Ryuga sent L Drago flying into the tree Eagle had ducked behind with enough force to make it fall over. Eagle had little choice but to dodge hastily to the right, right into L Drago’s leftward spin.

As Eagle took a few hits, Tsubasa growled, fists clenched, definitely trying to hold something back.

“What's wrong? You hate me? Or maybe you're scared of me? You have to admit it, at least to yourself,” said Ryuga.

“Alright, I hate you,” said Taubasa through a glare. “Metal wing smash!” Eagle struck hard enough to knock L Drago back and into another tree. Eagle then had room to slip away again. “I hate bladers like you, who will do whatever it takes to win, and don't care who they hurt!”

as per my "masamune was actually born in the states" headcanon/au, i do think he has an american name.

and as per my headcanon his american name (which doubles as his legal middle name) is anthony. tho michael is also fun i've recently latched onto it

amd i imagine the gan gan galaxy gang probably doesn't know about that name, except maybe madoka because she actually pays attention and it never comes up. except one time they're video calling for some reason, and maybe masamune is with his mom. and then the gang just hears a very loud "anthony" and then masamune responds???? and they're all like "whatttt" and then he has to explain it to them.

Imagine meeting the most handsome goofiest genderweird butch you've ever seen and she has a dedicated probably monogamous boyfriend who to be fair is actually a pretty cool dude and you're devastated that you can't shoot your shot. I doubt the writers had planned this far ahead this early but it worked out well that Tsubasa's introduction is intervening when a group of bullies tries to force Gingka into an unfair fight and then later we find out that Tsubasa has a whole angsty backstory about dealing with cheaters.

If Kyouya actually respected Tsubasa in their fight he would’ve had go all out at the start and inspired Tsubasa to immediately push back, which Tsubasa in entirely capable of and will, because they’re equally strong; not holding back, mocking Tsubasa and just seeing him as a steeping stone to his challenge letter at Gingka. Kyouya didn’t even treated Hyouma or Benkei this way 🙃
