"No thank you! My sword is just fine for the job!" Only just a bit unwieldly, being a claymore. Still, the blade slices through the thick exterior of the squid, directly though the ink sac.

Just before it can all spray into his face, he simply raises a palm to stop the liquid substance in the air. It's awkward for him to manipulate, certainly no elegance to it, but he drops his sword to pull out a bottle with his other hand to slowly direct the ink into.

Well, the voice was behind him but it also sounded far above him. Shade was a little too good at sneaking up on people considering how large he was. You could thank the teleporting. It really was a bad habit though. He just likes to be dramatic.

"Is that a tail you have there?"
