I have SO many frames that are just. Ganondorf's insane eyeliner game.

(It's the "drawing eyes in the corner of my highschool notebook" part of me rearing its ugly head I suppose u_u tho actually it's not just for that there's a thematic reason, but also his eyes are insanely fun to draw and drawing eyes mean not drawing anything else so that's a win win in my book babeyyy!!!)

objectively hilarious that vivinos's youtube channel is basically build on yuri horror/angst content (its basically almost always two girls killing or dying in the most fucked up ways possible) but the first time a video centered on guys is made (cherry bitch club) its literally just fanservice. yeah flip those conventions LOL

I like showing my friends progress of whatever I'm working on and then just skittering off because I have responsibilities I have to take care of.

Like, I'll be on my break and working on something and take a picture to send my friends before going back to work because my break is over. Or I'm working on priming/painting these Bad Batch Loth Cats and I'll just send them progress photos before skittering off to make dinner or take care of my laundry

Most recently it's been these small simplish landscape painting sketches for a set of five! Totally for fun, as pretty much 95% of my projects are lol

i already know what the story behind the picture is but please explain it anyway we need to educate the masses

oh my god thank you for enabling me ive been thinking about this all day. regarding this post i made yesterday and this classic image (which i actually just found out was posted seven years ago today!)

basically as can be read in the post at BigFest in 2016 somebody had what i believe was a fan-made prop based on the laptop from season 2 of gravity falls. alex hirsch attended this convention and decided to type in the password to the laptop. we never learned the password in the show so lots of people were excited to find out!

a HUGE thing to note here is that journal 3 was still months away from releasing and in fact while a couple pages had been released as promotional material it was still being worked on until, like... gosh i wanna say may is when they finally started printing it? don't quote me on that though my point is that this was all taking place pre-journal 3 and, therefore, many fans were still operating under the (sensible) impression that the laptop which

had been designed by fiddleford

had been built by fiddleford

had fiddleford's name on it

said "PROPERTY OF F" on it (at this point it had been established through promo images that "F" referred to fiddleford)

was assumed to be fiddleford's by, like, four different main characters

was given to and used by fiddleford following s2e7

fiddleford presumably knew the password to

would also belong to fiddleford. right? i mean logically. logically, guys.

so when alex hirsch revealed that the password had been "STANFORD" all along, people thought that was a little bit... well

of course, a couple months later journal 3 would be published and it would say that the laptop had actually been STANFORD'S, not fiddleford's, and that he had made the password his own name. so technically i lied in my earlier post, there IS a heterosexual explanation for this, but imo it's still bullshit. like sorry i don't believe for a fucking second that stanford "i need to encode all of my messages in multiple ciphers and write in invisible ink" pines would ever make a password as simple as his own name. he wouldve picked like something with six different layers of alternate meanings and also put it through atbash at the VERY least. also as i listed above there is a LOT of evidence which would support the laptop belonging to fiddleford, as opposed to ford, which has this random retcon (and like... some of the computer keys are different colors? i guess?? idk that bit was stupid) as its only supporting evidence.

my theory is that, while writing the show, alex and the other writers had intended for the laptop to belong to fiddleford, but for whatever reason, when they were writing the book, they decided to make it ford's instead. i want to make clear that i DON'T think this swap was motivated by homophobia, or as a reaction to seeing people interpret the password in a gay way. by the time that this photo was taken several promotional journal pages had been released, so it's safe to say that even if they were still adding the finishing touches to the book, it was pretty much in its final stage and in fact might have already started printing (i think the first photos we see of the book itself were posted like a week or two after bigfest). so to assume that there's a correlation there is both unfounded and extremely unlikely.

not gonna lie the idea of an oc incarnation is extra appealing because, at least to me, 13-14-15 seem to have this tangible character continuation whereas 12 feels so isolated at times so I'd love to have a 13 that's a more direct continuation

There is no way I will EVER believe Dean Winchester was supposed to say, "and I you." There's no way they would've written the line that way even if it HAD been written. It's so grammatically awkward out of his mouth that it makes me laugh when I see it. I'm not against the ship, but the delusion about 15x18 is unending.

honestly...yeah. i have to agree with this. it's a strange and somewhat awkward line of dialogue anyway but it is a super strange line of dialogue to attempt to give, of all people, dean winchester.

listen, i am not anti d*stiel. i'm at the point where i have no strong feelings either way for the ship itself. it mostly just makes me feel a bit bored. i believe cas was definitely in love with dean. i believed that long before he said it out loud. it was pretty obvious. i think there are different ways to interpret dean's feelings - and yes, one of those ways is that he was in love with him too. it's very possible. ultimately i just don't care enough to put any real work or feelings into that ship in any way.

but dean would not have said that.

it is so stunningly out of character that i'm genuinely boggled as to how so many people are just like ''oh good. now we have confirmation. this sounds right. this is a fact now.''

if people want to believe dean reciprocates, i get that. of course people prefer their ship to be a mutual thing. i totally understand that. i have zero problem with that. but there's just. no way dean winchester would have said it in that specific way. unless he was very suddenly and momentarily possessed by the ghost of an old english gentleman.

which, to be fair, does sound like the kind of thing that would happen to him, but that would be a weird time for it to happen.

and i do want to add (and forgive me if im wrong about this one, havent watched the movie in a while) that ice pick joe, the guy that KILLS PEOPLE WITH A TOOL USED FOR BREAKING ICE, does not kill a SINGLE russian in the movie; his only victim, Amarro Fiamberti, was an italian, and several of the other characters he's mentioned to have killed were also italian. it's a bit of an on-the-nose metaphor but i always thought it was a nice touch

why did you people come up with russian names for what is supposed to be a movie set in italy. what was the thought process here. why does she sound like she walked out of a tolstoy novel

...Sometimes i wonder what people think of my flippancy with gender, especially when it comes to fic. Even if it is half a byproduct of my social isolation as a kid and people trying to feed me weird dumbass opinions that were both A. the social norm and B. Me having dealt with my mother long enough that when it came to socially performative acts like 'gotta act like XYZ gender because you are one' i openly told people that 'if it matters so much then dont give me a gender' and... Well, in hindsight maybe i was way more of a little weirdo than i thought for a seven year old.

So sometimes it just leads me to switching up characters genders on a whim. (in 99% of cases i either feel it would be interesting to see how the specific angle of a thing will play out if i change that specific detail and how the character may shift as a result, or i decide on whim to just roll with it. Other times its just funny, for reasons...but depending on the character will depend on why. It is almost never done for horny reasons specifically and even then they are usually a byproduct of whatever the AU swimming around in my head was and the smutty bit just came way later down the line.)
