the camp, everyone had stopped, no one dared to do anything after that devastating shock that had also spread outside the arena. Half of the camp had heard that vibration, coming out terrified from the cabins as if they could collapse at any moment. They knew who was responsible for it all. Nico felt the eyes of the other demigods on him, who had come out to see him, trying to understand what had happened, to know why he had almost wanted the earth to split in half suddenly.

Some of the demigods began to mutter about his battered appearance, whispering among themselves without being able to look away. The boy had no idea how horrible he might look to the campers who were staring at him curiously, but he didn't care. Nothing mattered anymore now that Jason was gone. The tears stopped falling at some point. It was too much pain for one body to bear.

Among them, curious murmurs arose, and words were flowing like a river from the lips of the campers, enveloping the two boys who were heading to the Big House. Will felt overwhelmed by having everyone's eyes on him, talking about things they didn't understand and laughing among themselves At those words, the son of Apollo turned to them, ready to confront them and shout at everyone present to go back to what they were doing; the show was over, there was nothing more to see. Nico, as if he had sensed his actions, put a hand on his arm. "Will" he spoke with a subdued voice, unable to lift his gaze. "Let them talk, I don't care" Nico knew he would never be welcome at that camp, and those dark gazes were reminding him of it. He knew he wasn't the only one there with one of the Big Three as a parent, yet everyone looked at him with a strange fear, as if the same shadows cast by the demigods seemed to want to move away from their owners, fleeing to take shelter elsewhere. At that moment, it was hard for him to hold back his power; maybe he wasn't even aware that he was still emanating that destructive force that had almost leveled the arena.

Will simply nodded at his request, putting an arm around his back, enveloping and protecting him from prying eyes.

Together they entered the doors of the Big House, where Chiron was waiting for them seated in his magical wheelchair. Will helped Nico sit down, sitting beside him, not letting go of his hand for a second.

"What happened, my child?" Chiron asked gently, encouraging him to tell him what had happened.

"I'm sorry" he apologized, unable to look into those ancient eyes. "Jason is..." the words choked in his throat, he squeezed his boyfriend's hand, having him close gave him the strength not to cry.

The centaur didn't speak, letting Nico take all the time he needed to explain what had happened at the arena that afternoon. Nico's breath trembled, he couldn't get out those harsh words that were drying up his throat.

"Chiron" he raised his gaze, it couldn't be said for sure if he was looking at the teacher or if he was still lost in looking at the souls, those eyes chilled the blood of both present in that room. "Jason is dead" those words he had held back for so long were like a stab.

A black veil descended in that room, no one spoke anymore, those were the last words heard for many minutes. Nico closed his eyes, distancing himself definitively from his father's realm; when he opened them, he looked at Chiron seriously, also telling him about the dreams he had during those days. "I can't leave him without seeing him one last time, Chiron" the centaur stroked his beard, thoughtful about what the boy was asking him.

"I should give you permission to leave the camp" the centaur thought aloud, looking with his deep, old eyes at Nico's face, which was slowly stiffening. "In a moment of tension like this, it wouldn't be wise to leave these boundaries"

Nico frowned, he knew better than anyone else that innocent blood was being shed out there, that the best choice was to stay at the camp and train, but how could he stay idle when his friend had died to surely save Apollo and ensure the mission continued?

"I will leave. With or without your permission, you can't stop me" everyone in that room knew it was true; he could disappear even at that moment. Nico just wanted to inform him of his decision. "Hey, wait! If you're leaving, I'm coming too" Will exclaimed, looking scared into Nico's eyes, almost fearing he would leave him.

"Will..." he was about to stop him, but the boy was faster. "No, listen to me! You always think you're alone, that you have to rely only on your own strength, that others can't understand you in any way, but that was before, now you have people who care about you and love you. I love you, Nico" he said all at once, tears starting to prick his eyes. "And I won't let you go without me" he forced himself to adopt a stern expression, the same one he used in the infirmary when he told the children of Ares to behave and stay quiet on the cot.

Nico blushed, both out of embarrassment and because in that outburst of anger he had forgotten about Will. He was right, he couldn't –nor did he want to– leave him.

He sighed weakly, in the end, the ultimate decision belonged to Chiron. "I suppose there's a reason the Fates showed up" the centaur's tone was frighteningly calm, as if he were pondering what the boy had told him about those dreams. He was a son of Hades after all; the thing shouldn't even surprise him, but there was a thought nagging at him. "You have my permission to leave the camp" he stared at Nico's impassive face, convinced that he too was having the same thought as he was.

"Thank you, Chiron" the son of Hades lifted his lips into a smile. "Are you sure you want to come too?" he turned to his boyfriend, hoping he would say no, but Will smiled challengingly. "I told you, you're not alone anymore" he said, touching Nico's hand with a kiss, not even wanting to leave him.

The son of Hades sighed, but he was happy to have Will by his side. Whatever happened at Camp Jupiter, they would face it together.

They both thanked Chiron, leaving the Big House. The centaur watched the two boys, happy walking towards the camp and without waiting any longer, he brought three clawed fingers to his heart and, sighing, pushed them out.

The next day, Will and Nico would leave for New Rome.

It's Sally. She is totally a survivor. She has to worry many times about her demigod son, who doesn't live for a long time. Despite being a human, she is not afraid to face a god or monster to protect or save her son.

2. Rachel

If People hate her, so I like. She is really amazing on her way. She is nice and kind to everyone else, especially to Percy. She is so much better than another girl that doesn't care to be rude to other people, even her boyfriend. Rachel is a special human since she is an oracle. Despite not being a demigod, she is not afraid to face monsters or gods either. She is really a person that has to deal with many visisons and possible nightmares in her head. For me, she is still the best option for Percy. The most healthy one.

3. Clarisse

Totally a badass. Even though she is a bully, I guess she got a little better over the years. Except maybe for her dad, Clarisse is also not afraid to face any god or monster, even without her weapons. If she has to fight using only her hands, she will. Annabeth is not the only smart girl in pjo, Clarisse is still smart and strong. I guess she can understand about battle strategies since her father is the god of war. Clarisse is a survivor too. She survived with zombies (I don't remember what they were) and went to rescue Chris all by herself (If I'm not mistaken).

4. Hazel

I don't know much about Hazel since I didn't read HOO (I can't even remember much from PJO either), but from I saw people commenting, she seems a nice and kind girl that may have suffered a lot in the past. Just like Nico, I think she is also stuck in time?

5. Silena

She seems really kind and nice. Unfortunately, the girl was manipulated...but in the end became a heroine. Her mother Aphrodite also looks pretty awesome!Like mother, like daughter!

6. Thalia

She is not one of my favourite characters, but she seems the kind of person that would save the world at any costs even if she had to sacrifice her own family and friends. She wouldn't let emotions take control over her. Not only her, but also Artemis and the other hunters.

7. Meg:

She seems pretty smart and cool! I like that she was the only one (from what I could see) that chose stay by Apollo's side even with his arrogance. I think she always saw that he wasn't so bad after all.

8. Persephone

So sweet and kind. I guess she would be Solangelo number 1 fan. She likes them. I think she may see Nico as her own son. She always tries to be friendly to others, which is good because she can kind teach Hades to be more gentle with others. She is really a good influence for him.

9. Demeter

This goddess can be a little scary sometimes, but I understand that she worries about her daughter in the underwold. It's so nice to see Demeter tolerating Hades because of Persephone.

10. Juniper

I don't remember about this character (I'm not reading the books anymore), but from I can see she is the romantic partner for Grover if I'm not mistaken. She seems nice and sweet. I think they would make a cute pair.
