The turmoil caused by the Drain curse has caught the attention of the Brothers Grimm, a vigilante group of ragtag animagi. Not favoring the way the Ministry has tried to play down recent affairs, whether it has been to prevent hysteria or save their own skin, the Brothers Grimm vowed to bring the offenders to justice themselves. While in the past, their focus was on taking out wizarding gangs, after one of their own men was cursed and killed, the group turned their sights on something larger and more sinister. Some see the Brothers Grimm as heroes and are rallying behind them. Others, for exactly what they are - dangerous and out for revenge. The Ministry has sent their best hit wizards to contain them to no avail. United under a common cause, they won't stop until they have justice.

Ribbons of water lash against the windows, beating a steady rhythm into the frosted glass; the prim silence of the campus library is torn apart by the scratch of upholstered chairs against imported rugs and the echo of textbooks stacked haphazardly on top of one another. One by one, a smattering of students turn their backs upon the endless rows of ancient publications and smoking candelabras and squeeze through the rain-slick doors of Lethbridge Library like a colony of ants. The silence that follows is temporary, the hush perforated by the slow approach of Oxfords on slate and sandstone

A silhouette emerges from between the crowded rows of limited edition encyclopedias; they raise a hand and tuck their thumb and forefinger between their lips, the gesture captured in flickering relief upon an adjacent wall. They whistle once and wait in the ensuing silence, eyes sweeping the endless cache of ledgers and literature until they land upon the rounded edge of a shoulder, the pointed toe of a maroon brogue, a hand skimming the edge of an old banister. One by one, an assortment of wry smiles are exchanged in quiet greeting before the quartet moves as a single shadow to navigate the narrow arteries of mahogany shelves and scalloped pages

These are the minds behind what some are whispering to be the Fourth Unforgivable Curse: Desiccatum Magus, or Drain - a curse that nullifies a user's ability to use magic. It doesn't happen immediately. It starts slowly, gradually draining the wixen's magical abilities over a course of days and weeks before leaving them completely powerless, and in some cases, comatose. pansy never grew out of her mean-spirited ways. she went from a hogwarts bully to a thick-skinned and cutthroat prosecutor at wizengamot. while she is far from what most would consider a likeable woman, she is quite respected for the cases she has won and found a productive channel for her sadistic tendencies. her tie to the courtrooms is a useful connection for the horsemen. she plays the role of informant. she is fiercely loyal to silas and the cause, which has made her something of his "secondhand woman." as fierce as she seems, pansy always did do best when she had someone to vie over, after all. she feeds on silas' approval like its sustenance.

HIT WIZARD, 53, PUREBLOOD, JACK BLACK

alongside gale yaxley, goyle has been tasked with cursing the victims of silas avery's discretion. while avery sits on his throne and refuses to sully his hands, a lackey once again, goyle does the dirty work and carries out his commands. he serves as a hit wizard, whose position aids him in the mission and keeps suspicion at bay, as well as provides him with the skill of very powerful spellcasting capabilities. among this group of solemn faces, he is also somewhat of the "comic relief" and has a rather humorous demeanor (even if he's the only one who thinks so). but don't let that fool you, he is a powerful spellcaster.
