Oxygen Hydra Facial Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Tumblr media
An Oxygen Hydra Facial, also known as a HydraFacial, is a non-invasive skincare treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection to improve skin health and appearance. If you're a beginner looking to try this treatment, here are some tips and tricks to get the most out of it:
1. Research and Choose a Qualified Provider:
Look for a reputable skincare clinic or spa that offers Oxygen Hydra Facials. Research their credentials, read reviews, and ask for recommendations from friends or family.
2. Consultation:
Schedule a consultation with the provider to discuss your skincare concerns and goals. They can tailor the treatment to your specific needs.
3. Pre-Treatment Skincare:
Avoid using retinoids, chemical peels, or other harsh treatments for at least one week before your Hydra Facial to prevent excessive sensitivity.
4. Understand the Procedure:
Ask your provider to explain the steps involved in the Hydra Facial so you know what to expect. It typically involves cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and infusion of serums.
5. Relax and Enjoy:
The Hydra Facial is a gentle and comfortable procedure, so relax during the treatment. It's often described as feeling like a gentle vacuum and water being applied to the skin.
6. Aftercare:
Your provider will recommend post-treatment care, which usually includes avoiding harsh skincare products and excessive sun exposure for a few days.
7. Maintenance:
To maintain the benefits of the Hydra Facial, consider scheduling regular sessions. Your provider can suggest a suitable frequency based on your skin type and goals.
8. Communicate with Your Provider:
If you experience any unusual reactions or have concerns after the treatment, don't hesitate to contact your provider for guidance.
9. Avoid Sun Exposure:
After a Hydra Facial, your skin may be more sensitive to the sun. Be diligent about using sunscreen and wearing protective clothing to prevent sun damage.
10. Hydrate and Follow a Skincare Routine:
After the treatment, continue to hydrate your skin by drinking plenty of water. Follow a skincare routine recommended by your provider to maintain your skin's health and appearance.
11. Be Patient:
Results may not be immediately apparent. It may take a few days for your skin to show the full benefits of the treatment, so be patient and consistent with your skincare routine.
Remember that individual results may vary, and the effectiveness of the Oxygen Hydra Facial can depend on factors like your skin type and any specific concerns you have. Consult with your skincare provider for personalized advice and recommendations to achieve your desired results.

Hair Regrowth for Detrans Women
As someone who experienced a lot of hair loss during my transition, I wanted to share things that have helped me with regrowing it. Hopefully this can help other women with their hair too!
While there's nothing wrong with hair loss and it's not something we should be ashamed of – It's a medical problem, plain and simple! – Hair is important to people and it's a big part of our appearance and self-esteem, so I don't think there's anything wrong with doing things that can help.
Women tend to hide it (with wigs, hair toppers, etc) because there is shame associated with hair loss, and because of that we don't always know that there are women around us who have dealt with this problem too. Since experiencing this myself, I've noticed plenty of women with hair loss and recession. It may not be super common, but it's nothing to be ashamed of!
First things first - If you've stopped taking testosterone and your T levels are within a normal-ish female range, you shouldn't need any kind of DHT blockers. So you should avoid all of that stuff unless you know there's a medical reason that it could be beneficial.
You're not a man - your hair loss is the type that women get when their testosterone levels are too high. Many women with conditions like PCOS develop pattern hair loss, and plenty of other conditions can cause hair loss for women too. It's far from something that only affects men.
Minoxidil - I had success with this, but quickly lost hair every time I would stop using it, even for a week or so. I was also uncomfortable with the idea of potential negative health effects and didn't want to risk that over the long run. So I switched to rosemary oil.
Rosemary Oil - I used this recipe to make a rosemary oil spray. I expected to lose hair when I stopped the minoxidil and started using this, but not only did I not lose hair, I've also seen new growth come in. I use this once a day, spraying enough to cover the areas of thinning and then rubbing it thoroughly into my scalp.
I recommend starting with rosemary oil instead of minoxidil. If it doesn't work, at least you tried the safer option first.
Microneedling - This is what I think has done the most for my hair! (Disclaimer: This is not medical advice. If you want to try microneedling, either go to a professional or be very careful that you're being safe and disinfecting before and after.)
I looked up a lot of tutorials and information and this is the protocol I landed on:
I use a high quality dermastamp set to 1.25mm length once every 10 days. First I soak the stamper in rubbing alcohol for at least 2 minutes, then wash my hair with shampoo. After drying it, I rub alcohol on the areas I'll be treating just to be safe. Then I stamp it over the areas until the skin turns pink. There shouldn't be any bleeding, but it is a little painful. (Much less painful than a tattoo!) Once the areas are pink, stop using the stamper. You're done. After that I rub more alcohol on my scalp and then wash my hair again.
The whole thing only takes about 10 minutes. It is important to wait 10 days in between treatments, because your skin needs time to heal again.
The theory behind how microneedling works for hair growth is that it damages the skin and hair follicles just enough that it triggers your cells to repair, which can cause follicles to grow thicker hair again, and even to grow hair where you thought the follicles were dead. It also increases blood flow to the scalp the same way that minox and rosemary oil do.
For anyone who wonders if any of this is really worth it – It might not be for you, but it definitely was for me. Before I detransitioned and started treating my hair, my only option was to buzz it because it was so thin on the top and the recession was really far back. It's not back to how it used to be (and it might never be) but I managed to reverse multiple years worth of hair loss and I feel much more confident.
I have no way of knowing how much of my hair regrowth is due to this treatment, and how much is just from being off testosterone. But considering a lot of women have little or no improvement in their hair after stopping T, I think it's probably a little of both.
I've only been at this for about a year, so I'd love anyone who has more experience in treating their hair for regrowth, or anyone who has had other treatments or procedures to comment or reblog with their experiences too!

Navigating Menopause: Brentwood Treatments That Truly Support Women’s Wellness
Visiting a skin clinic in Brentwood provides access to a range of treatments that support women’s wellness during menopause. This stage of life brings hormonal changes that affect the skin, body, and overall well-being. While symptoms such as dryness, loss of elasticity, and increased sensitivity are common, effective treatments can help restore comfort and confidence.
Menopause affects more than just hormone levels. The skin loses collagen, hydration, and firmness, leading to visible changes in texture and tone. Seeking professional care ensures that women receive targeted solutions tailored to their individual needs. With the availability of menopause treatment in Brentwood, symptoms can be managed effectively, promoting both skin health and overall well-being.
How Menopause Affects the Skin
Menopause leads to a decline in oestrogen, which plays a key role in collagen production and moisture retention. As levels drop, the skin becomes thinner, drier, and less elastic. Common concerns include:
Increased dryness – Reduced oil production can leave the skin feeling tight and flaky.
Loss of firmness – Skin laxity becomes more noticeable as collagen levels decrease.
Sensitivity – The skin barrier weakens, making it more prone to irritation and redness.
A Brentwood skin clinic offers treatments designed to restore hydration, improve elasticity, and reduce sensitivity, helping women feel more comfortable and confident during menopause.
Menopause Treatment in Brentwood: Restoring Skin and Confidence
A variety of treatments are available to support menopausal skin. Options include:
Hydrating Facials – Designed to deeply nourish the skin and restore moisture balance.
Collagen-Boosting Therapies – Treatments such as microneedling and skin boosters stimulate collagen production for firmer, smoother skin.
Hormone Balancing Treatments – Certain therapies support hormonal balance, reducing symptoms such as hot flushes and dryness.
These treatments not only improve the skin’s appearance but also contribute to overall wellness. Consulting a skin clinic in Brentwood ensures that the most effective approach is chosen based on individual concerns.
Why Choose a Brentwood Skin Clinic for Menopause Support?
A professional Brentwood skin clinic provides expert care tailored to the unique needs of menopausal women. Skilled practitioners assess the skin and recommend treatments that enhance hydration, reduce fine lines, and strengthen the skin barrier.
Advanced techniques and high-quality products ensure effective results, helping women navigate menopause with confidence. Seeking treatment in a supportive environment promotes long-term skin health and well-being.
Menopause brings changes that affect both skin and overall wellness, but professional treatments can help manage symptoms effectively. A skin clinic in Brentwood offers expert solutions that restore hydration, improve elasticity, and support women’s confidence during this stage of life.

Hey Sissy Poohs!
Tumblr media
I've been really transparent over the last few years about the things I've changed in my life: from leaving my last career, finding love, weight loss, and growing my faith.
The next thing I'd like to be honest about, especially as a deeply brown skin woman with a lot of confidence, is that I have had some skin issues.
Essentially, I've struggled with minimal to mild, and once in a blue, flared and irritated acne.
From what I can see, it's caused from ingrown hairs around my sideburns, chin and neck. But there could be underlying issues like something hormonal, maybe something I'm eating that I'm allergic to, etc.
But over the last few weeks, I've been talking with one of my girlfriends who is in medical school about it. We always talk about cosmetic procedures all of the time because we're into it but we also like looking into the science behind it. I've gotten a chemical peel before and I was also considering Microneedling as well to help with collagen production in my face - especially since I've lost weight. She was telling me about her skin care issues and how she does Microneedling but she saw the best results when she sought out medical professionals who were able to give her a diagnosis and prescribe her a topical medication for her acne scaring. Sissy Pooh literally has glass skin now.
So today, I met with my dermatologist and they were able to observe and take pictures to start a treatment plan for me that we'll go over in the next few days.
I'm not a doctor or a nurse, yet, but I think it'll be an acne and hormonal combination diagnosis with a treatment plan that includes, but not limited too, a topical medicated prescription along with laser hair removal.
I'm excited.
And for all my working Sissy Poohs, or women under their parent's or husband's insurance, I think most consultations are covered under your insurance, and prescriptions and treatments will either be partially or fully covered. But you can always call your insurance to double check.
I will keep you all posted and when I start to see results, I'll post them and also give the details of my treatment plan if you want something in mind when consulting your dermatologist.
As always, with love,
Mrs. Chanel

Facial Treatment: What to expect during your first time
Tumblr media
Your first facial treatment can be an enjoyable and rejuvenating experience. Here's what you can generally expect during your first facial appointment:
Consultation: The session typically begins with a consultation with a licensed esthetician or skincare professional. They will ask about your skincare concerns, any specific issues you'd like to address, your skincare routine, and any allergies or sensitivities you may have. This consultation helps the esthetician tailor the treatment to your unique needs.
Skin Analysis: The esthetician will closely examine your skin to determine your skin type (e.g., oily, dry, combination), assess your skin condition, and identify any specific concerns such as acne, dehydration, or signs of aging.
Cleansing: The esthetician will start by cleansing your face to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities. They may use a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser suitable for your skin type.
Steam or Warm Towels: Some facials include the use of steam or warm towels to open up your pores, making it easier to extract blackheads and whiteheads.
Exfoliation: Depending on your skin type and concerns, the esthetician may use an exfoliating scrub, enzyme peel, or chemical peel to remove dead skin cells and improve skin texture.
Extraction (Optional): If you have clogged pores or acne, the esthetician may perform extractions using sterile tools. This step can help remove blackheads and whiteheads, but it can be slightly uncomfortable for some individuals.
Facial Massage: Many facials include a relaxing facial massage using gentle, upward strokes. This helps improve circulation, relax facial muscles, and promote a sense of well-being.
Mask Application: A mask tailored to your skin type and concerns will be applied. Masks can hydrate, soothe, brighten, or address specific issues such as acne or aging.
Serums and Treatments: The esthetician may apply serums, ampoules, or targeted treatments to address your specific skincare concerns.
Moisturizer and Sunscreen: A moisturizer suitable for your skin type will be applied, followed by sunscreen to protect your skin from UV damage, especially if the facial is during the day.
Post-Treatment Advice: The esthetician will provide recommendations for post-facial skincare, including products to use at home, lifestyle tips, and advice on when to schedule your next facial.
Relaxation: Facials are not just about skincare; they're also a chance to relax and unwind. Many people find the experience soothing and stress-relieving.
Duration: The length of a facial can vary, but most standard facials last around 60 to 90 minutes.
Redness and Sensitivity: Depending on the type of facial and your skin's sensitivity, you may experience temporary redness or mild irritation, which should subside within a few hours to a day.
It's essential to communicate openly with your esthetician throughout the process, especially if you experience discomfort or have any questions about the facial treatment. Also, make sure to inform them of any allergies or skin sensitivities you may have to ensure a safe and effective facial experience. Enjoy the pampering and the benefits of your first facial treatment, and don't forget to schedule follow-up appointments to maintain your skin's health and radiance.

How Often Should You Get a PRP Facial for the Best Results?
Tumblr media
Introduction At LenoyMED, we believe that radiant, youthful skin is achievable with the right care and treatments. One of our standout offerings is the PRP Facial, a natural and highly effective solution for skin rejuvenation. But to maximize its benefits, knowing how often you should schedule your sessions is key. Let’s dive into the factors that determine the ideal frequency for PRP Facials and how they can help you achieve glowing, youthful skin.
What Is a PRP Facial? A PRP Facial (Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial) uses your body’s platelet-rich plasma to stimulate collagen production, repair damaged skin, and promote a brighter, more even complexion. This Plasma Face Treatment is highly popular for its natural approach to improving skin health, targeting fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and dullness.
How PRP Facials Work During a PRP Facial, your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then applied to the skin, often with the help of microneedling, to boost absorption and stimulate collagen production. This process helps rejuvenate the skin from within, delivering long-lasting results.
How Often Should You Get a PRP Facial?
The frequency of PRP Facials depends on your skin concerns, goals, and the advice of your skincare professional. Here’s a general guideline:
For Initial Treatment
Most patients start with a series of 3-4 treatments, spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.
This allows your skin to build collagen gradually, delivering visible improvements over time.
For Maintenance
After completing the initial series, a maintenance session every 4-6 months is recommended.
This keeps your skin looking fresh and prevents new signs of aging.
For Specific Concerns
If you’re targeting deep acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, or severe wrinkles, you may need additional sessions at shorter intervals. Your provider at LenoyMED will tailor the schedule to your needs.
Why Is Timing Important?
PRP Facials rely on your body’s natural processes to produce collagen and heal the skin. The effects are not immediate but become more noticeable as your skin regenerates. Scheduling treatments too frequently could overwhelm your skin, while too much time between sessions may not provide optimal benefits.
Factors That Influence PRP Facial Frequency
Skin Type and Condition
Individuals with mature skin may require more frequent sessions initially to address wrinkles or loss of elasticity.
Those with oily or acne-prone skin may benefit from sessions targeting scars or uneven texture.
Age and Lifestyle
Younger clients might only need occasional treatments for prevention and maintenance.
Factors like sun exposure, stress, and diet can also affect how often you need treatments.
Desired Results
Clients aiming for dramatic improvements in texture or tone may need a more aggressive initial schedule.
Those seeking a glow-up for a special event can schedule a single session 2-3 weeks beforehand.
Signs It’s Time for Another PRP Facial
Your skin feels dull or dehydrated.
Fine lines and wrinkles are becoming more noticeable.
Acne scars or pigmentation appear more prominent.
You want to maintain the youthful glow achieved from previous sessions.
How to Maximize the Results of Your PRP Facial
Follow Aftercare Instructions
Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF daily.
Skip harsh skincare products for a few days post-treatment.
Maintain a Consistent Skincare Routine
Use gentle cleansers, hydrating serums, and nourishing moisturizers to support your skin’s healing process.
Stay Hydrated and Eat Nutrient-Rich Foods
Drinking water and eating foods rich in antioxidants can enhance your skin’s natural glow.
Combine PRP Facials with Other Treatments
LenoyMED offers complementary treatments like chemical peels or laser therapy that can amplify your results.
Why Choose LenoyMED for Your PRP Facials?
At LenoyMED, we prioritize your unique skincare needs. Our experienced team uses advanced techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to deliver exceptional results in a comfortable and welcoming environment. We’ll work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that helps you achieve your skin goals.
Conclusion
PRP Facials are a powerful way to rejuvenate your skin naturally, but achieving the best results requires the right treatment schedule. With an initial series of sessions followed by regular maintenance, you can enjoy a brighter, smoother, and more youthful complexion year-round.
Ready to unlock your skin’s potential? Book your personalized PRP Facial consultation at LenoyMED today!
