Jayce comes in late, and he looks awful.

Viktor is no stranger to these long nights. Once a month, he loses his beloved to a whirlwind gala, or an investor meeting, or the Council dragging him in and acosting him with demands. He sits in their darkened apartment, reading by lamplight, because their bed feels too empty and cold without his sweetheart. And every time, Jayce comes back haggard, stumbling from exhaustion and eyes fluttering as he wobbles towards Viktor. Every time, the Council drains him dry, and Viktor is left to pick up the pieces.

"Piltover's Golden Boy". What a fucking joke.

But now is not the time for anger. Now is the time to smile, to offer a soft, warm, whispered "welcome home", to treasure his darling in the way he deserves. Pride surges in Viktor's chest as his words return the light to Jayce's tired eyes, and a small but definite smile to his chapped lips.

"Hey." Jayce croaks, and Viktor's heart breaks to hear how they gave ground his spirit to dust. "I missed you."

"Mmm, sounds like it. Rough day?" Viktor sets aside his book, placing it carefully on his lap. Not yet an invitation to relax. For all he knows, Jayce wants to go to bed immediately.

"The Council is full of shit and I'm starting to think even they know that." Jayce grumbles. "If I have to hear one more time about the stupid Hexgates not being done on time, I'm going to burn the Councilhouse down to the ground."

"Wouldn't that be something?" Viktor half laughs. "Come. Sit with me."

He opens his arms, to welcome Jayce to his side, but Jayce hesitates. This is normal, and Viktor knows exactly what his desired wants. Ah, but he will wait for the question.

"Can I lay in your lap?" Jayce's voice quivers, and Viktor fights like hell to maintain his composure.

"Of course you can, sunspot. You don't need to ask." Viktir removes the book in his lap and flips up the blanket, allowing Jayce enough to crawl in.

Jayce hugs him, deep and warm and desperate, and it only takes a few seconds before Viktor feels the tears. Viktor holds his beloved, pulls him close and kisses his face, his nose, his forehead, his cheeks – anywhere he can reach is fair game. And he lets Jayce crumble apart, lets the perfect boy of Piltover die in his arms so he can dig out the scared, shaking man underneath.

"I love you." Viktor whispers. "I don't say it enough."

He says every chance he gets, but it still doesn't feel like enough. It will never feel like enough. Not for his Jayce.

"I love you too." Jayce moans. "Vik, I'm so tired."

"So sleep." Viktor replies, forcing his tone to be even-keeled. "I am here. I will watch you."

Jayce always needs permission to let his guard down. Viktor will always give him that. Must always give him that. Must spoil his Jayce, his beloved.

"Let me ease your worries." Viktor says to an already sleeping Jayce. "Nevermind the Council. All that matters is you. All I see is you."

Long council meetings.

I really enjoy seeing the illustrated storyline you have unfolding between the two and figured it would be nice to see this motorcycle sequence in motion. So tadaa here it is! In animated form! Now your obligated to make a full length written novel in-depth about their relationship /j

Papercraft Ed! I had the sketch for this one finished a while ago, but for whatever reason didn’t feel quite happy with it. Eventually I tried flipping it to face the opposite way - meaning his automail arm was now facing the viewer and could be shown via rips in his clothes and gloves - and then BAM, I liked how it looked after all! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make all the difference.

MERSKELES PART 3!

Definitely not mermay anymore but here's the last 3 sirens I wanted to do

and some explanation on why I choose what I did under the cut

So from left to right

Dream is a golden colored koi carp fish, I picked it because they are very pretty and they represent a lot of positive things like luck and fortune, some people even wish on them to make their dreams come true :> I also thought of the legend where a golden koi fish climbs a large waterfall to turn into a dragon, so they have some mythical legends as well. In terms of the actual fish, Koi are very sociable and sturdy, they also live for quite awhile.

Nightmare is a coelacanth, he should probably be an octopus considering he has tentacles, but I really wanted to make him a coelacanth because I think they are neat. Coelacanth's are very old with the latest fossils being over 400 million years old, they were thought to be extinct until one was found in 1938, grandpa nightmare. They are also nocturnal, sleeping in caves during the day, they live deep in the ocean as well. 

Fresh is actually a two in one, he is a rainbow parrotfish with a tongue-eating louse in his mouth. Out of alI the bright fish I did a parrotfish because I really like their gradients, and I think the magenta fins fit his jacket. He's a parasite inside of a Sans body, so I picked a fish parasite to go along with the fish half of his body. I chose the tongue-eating louse, a type of parasite that replaces a fish's tongue. It first severs the blood vessels to the tongue and once it falls off takes its place. feeding on nutrients and acting as a new tongue for the rest of the fish's life, very cool and terrifying.

Elias Tsum!

Elias belongs to @r-aindr0p 💙

I put him off for a while because I didn't want to draw the ignihyde uniform, but he's here! I figured since tsum Ortho couldn't fly, tsum Elias wouldn't have Elias's cool prosthetic arm, and like tsum Ortho would get some cool technomantic upgrades while at Night Raven. (Story under cut)

Upon noticing the lights in the sky, and more importantly the hunter in a tree with binoculars already aimed at them, Elias swiftly activated his unique magic to get a quite literal birds eye view. He watched the scene through the eyes of a bird, fluttering around between the small round creatures falling from the sky. When he spotted one with familiar scruffy hair covering its face. He flew closer, this creature really did resemble him to a bizarre extent... as he fluttered around it, an arrow shot up from the nearby copse of trees. Just as Elias was realizing who shot it, the enchantment on the arrow activated, and rather than piercing the tsum, it transformed into a bubble around both the small creatures. Elias had seen enough.

Deactivating his magic, Elias rushed outside. On his way he tripped no less than three times, but he made it.

Elias! I do believe I've just encountered your tsum lookalike!" Rook said cheerfully.

This was a good chance to test a new feature Idia had added to his arm. Elias pointed and shot a tiny technomantic beam at the bubble, breaking it so the tsum and innocent bird could go free. It was barely a fraction of what Ortho could do, but only a fraction of him was robotic compared to Ortho, and hey, it was still pretty cool.

The tsum dropped down and stood at Elias's feet looking up into the tree where Rook was.

Rook was unphased "is that a new feature? Magnifique!"

"Yeah, it is" it was meant to help him be an even better hunter, but after having Rook catch his tsum before him, he didn't feel worthy of claiming it was working quite yet.

"Also!" Rook continued "I noticed les chats espiégles had a tsum companion aiding them in tripping you on the way here, I do believe we are due for some trouble while the tsums are around."

Rook had seen that? This was humiliating. "Yeah whatever" Elias said, picking up his tsum and returning to the main building, not looking back at Rook.

Once inside he noticed the new message he'd gotten, the headmaster was calling all those who caught a tsum to his office. He sighed and looked at the tsum in his hands.

The little creature was hard to read with its hair in its face, but Elias did notice something about it. While the tsums he'd seen before all had four nubbins as their appendages, this tsum was missing the front right one. Well, Elias had his first project in mind for once the meeting with Crowley was over. He was going to make this guy a prosthetic nubbin. (Or more likely convince Idia to do it for him, but eh, same result.)
