can i be fr for a minute?? sending abuse to people online for holding different views than you is not activism and in fact actively hurts your cause. most people are not extreme in their viewpoints, you can give them a new perspective if you're willing to spend some time explaining shit. if someone is saying something you disagree with and you rush in there to condescend to them and call them disgusting and subhuman and dont even TRY to explain calmly why their views are harmful, they're going to shut you out instantly and double down on their views.

most people are simply genuinely ignorant to the issues they're talking about - they just pick their views up from the news and the world around them and express opinions because that's what every person does. if you run in there and tell them they're scum for it, what then? if someone does that to you, are you going to think "maybe i should do some research" or are you going to think "this person is an asshole, im blocking them." a lot of you think you're activists and then refuse to do any kind of actual WORK to support your cause.

you know the contrast between how Vergil is presented vs thinking too hard about Vergil’s story is pretty funny. Man’s reputation is this iconic badass, the pinnacle of what video game rivalries can be, the coolest guy to play as, the guy who breaks every game he’s added to,

and then you go to the story and like. man’s lost his free will and autonomy at 19 and then came back a fractured man half of which was a lovecraftian eye beast the other half of which was a chronically ill goth man. and then he reunites and hes in like his 40s now I believe but legit the last time he was actually in a game where he wasn’t being mind controlled when he was 19 which is both sad but also thinking about how this guy who’s considered one of the top badasses of gaming has never really lived life outside of being a teenager.

Anyways this is the secret comedic potential of post DMC5 for Vergil because not only has the human world probably changed a fair bit in terms of technology, if he’s sticking around Dante he’s gonna actually have to learn in depth how taxes and grocery shopping work. Amazing.

so i’m re-listening to tma & am currently on MAG 13 (alone) and oh my god. I FORGOT HOW KUCH THE LUKAS FAMILY WERE MENTIONED!!! and it got me thinking about them. so of course i went down the google rabbit hole. and then i was kinda just thinking about the lukases and their involvement with like. the whole tma universe. and the amount of statements about them. and now. now i’m thinking abiut how if jon weren’t in a coma in s4 he probably would have known who peter lukas was and been like “hey man!! fuck off!!” and martin would never have become an avatar of the lonely and gone through all of that and they could have been together sooner with much less misery and i’m just very upset about that. because i think if jon were there and KNEW WHO THE LUKASES WERE!!!!! he would not have like. broken both of his knees idk. ceaselessly watch him via many people surrounding him. trying to become friends with him. trying to ‘cure’ his loneliness.
