Haven't done this in ages but it's tiiiime.

Because I now have a GPU capable of raytracing and I've gotten more familiar with ReShade. So,Vinnie had to go the hairdressers again and put on this ol' outfit.

From left to right

1. No mods, no lights

2. Texture mod, 1 additional light

3. 2 additional lights, custom pose + expression,texture mod (GeForce 970GTX)

4. 1 additional light, custom pose + expression, Raytracing + ReShade (AMD Radeon RX 6500) -> and the boi has some mods

For those who look extra close, yes, he has different tattoos in the current picture bc I'm seriously considering switching him to the Valentinos tattoos to reflect his history. But I'm not decided yet.

I think the difference between the 3rd and 4th one is actually not super visible in this format. Sure, on a big screen, you see the way better resolution and texture. But a lot depends on lighting. If I had toned down that one light in the third one, they would look even more similar, I think.

All of this to say, the PC is only half the magic max. People have asked me what GPU I used since the beginning, and yes, it was "only" a GeForce 970 -> the bare minimum for getting CP77 to run. I didn't use ReShade for the longest time, and even when I do, I use it mainly for light sharpening.

So this is kind of documenting my process that I also did in my real life photography -> getting to know the basic tools first, before introducing new tools, before upgrading gear.

And just to show off, good God, yes Raytracing makes a FUCKTON of difference, depending on setting. They all gotta stand in them puddles now, wet feeeeeet.

some clarifications/intricacies about the type of person she is:

Knows a fuck ton about Tensura lore, ins and outs of the system (like how to gain skills, how different elements interact with each other, the such) and abuses it to her advantage in battles because, despite having stolen less than a quarter of The primordial red's base power, she is STILL considered on the weaker side of the primordials.

Magicule wise, she's also not at all worth looking at.

But, she makes it up in other ways. Her computional speed is a FUCK ton faster than ANY of the primordials. Instant casts of spells (think something like barely any wind up), analysation of weaknesses, and counter measures againts an opponent's advantage over her. All possible with her special sort of "mind acceleration" <3

How? Her skill, of course! Unique skill: Fount of Knowledge; grants the user the ability to always correctly recall pieces of information they had discovered once before, and process data in it's most basic and rawest form.

She's a researcher at heart and had loved the Tensura world and it's rules long before she had been reincarnated. Due to this, it was only natural she was able to gain such a skill <3

You might be thinking: whoah! shes a LOT like dazai. do you have something to say for yourself? and i am HERE TO TELL YOU THAT NOOO shes NOT

i swear.

She's Smart but not THAT smart . She's not the first person you'd think of when manipulation comes to mind but she DOES change the tides of battle easily with a few words here and there <3

The honest plan is to evolve the skill to "Knowledge King: Raphael" to give Gy a hard time <3 GIGGLES MADLY. (Novel spoilers :3333 the ones in the know will Know whats goin down LOLOLOLOL)

Does that impede on Rimuru's own Raphael? Nah. His is Wisdom while Ely's Knowledge.

Since knowledge king wasnt really explored in the novels or at all anywhere, im just gonna adapt it into my own thing. It's a library. A massive ass fucking library of ALL the world's knowledge. It kinda gave Ely a headache when she first got the skill due to information overload . lol.

It's kinda like a seperate realm and I imagine it to be more . Matrix like. And completely self indulgent: to access the place you gotta be a data entity and ANYTHING data is COMPLETELY susceptible to any sort of malipulation by Ely herself <3 you come into the library to find the truth of the world and when you come out your hair is infinitely wet. You ask to find some ancient knowledge, granted entry, and then you come out looking like a boar. Everything has a price yada yada.

GOING OFF MODE TURNING OFF.

When she first met Gy it's more like. Mass amounts of fear. This bitch can kill me- scratch that. This bitch WILL kill me. how long can I stretch "me being alive and well" out.

It started off with Gy asking about this feeling of a puzzle piece being lost and found, completely disregarding Ely as a person and talks to her as more of an object to be regained. She answers by playing into it while also saying something along the lines of "I know a whole lot more than I am letting on. Letting me live will be more beneficial for you."

Gy "asked" for a fight. Ely could only say yes. She gets her ass beat in 20 seconds top but manages to at LEAST show Gy that she had correctly countered, dodged, and blocked his attacks. If she had the same power level as he, she might've been able to fight back. Huh!

Note: I like to think the Tensura world is a whole lot more intricate than what we were given tbh

Anyways, they talk and Ely ended up arguing for her life in exchange of acting as a super computer. Loyalty sworn, she gets absorbed, and haunts his ass. Regrets were had.

"This was NOT what I was thinking. What the FUck❓"

"TRUST ME. THIS IS THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION."

"HAH????"

"Source: Me."

ANYWAYS TIME SKIP AND GY HAD TO ADMIT THAT ITS PRETTY CONVENIENT TO HAVE SOMEONE JUST. MANAGE SHIT INTERNALLY.

And you might be thinking: POP. WHY DOES GY TRUST ELY SO MUCH SO EARLY ON?? He fucken thought she was just a piece of him that fucked off somewhere for whatever reason and chased after it, blaming the ancient spirit of darkness for having made a blunder but its whatever. Plus Ely kinda just jumped wagon without warning lol <3

OKAY TIME SKIP FR AND NOW WE'RE IN THE MATERIAL WORLD

Yada yada she fought tooth and nail to be let out, shaking the cage every other day. Gy is unrelenting tho ^-^. No. Nope. Nuh uh. "fym nuh uh"

One day tho, in a festival of some unknown town, Gy was enjoying the music and the other two primordials were busy with their own stuff, Ely once again asked to be let out.

A no is a No.

She begs.

"...for what."

"I want to show you something cool."

Gy looks around, places a barrier, and gives her a body. It will only last for an hour.

Ely takes it, and bows infront of him before begining with a note. A type of instrument appears in her arms via material creation and its something no one had ever seen before, singing and playing a song no one had ever heard before.

The songs keep coming and she eventually leads the festival into an all time high, Gy watches all this and even decided to join in, matching any songs' energy with equal vigor or melancholy.

The body lasts until dawn.

Somewhen, in the middle of the night, the barrier had dissapated. Everyone that had deemed it important, acknowledged it, and moved on with the festivities.

That was the first time she had enjoyed anything from the material world properly. The world that she oh so loved, properly.

She'll get out time and time again, the intervals between each freedom shortens and when Gy eventually "gets sick" of her insistant whining,

"FINE. Get outta here already, damn. You're so annoying."

"..wait fr?"

"YES."

"YIPPIE" "you're so fucken weird you know that."

This is all before Velzard btw. Is it before Veldanava tho? No idea! Gotta think of the implications first lol <3

RETRO STUFF!!! like comics and 2000s cartoons :D for cartoons especially: monster high, powerpuff girls, winx club, totally spies… all thick lines, sharp angles, and POPPING COLORS!! i think this is also where i get my excessive love for shapes from (although i can’t draw a straight line to save my life) (ɷ ꒪ཀ꒪)ɷ🧡🎃✨

4. PERSONA 5 UI!!! ik i’ve used this gif before in another ask but JUST LOOK AT IT!! GLORIOUSLY EYE-SEARING NEON GREEN!!! 💚 i love love love p5’s art style, particularly vanilla p5 (royal flaunts more shiny gold accents which also scratch that itch in my brain 😸) because lovely mismatched, cut-out typography! black n white characters contrasting strikingly against retina-piercing monochrome palettes!! all flair AND function!!! this game has it all!!!! (๑˃̶͈̀∇˂̶͈́)و⁾⁾˚*💚🍭💕

5. VEWN!!! their animations instill within me the special kind of depression only a preteen girl can feel… their style is wonderfully imperfect! sketchy lines and skewed perspectives—makes me happy to draw whatever i want without worrying about realism 😸 my favorite of theirs is “twins in paradise” and “floatland”! they evoke the same uncanniness as liminal spaces methinks 🩵🎐🪽
