I picked 1-2 things from all the authors/directors I could think of, but let me know if I've forgotten something interesting. I was thinking about this topic because this year's bestseller Fourth Wing was apparently written by an ex-Mormon who now loves coffee and smut, which I think is pretty funny.

Revive this idea, Disney! This could be the next Monster High/Ever After High!

Obviously they have the Disney princess line, but expanding it to more female characters makes it even MORE profitable. Imagine a lot of the original voice actors returning for this! I can't recall if it was just a short or an actual series, but I'd be happy for a high-budget miniseries! NGL, it kinda exists in my Kingdom Hearts headcanon. (BTW the top right pic is from a jigsaw puzzle; it's not actually concept art, but it's titled Disney princess Academy, so I count it!)

Maybe a little less known, but Miri from The Princess Academy? It's fun to think about the canonical competition in the book being escalated to the Hunger Games!

6. Biggest surprise Thanks for the ask!

Looking at my reading list, I see a couple of surprises... All of them are books I was not expecting to enjoy so much. I was surprised by how much I LOVED The View from Saturday by E. L. Konigsburg. It's a story about four smart kids and their teacher and their community, and the unexpected connections between them. I can see why it won a Newbery, but it's also simply enjoyable and entertaining. I also LOVED Princess Academy when I reread it for the first time in 10+ years. It became a favorite this time, when I merely liked it before. It's exactly the sort of book I want to read and write, with adventure, family, a coming-of-age story, and excellent themes and characters. Another book I was unexpectedly obsessed with was Bandit's Moon by Sid Fleischman. I was really compelled by the central character of the book--the titular bandit leader--and I was very interested in the history behind the book. I was also really riveted as I wondered how the book would end and what the fate of that character would be.
