La magia es de todos y para todos. O así se creía al principio. Cuando el sistema del mundo empezó a cambiar, los poderosos se guardaron la magia para ellos mismos, reservaron la posibilidad de ser un gran mago solo para quienes podían pagarlo. A lo largo del mundo nacieron instituciones privadas que le permitieron el conocimiento mágico solo a las élites.

Durante el año 27 a.C., en algunos puntos del mundo surgieron extraños nodos de magia que contenían un poder inconmensurable en tres puntos distintos. Quienes los estudiaron llegaron a la conclusión de que su existencia era una fuente de poder para la humanidad, que al dominarlos se podían lograr grandes cosas, que podía dar vida y muerte, conocimiento y poder. Su custodia estuvo a manos de estudiosos, druidas, sacerdotes, reyes y videntes, hasta que poco a poco se rodearon de prestigiosas universidades: la Universidad Brigantia de Estudios Mágicos en una isla secreta al sur de la Isla de Mann, la Escuela de Artes Superiores de Mictlantecuhtli y la Universidad de Salem en Occidente. Se cree que otros nodos se pueden encontrar en zonas todavía no descubiertas del mundo.

Las escuelas que tuvieron la osadía y la valentía de edificarse alrededor del nodo, son consideradas poderosas, renombradas y autónomas; pero también han sido centro de la lucha de clases que ha gobernado al mundo desde siempre.

Con el paso del tiempo, las desventajas sociales se volvieron cada vez más marcadas en el mundo, al punto de que algunos magos no tenían ni siquiera acceso a educación mágica, canalizadores de magia y oportunidades. Los magos de élite que han dominado la magia académica creen que el derecho a la magia viene solo del estudio y el aprendizaje privilegiado.

A lo largo de la historia han surgido chispas de rebeldía ante este método: estudiantes autodidactas, profesores que se encargaban de llevar el conocimiento a los menos favorecidos, magos que practicaban solo magia antigua, todos castigados con dureza por las élites y apagados en distintas guerras y rebeliones.

En 1997, Hecate Seger, una poderosa bruja nacida de las élites, logró controlar el nodo mágico de Brigantia y empezó una guerra para esclavizar y dominar a la civilización menos afortunada con la magia negra y el asesinato como estandartes. Hécate creó a los Ejecutores, un grupo de radicales que se encargaban de investigar a posibles disidentes y asesinarlos (profesores sin licencia que enseñaban magia a otros, autodidactas, miembros de la llamada Resistencia).

Con el objetivo de dominar todos los nodos conocidos, movió su guerra y su gobierno a Salem, pero ahí encontró su perdición; primero con la creación de la Resistencia, un grupo de ciudadanos que se unieron en su contra y después con uno de sus oficiales, el licántropo Frank Nothomb, quien planeó un golpe de estado con la creación de un grupo secreto: W.A.N.D. (Wisdom and Necromancy Division), formado por magos elegidos por un vidente por sus capacidades mágicas y no por su poder adquisitivo, que aprendieron las artes de la magia negra y la nigromancia para luchar contra los ejércitos de Seger. Magia negra contra magia negra.

Seger perdió Salem y regresó a Brigantia, pero los ejércitos de Frank Nothomb la persiguieron y liberaron al nodo brigante y también a la universidad en lo que después sería conocida como La Gran Guerra. Un año después, WAND tuvo que volverse contra su creador, Frank Nothomb, cuando se convirtió él mismo en un dictador genocida. La Resistencia, por su parte, se volvió un partido político: la DMU.

Desde entonces ha comenzado un proceso para hacer el acceso a la magia más democrático: las universidades del mundo que se dedican a los estudios mágicos dan becas y oportunidades a quienes demuestran talentos excepcionales, también a quienes muestran aptitudes en exámenes de admisión.

Sin embargo, la sociedad sigue dividida en una lucha de clases constante, y también comienza a sospechar que WAND no es del todo la organización limpia que afirma ser. Después de todo, ¿quién puede confiar en nigromantes?

About Us:

Dark Days Have Come is a Mature (3-3-3) Next Generation Harry Potter site where none of the events of the cursed child occurred. We still have a wide variety of canon characters and families available. We use jcink premium and a profile application.

The muggle world knows about wizarding kind and are quietly developing a biological weapon in an attempt to stand against them. The Muggle Prime Minister is threatening the Wizarding world with war if they do not comply to demands of a register of magical beings. The Order is doing everything they can to keep the peace with the muggle world. Meanwhile, a new dark witch or wizard is gathering their own forces to take over the wizarding world and shape it to their beliefs. With the tensions rising and this dark group behind more and more attacks on muggles and wizards alike, where will you stand when dark days come?

Kyle McGregor (Suggested FC: Jonathan Rhys Meyers) - Age 45

Kyle is open to interpretation. He comes from a proud and traditional pureblood family that supported Voldemort in his wars. He has 5 sisters, 4 of which run the group Feodus Umbarum in secret. His other sister is a blood traitor and married a Weasley. He has a younger brother whom is a werewolf and stuck to the family traditions. If Kyle has stayed true to the family views, he is the heir to the family name. If you wish for him to have turned his back on his family like his sister, Lorna, he has likely been disowned from the family much as she has. The character is yours to define.

Albus Severus Potter (Suggested FC: David Mazouz) - Age 17

Albus is a 7th year sorted into Slytherin. The He has one older brother and an adopted little sister (Lily).

James Sirius Potter (Suggested FC: Isaac Hempstead Wright) - Age 19

James is the eldest child of Harry and Ginny Potter. He has graduated from Hogwarts and his chosen job is up to you. He has a little brother and an adopted little sister (Lily).

Elijah Forrester (Suggested FC: Robert Kazinsky) - Age: Open (Has three children, son aged 20 and the twins, 17)

Elijah is a muggle scientist and after the second war with Voldemort, the wizarding world couldn't hide from the muggles. The trauma and pain caused by Voldemort made the task of making the muggle communities forget a much to big task. The fear that ran through the muggle world as they learned of the existence of the magical, lead to the formation of a group called Angel. They run a laboratory that is trying to isolate the magical gene and devise a way to combat magic or to give it to their own and even the playing field. This has lead the group to taking muggleborn children in for testing. Elijah's oldest child has no magical traits but when his daughter showed signs of magic as a toddler, Elijah and his wife used the opportunity to gain valuable information. The order of the Phoenix would take her from them at 5. Her twin wouldn't show magic until later and was unknown to the order at the time, leading them to be able to use him until he was saved at 10. Elijah is very much a scientist first and a parent second.

William Arthur Weasley (Suggested FC: Domhnall Gleeson) - Age: 54

The eldest of the Weasley family, Bill married Fleur in the books and the two now have children (or they don't. His family can be changed to suit you). We currently have Percy, Fred, George, Ron and Ginny on the site for plot opportunities.

Charles Weasley (Suggested FC: Open) - Age: 52

Charlie is the second eldest Weasley brother and already has a daughter claimed on the site. In true Weasley style, Charlie married a daughter of Bellatrix Lestrange whom claimed to be different. To not believe in the purist ways and to only have been forced to help her family due to her mothers temperament. The two had three children, 1 boy and 2 girls, and adopted two muggleborn children that needed help. Tragedy fell on this family in the last summer holidays as the two adopted sons where killed when Feodus Umbarum attack. Amelia Weasley (Charlie's wife), is suspected to be dead as well, though she now hides in the side lines of Feodus Umbarum. During the attack at the Hogwarts Halloween celebrations in Hogsmeade, Charlie's eldest daughter was attacked and turned by a Vampire.

Friday, Nov. 3 ⸻ Member groups, subplots and locations will premiere early afternoon followed by our app form in the evening.

Saturday, Nov. 4 ⸻ Site open, members may register characters and submit them for review as profiles are completed.

Monday, Nov. 6 ⸻ Site is officially open for interactions.

Note: As this is a soft revamp for Death Knell with additional lore, our schedule is a bit expedited so that current members do not have to repeat the process of a lengthier buzz timeline and can return to interactions as soon as possible — your patience has been much appreciated, and we hope to see some new faces join us during this time!
