welsh remus guide pt.4
Fourth Part
Welcome back, lads. It’s time for slang, swearing, exclamations and terms of endearment. Buckle up, this is a long one.
Just to get it out of the way, I will begin by stating that, whilst a very romantic and poetic language, Welsh is not what I would personally rely on for dirty talk.
I’m sure there’s folks out there using Welsh for such purposes, most of us however will cringe because it just doesn’t land in the same way as English dirty talk.
This might genuinely in part be because a huge part of the language’s preservation came from people learning Welsh at their local chapels and churches because you weren’t allowed to speak it in most schools at that point in time. But this is just me guessing.
On the flip side of this, if the goal is romance or a beautiful proclamation of love, Welsh is absolutely your best friend. It’s a very loving language, and not just platonically.
It is very common for older people to call you “bach” or “cariad”. Anyone can use these for anyone. Especially when comforting someone or being polite.
Bach - Small
Cariad - Love
This is done in both Welsh and English.
“Ti’n iawn, bach?” (Are you alright, bach?)
“Dere ‘mlaen*, cariad.” (C’mon, cariad)
*slang for ymlaen meaning “forward” and in a Carmarthenshire accent sounds like “mlân”
Many folks will also use “cariad” to refer to their partner.
“Fy nghariad.” (My love/My partner/etc)
South Walians (especially south west) might say:
Wajen/Wejen - Girlfriend
Sboner - Boyfriend
Your married partner can be more specifically called:
Priod - Marriage partner
With a wedding being a “priodas”.
Gwraig - Wife
Gŵr - Husband
Conclusion here is: Everyone is “cariad” and your romantic partner is “my cariad”.
The word “calon” meaning “heart” can be used in the same way.
“Shwd i ti, calon?” (How are you, calon?)
Personally, with “fy nghalon” (my heart) I would use that directly with my partner but not when talking about them with others.
So again, everyone is “calon”.
Now we get to the real funky bit of exclamations/swearing.
We don’t have a word for “fuck” we literally just say the English one and then spell it phonetically so that it’s “ffyc”.
It’s my favourite thing ever.
Cachu - Shit
Buwch - Cow
Ceri i grafu - Fuck off / Go to scratch
(Apologies for those who aren’t comfortable with what is considered blasphemy in some communities but these are common exclamations here)
Iesu Grist - Jesus Christ
Iesu Mawredd - Christ Almighty
Both “Iesu”and “Mawredd” can be said by themselves as well and are generally what I personally say when I’m tired, facing a problem or have hit my foor against something.
Alternatively, a little less Jesus focused is:
Bois bach
Mam fach
I uh….don’t know how to explain these ones. I really don’t, lads. Because the literal translations just don’t make sense.
“Little boys” and “Little mother”
We just, say them.
I say them a Lot. Again, same concept of being fed up, tired enough or in enough pain to just exclaim. It’s like saying “gosh” or “dear me” and such. Very common.
Now to return again to the more blasphemous ones. We reach one of my Mamgu’s favourites:
Jiw jiw nefi blw
Again….I don’t know where nefi blw comes from or if this is even the right spelling. My Mamgu (grandma) says it so often but she also doesn’t know what it means.
The “jiw jiw” can be said alone without the second part and sounds a bit like “jew jew” but is just a evolution of the phrase “duw duw” which means “god god”.
The first time I said this in front of a very English friend they were very confused and concerned that it was some kind of antisemitic phrase - fortunately it is not!
Duwedd annwyl - Dear God
On the more positive side of exclamations is the word “lush” which is more popular in the South and is used a lot in the English language within Wales. I believe it’s short for “luscious”.
“That coat’s lush!”
“Ti’n edrych yn lush!” (You look lush!)
This is common amongst non-Welsh speakers as well as Welsh speakers.
Some very common Northern / Gog slang is “champiwn” and “eidial”.
Which are basically “champion” and “ideal” with heavy North Walian accents.
It’s like, a confirmation in a way. For anyone who’s familiar with the word “slay” and how that’s used, it’s similar to that.
Like instead of saying “okay” sometimes someone will just say “champiwn” or “eidial”. With the “ch” being the English “ch” in “change”.
Which brings us to the greatest criminal of the language but also one of my favourite words:
Cwtch
The only official word in the Welsh language that has that “change” ch sound spelt as a “ch”.
Would I go back in time and stop them from spelling it that way if I could? Absolutely.
Cwtsh is how it should phonetically be spelt. Alas. There is no reversing the insane amount of merch across Wales with Cwtch spread across them.
It’s particularly warm hug or cuddle but it can also be like a nook.
In my area we refer to the cupboard under the stairs as the:
“cwtch dan star” - (cwtch under the stairs)
but also:
“Put that in the dog’s cwtch.” Is a perfectly acceptable phrase.
or:
“This is my cwtch, go get your own.”
Like “lush”, this word is used by many non-Welsh speakers in their English and is a very common term (at least it is in the South)
So a cosy reading nook would be Remus’ cwtch and Sirius would be his cariad.
I think that about covers swearing and endearment? Of course there’s probably ones I’ve missed or aren’t familiar with but these are what came to mind for me.
For the next part I’ll go into terms for family members before moving on to culture/history with a focus on events that would influence the marauders era. Which, oh boy, things were a bit rocky in Wales then. Lots of protests for the working class and for the language.
Note: I am not the collective consciousness of every Welsh person. My experience is not universal - especially when it comes to North Walian things. This is just meant to serve as a general guide. Hope this helps and good luck with your writing!

@lady-llewellyn / continued from x.
It had been a long time since Galeb had allowed such feelings to course through his body, his thoughts leaning towards a more bitter and lone existence than find himself falling for another soul only to have it torn out from within his grasp -- - for whatever reason. After all, he was always quick to remind himself that he and his kind brought only death in their wake.
Yet Ellyn had brought a different outlook to the table, she was powerful, far more than even he as a Kindred elder, being immortal, not having to fear watching someone he dared care for wither and die before his eyes. She was more than a match for him, both physically and mentally, one of few who could keep up with him and while the notion of truly loving someone still terrified the nocturnal creature, he couldn't help but give in every time she was near, grasping at that tiny spark of hope that was dangling in front of him.
Knowing she was there, sensing her close, he couldn't help but want to be near her and drink in her presence as though she were the physical embodiment of his particular and fussy taste in blood. Even as she sat herself on his lap, warm palms coming to rest against his chest before they grazed elsewhere, leaving a heated trail behind them against his icy skin. For a moment he found himself simply becoming lost in her eyes as he looked up to her, strong hands sliding around her, supporting her as his grip tightened a little, enough to keep her in place. Though he couldn't deny that his mind wandered at the feeling of her fingers through his hair, leaning his head back as though searching for more.
He could feel as she drew in closer, eyes still wandering her as he felt the eternal pulse of life that radiated from her, like bathing in the sunlight. Her words that followed felt like a dream, his tongue caught for a moment as his grip around her pulled her that bit tighter. "Yn union fel rydw i'n dy garu di, fy Frenhines." His low voice purred so close to her lips, a dull ache growing heavy in his chest at words, a feeling, he'd almost forgotten. "Prioda fi…" Galeb seemed to be on a roll now, eyes wandering hers, almost desperately as he tried to find her answer in there somewhere. "Byddwch yn eiddo i mi … a byddaf yn eiddo i chi."

Priodreamian: A gender related to the lyrics “I know it’s hard to keep an open heart || When even friends seem out to harm you,” pastel or dark cool-toned colors, ink-stained wedding dresses, bouquets of white; purple; and blue flowers, ink-stained lace, dream aesthetics, and weddings. It’s also related to the fear that you’ll never find anyone who truly understands you.
The name comes from priodas, the Welsh word for wedding, and dream
The flag colors are inspired by my associations with the vibe of this term

A New Year’s Eve Wedding in Henblas Country Park, Bodorgan, Wales
After a year of meticulous planning, our Welsh couple finally tied the knot on New Year’s Eve 2023. This event marked our last wedding of 2023 and the first of 2024, filling us with immense excitement and joy.
http://www.thesnapshotcafe.com/
Despite the windy and rainy weather, fortune favoured us as the rain paused just in time for the outdoor activities. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the bride’s parents, their smiles setting a positive tone for the day. We began with capturing the bride and groom’s preparation shots, preserving those intimate pre-ceremony moments.
From there, we headed to Henblas Country Park, a hidden gem and perfect wedding venue in Wales. This purpose-built venue boasts guest rooms for the wedding party to stay overnight, adding convenience to its charm. The dedicated team of wedding planners had meticulously arranged the decorations, catering, and the event’s rundown. We were thoroughly impressed by the structure, layout, and facilities, all of which contributed to creating a memorable experience.
The climax of the evening was the fireworks display, perfectly timed with the countdown to 2024. As the clock struck midnight, the sky lit up with dazzling colors, marking both the start of the new year and the couple’s new journey together. It was a spectacular sight, and the perfect way to end the night on a high note.
Are you planning a new year’s eve wedding? Contact us, we are happy to capture the fun and unforgettable day!

Tumblr media
"You should get your breath back first, mon mari, then perhaps you can do whatever you want to me."
"I want to reduce you to jelly."
"Well that's not vaguely threatening at all." Kirby chuckles softly.
"Just wanna make you cum over and over."
"Well, that's a nicer way of putting it, now you don't sound like a supervillain."
"You've corrupted the Hurricane a little." He chuckles.
"He will reduce the woman he loves most into jelly with his touch." Kirby jokes, doing her best supervillain voice.
"Exactly."
Kirby smirks, pulling Helms into a heated kiss, "I love you, mon mari."
"I love you too, ma chère."
"Do with me whatever your heart, or loins, desire."
"My loins desire making sweet, tender love to my wife."
"Then do it." Kirby purrs.
"Lie down."
Kirby nods, laying down for Helms, her submissive side in full display as she blushes a deep red.
"That's my beautiful girl."
"What else can I do for you, sir?"
"Spread your legs and close your eyes."
Kirby does as he says, closing her eyes and spreading her legs, aware of how wet she already is. He bends down and licks a long line between her legs, tasting her juices. Her legs tremble slightly as she moans in delight.
"Now this… is heaven."
"You really think so, sir?" Kirby whispers.
"I know so."
"Oh, Monsieur Helms."
"Practically a delicacy."
"Now that's very high praise, Monsieur, are you sure you mean my juices?"
"I know I do."
"Then I shall shush and let you continue enjoying your delicacy, mon amour."
He's intense with his licking and obviously very happy. Kirby moans in ecstasy, her voice wavering as she gets closer to climaxing.
"Cum for me." He whispers.
"Oh mon Dieu, Shane." She moans as she cums, her head dizzy from arousal.
"That's my good girl."
"Mon ange, I love you, God, my head is all fuzzy."
"You need more water."
"Help me up, please, Shaney baby."
"Sure thing, my dear."
Kirby helps Helms lift her to her feet, holding onto him as if her life depends on it.
"You okay?" He whispers.
"Please… please don't leave me, please." Kirby murmurs, clearly struggling to hold back tears.
"Leave you? Honey, I would never leave you?"
"Dw i ddim yn gwybod beth sy'n bod ond aeth popeth yn rhyfedd yn fy meddwl i a dydq i ddim yn gwybod sut i'w esbonio, Shane, beth sy'n bod gyda fi?"
"I don't know either. People in your past broke you. They left you distrustful. It's my job to help you learn to trust."
"Na Shane, mae fel yr unig beth alla i deimlo yw tristwch neu anobaith, ar ôl i ni, wel wyddoch chi… wnaeth o neu yn hytrach ar ôl i mi ddod… disgynnodd fy nghalon yn sydyn, fel roedd rhywbeth wedi fy nhrywanu yn emosiynol."
"Do you have any idea why?" He asks softly.
"No…" Kirby whispers, burying her face in his shoulder and crying quietly."
He strokes her back slowly, "I'm sorry."
"nid eich bai chi ydyw."
"Is this about me or Shannon?" He whispers.
Kirby shakes her head, not knowing what has made her react like this.
"Let's get you calmed down, okay?"
She nods, still clinging to Helms for safety, he's the only thing keeping her calm enough to even think or speak, albeit in Welsh.
"I love you, sweetheart. I always will."
"Rwy'n dy garu di, fy ngwr."
"I'm never going to stop."
She nods, relaxing ever so slightly and taking a deep breath.
"That's my girl."
Gradually Kirby moves herself to sit on the couch, still holding onto Helms' right arm and tracing her fingers over his Green Lantern tattoo.
"I should look into getting another one…" He murmurs.
"Dylech aros tan ar ôl geni Lilith, yna gallwn gael ein bandiau priodas wedi'u tatŵio arnom."
"Couldn't we do that now?"
Kirby thinks for a moment before nodding and snuggling against his arm.
"Well, not now, but when we see Dee next."
She nods again, kissing his cheek softly.
"You gonna be okay?"
"Dydw i ddim yn gwybod eto."
"That's okay. We can sit here until you are."
"Allwch chi ddweud wrth Shannon mae'n ddrwg gen i, os gwelwch yn dda, Shane?"
"Do you want me to go now, or do you want me to bring him down so you can say so yourself?"
"Ti'n dweud wrtho, dydw i ddim yn meddwl ei fod yn ddoeth i mi ddweud dim byd pan na allaf siarad yr un iaith ag ef."
"I can translate if that needs to happen."
Kirby nods, letting him go. He gives her a quick kiss before heading upstairs to get Shannon, who, thankfully, has only had a couple sips of his drink.
"Please don't say you're throwing me out…" he mumbles.
"Better. She wants to apologize, but she had a bit of a breakdown and is only speaking Welsh. I'll be translating as best I can."
Kirby starts rehearsing how to approach apologising to Shannon, trying not to make the situation worse. Helms leads him downstairs slowly, trying his best not to startle Kirby.
"Helo, Shannon, dydw i ddim yn siŵr beth i'w ddweud, neu os bydd fy ngeiriau yn gwneud unrhyw synnwyr i chi, ond ar hyn o bryd nid wyf yn gallu siarad Saesneg ne Ffrangeg, felly yn anffodus rhaid gwrando ar sain fy acen Gymreig naturiol." Kirby jokes weakly.
"She's sorry English and French both escape her right now, so you'll have to listen to her natural Welsh." Helms explains.
"Yn gyntaf rhaid i mi ddweud, mae'n ddrwg gen i, fe wnes i or-ymateb ac roedd hynny'n anghywir i mi ei wneud. Clywais y gair soulmate a daeth yn… oramddiffynnol iawn… o fy statws fel priodferch Shane, a mam ei ferch yn y groth. Nid wyf yn rheoli fy emosiynau yn llwyr, ond ni ddylwn fod wedi ymateb fel y gwnes i. Ni allaf ymddiheuro digon am fy ngweithredoedd a'r hyn y gallent fod wedi achosi i chi feddwl."
"She's sorry she reacted the way she did. Hearing you call me your soulmate made her get protective of me and her status. She isn't in complete control of her emotions, but apologizes nonetheless."
"Gobeithio eich bod chi'n deall cymaint dwi'n ceisio cuddio'r ochr oramddiffynol ohonof fy hun, dwi'n ei chael hi'r un mor hyll a dwi'n siwr mae pawb arall yn ei wneud."
"She's trying to hide her overprotective side." Helms explains, purposely leaving out the self-deprecation.
"He's leaving stuff out, isn't he?" Shannon asks gently, earning a slow nod from Kirby.
"Only the parts that shouldn't be said in the first place." He murmurs.
"I… I can't stay mad at you guys, I admit, I may have gone too far calling Shane my soulmate, but I… I still haven't gotten over the loss, and maybe from now on, I should stay out of his pants, and… I, I forgive you, Kirby." Shannon murmurs, slowly walking up to Kirby and giving her a gentle hug, the faint smell of alcohol, making Kirby gag almost immediately.
"Might need to go brush your teeth, Shan. She's really scent-sensitive these days." Helms murmurs, tapping his shoulder.
"Oh, right, sorry, forgot the whole pregnant women and alcohol don't mix thing." He says before slinking off to freshen himself up.
"Everything squared up? No one mad at each other anymore?" Helms doublechecks, giving her a light hug.
Kirby nods, leaning against Helms and sighing softly, trying but failing to translate herself mentally.
"Good. I'm glad."
She makes a couple small noises of happiness, but no words come out, or at the least, none that Helms can recognize.
"Welsh gone now too, hmm?"
Kirby nods, burying her face in her hands.
"That's okay. It's all okay, my love."
Kirby makes a noise akin to 'meep' in response.
"Hand squeezes, okay? Once for yes, twice for no."
She squeezes his hand softly, just once, and puts her forehead against his shoulder.
"That's my good girl."
Kirby blushes a deep red, making a small squeak before covering her mouth with her free hand.
"Sorry, I'll keep from the horny pet names."
Kirby squeezes his hand twice, wanting him to continue talking the way he usually does.
"If you say so, princess." He grins.
Kirby smiles softly, taking her hand away from her face and gently stroking his beard.
"Didn't go more grey today, did I?"
Kirby squeezes his hand twice as she continues stroking his beard.
"Something different about it?"
She again squeezes his hand twice but continues to stroke his beard.
Shannon walks back into the room, midway through brushing his teeth, "she probably likes the feel." He mumbles as he watches Kirby intently stoking Helms' beard.
"It's getting a little longer. Guess it's softer than usual, hmm?"
Kirby squeezes his hand once, finally stopping herself from stroking his beard and blushing with embarrassment.
"That's cute, she gets all red and stops herself from being adorable because I walk in, you can be adorable, Kirby, no one's gonna stop ya." Shannon teases jokingly.
"It's true. We both find you adorable all the time."
Kirby pulls away from Helms, curling up and hiding her face in her hands.
He takes her hands gently, "please don't hide." He whispers.
Kirby slowly looks at Helms, blushing as red as she can go and shivering from the sudden remembrance of just how little clothing she has on.
"You wanna get dressed?"
Kirby nods, "oui s'il vous plaît, très froid." She whispers.
"Alright, let's get you bundled."
Kirby's about to stand when Helms lifts her in a bridal carry, "mon amour, je peux marcher."
"I know. But you can't speak all your languages right now, so I'm not taking any chances."
Kirby sighs, letting Helms carry her and making herself comfortable in his arms. He's not struggling to hold her like he used to. He's gotten significantly and buffer in their months together. Kirby gently strokes his hair, whispering sweet nothings to him in French.
"Pyjamas or fully dressed?" He murmurs.
"Pyjamas." She whispers, sounding more like André when she speaks French compared to her usual accent.
"Alright, let's sit you on the bed and get you dressed."
Kirby pulls Helms into a gentle kiss the moment she gets a chance to, closing her eyes and holding him close before letting him go.
"I love you so damn much."
Kirby slowly gets her breath back, "I… love you, mon ange."
"English is back." He smiles proudly.
Kirby blushes as she pulls Helms into a gentle hug.
"Feeling better?"
"Yeah, still a bit weird from losing both English and French for a moment."
"Take your time. You'll be okay."
"I don't want to let you go, I know how dumb that sounds, but I just wanna hold you a bit longer."
"It's not dumb. You're allowed to love and need me, you know."
"I know but I don't want to seem… needy, or clingy."
"I want you to be needy and clingy. It's how I know I'm still wanted."
"Oh, well then," Kirby pulls Helms into a heated kiss, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"I love you so damn much."
"I love you too, mon mari, my hero."
"Really your hero?"
"Definitely my hero, mon ouragan d'amour."
"I love having that title."
"Which one, my hero or mon ouragan d'amour?"
"Both, really."
"What about, my heroic Hurricane of love?" Kirby teases.
"I like it in any language." He grins.
Kirby gently pulls Helms into another heated kiss, getting slightly rough and biting his bottom lip softly.
"Trying to make me bleed?" He chuckles softly.
"A little blood in your mouth never stopped you before, mon amour." Kirby whispers.
"That's true."
"I should probably get dressed, shouldn't I?"
"Maybe. If you wanna be warm."
"I could always be warm with your dick inside me." Kirby whispers to herself as she looks for something to wear.
"That's a good point too."
Kirby goes silent, blushing bright red.
"Wanna try that?"
"Well, I'd never turn down sexual contact with my husband, so… maybe we could?"

Aepyornithomimus tugrikinensis
Tumblr media
By Scott Reid
Etymology: Elephant Bird Mimic
First Described By: Tsogtbaatar et al., 2017
Classification: Dinosauromorpha, Dinosauriformes, Dracohors, Dinosauria, Saurischia, Eusaurischia, Theropoda, Neotheropoda, Averostra, Tetanurae, Orionides, Avetheropoda, Coelurosauria, Tyrannoraptora, Maniraptoromorpha, Maniraptoriformes, Ornithomimosauria, Ornithomimoidea, Ornithomimidae
Status: Extinct
Time and Place: Around 80 million years ago, in the Campanian of the Late Cretaceous
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aepyornithomimus is known from the Tögrögiin Shiree environment of the Djadokhta Formation in Ömnögovi, Mongolia
Tumblr media
Physical Description: Aepyornithomimus was a large, derived Ornithomimosaur, much like the later Struthiomimus and Ornithomimus - indicating that these animals were present early on in the Latest Cretaceous. In fact, Aepyornithomimus was somewhat intermediate in form between earlier and later forms, indicating it was somewhat transitional. The size of this dinosaur is unknown, since so little of its skeleton is known, and it could have been anywhere between 2 and 5 meters long. It had unique feet, with fairly slender toes that were weirdly curved compared to close relatives. It also had longer toes than later forms - indicating said transitional nature. Unfortunately, the only parts of this dinosaur known are its legs and feet, so any weirdness elsewhere is currently unknown - though it stands to reason it may have looked different from other Ornithomimosaurs. It probably had a toothless beak, with a small head, long neck, and decently sized tail. As an Ornithomimosaur, Aepyornithomimus would have been covered in feathers all over its body, with wings on its arms (and potential ornamental feathers elsewhere as well).
Tumblr media
By Ripley Cook
Diet: It is more likely than not that Aepyornithomimus was an herbivore, as other Ornithomimosaurs were as well.
Behavior: As an Ornithomimosaur, Aepyornithomimus would have been fast moving, primarily using speed to run away from predators rather than other means of defense. It probably would have lived in herds, or at least small groups, exploring its environment and feeding together. It is possible that it may have had adaptations in its mouth to aid in feeding on dry vegetation - since Ornithomimosaurs are usually wet-habitat dwellers, and stick to soft water-based vegetation, Aepyornithomimus is fascinating as a case study into how these dinosaurs adapted to different areas. As a dinosaur, it would have taken care of its young, potentially with the help of the rest of the flock. The wings would have been primarily used in communication - especially sexual and other forms of display. Brighter colors or weirder patterns on those feathers would have been used to indicate the health of the individuals involved.

Ecosystem: The Tögrögiin environment was a red, windswept desert, much like how the fossil formation where these animals are found is today. There wasn’t a lot in terms of water, though eventually the ecosystem would transition to a wetter environment during the time of the likes of Deinocheirus et al. There were oases and arroyos, but it would have primarily been very, very dry. This means it would have been filled with tough vegetation, and as such it wasn’t a very herbivore-heavy environment.
This environment was filled with a wide variety of animals - especially lizards. There were Iguanas like Mimeosaurus, Temujinia, Zapsosaurus, Isodontosaurus, Flaviagama, Gurvansaurus, and Dzhadochtosaurus; skinks like Adamisaurus; and monitors like Cherminotus. As for mammals, there were the insectivorous stem-mammals like Barunlestes and Zalambdalestes, and the multituberculate Kryptobaatar.

Of course, Aepyornithomimus wasn’t the only dinosaur here! This place was lousy with the Ceratopsian Protoceratops, which would have been a major competitor with Aepyornithomimus for plant food; and there were also plenty of Pinacosaurus, the Ankylosaur, which would have been able to reach for plants with its long and flexible tongue. Insectivores included Shuvuuia, the Alvarezsaur; and Elsornis, the Opposite Bird. Mahakala, an early raptor, was present as well - and it may or may not have specialized in feeding whatever animals were present at the oases and arroyos that were present, as it seems to have been closely related to the later Goose-Raptor Halszkaraptor. Finally, the main predator of Aepyornithomimus would have been Velociraptor - which was extremely common in this location as well!
Other: Aepyornithomimus, as a potentially transitional Ornithomimosaur, helps to highlight some of the evolution of this group. It is entirely possible that Ornithomimids originated in Asia, before spreading out to North America - or, at least, went through a major portion of their evolution there. Aepyornithomimus also will help to show, as we study it further, how Ornithomimids may have handled the challenge of evolving for drier habitats.

Gwobr Goffa Pat Neill: Ffenest - Morgan Owen, Merthyr Tudful (ffugenw Gleisiad)
Mae i’r gwyll ei bwys ei hun,
fel pe bai wedi crynhoi
ac araf ymgnawdoli;
nid absenoldeb mohono
ond ymwelydd
sy’n diferu trwy’r clo
         a bylchau’r ffenestri.
  Rwy’n ei nabod bellach:
mae wedi hawlio’r stafelloedd
  sydd bellach i ffwrdd
o farwor y machlud,
a gallaf ei glywed
yn esgyn y grisiau
a diffodd gweddillion goleuni
  pob cornel
       a chilfach
           yn yr hen dŷ.
 Fe’i gwelaf yn croesi
trothwy fy stafell
ac yntau wedi dod
i wylio llwydo ola’r dydd
  o’m ffenest.
       Caiff wedyn fy nghladdu.
Englyn: Gwawr: Philippa Gibson, Pontgarreg (ffugenw Poethi)
Gwawr
I’w gad mae’r haul am godi - a’i saethau’n
dod yn syth, a’u hegni’n
dyrnu aer ein daear ni,
a hithau’n prysur boethi.
Englyn Ysgafn: Yn y Car: Robert John Henry Griffiths, Bodffordd, Llangefni (ffugenw Mab y Felin)
Car cyntaf 'nhad oedd Lada - a wedyn
Newidiodd i Skoda
Aeth yn hwn ar daith un ha'
Nes berwodd yn Siberia.
Telyneg: Aber: Terwyn Tomos, Llandudoch (ffugenw Ar y Lan). Enillydd y Gadair Her am y farddoniaeth orau (ac eithrio cystadleuaeth Pat Neill)
  Ni’n dau
Yn gwylio’r haul
Yn llosgi wyneb y dŵr
Heibio i’r ogofau a’r pentir
Draw at y gorwel.
Lliwiau’r tai a’r tafarnau
Sy’n ymlacio’n barau diddan
Ar y glannau,
Ac yn sipian gwin coch
Ddiwedd dydd.
  Yna, daw siffrwd sydyn;
Crynwn yn yr hanner tywyllwch
A gwylio’r creigiau’n toddi’n ddim.
Mae’r goleuadau’n aflonydd,
Yn sibrwd yn anniddig
Ar wyneb y dŵr
Ac yn chwalu’n wreichion di-batrwm
Wrth i ninnau droi,
A cherdded i’r nos.
Cywydd: Lôn: Philippa Gibson (ffugenw Rhigol)
  O’r allt, gwelem yr hollti
yn yr hewl, ond ei throi hi
wnaem, sha thre, i’n ‘te ’flaen tân’
bob ochor i’r bwrdd bychan.
 Trwy’r coed, er ein haildroedio,
newydd fu’n trywydd bob tro
o’i gamu’n iawn - ac aem ’n ôl
am ragor.   Creem rigol
ôl ein traed ar lôn trwy’r allt
sha thre at y te’n tywallt . . .
Mae yno nawr, am wn i,
yn aros, wedi oeri.
Parodi: Unrhyw gerdd gan Cynan: Carys Briddon, Tre’r-ddôl (ffugenw George)
‘ABERDARON’
 Pan fwyf ar fin ymddeol
Ac arian yn fy nghod,
Gadawaf ruthr Lloegr,
A dyma yw fy nod:
Mi brynaf fwthyn prydferth
O’r arian sydd yn stôr
Yn nhref fach Aberdaron
Yn ymyl glan y môr.
  Rwy’n gwybod fod y tywydd
Yn wlyb bob dydd, ac oer,
Yng nghlydwch gwres y bwthyn
Caf wylied golau’r lloer.
Ond heulwen haf sy’n dilyn,
A’r cwch gaiff ddod o’i stôr
I draethau Aberdaron
I hwylio ar y môr.
  Gan imi ddod o Loegr
I’r iaith a’r wlad rhof sen,
Mae cân y Cymry’n pylu,
A chwerthaf am eu pen.
’Does obaith iddynt brynu
’Run bwthyn, nid oes stôr
Gan bobl Aberdaron
Sy’n byw ar lan y môr.
  Oblegid mi gaf lonydd,
Ni choda’r Cymry’u gwynt,
Ac ni cheir ’r un gwrthryfel
Rhag Saeson ar eu hynt.
A chaf i yma’r angerdd
Wrth syllu tua’r ddôr,
– Rwy’n perchen Aberdaron
A’r cychod ar y môr.
Trydargerdd: Nodyn ar Fwrdd: Philippa Gibson, Pontgarreg (ffugenw Ci Du)
Nid wyf wrth law i’ch croesawu heddiw
ond roedd rhaid diflannu,
fy ffrindiau: mae’r dyddiau du
yn rhy unig i’w rhannu.
Cystadleuaeth i bobl dan 19 oed. Cerdd neu Ryddiaith, ‘Dathlu’: Marged Evans, Bryngwyn (ffugenw Beti)
Dathlu?
Priodas Bryderus
Gwên, er mwyn rhyngu bodd gelynion
Wynebau cyfarwydd, anghyfarwydd.
Fe o’m blaen, ar ei hynt i’m caethiwo rhag hanesion,
Pabell o ddeunydd gwyn, gwelw o’m cwmpas a cholur wedi’i ddefnyddio’n afiach.
A minnau’n cerdded ymlaen i’m terfyniad.
  Poen, a chylchrediad cyfyngder beunyddiol.
Di-liw, dideimlad, difaterwch bywyd anial,
Di-werth mewn byd prysur, haniaethol.
Hyrddio minnau i’r llawr a fy ngorfodi yn ôl i’m traed,
Fel si-so plant bach.
A minnau’n ceisio prosesu fy nghwplâd.
Gorffen, efo un trawiad olaf er mwyn dibennu’r oll.
Yr holl wynebau cyfarwydd yn hysbys o’r gwirionedd yn ymddangos,
Y cwbl i mi frwydro amdano ers y cychwyn cyntaf ar goll.
Yr holl wnaeth add oar lawr, yr ymdeimlad glὸs,
A minnau’n cau llygaid.
