hey anon! not stupid at all! yes, we’re not looking at submissions to that google form until we formally announce it, it’s just linked and open so that people can look through it beforehand! that being said, it’s not an issue if any are submitted earlier (we have a few already!) just know we won’t start looking at them until mid next week!

WANTED ON ALL WAS WELL: THE BROTHERS GRIMM

The turmoil caused by the Drain curse has caught the attention of the Brothers Grimm, a vigilante group of ragtag animagi. Not favoring the way the Ministry has tried to play down recent affairs, whether it has been to prevent hysteria or save their own skin, the Brothers Grimm vowed to bring the offenders to justice themselves. While in the past, their focus was on taking out wizarding gangs, after one of their own men was cursed and killed, the group turned their sights on something larger and more sinister. Some see the Brothers Grimm as heroes and are rallying behind them. Others, for exactly what they are - dangerous and out for revenge. The Ministry has sent their best hit wizards to contain them to no avail. United under a common cause, they won't stop until they have justice.

"When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. In the days before God washed away the sins of the world, a disgusting monstrosity had walked the earth amongst mankind. The Nephilim, were they so christened, born from the earthly womb of human women, and the divine seed of God's own heavenly sons (or angels, as some call them), they sprung forth into the world from such a dark and evil union, creatures of terrifying beauty and insatiable hunger. Like Eve, they wanted to sink their teeth into everything, like Lucifer, they wanted to wrap the world in sin, and remake it in their own image. God was angered by this, he had not fathomed his own sons would become so tempted by the beauty of earth, turn against him and their holy vows, and spread their divine seed across the world (in fact, he had not even known it was possible). A betrayal, one near as terrible as that of Lucifer in the Garden of Eden, and in his rage, God cast down all those angels that had found love and lust within human women. Those angels fell like stars from the sky, and were welcomed into the mouth of hell for the rest of eternity. Four hundred years past, and still, God let the Nephilim roam the earth, frightening and terrible beasts, but they wore the faces of both of his favorite creations- how could he destroy them? They were so beautiful, so perfect, despite the disgusting nature that writhed like a snake beneath their flawless flesh... but as time went on, the corruption and horror these creatures inflicted onto humanity could no longer be ignored... So God sent the floods to cleanse the earth. His tears falling from heaven to bathe the world in their purity, drowning out all the terrible things he had allowed to transpire for near half a millennium. His sobs were the thunder, his weeping the deluge of rain. And soon, the whole mess was forgotten, fading away into the depths of human history, now just a legend from some far-gone world. But what the world didn't know, what God, didn't know, was that his grandchildren were not so easily slain, nor would they be so easily forgotten- their remnants scattered across the globe, they slowly clawed their way back to their former glory. And the heavens are no longer answering our prayers...

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES is a 21+ dark fantasy, vampire horror roleplay set in an alternate timeline of human history, in what we know as Imperial Russia. There will be themes of political and court intrigue, gothic horror, violence, war, (low) magic, grimdark and (low) fantasy elements. Not pictured is the profile, because it's hard to get screenshots of it when tumblr mobile only lets you post 10 photos at a time. But rest assured, profiles work just fine on mobile!

All mobile testing was done on an iPhone 11 running iOS 16.5 using Safari, but was cross-tested on a windows laptop using Chrome's device toggle. So there may be some differences on your devices, but they shouldn't be drastic.

Fiddlehead is rife with history and local culture - where will you live?

What neighborhood your character lives is important, and each character will choose their neighborhood of residence as part of creating their profile. This informs who their neighbors are, who they might see on a daily basis, and what they encounter as they traverse the Fiddlehead scene. 

ALDER’S GARDEN

The historic residential district of Fiddlehead is home to several beautiful Queen Anne style townhouses, with larger homes of the same styling capping each street with lush gardens. Homes are large, unique, beautiful, and expensive — just don’t expect to get air conditioning. The laws surrounding the historical buildings don’t allow for much in the way of modern amenities, but for those who care for these old homes, the charm of their history is worth it.

SEACLIFF

The cliffsides along the Oregon Coast are sheer and rocky, but they make for incredible views. Homes in Seacliff are generally new construction, as building along the unstable cliffsides often resulted in landslides and the loss of the house itself until foundational engineering became available. The waterfront property comes with a high price tag, but incredible sunsets and the soothing lull of waves — if you don’t mind the barking of sealions nearby Otter's Gulch, of course.

EVERGREEN POINT

Nestled right up against the edge of Heartwood National Park, this district is home to several single-family homes perfect for all walks of life, from newlyweds just starting out to retirees looking for a place to host the grandkids. With a strong sense of community and civic spirit, this is the kind of place where everyone knows the neighbors. And likely their neighbor’s business, too.

ASHLEIGH PARK

This neighborhood is primarily the many apartments, condos, townhouses and duplexes designed for those passing through to attend Ashleigh University, but it is also home to many of the faculty and staff that work there and other young people just getting their start on their own. While it looks like a patchwork quilt of architectural styles with buildings developed separately over the course of several years, it has benefited from the creativity of the students that call it home for the majority of the year. Murals and statues spring up with regularity, and flowerbeds and community gardens spring up from even the tiniest slivers of unused land between structures.

OTTER’S GULCH

While there are no truly dangerous parts of Fiddlehead, Otter’s Gulch is considered one of the less desirable places to live in the area. A collection of salt-crusted and ill-maintained properties and apartment buildings that change hands often, occupants are accustomed to fixing leaky rooves and cracked windows themselves if they want it done. If you have something to hide, this is the place to do so. People in Otter’s Gulch mind their own business, and expect their neighbors to do the same.

FIDDLEHEAD ENVIRONS

The Northern side of Fiddlehead is dominated by the national park, and the Southern side is predominantly farms, ranches, orchards, and vineyards. Within these outskirt zones, many make their livelihoods working the land or protecting the forests. Country homes, log cabins, and everything in between provide Fiddleheaders who live a little further out with plenty of options to get away from the hustle and bustle of town.

HEARTWOOD NATIONAL PARK

a metamorphmagus with a happy-go-lucky, nothing can tear me down, class clown attitude, “ezekiel” is the eldest adoptee of the boot-corner family. a unique goofball that is disturbingly brilliant and causing havoc within st. mungo’s! as a cursed character in the st. mungo’s subplot, his magic will slowly be deteriorating. somedays it might work better than others, and often he might find himself unable to do anything with this new learning curve. but who cares right? he’s soooo happy! his first name is up to you, he is part filipino, and between the ages of 25-28. we ask that he be a ravenclaw, and the comedic relief of the family (and site really). we would love evan mock but face is open!
