You know how you look at someone and feel your heart swell with pride and joy? That was how Charles was feeling the exact moment he saw his pretty little girlfriend get her bachelors degree. She looked so gorgeous in the white outfit he had picked with her, so pure and innocent.

Charles genuinely wondered how she hadn’t noticed all the security that constantly followed him. How was he only 27 with an entire estate under his name? It really made Charles ponder. Maybe she noticed but was smart enough to not bring it up.

Regardless, he was the proudest person in the room, eyes beaming with glee as she threw her cap up in the air with joy enriched onto her face. With her only being 20, their relationship was the root of all the gossip in town.

It was strange, really. 7 years wasn’t that bad. He knew her better than anyone, and she knew him the most. He never let such thoughts bother him, especially since he was running one of the most discreet underground mafia. Charles knew the risk of getting her involved in his life. He knew that she would forever be tangled in his dirty business, whether she knew it or not. He hated the way that she drew in people with her charm and charisma.

In Charles' world, more attention meant a higher probability of ending up dead. Just thinking about something happening to her made his blood boil. She’d never be harmed. Little did Charles know that pissing off the Russian Mafia came with its drawbacks. The Russians played fast and dirty. They’d attack where it hurts the most. Due to their undercover agent in her university, they knew exactly who she was. Every little detail from the timings she enters and exits the university to the car that comes to pick and drop her.

The Russians were smart, very smart. They knew the best way to hurt Charles was to hurt his girl. They knew kidnapping would not work as she was heavily guarded at all times. So they came up with a public declaration of war. They were going to attack her at her graduation ceremony, in front of everyone, and most importantly, Charles.

This was their way to send a message. Frankly, ever since y/n and Charles started dating, he was ignoring his priorities with the mafia and appointed most of the tasks to Kyviat, who turned out to be a traitor. Some may say Charles’s lack of attention caused him to lose the most important person in his life. Just as they called out her name, the first shots fired. Almost in an instant, Charles whipped his head so fast you could hear a bone crack. He knew this was planned. He prayed and hoped deep down it wasn’t a message for him. He knew Alonso’s daughter also went here and selfishly hoped it was for him.

All his prayers fell on deaf ears when he saw his precious angel falling, almost in slow motion, with her white dress that he loved oh so much turning ever so red with each passing second. He knew he messed up. He had so much love he still needed to show her. The engagement ring in his pocket felt like hot coal, burning him almost taunting him painfully. He had everything planned out, each moment, each step. He never expected her to be ripped out of his arms. He had destroyed homes and families.

He knew he had unpaid karma. And just when he started becoming a better person, he had to pay his karma in full. They say the day she bled out in his arms was the day hell froze all over again. Each of her deep and labored breaths haunted his soul for the rest of his life. He still had days where he could imagine her next to him. If people thought Charles was cruel before the shooting, they would be very wrong.

Seeing the love of his life lying still on a ventilator enraged a different type of devil in him. He hunted each and everyone involved in the shooting like he was hunting animals. He shot, stabbed, burned, bleached, skinned, and mutilated each and everyone. It was borderline psychotic. By day, a doting boyfriend in the ICU. By night, a cold-blooded killer on the loose.

Each morning when he returned, he would utter the same words over and over again, “ça aurait dû être moi, pas toi, ça aurait dû être moi, ma chérie, pas toi. je suis désolé je suis désolé.”

Charles had lost it. More than ever, his reign of terror only ended when she opened her eyes again. He never touched another gun or affiliated with the mafia ever again.

The both of them found a safe haven in the Swiss Alps, only returning to Monaco when everything was over, Charles becoming the most protective person ever known to have lived. His large hand placed on her ever prominent belly. Monaco saw the aftermath of what happens when you mess with Charles Leclercs wife. That was the only incident that ever involved y/n. Charles made sure of it after all she was his and he protected what was his. His overprotective nature plus his power made sure she was safe.

When you sit facing him it’s a little more comfortable for him

he prefers it that way

he’ll scoff either way but he gets a bit annoyed if he was trying to do something that requires getting up

If he wasn’t too busy in the first place then he just scoffs and probably takes a nap himself

if he’s not tired he waits for you to get up

Henry Bowers

At first, Henry might find it a bit annoying, especially when he's trying to maintain his tough image. He might pull away or snap at her.

Over time, Henry starts to understand her need for affection and reassurance. He'd begrudgingly let her cling to him, especially if no one important is watching.

Henry would become extremely protective. If anyone makes a comment about her being clingy, they'd better watch out.

In private, Henry would be a lot more understanding and might even hold her close, though he'd never admit to enjoying the affection.

Victor "Vic" Criss

Vic is probably the most understanding of the group. He'd immediately pick up on her need for comfort and be accommodating.

He'd gently reassure her, telling her it's okay to hold onto him whenever she needs to. Vic has a soft spot for her vulnerabilities.

Unlike Henry, Vic wouldn't mind showing affection in front of others. He'd wrap an arm around her and make her feel safe.

Vic would be the one she'd turn to when she needs to talk about her issues. He's a good listener and offers comforting advice.

Belch Huggins

Belch might be a bit confused at first about why she's so clingy but wouldn't mind it too much.

He's pretty laid-back, so he'd just go with the flow. If she wants to hold onto his arm, that's fine by him.

He'd make lighthearted jokes to try and make her smile, easing any tension she might feel.

Belch would become protective if anyone made her uncomfortable about her clinginess. He'd stand up for her without hesitation.

note: ngl i feel like i do good at posting then smth with school pops up and i don’t post for like a month.. sorry y’all. also please tell me im not the only one who’s been on and off sick for the past month, rn i have a runny nose and a sore throat AGAIN. i just got over that like, barely 2 weeks ago.

tw: y/n is a bit of a weirdo with his thoughts since he doesn’t understand anything w/ love, internal homophobia (not really but kinda?), y/n is all over the place

After centuries of fighting, killing, and not showing emotions to anyone, all that can end because of a guy with beautiful long hair. The more y/n thinks about it, the more embarrassed he gets. He’s known for being a fearless and intimidating warrior, just for that whole facade to disappear just over a man out of all things.

This whole scenario came into place because his nation archon just had to have a meeting with Fontaine's archon, Furina, at least y/n thinks that’s her name. The meeting consisted of figuring out how to make the justice system within Natlan better and a way to make transportation easier between the two nations. y/n didn’t pay attention to the little details, he was only there to ‘protect’ his archon and make sure things went smoothly.

However, he didn’t realize that the other archon would be bringing a guest with her until a day before the meeting. It did tick y/n off a little bit that he would get notified so late but does it really matter? All y/n is doing is protecting and making sure everything doesn’t go south.

Well, it did go a bit south, as soon as Furina's guest arrived, y/n's mouth went dry. That man did things to him that he didn’t even know could happen. Maybe it was the long hair on the other man that made y/n feel warm inside, it definitely couldn’t have been the slight scent he had. No, definitely not.

Okay, y/n takes that back, he feels like he’s getting intoxicated by the proximity of the other male. It wasn’t hard to figure out that the guest, was a dragon, all it took was a quick look and a secret deep breath to figure it out. He had it figured out, his body wasn’t used to being by another dragon, and he hadn’t seen one in what, centuries? This feeling would go away in maybe 20 minutes, hopefully.

20 minutes later and y/n feels like he’s going to light the whole place on fire. His whole body feels like it’s melting, and to no one’s surprise, it’s all due to the long-haired man in front of him. The stranger might genuinely be the hottest person y/n has ever seen in his entire life. That long hair makes y/n want to run his fingers through it, maybe brush it, but that might be a bit too much to think about.

Once y/n saw the man look at him, he quickly looked away, how embarrassing.. he got caught staring hardcore. He took a deep breath before listening back into the conversation, “Ah, yes, I suppose it would do both nations good to do something like that. Maybe combining a bit of power.” the lovey talk of archons, always talking about power; like it’s the only thing that matters to them.

Power is important though, y/n is in the position he’s in right now because of how powerful he is. In complete honesty, he’s probably too powerful for his own good, only knowing how to use it to protect his nation from people deemed as enemies; even if they aren’t in the public eye. Power rules everything at the end of the day, nothing can function without power.

The more he listens into the conversation, the more he realizes he was glad he was never born as an archon; he’s been around one most of his life and it’s always been boring. Listening in did provide small details though, like the mysterious man’s name.

While y/n was somewhat able to keep his focus off of the other dragon in the room, he managed to not burn anything. But, he had a feeling his archon caught on as they gave him a questionable look; it was a very subtle one that only he could catch onto but it was obvious they knew something. Nothing is going on though, right? The man can’t help it if he gets a bit flustered whenever he remembers Neuvillette is near him.

Gosh, y/n probably looks like a blushed teenager who just confessed to his crush. Well, he at least thought he did. To everyone else though, he looked like he was on guard and was going to fight anyone who even took a step too close to his and the Natlan archon's bubble. y/ns hand accidentally gazed at the chair near him, which caused the leather to burn where his touch was. Good thing no one was looking, right?

y/n couldn’t wait any longer for this meeting to be over, his brain was thinking too many things while he was focusing on every single move everyone else did. It would be overwhelming for anyone who wasn’t trained and as skilled as he was, but that tiny overwhelming feeling didn’t compare to how fast his heart was beating. y/n hoped the other male couldn’t pick up how he was feeling, thankfully Fontaine's archon seemed to be happy with the deal she and the other archon came up with.

In Neuvillette's mind, he could tell that the fire dragon was on edge. He could also tell how much the dragon was staring at him, it was a little nerve-racking. Once Neuvillette caught a glance at the chair that was touched, it made him a bit surprised but he didn’t show it. Maybe he would talk to the other male after the meeting, for work-related things of course!

inedible edible cafe: inedible things here (in our OR) would be edible in this dr.. Initially I only wanted to include slime as a dish, but now I want to make dishes with different ingredients, like puffy sticker cereal or sum shit

shifting school dr: okay so this actually was a trend on shifttok for a sec, it was called a 'mysterious school' idk why. anyway, this school was supposed to be it's own dr, but I think i may include it in my dreamscape dr

magitech engineer dr: ngl this idea was in the fucking basement of my mind-- ain't nobody gonna wanna shift here besides for someone that actually likes crafting things. idk i just feel like it’s a niche idea

number magic: uh so no, that's not the title for this dr-- I just really wanna make a dr with this kind of system. idk I was just in world lit class and I realized the poem I was reading was repeating the number 5. we were supposed to analyze the poem, but my dumbass just started daydreaming... anyway, next idea

fantasy cosmetic makeup maker dr: so like imagine handmaking make up with like... mermaid pearls or like ground unicorn horns (sourced ethically of course-- unicorns will shed their horns like baby teeth throughout their lifetime. I cannot imagine depriving a unicorn of its horn... imagine doing that... what a psycho😨) you could make like a mermaid line, a sky beauty line, IMAGINE THE PACKAGING. STOP. WAIT. FLOWER KNOWS. AHHH.

I also wanted this to be in a high school setting. this idea stemmed from me just wanting a high school futuristic dr, cuz like yk I was curious about what high school students would need to learn. what would be considered important to learn about? would all students be taught about how to make technology we would find difficult to make today? what about psychology class? what new theories would arise? what would students think about our generation (in our CR) today? would they think we're stupid, crass, or selfish? anyway, initially I just wanted to go to school and walk around... but, I had a dream about living in the future, more abt that in the next idea (this idea is getting long). Instead, I think I wanna deviate a bit from what I would usually do here and in literally every other school dr I have-- I want to experience what it'd be like to be a... deliquient? idk, growing up i kinda just was just that quiet girl that listened to her parents... soooooooo why not do smth different? I'm still not gonna drink or do drugs tho, boooooooo ik so boring 🙄🙄 oh also I was gonna have a group of friends that were also skaters or bikers and compete in definitely legal biker/skater competitions

futuristic entertainment district: anyway more about that dream, essentially everyone was wearing these levitating rocket boots that looked a lot like roller skates (they had those wheels at the bottom of the shoes). the city was like a huge pot hole filled with stores on the side, but like it seemed like parts of the land was broken apart and floating around-- even those had advertisements and people singing and dancing on them. like this pot hole city was filled to the brim with advertisements, shops, stores, entertainment places, literally I remember that there was a huge section of like idol shit. there were a lot of people darting around the place using those levitating boots I was wearing, but there were also futuristic floating cars. imagine cyberpunk but if it was located in a big ass pot hole. yah, that. idk i just wanna explore

dystopian futuristic dr: similar to cyberpunk in the fact that it's a world dominated by companies; I want to join an underground group that wants to overtake the gov and make the world less ass

singles inferno - introvert ver: I actually have all the contestants scripted + designed a script for this DR, but I haven't worked on this script in a whiillleeeee. I wanna be song jia. not literally, but like I want to have her charm, yk? ok so the introvert part-- a lot of the game will take place in a group chat room. you do challenges in-person and in this chatroom to get a date, sometimes it's a random date, but most of the time it's like your choice. very heavily inspired by a game called picka!

a minecraft roleplay dr: I know at least one of yall cringed so hard at this, trust me, I knooowwwww-- but I really want to be like the next aphmau or smth. oh except I don't want to make kid vids, tho I'm sure yall knew that right. I want to recreate aethergarde academy in minecraft (ALSO ALRUNA TOO OMFG) but then I also wanna do other things that aren't dr related. idk I just know that this DR's gonna be sooooo fun. I haven't even decided on a channel name yet 😭😭

It’s been a while since you’ve felt like you have control over your body. You no longer dig for the bottle. The want is still there, but that’s all it is– a want, when at the beginning it felt like a need. Overall, it’s been a year. A long year, but a year. 

It’s been almost a year and a half since your friend died. The aftermath felt like darkness that you couldn’t find your way out of. Certain days can be harder than others, but you still haven’t reached for a bottle in a year. 

You went out and bought yourself something small after you left your house. You weren’t sure what you wanted to buy even after you arrived at the store. You made the decision when your eyes landed on the sweet treat. 

You knew of people that had parties to commemorate the accomplishment, but you were happy to pick up the individual cupcake to celebrate. The cupcake was small, all wrapped up in plastic and shining under the fluorescent light. Everything used to feel so heavy when you stopped drinking, even the smallest things like getting out of bed, but now, it all feels so small. 

You probably looked crazy walking up to the self-checkout holding a cupcake and smiling, but you felt happy. You thanked an employee on your way out the door, still smiling. 

“Have a good day,” they responded, sending a small smile of courtesy your way. 

“You too.” You walked out of the store and started the walk home. The small walk home. 

Your home wasn’t the way you left it when you got home. It was full of other bodies, talking and laughing, making their presence known from the moment you stepped in. 

“How’d you get in my house?” You asked the group when you walked to where they were in the living room, all of them sprawled out and comfortable. 

“We have a copy,” Soap responded nonchalantly. 

“We?”

Price walked over to where you stood in the entryway and clapped you on the shoulder in greeting, “just him,” Price clarified. 

“Ah,” you weren’t sure if that was any better. 

“What’re you doing here?”

“We know how important today is,” Price said. With his arm around your shoulder, he pulled you to the couch. When you were settled down, your body in between his and Simon’s, he squeezed your shoulder. “It’s been a year?” He asked. 

“Just about,” you responded softly, smiling down at the cupcake you still help, clutching it protectively to your chest. 

“We’re proud of you, you know that?” Your friend would be too,” you could hear the smile in Price’s voice. 

“Thank you. I’m proud of myself, too,” you were getting choked up, but still had the smile on your face. 

König and Gaz sat on your loveseat, their bodies squeezed together to try and fit in the small space. Soap sat near their legs, digging around in his pocket, both of the men on the couch watching him with furrowed brows. 

You swallowed the lump in your throat, suddenly feeling confusion instead of sadness, “is that my key?” You asked when Soap tossed the item on your coffee table. It nearly flew off, but landed just on the edge. 

“It’s the one I used to make my copy.”

“How many did you make?”

“Me, Simon, Price, Gaz, Rudy, Ale-” Soap listed off on his fingers, getting cut off by Gaz throwing a pillow in his face. 

“Do not forget about me,” König said, ignoring the glare Gaz sent his way. 

“He’s the only one that has one,” Ghost said. 

“Has one what?” Rudy asked, who had just walked in with Alejandro. 

“Nothing!” Soap said to the two of them then threw the pillow back at Gaz. 

“You have a key too?” You asked them both. 

“Of course we do,” they both said, coming in to settle down into the space like all the others were. 

You met them all days into your sobriety when you thought it would be better to be out of your house, away from the bottles you knew you still had to throw away. Soap had run into you, the group of men playing a game in the park you decided to take a walk in. It left you with a scar on your knee, which now had the cupcake resting on top of it. 

“Did you all just break into my house to watch television?” You asked after everything had quieted down.

“Soap did, but we didn’t,” Price responded, and laughed softly at the noise Soap squawked out in protest.

(I then proceeded to write everything out more detail than I’ve ever talked about it before!) so hopefully this makes things a little more clear! Gbjdghkvjm

Etho, who was still trying to get used to a full range of emotions on top of his first life series, had a REALLY hard time with how Last Life ended— the adrenaline and fear of Death Games’ Survival of the Fittest and being pit against all of his friends is one thing, but something about his relationship with bdubs was so much more important to him, and he essentially blames himself for bdubs’ permanent death in the series. He vividly remembers (has recorded + logged the memories of) himself telling bdubs he wouldn’t give him a life unless he killed one of the other reds— remembers bdubs saying he’ll kill to earn the life, remembers him looking so earnest and determined, vividly remembers the moment the message rang out that Bdubs had gotten his kill, and the message that Grian had killed Bdubs shortly after.

Etho never quite forgave himself for being the self-perceived reason bdubs dies (after all, he should have just given bdubs the life if he really cared and wanted him to survive), and he takes this grief back with him as they return to Hermitcraft Season 8. As someone who’s very new to feelings of guilt and failure, you can imagine how hard he took this— reviewing the memories again and again, trying to understand why he made those decisions, realizing how selfish he is, comparing his “failure to protect bdubs” to when he was first assigned to Bdubs, when he sacrificed himself to keep Bdubs safe.

As the moon situation escalated and hermitcraft got increasingly busy, Etho couldn’t find it in himself to confront bdubs (maybe not seeing himself fit to deserve bdubs’ forgiveness, or fearing Bdubs’ disappointment or anger with him) and his fears and regrets kind of slowly ate away at him until it shut him down. It’s actually a recurring theme for Etho that, because of the damage he sustained from the creeper blast that caused his deviancy, his systems are actually kind of fragile when it comes to pushing them to their extremes. When he feels an extraordinary amount of overwhelming emotion, his thirium pump starts to work in overdrive, and thirium starts leaking from all of the places his shell is cracked— his face, his shoulder, and his arm.

So the idea is that, Etho returns to Season 8 trying to… more or less forget about what happened— except he can’t, he’s obsessed with what happened, and his emotions start to overwhelm him until thirium starts to leak and whatnot. But I think deviants are fairly used to “dismissing” warnings, as sometimes their thirium pump will skip, their temperature will rise, or other system updates may happen when they feel certain emotions, and Etho is so distracted (or. Trying to be distracted) that he doesn’t realize he’s dismissing Thirium Loss notifications until it’s too late. He begins to shut down with Last Life on his mind, and the system errors that follow are all garbled out.

This technically happens before the moon destroys the server, which means etho is offline, or broken, or what have you, when the server gets destroyed, and this is actually what truly glitches him out. When Xisuma and Doc try to reboot him at the beginning of season 9, Etho’s system is caught on a glitch: Etho had shut down thinking about last life, so his programming is trying to eliminate the threat who killed bdubs as an attempt to fix what happened (bdubs dying). Etho’s trying to eliminate grian (who isn’t a threat anymore, because this isn’t last life, last life was ages ago) but he’s not thinking straight and can’t process anything beyond the Desperation+Fear+Guilt. Since Grian’s not in the room, he goes for the next best thing: the person who might be able to tell him where Grian is: the server admin. Doc just gets in the way of Etho trying to get to Xisuma, so Etho “decommissions” Doc in an attempt to remove him from the equation.

So um. Yeah! That should be everything more or less explained… hopefully it also clears up some details you may or may not notice in the comics! Etho starts leaking thirium throughout the destruction comics, Etho goes for Xisuma first… Etho having memory flashbacks of Last Life. If anything is particularly confusing feel free to ask more questions! But it’s kinda nice to be able to write out how I’ve logic’d out all of this happening in my head hehe (i plan on posting the DBHC Etho playlist soon with a brief explanation of each song in Etho’s timeline, so hopefully that will help too!) :]

Something that came to my mind because of the chessboard Strawhat cover:

I mentioned before the Strawhat's relations to demons/hell/monsters and their symbolism of being in opposition to gods/heaven, but this time it's interesting how multiple Strawhats already have a title somehow related to rule or ruling pieces - but it's always a little bit twisted, that trope is a bit flipped upside down.

Obviously Luffy will become the King of the Pirates, (but even Big Mom in one of the Wano flashbacks mentioned she would become the King of the Pirates - not a queen, so this particular title is probably always King.)

Luffy just wants to be that, and not rule in the typical sense of the word, or how their world understands that title.

Then we have Zoro and his King of Hell title. (I think that's pretty self explanatory and i've talked about him before probably the most. (also smth smth, becoming the King for Luffy's and his dreams.))

Now we have Nami as the Queen on the strawhats chess board. Queen, which is the deadliest and a very important figure in chess (beside the King - and even there Oda broke the rules again - saying the 'King is the fighting piece', which usually it is not as much.) She's their navigator and the symbol of what they need to protect and how they let her move to attack in the best formations, in the most strategic moves.

We have SogeKing, who is a veeeery similar to the character of Usopp, practically the same guy. (Even on the chessboard he's with bow & arrow as the SniperKing.)

We have Soul King Brook. King of absolute slaying with his music!

We have Jimbei First son of the Sea, which sound like important (ruling) title as well.

With Sanji I don't really want to point at his family - the connection as Prince of Germa Kingdom connection, because he renounced that, but

-he did call himself a Prince all the way in Alabasta. So, prince he is, self appointed, in whatever sense he means it. (And something very fun is how he trained under Emporio Ivankov, and beat Queen in Wano, both who are also interesting characters in the case of breaking the stereotypical gender of those titles/names).

Nico Robin has one of the epithets 'Light of the Revolution', which I find beautiful. She's illuminating their journey with her knowledge, and at the same time her connections with the Revolutionary Army speaks about the breaking out of the typical roles as well.

(I couldn't think how it would be for Franky and Chopper, but they're kinda similar in the way they've altered their bodies. Franky building so much of his body, cyborg who had a dream to built the ship for the King of the Pirates; and Chopper, a reindeer with human knowledge of medicine to become the best doctor.)

Just to say that even when they're gathering these titles/names/positions, they're not meant in the generic sort of meaning. It's always looped around, broken out of the mold of how their (and ours) society views these roles. And that's what makes it their unique thing. Their way how they grasp their skills, the future and their dreams.

How IN LOVE are the Genshin cast with the Traveler? An ANALYSIS of the cast's affinity for them based on voice lines, events and other media!

This goes for both Aether and Lumine, and even Paimon occasionally for the friendship/family tier! If there is anyone or smth I missed please feel free to add I love studying character relationships!!! Of course you are free to interpret these differently, or see it as "something more" if you wish hehe ;)

Lowest Tier : Friendly-er

These characters are here because they are not the type to have many friends, but traveler is special to them, not romantically

Raiden Ei - I interpret their relationship as one that is trying to build a stable friendship, but still recovering from past events slowly. Ei has done a lot of harm both directly and indirectly at the traveler, but has gone through the events of the quest to re-center herself in which the Traveler helped greatly. Deeply thankful is what I'm lead to believe, but casual is still iffy because of Ei's acts of cutting off all close connections in the past.

Shenhe - She is very protective of the traveler, because they were her earliest friends (yes Paimon too) and her story does revolve around her learning to fight for others (I find their friendship very sweet, but not romantic at all since Shenhe has a much longer way to go in understanding social relationships) (I'm kinda surprised I've never seen someone ship this romantically actually-)

Diluc - Definition of a Gentleman when it comes to the traveler. He always offers his support, gives his hand-picked grape juice to them for free, etc. He always sees them in high regard and trusts them greatly (but you could probably say he does the same for Kaeya, Jean, Adelinde, Elzer, basically anyone he sees as family)

Ningguang - She says herself that she keeps her friends few because of the dangers her enemies pose on those who are close to her, but as Liyue's protector she puts great trust in the traveler. Her hangout imo shows that she generally trusts us more than a business partner but as a friend (very wholesome, but nothing more than that and that's cool!)

Razor - Traveler is Lupical. Razor is inherently very protective of the people he cares about because of feeling like he failed to protect his lupical in the past (I believe that's the story behind his vision). So obviously it is not romantic, but his interactions with the Traveler, Paimon, his family and friends are just so special and heartwarming especially in his latest event (SO SWEET I LOVE FOUND FAMILY)

!! SPOILER FOR WANDERER'S STORY QUEST !!

Scaramouche/Wanderer/babygirl/whatever you named him - He clearly doesn't have that many companions (or even any at all), even less those who he shows any sign of vulnerability to. Personally I see it as one of the most interesting traveler relationships in the game yet because they both do not fully trust each other, nor fully accept the other as a friend, but because of him revealing his trauma and past to him, and also the traveler also revealing a part of their own mind and longing, they have an understanding of each other like no one else does. (I do not see this as romantic, but more like a camaraderie which may lead to a deeper connection in the future)

Side note: Most of the playable cast are friends with the traveler, I point out these people specifically because they don't show vulnerability often, or already have other of friends so these relationships have another level of importance to the character.

Middle Tier : Flirty~

These guys are sweet talkers, may or may not be into the traveler

Kaeya - He kinda just talks like that if you ask me. He genuinely cares for the traveler and the other Knights and his family, but his language is just one of the ways he puts on his persona (As Razor would put it, his "fake smile")

Lisa - "Hey cutie-" makes me feel things, ok. Other than that though, nothing tells me she's into the traveler any more than a flirty way? I mean she appreciates them for their skills and support but I think it ends there?

Kazuha - man is a sweet talker honestly. Of course he also cares for the traveler deeply, but his poetic and colorful language is from his own nature, and the traveler generally has a special presence (His language IS very pretty if you ask me haha) (I feel some would say its more *suggestive* than others so that's up to you already lmao)

If there's anyone else you think has a rather *flavorful* way of speaking to the traveler, please do let me know :> If you think these have deeper meaning though, that would be interesting

Above Average Tier : Very sweet, could be something more?

Pseudo-canon material (the comics and hangouts are great man)

Thoma - You give him flowers in his hangout, and in another ending he gives you his omamori which is very sentimental to him. Thoma is generally an incredibly sweet person, so interpret it as you please haha <3

Heizou - This is pretty romantic if you ask me (depending on your taste). He keeps saying how much he wants you to be his "partner" (technically in the investigation sense), and has dialogue about how he feels comfortable around you, it's very sweet and has potential. Not to mention "Traveler, you are so dreamy~" (I swear this guy is 80% fanservice but do you see people complaining?)

Noelle - Her hangout was really adorable, it had a very innocent and young long vibe throughout it and it's just cuteness overload :> (What I would call a babyship)

Childe - Chilumi (not counting Aether) is basically canon in one of the side comedy comics, but in game, it's implied they do battle for fun, traveler does still keep their guard up around him, but his story quest shows he puts great trust in the traveler despite their differences.

Highest Tier : VERY interested, in love even

These are all in game, and pretty canon events (Teapot lines may still be questioned on how canon they are, but further reinforce the mindsets and affinity for the traveler these characters have) (of course it still has headcanon and my own stupid simp heart but bear with me okay?)

Albedo - He always talks abt how interested he is in you (not just scientifically anymore lmao), and suggested for you to live (totally not with him) in Dragonspine. He also trusts them more than others quite explicitly. He is, I believe, deeply enamored by them because of their kindness, strength, intelligence and reliability because the traveler is the person he is most comfortable with. They are the reason he wants to interact with others more as well (Shadows Amidst Snowstorms +Teapot highlights this). The teapot lines are just the icing on the cake, man is making a MOVE on the traveler for REAL by asking him out and showing how he wants to spend more time with them.

Xiao - I feel like despite how common this pair is, it's quite overlooked just how much Xiao trusts and admires the traveler. Xiao is very sensitive about people calling him by his name to use it to control him (that is what his old master did to him) so the fact that he tells only the traveler (not just suggest mind you) to call him anywhere anytime using HIS NAME, are massive displays of vulnerability, trust and protectiveness. (I believe that protection is his main way of showing affection because others are currently an anomaly to him) Xiao also both literally and emotionally feels a calming presence around them because of their healing ability and kindness. He also just can't say no to them, and wants to understand the traveler more even if it means in partaking in "dumb human activities"

Ayaka - She sees so much freedom and beauty in the traveler it is so sweet, and it's quite obvious how much she wants to spend time and be closer with the traveler emotionally (maybe I am just a simp but please she is so tender and sincere) It is also mentioned repeatedly how much she talks about them in very high regard. Once again the teapot lines are just the sugary coat on top with "May I...hold your hand?" being one of them (I screamed like I just won 50/50 in one pull with that line)

!! SMALL SPOILER TO WANDERER'S STORY QUEST !!

The old lady of the Kamisato Estate also mentions how thrilled Ayaka is every time they're around, and also talked about how talented and admirable they are. She also implied that they are Ayaka's "Knight in Shining Armor" and that she talks about them all the time. Idk if you need anymore convincing at this point of how much Ayaka likes the traveler after that.

SIDE NOTE : I find it refreshing and fascinating how the genders actually seem quite mixed and what relationships characters have with the traveler are varied. I really appreciate the writing team for the amount of detail they put into them!

Information and Questions about UniteVerse!!

Ah, hello! My name is Maple, and I'm writing this post to info dump about UniteVerse! All sections of this post will have a little opening thingy so you know when the topic changes lol, since this is a lot of information I'm giving everyone reading- Firstly, we'll start with the cast of UniteVerse's personalities, then we'll get on with everything else!

The Cast and their personalities: Ink: A mix of canon, his UnderVerse personality, and fanon (but just a lot less bitchy and more patient) Error: It's practically non existent, because he's just a robot and can't technically feel anymore Nightmare: Calm and vigilant, but he's still also bossy and short tempered. He just has a lot more patience now Dream: Almost exactly like canon, although he has less patience now- (and he's basically an evil scientist now hehe) Killer: Kind of the same as canon? Maybe? He's a lot more quiet now and just a bit more distant, rarely anyone sees him anymore except for Nightmare Cross: Supportive and quiet, but his personality doesn't exactly matter because he's dead- Horror: Patient and protective, although he's infected so it doesn't matter- Murder: Canon personality with the addition of him being a bit more louder and expressive, but he's infected- Swap: Canon. But he's infected lmao- Science: Stern and strict, short tempered, but has a softer side to him Reaper/Death: Rare person to see, but he's non-talkative anymore and rarely socializes Geno: Canon ig? But, he's dead- Lust: Protective and commanding, still has his sense of style and that lovely personality! There's likely going to be others in UniteVerse, but they either hold no importance to the story or I'm debating on adding them in. Backstory. Some sort of accident within the multiverse (have yet to decide what it may be, probably has to do smth with the whole "balance" thing you sometimes see in other ppl's AUs), and said accident causes a huge problem that could cost everyone's lives

In this silly little multiverse, the Stars & Bad Sanses are forced to put everything behind them and leave it for later, until they can save themselves from death. (Then they'll get back to their whole fight thingys, but that doesn't happen for a long time) Lots of people get injured, some die, and some just get redesigns. Lots of incidents happen in the story that cause holes in the roads, for instance Error almost dying and having to basically be turned into a robot to stay alive, Ink having to become a medic/scientist, and alot of other shit-

It's smth I'm really proud of, and the whole basic idea came from an idea my 10-11 yr old self came up with named "The End Of Us All" which will never be an official thing- The multiverse is obviously not completed yet, but I like to post little things about the characters I've made so far in it and develop it more overtime!

The Completed Cast so far. I got Error, Ink, Killer, Nightmare, Cross, Dream, Swap, Horror, Murder, Science, and Lust all completed (design wise) and what their roles are in this multiverse! Here they are! -Dream & Nightmare are basically just the leaders of the two subdivisions, them also being Scouters. (A Scouter is basically just a medic or a Scientist at this point, but most of them have labelled names. For instance, Ink. Ink's labelled name is SC-1 bc he's the first Scouter out of them. Dream and Nightmare are SC-3 and SC-4.) -Cross was a medic but bro is dead now so- -Killer's just...existing atp (idk what he is yet, if anyone wants to give me an idea go right ahead!) -Error is going to become either something tech related, a mechanic, or smth else- -Ink's the main medic/scientist! He's also a Scouter, as mentioned earlier. -Murder was the second Scouter within the two teams! His label was SC-2. But, unfortunately for him, during an attempt to retrieve something on the surface, he was turned into an infected. -Horror was an assistant Scouter for Murder, who went on the same mission as Murder. Trying to get back to one of the entries of the bases, he was scratched on the forehead by an infected Murder, and was turned into an infected weeks later -Swap wasn't exactly given a role, mainly because I have no idea what his role should be. BUT!!! He's an infected, but there seems to be something different about him from the rest of them. . . -Science was a lone Scouter, working by himself and not with the others. He finds it more beneficial for him to work alone than to work with everyone else. Well, apart from Ink, he tends to work with Ink sometimes. -Lust is a type of commander, not sure over what yet, but he’s a big help for Dream and a trusted member. He’s still his usual self, but like stated earlier, he’s more protective and commanding, and he knows how to get the job done properly.

The Infected. The infection turns a perfectly normal person, human or monster, into a violent creature/being, losing any and all sanity and becoming a mindless beast. The symptoms before changing are: Hostility. Bleeding constantly from one spot on the body. (example: the ear) Loss of memory. Either loss of appetite or heavy appetite. (this changes depending on the person) Signs of potential insanity. A crazed look in the infected's eyes. A minute before someone starts to turn, they seek comfort from a person who brings them some form of comfort (who is usually dead), but are unable to get said comfort.

Some Fun Facts! (WILL HELP WITH PIECING TOGETHER LORE.) 1: Cross was killed in the same accident that almost killed Error 2: Dream is an anti-hero, and basically what you'd call an evil scientist lol 3: Some people have similar gloves to Scouters 4: There is no known way to restore the sanity in an infected or turn them back. 5: He may not seem like it, but Science is a huge importance to the story 6: The DT twins have a semi-decent relationship. They're on decent terms, but they tend to get bitchy with each other often 7: The loss of Cross and Swap is causing for Dream to be on the edge of his breaking point constantly  8: When Murder was still alive, he and Horror would go on missions that involved the surface and having to retrieve something in there 9: Ink is able to pick up on details quickly to piece together a situation 10: Ink tends to write logs about different things. From patients (aka people who might be infected, ppl who are sick, etc.,) to information about the infected, to past incidents he wants to get off his chest. He has a log book for almost everything 11: Science plays a huge importance in Swap's story, you'll know why eventually 12: Error remembers nothing after the explosion, apart from his name and age. Everything else has been wiped from his memory 13: Killer broke his arm by trying to kill an infected 14: Ink amputated half his arm to prevent himself from turning into an infected after being scratched in the wrist by one 15: If you've been scratched by an infected, pray that it's hit somewhere you can amputate or else you're fucked 16: Nightmare accidentally caused Cross' death, you'll know why eventually 17: Killer is almost always never around 18: Swap died protecting Ink from an infected, leaving Ink with constant survivours guilt 19: Ink lost Broomie near the start of the infection 20: The infection has a chance of making the multiverse fall

Q1. I wanna ask, what took Cross' life? Is it the same incident that almost killed Error? Q2. What does the other sanses roles in this multiverse? Do they just exist, or, dead? Q3. Where is the main cast staying at? Q4. From the roles, i suspect there will be an apocalypse happening? Or am I wrong?

A1: What took Cross' life was a freakish explosion. Error was involved in the same accident, so yes! A2: Some of them exist, some dead, some alive. Usually roles come to me when making the characters, although sometimes I get ideas for their roles before hand! A3: The main cast are all hidden within two different bases underground! One base that is mainly meant for the Stars, and the other one for the Bad Sanses. They use an underground path system to travel to and from their bases so they don't risk going onto the surface and dying. (Ink also tends to stay at the medical facility in the Bad Sanses base to mostly take care of Error, since he doesn't want to risk him doing something that'll accidentally kill himself.) (They also have 2 separate backup bases that are extremely far from the Main bases, but the backups are for if the main bases get overrun by the infected.) A4: It's some form of apocalypse, mainly just a murderous infection though lol

Hi again, this is the third question (with several options), sorry. And it's mostly related to the brothers of fire and earth, they had a lot of potential, like the Beifong family.

But I have a lot of ideas for AUs in my head.

1)Dark Avatar Bolin (A bit comical, the Great spirit chaos and darkness is trapped inside a 16 year old earthbender/lavabender) Maybe imagine that Mako and Bolin's ancestor who lived 10,000 years ago merged with Vaatu during a Harmonic Convergence and it was passed down from generation to generation. And released inside Bolin during another Harmonic Convergence (Mako will have heart failure due to stress lol)

2)Avatar!Mako When he gets caught by the White Lotus, he doesn't want to let go of his little brother. He has serious anger issues, the first Avatar who has a relative to take care of.

3) Mako accidentally injures his younger brother

4) Mako and Bolin are adopted by the Beifong family. Either Lin or Su.

(You answer one, I have too many ideas, sorry)

1.

actually Bolin as a Dark Avatar would be really interesting. Since we don't really seem to have a framework for what a Dark Avatar is meant to do other than Unalaq, who was still just following his own agenda. Like, how much control would Vaatu have over Bolin's actions. Would he be able to possess Bo when he's, for example in the Avatar State? Or would it be more like:

Though if we're giving Vaatu a more nuanced storyline, I can see him being a more sympathetic character. Where in canon he was portrayed as basically just the evil version of Raava, he could just be seen as a spirit of chaos and change, which spurrs on evolution and development, and of "darker" urges like anger, which are still important to humans in moderation.

I honestly think it would be very interesting to see Bolin containing that type of energy because he's kind of a pushover and is pretty resistant to change.

So seeing him perhaps learn from Vaatu to stand up for himself, express negative emotions, become independent and more self assured would be a very fun arc to follow.

I also wonder how being trapped 24/7 with Bolin's bubbly ass would affect Vaatu I think he'd either go insane or he'd get a redemption arc. I can see Vaatu becoming increasingly attached to Bolin, starting off with a bit of a "we share this body so I'm gonna put you in the Avatar State when you're in danger" type of thing to genuine attachment and caring.

2.

Honestly poor Mako I think he would just have a heart attack at 20 at this rate. Though he would be an interesting Avatar to follow, especially that while he is a kind person, his main concern is keeping himself and Bolin safe. I can also see him bearing a bit of a "why should I save Republic Citu or smth they let me and my bro be homeless" type of inner conflict.

I also really like the idea of Lin being the one to teach him earthbending lol. Lin sees this broody teen avatar and decides she has to protect him lol

Bolin would probably be more hyped about this than Mako lol. He'd be Mako's biggest supporter all the time Mako is just like "oh god how am I gonna fit this into my schedule".

3.

I honestly have thought of this concept before a couple times. I think usually Mako is very careful around Bolin, but I can see a high stress situation making him slip up. In a darker tineline, where they get more involved with the triads, I can see the triad members making the brothers spar and train against each other, which could result in one of them getting hurt. In Republic City Hustle we saw that Mako was more willing to go along with triad shenanigans than Bolin, so I can see him being pushed if there's something on the line. Like they're not allowed ro eat if they don't fight or smth.

Though I think Mako would feel so guilty however he hurt Bolin. Like I already think he has trauma around firebending since his parents were killed by a firebender, so injuring his own brother might give him a nasty case of Jeong Jeong syndrome and selth loathing.

I can totally see Bolin trying to brush it off to not worry Mako, but Mako would still hate himself.

4.

I've kinda thought about the boys getting adopted by Lin and Su. Maybe not in terms of actual adoption but kinda in more of a ward situation.

The concept of Lin arresting Mako and Bolin for some minor crime and realising they have nowhere to go, so she takes them in for a little, just until she finds a family to take them in. But there being two of them, being older and having criminal pasts, they might nor be to easy to get adopted.

So they live with Lin and she ends up getting attached, despite herself.

I think Mako is probably very distrustful of her at first, and thry argue a lot, but grow to trust each other and have a begrudging respect for one another, which later becomes actual affection.

And I feel like the moment little Bolin learns that Lin is a Beifong he would just, like, Grab onto her leg and not let go. Like he immediately is very affectionate and friendly and Lin is just baffled. I think she's mildly annoyed, but also with Bolin being a child, she might have an easier time believeing he's genuine.

Now, the boys being 'adopted' by Suyin would take a bit of narrative managing, since Suyin lives in Zaofu, but if for exame she was in Republic City for business or something and found two kids eating out of a dumpster, I would not put it past Su to go "mine now ☺️" and just fucking take them home and give them motherly love or smth.

With how different Zaofu is from RC, it would be interesting to see the boys adapt to it. And we can have a childhood friends/growing up together weilin Au which is always very nice. Tbh I think they'd hate each other as kids at first.

I csn see Bolin being a little more self assured in this AU, since Suyin seems like a very reassuring person. And if metalbending truly is tied to mindset, I could see Bolin metalbending in this AU.

man. that most made me remember smth about the act 5 bigfrin fight and thats how Odile was on the DRAW with the attacks before she was stopped. first blood even. it felt like in that moment she had already done the math in her head and went "if it has to happen i'd rather lose one siffrin than lose mirabelle, isabeau and bonnie too"

she says she's defending herself but i really doubt she means it in the way that "oh yeah, obviously, i'd stab someone who's saying they're gonna stab me first." i think she just can't admit that she's ready to do terrible things to protect and shield the others since the whole snack convos never happened in the act 5 timeline

that + she's probably just straight up panicking for good reason w/o thinking clearly because she drops the murder so quickly once everyone else resolves to use their words

Okay okay okay so I had to sit down and actually rewatch this moment because I was like. Oh my god wait. How did Odile attack first? She's not as fast as Siffrin? And in the tutorial event she specifically asks everyone else to slow down so she can go first! Well, that's cause Siffrin attacked Euphrasie first and the others weren't prepared to attack or do anything but Odile was! Order of events is that Odile asks Siffrin what's happening and calls his name, Euphrasie realizes what's happening and calls out, Siffrin BREAKS DOWN and pushes Euphrasie away (physical action that might have hurt her), and then Odile attacks. Siffrin used their turn because they were already in a fight at that point in time! And it allowed Odile to attack! And she did so because at the time Siffrin had proved that he would attack! Even if that's not true to the context of the events leading up to this! Ooohhhh that's making me lose it. Your so right she saw someone she cared for say that they won't let anyone home (Bonnie needs to go home) and then initiate a fight (they would lose against Siffrin if they hold back, he just almost beat the king without them) and they just insulted her family history (her new family can not be taken from her, not again) and he physically attacked someone in front of them that is VERY IMPORTANT to Mirabelle (willing to harm others to get their way). In her mind it makes sense! It makes sense to attack! Because shes defending herself and her family that she only just got! Its crazy!!! Dear god!!! (Also she didn't use Rock. She used Paper. Instinctively she went to her basic attack craft type because! This isn't what she thought she would be doing! She thought shed be attacking the King, a rock type!!)

Also delighted to note that Bonnie angrily crying over not hurting friends is what both Odile and Siffrin react to, something that Mirabelle and Isabeau do not react to, which makes me sadly giggle. It really is the child that has them wrapped around their finger. Iirc this is also the dialogue where attacking your friends is denied and Siffrin calls the thoughts out as intrusive thoughts. Grrrrr grrrrrrrrrr

I'm beginning to believe the 'Lilith told Alastor to go to the hotel' theory, so here are my ever-so-important-you-can't-live-without-needed thoughts on it.

Spoilers I think?

Okay uh- I don't buy into a lot of the stuff people say about it, but I do think she's the one who owns his soul. The 7 year disappearance is a bit specific to point out if it meant nothing.

SO! First thing, her intentions with sending him to the hotel. It could have been three things. To get him to screw it over (which I don't believe since he hasn't done anything to accomplish that), to ensure it succeeds (which I also doubt because although he's apparently been helpful, he hasn't done anything to actively help with the redemption stuff), or to protect Charlie (which I think is the most likely. Lilith can't be there for her daughter because she's busy with something.

Which leads me to point two, the reason the deal was made. We don't know for sure why it happened, but I heavily doubt Alastor could be tricked into making a deal, and (please correct me if I'm wrong) I'm pretty sure Viv mentioned somewhere that he wasn't really interested in power. This leads me to believe that he HAD to. As for what put him in such a vulnerable position, I have no idea. Maybe he got an angelic stabbing during his last fight with Vox or smth and agreed to give her his soul in exchange for help? Who knows. Anyway, I'm still completely clueless on the 7 year absense. What was bro doing?

Anyway, point three! I don't believe the deal would have been made upon Alastor's arrival to hell. No one knew or cared who he was until the radio broadcasts, there'd be no reason for Lilith to bother with him, and again, I doubt he'd be stupid enough to sell his soul unless he had to. So the deal was likely made AFTER his rise to power. I'm also inclined to believe it happened during the his 7 year absense somewhere. I don't have evidence for this I just think it makes sense.

So Alastor spawned, killed a bunch of powerful overloads, got into some sort of situation (likely one that would end his not-life), and was forced to make a deal with Lilith. From there we don't know but at the end of the 7 year poofing, Lilith begins getting voice messages of Charlie's plan with the hotel, and sends Alastor over (I don't think she sent him RIGHT after her last voicemail. It was just a bit too quick). He sees her on the picture box and figured he might as well see what she's doing if he's gonna have to put up with her.

And that's why he's there! Yay! Theories! None of this is actively confirmed, but my thoughts on it.

And now I'm gonna ramble about their dynamic because I'm an annoying nerd.

So this here. The scene from the pilot when he looks at the family portrait,

It's subtle but he does that narrow his eyes and bigger smile thing a number times for a number of reasons, but I don't think this one is hatred. In the comic with Vox, all it took was seeing his face on a screen and he started mumbling insults down the street until he got distracted by something else. And this does matter because if he wasn't on decent terms with Lilith, he'd probably hate her more just because of the soul thing. Now I know he hates the fact that she owns his soul (if I'm correct), but that doesn't mean he'd have to hate her.

Even if this wasn't much proof, he doesn't go into the hotel with any resentment towards Charlie. He already decided he hated Lucifer when they met but Charlie was fine. I also think he was interested in the entertainment as a side thing, since he'd have to make this tolerable somehow (and give himself some sense of control over what he's doing), hence why he insisted on helping rather than just watching. He doesn't glare at Charlie (and in referring to the pilot since that's where to met) and in fact seems to be alright with her. Given his habit of throwing Vaggie (leave her alone bro TmT) when he didn't even know her, I believe if he was on bad terms with Lilith, he would be trying to screw with Charlie in any way that doesn't put her at risk.

I'm guessing he was on decent terms with Lilith dispite it all, it was mentioned that he gets along with women better, and his interactions with Lucifer only solidify this with me.

Look, I love dad Alastor, but 1, they didn't have enough episodes to actually explore this and 2, even if he cared even the slightest bit for Charlie at this point (which I want to believe), that song was heavily exaggerating their relationship entirely to piss off her dad.

So Lucifer shows up and Al immediately tries to kill him through glaring. It's possible his own dad was crappy so he projected a bit on Lucifer, or that he just didn't like crappy parents, but I think it was because his absense was likely spend with Lilith, who Charlie confirmed had split up with her dad before her disappearance, and probably wasn't very happy with him, giving Al a bad impression before they even met.

And now for Mimzy. I love all of Alastor's friends, he's so good at finding them. Anyway, she shows up and although Alastor already knows what that means, he let's her. I think he knew she was going to bring people for him to kill and he was already in a bad mood so he needed someone to take that out on. However, when he saw the damage to the hotel, he realized he couldn't do that because it put Charlie in danger (now I don't know if this had anything to do with him actually caring at all, because if he'd get punished if Charlie was killed, there'd be no wonder as to why he sent her away even if he personally didn't care).

Then there's his random disappearances throughout the show. Mimzy said he hasn't 'done any if that in a while', in reference to killing people and broadcasting their screams, so although he's active again, he still isn't killing people quite yet. Despite this, there have been two episodes now where he was quite literally nowhere to be seen, with no indication of where he went. I'm guessing he has to go chat with Lilith every now and then to catch her up on what's going on in the hotel and with her daughter.

Also I couldn't find anywhere to fit this, but I'm guessing Lilith sent him over because she figured the hotel would attract terrible people and knew Charlie doesn't fight, so why not send the screams broadcasting radio demon over? No one fucks with him so why not?

So TLDR; Alastor became powerful boi in hell, got screwed over and had to make a deal with Lilith, she heard her daughter was running a hotel that would attract crappy people and sent him over to protect her. He randomly disappears to tell update her on what's going on. They're on decent terms but he hates the fact that she owns his soul.
