Really. I don't think you accurately understand how far I am willing to go for your game to happen.

oh my god hello this is such a kind and exciting offer. my friend i would absolutely love to take you up on this but i have to tell you my career/personal life has been in full bullshit mode all year and so i cant in good conscience commit myself to any collaborative projects right now (my most heartfelt and ashamed apology to my friends seeing this to whom i tried to commit myself for a collaborative project and then just keep disappearing into the wind)

HOWEVER please let me know if you'd be happy for me to theoretically tap you on the shoulder at some indiscriminate point in the future if i ever get more of that case dreamed up and i have some more time (and of course this commits you to nothing and you are always free to say no forever into eternity). thank you so very much for offering. one day narumitsu wedding case will be real

I am working on just doing some organization in my office space, which clutters up terribly because I am a busy little clutterbug and I always tend to drop my shopping somewhere.

I spend most of my time in this room. I have a coffee & tea bar set up so a nice beverage is close at hand. It is my great comfort.

Sadly, the sf syrups tj maxx has been selling lately don't fit on my syrup shelf. But I think I found a way to store the unopened bottles- sideways like wine. I am a couple hours into this project and listening to the next Dresden Files book- Turn Coat. I love this series, & am listening to the audiobooks because James Marsters narrates them. It is mostly for comfort, since I have read them all before, but it does help keep me focused.

I am working on letting go of 2 of the metal to go cups I have been using. I bought them cheap at Walmart after my divorce and my move home to care for my Mom. They are well used and I love them. The plastic tops have cracked to splinters now tho, so it is time to let them go.

Behold- my new mugs. Yes, I paid full price. At TJ Maxx, but still---

Progress is being made but I am working in a very small area and it is painstaking work.

But it isn't aggravating my cold or lungs so.... here we go.

So I started gathering the tools and parts to replace the timing belt on my truck (there's several parts besides the timing belt that are usually replaced at the same time while you're there) and should have everything I need by next week. All I need after that is good weather. I'm thinking that I should look into replacing the valve cover gaskets as well since the engine is leaking oil and that's where it appears to be coming from:

That doesn't seem to terribly difficult or expensive to do but I'll need to remove part of the intake and probably the throttle body. Probably add a few hours to the job. While I'm doing the timing belt I think I'll replace the radiator and heater hoses as well as they're getting rather cracked. It's very old

Once I actually start I'll post up lots of pictures and maybe a couple videos as I'll be taking lots anyway to keep track of everything.

I'm following a guide I found online as well as a repair manual my dad bought years ago when he was working on the truck:

I've done some work on cars before but nothing like this so this should be... Fun!(Scary) I've done my research so I think it's doable, and as far as timing belt replacements go it seems like this is a pretty easy vehicle to do it on. The best way to learn is to jump right in, right?

Project Time!

So. We're moving! ...and there are so many repairs...

I've been excited about this all month, but we got hit with last-minute financial blows that took out our move-in repairs budget.

There's no way we can replace the broken fence right now ($15-25k!), so we need to patch the gaps to keep our pupper and the toddlebit from bolting into the ditch next door. And replacing the fragged driveway is a pipe dream, so we'll be filling the 30 years' worth of cracks. Because we need to finance replacing the 30-year-old HVAC o.o Before summer. In Georgia. Uh oh XD

We fortunately have enough to get electrical and plumbing repairs done, but that's it. So signal boosts, good vibes, and any help with the supplies here are super welcome. ♥

(I am currently adoring my new little staplegun. Thank you thank you thank you! My allergies are gonna destroy me but I can't wait to patch the fennnnnce.)
