Prompt 205

Now let it be said that not a single one of their team (“Does it count as a team if it’s just the three of us?” “Um, what about the Superman clone here??” “Four was the same number of the original League, so yeah we’re a team!”) were expecting to stumble across much of anything deeper in the Cadmus Labs. 

They’d already discovered- and released- the super secret super-boy clone after all, so that was the big thing discovered and taken care of! Only they had uh, found something else, another tube even deeper with the room practically frozen, while trying to find the way out. 

Now normally, opening the big tube would be a bad idea! But they had a bunch of creatures and security and whoever else on their tails, and hey, why not fight fire with fire and escape while everything was distracted? 

Only when things start to defrost they- the sidekicks who are not sidekicks thanks- are really alarmed and starting to worry about what the fuck is inside. Because the cryogenic-liquid-whatever tube is way bigger than they thought, and the files that Robin hacked refers to whatever is inside as a quote, potentially world-ending dangerous entity. 

And it’s not even fully defrosted before it starts to break free. One clawed hand- and then another, and another and another- grip onto the broken material, green dripping from where tubes were shrugged free. Its hair shifts and weaves in the air as though underwater, opalescent and each strand shimmering a different color. 

It’s absolutely massive, humanoid with long tapered ears and a cacophony of differently shaped horns floating above its head. They’re wary, suddenly remembering every single lecture about dangerous unknowns as it shakes the liquid from a body that appears almost scaled, eight arms easily lifting itself so that it may step out. 

They’re also suddenly reminded of the danger they’re in from other things when there’s a crash against the door, like one of those gynomorph tank things had slammed against it. It also causes the being’s head to snap up from where they were seemingly watching the liquid pool beneath them, nine eyes opening from their previously half-lidded position. 

A deep rumbling noise echoed around the room as it stopped slouching, showing just how tall it was while three tails lashed in what was obviously some sort of agitation. When they speak, it’s not in any language the three of them know, but Superboy’s head snaps from the door towards them, eyes suddenly wide in child-like wonder.

Okay, so, about this post I think I have a few names for the VTM OC magazine art series i’m planning (these are both from suggestions and things I made up earlier in class lmao)

So basically how this works is that I draw random VTM OCs every month in a magazine cover style :3 character submissions are definitely okay (well, I’ll open the submission thingy when I can lmao). I don’t know if I’ll add a back cover probably not because I’m a Grian fan and I take well after him :)

Also, I’m also thinking of adding an interview thing for this. Like interviewing the OCs lmao. For the sillies of course♥️

“Why are you still wearing pants?” Eddie complains, hands fumbling with Buck’s belt buckle, but with much less finesse than Buck, way too hurried, getting another laugh out of Buck, and aside from the insane arousal and desire, Eddie is washed over by a wave of fondness. Eddie could spend the rest of his life just listening to his laughter. And he’s going to. Because they’re married. He married his best friend, and now he gets him forever. His heart is so full of love and happiness, he doesn’t know what else to do than to just kiss Buck again, deeply and passionately, hands abandoning Buck’s belt – thankfully Buck takes over and rids himself of his pants quickly enough, then helping Eddie fully out of his own, all while not breaking the kiss once. 

“Better?” Buck asks, pulling away to raise his eyebrow at him. Eddie just nods eagerly, eyes raking all over Buck’s chest. He licks his lips, turning them both around, so now Buck’s back is towards the bed, and takes another few steps forward, until the backs of Buck’s knees hit the bed. Then he pushes Buck onto it gently, and he goes easily, looking up at Eddie with a loving smile and a hungry look in his eyes.

Listening to the new episode of Vows and Vengeance, I think I finally settled on a concept that I'd like to play for a Taash romance

I was rotating a few different ones in my head (originally wanted another dwarfette, but.... including my Warden, that'd be my bloody fifth lol), but, it having been revealed that she hates the undead and the only background I don't yet have a character for being the Mourn Watch... it's like a dude just sprung from my head fully formed like fuckin Pallas Athene

Like, you know how somehow characters are less named, and more they just... kinda introduce themselves? So this guy is Marcus (which I think works quite well with "Ingellvar", it sounds nice- I think someone once said that "Ingellvar" means something like "guardian of Ing", pairing that with a Latin "dedicated to Mars" would work for the background I only just now read quite nicely) (speaking of, yet another foundling, putting a pin in that), and he'll be a tall and scrawny, young, accident-prone necromancer- his feelings on that matter would definitely take too long to detail lol.

Not only is he going to probably look like a kind of weird-looking Victorian street urchin you immediately want to feed warm soup upon meeting (or, on the other end, insufferably pretty and dainty but sopping wet nevertheless), I'm thinking that he'll also need to be pulled out of mortal danger pretty much constantly (in part because I always suck at mage gameplay and find it annoying, so I'm giving myself some room to fail there lol). He's definitely a guy they pulled as Rook more because of his academic prowess and magical knowledge, rather than his combat abilities.

But, he will take one look at Taash, and immediately fall ass over teakettle.

(I mean ffs, she's tall, she's strong, she's beautiful, she weighs at least twice as much as him, her biceps are the size of his head- what's not to love, honestly. Is he unsure whether he's scared or horny? Absolutely. But if there's one thing he's down for, it's finding out.)

(kind of laughing already at the thought of her needing to very patiently explain to her prettyboy magical savant that the reason they can't do cowgirl is that she would absolutely and inevitably snap his pelvis in half.)

(I also quite like that it would in no way be a "touch her and you'll be sorry" type of an MF ship, but rather a "touch me and she'll make you sorry". Very "you've hurt me? oh, you're so fucked. Oh man, RIP, I'm almost sorry about what's gonna happen to you. I can perform your last rites right now if you like, you'll need them".)

......... That gives me one character for each background, and the opportunity to double up on one, if I happen to think of something for Bellara after all, and just say that my Lords of Fortune character only uses Laidir as one of her many aliases. (I had been meaning to do that anyway, I want her to be Orzammar-born, and that name doesn't sound very dwarfy.)

No word count picture b/c it was only like a hundred words in the document today (I swear it's like pulling teeth right now) BUT I did finish editing the first chapter of this long fic. Right now the plan is to read it one final time for spelling and grammar, then fuck it we ball.

Hoping to have it posted tomorrow night, but considering I've never posted to AO3 before and may hit a snag with the tags we shall see.

If not tomorrow then Monday night (I have work all weekend, and when I saw all weekend, I mean when I'm not at work I'll be sleeping. Twelve hour shifts will do that (at least it's only three days a week hehehehehe)).

6. What is the most underrated fic you've written?

Oh, absolutely Black Ace. I think because it's got younger, submissive Wade, my usual crowd simply pretends it doesn't exist. It's also an AU, disconnected heavily from the source, and that absolutely plays a role too because that's really not everyone's cup of tea. I don't personally read a lot of AU works, so I'm not judging. (I also haven't updated it in a few months, so, uh)

14. Favorite fic idea that never came to fruition?

I wrote, like, at least ten pages of this really fucked up one where Wade purposefully would leave for long periods of times because he really enjoyed how needy Peter got when he came back. It was dark, and made me sad in a bad way, so I never went back to it. I too, have avoidant attachment disorder lol

Wade huffs behind Spider-Man, they’re creeping through a warehouse trying to stealth up to an illegal gun deal. It feels very ironic to be involved in this, but Wade really is taking every opportunity to be glued to Spider-Man’s side. Especially because he’s currently chugging water, mask pulled up high enough to see the freckles on his noses in the cracks of light coming in from the fucked up roof.

Wade is in love. He’s in love and his dick is hard, and he hypocritically is about to bust some guys for buying heavy weaponry. What a life.
