Med related vent under the cut
Tfw yr clinic calls in your prescription 1) WAY too early, so it doesn't show up for the pharmacy when u finally are able to fill it and 2) to an old store that CLOSED DOWN like a YEAR ago, so that when u finally pinpoint the date they called it in, they can't fucking fill it anyway!!! And then the lady at the counter tells you, for the umpteenth time, that it's a controlled substance and she needs a doctor to call it in and it's like YES THATS WHAT I AM TALKING TO YOU ABOUT!!!! HELLO ARE YOU JUST BEING A BITCH TO ME????? but you don't say that to her bc her job must be hard and maybe she's just falling back on a rote response. and so you thank her for her time then go to your car and have a cry
I have luckily been hoarding the shit out of these meds bc this shit happens all the fucking time, like almost every time I need it filled. It's always something. And all I'm able to do on my end is leave a message on a voicemail, one single message amongst what I imagine are hundreds of equally panicked cries for help, and then I have to sit and wait and sit and wait and sometimes, sometimes!!!! They don't even do anything!!!! And when that happens, guess what you're supposed to do about it?
You leave a message on the voicemail:)

spoke to a new doctor today and he said he'd noticed I'd had a referral for trans healthcare and wanted to make sure they had my correct pronouns/name on the system and I immediately started crying a little
like. not even just the supportive of trans stuff aspect but just the fact that he had looked at my medical records beyond the absolute bare minimum he needed to. and cared about what i preferred, in any context

Hey, Ben, have you ever been diagnosed with depression? It seems you may not be producing optimal amounts of serotonin. As you are too young to be diagnosed with a personality disorder, (Borderline, maybe?) I won't ask- but keep it in mind, yeah?
When I was a teenager, they told me I had depression and generalized anxiety.
They wanted to tell me I had schizophrenia, too. When I told them about Snoke speaking to me in my brain. But I didn't actually end up with that diagnosis, since I was able to demonstrate that I was in touch with reality in all other aspects of my life. And since Uncle Luke said that he really could sense “another presence” in my mind.
But I don’t really care what I am, or what I have. I don’t like being defined by things.
And…I’m doing a lot better these days. (In general. Certain specific weeks may not be good examples.) I hope you can tell!
Sometimes, the darkness creeps back in. And sometimes…it freaking flattens me like a tidal wave I never saw coming. Sometimes, I lose my mind a little…and find myself plunged into an alternate dimension where everything is horrible, my life is meaningless, everyone’s out to kill me—I might disappear from the face of the galaxy for a few days—
…But, hey. I always spring back. I’m a fighter, buddy!
