this is a bit of an emotional post but you know.

for those who don’t know last October my cat passed away, he was 18 years old and honestly if you haven’t had and lost your soul mate in an animal I don’t think it’s a pain you can even say in words. I took a huge nose dive in my mental health, didn’t sleep for a week, was pacing for several hours at a time in and out of the ER. I was forced to quit my job ( I was too exhausted to do anything it was generally awful ) and I had to leave my home due to tension with family because of how sick I was. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing friend my now housemate Tobias who has taken care of me for the last six or so months and tbh last November I didn’t even think I would make it this far.

anyway, as much as I still don’t sleep can’t even fathom being in a bed ( I can only sleep on the couch lmao ) I’m ?? doing so much better than I was ?? I’m so thankful for all my friends on here who make coming and writing feel so fulfilling again and Tobias who has been a light in my life these last few months.

I’ll include some favourite rocky posts so people who never met him can see what an icon he is.

Amy Rose’s Quills

Yes, it’s that time again! Where I ramble about character designs and why I adore them so much. In this post, I want to talk about Amy’s quills and why I like the different ways it can be represented in official and none official media.

Just like Amy’s eye color. I’ll also make guesses as to why her overall design changed officially and in canon to make things interesting. Let’s get started!

Long Quills

This style is in Amy’s first design. Being the Minnie to Sonic’s Mickey, she had the same quill style as him. Aside from her bangs. While I do think the quills look cute, it almost makes Amy look like Sonic’s sister. I guess that’s why they changed it later on.

I say this only in comparison to her modern design. The Minnie inspiration is the reason she’s here. I’m only talking about her changing designs and making it less identical to Sonic.

My favorite iteration of her classic look is in Sonic Mania Adventures Christmas special. Just look at the differences. It may not be a HUGE change, but even her nose is slightly smaller. I just love the Mania’s designs in general. They’re awesome! I still do love the OG design too. Classic Amy is so precious.

Look at how Sonic’s quills are messier than Amy’s here. I think it gives them more dimension. Showing how one cares more about grooming themselves than the other. It’s kind of cool and I wish it was integrated in canon more. Not because it’s “important” but it’s a fun idea.

Short Quills

Ever since Sonic Adventure, Amy’s design changed immensely. Even Sonic himself noticed it in Adventure 1. Her outfit, eye color, nose, and quills (besides her iconic bangs) are different. Giving her an older more teenage look. I say this because Amy doesn’t look any older or younger then Sonic.

(Or any other teenage/young adult character for that matter)

They are sometimes even shown to have the same hight at times. Back to the quills, Amy now barely resembles her classic design and definitely looks less like a Minnie Mouse inspired design. Her classic design is still amazing, but I believe the change was a necessary one. The differences between her and Sonic are more apparent and noticeable and I think that’s a good thing.

Mixed

Here’s my own example, but there are many other fantastic fanartist who does something similar with both styles together.

Why do people like this quill style a bunch? I’d say it adds more flavor to her personality. Her having the classic long quills along with the short front dreads could symbolize her adventurous side along with her girly side. It blends the two nicely and overall looks visually interesting. While I will say her shorter quills does differentiate her better, I’ve seen plenty of artist change it up a bit in unique ways. It’s fun to create and see what ideas an artist could have for Amy.

Why Amy’s Quills Were Changed?

I’d say the official reason is because of the things I said before. But the in canon reason could be Amy wanting to look pretty enough for the next time she sees Sonic. Or perhaps she thought to change her appearance simply because she wanted to look cuter. Though I’d say the first answer is the most likely because her love for the blue blur was much more prominent in the past.

Conclusion

Did I use this as an excuse to gush about Amy again? Yep! I regret nothing. I love love LOVE Amy Rose and how interesting her design is in the past and present.

Name: Zomboni

Debut: Plants vs. Zombies

Plants vs. Zombies is such a silly game. Silly is baked into its very code. And I love that! You know me! I live under rotting wood, eating silly and breaking it down into nutrient-rich soil! But I think Zomboni has the honor of being the silliest thing in this already-silly game!

There is no way Zomboni would exist if it weren't for the wordplay. So thank goodness for the wordplay! A zombie, on a Zamboni. Though, we are informed that it is actually "more closely related to a space ogre than a Zombie". What impeccable word choice! So it's not even actually a space ogre. Just some weird guy creature. Awesome

Zomboni drives an ice resurfacing machine, and I have no idea what the general public's knowledge level of these things is. Does the average person know the exist? I knew, but I played and hated playing hockey as a child so I got to watch the ice being resurfaced, which was the best part. Some guy who may or may not be tangentially related to space ogres will drive this machine around the ice rink, cutting down the surface and laying down fresh ice to make a nice and smooth surface, I think. Now, I may be using the generic term for this product, but commonly, there is one brand name that is used commonly, like Band-Aid or Q-Tip or Velcro, and for that we can thank...

Frank J. Zamboni! Hooray! What do you have to say, Frank?

Wow. So true, Frank. I'm sure this message is reaching its intended audience in this post. Anyway, ol' Ice Tank Frank made such an iconic machine that it is THE ice resurfacing machine in the public consciousness, and there is even a trademark for its iconic shape! That seems unnecessary but ok. Now, when the ghost of the Zamberino was scrying the mortal realm for references to his work in media, he came across parody in a funny video game, and OBVIOUSLY something had to be done about that!

And from then on, Zomboni's description was updated to reflect that it is NOT to be confused with a Zamboni® brand ice resurfacing machine, you silly billy, why would you think that? And they also plugged the Zamboni website in-game, so that the audience of, I must emphasize, a silly video game, would be more likely to buy an entire ice resurfacing machine, or at least its related merchandise. I really would think this would all be fine under parody law, but maybe it has to do with the shape trademark. Whatever. To the Zamboni company's credit, they have some incredible merchandise.

What a powerful item. With this, the course of a baby's life can be changed forever...

Zomboni with an O, I mean with two Os, approaches while creating a trail of freshly laid ice that cannot be planted on. The brand-ambiguous ice resurfacing machine is quite tough, but instant-kill plants are effective, as are Spikeweeds and Spikerocks, which will instantly pop its tires!

Zomboni is a considerable threat, instantly flattening any plant it reaches before its destruction, though the player should be pretty well-equipped to combat it, and the ice is laid on the right side of the screen, rather than the precious left side. Pretty manageable! But Zomboni is only the beginning, and as much delight and intrigue as I have gleaned from Zomboni's existence, it's what FOLLOWS Zomboni that is, in fact, my favorite zombie(s) in the game.

If Zomboni is allowed to create an ice trail, it will be used by Zombie Bobsled Team! Yeah, Frank got a whole "name/debut" section and these guys just get a bolded name in a sentence. You never know what I'm gonna do next! Hee hee!

Zombie Bobsled Team is exactly what it sounds like! A team of zombies, in a bobsled! So that's four zombies, with a defensive vehicle that has to be destroyed before they can be harmed! Zomboni was already over-the-top silly, and then Zombie Bobsled Team goes even higher over that top. And it's a Big Top, where they keep all the clowns. There is not much else I can say about Zombie Bobsled Team, but it really speaks for itself!

For some reason there exists official art of "Mullet Zombie", the Zomboni driver without his vehicle and hat. And for an even somer reason, they put it on the box art for the DS version! PvZ1 is simply very strange when it comes to official key art. Messed up.

Its kind of fun to hear these because I am so desperate for either all the scripts to be released or for them to have continued the awesome Merlin books until the end (Im forever mad and sad that they didn't because the books really added extra detail and got inside the characters heads they were so good and just imagine them for late season Merthur IM SO DHFVBEWHBFHK)

TopHat's thoughts on Dragons Rising

Now that I finally got a good look at Dragons Rising (seriously, I looked high and low for where I can access all episodes)

I have to say.....

IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I already liked it through the clips I watched and all of season 1, but season 2 was awesome!!!

The DR intro hit me like a freaking truck when I first heard it in season 1, but it definitely grew on me and now I love it!! (The iconic weekend whip will be missed tho)

I adore the new additions to the main cast!!! (I'll primarily talk about the main guys)

I love what they're doing with Arin!!! I love how his situation isn't simply a "never meet your heroes" thing (I guess it would be because of Wu) but I see it as "wrong place, wrong time", Arin started out as the ultimate fanboy of the ninja, you'd usually expect a character like that to be some sort of underdog, but Arin hasn't improved AT ALL under Lloyd's teaching while Sora and Wyldfyre did, the pressure from the blood moon and the forbidden 5 isn't helping, and with the manipulation from Ras (which actually benefits his spinjitzu) he loses more patience with Lloyd, strengthening the cycle of the master being rejected by their student. I don't think Arin is evil at all, he's just a child who wants to find his parents at the end of the day, the only person he thought could help him, his idol, let him down. If Morro really is returning (minus the wind powers) I definitely see them having an encounter!

Sora, is my favourite!! Unlike Arin, she has been improving a lot, while she isn't a master of spinjitzu, she's definitely close! I freaking love her design, it's so cute and her personality and style shines through her ninja outfit. In Imperium she never truly had someone who appreciated her, or encouraged her to go beyond and reach her potential in her own way, not even her family, the ninja gave her that freedom and kindness to help her evolve into someone who can win a freaking elemental tournament!! It's just incredibly satisfying to see her progress and be the ninja that she was born to be!! She, along with Wyldfyre, continue the chain of a second chance to teach and do better than the first.

Speaking of Wyldfyre, she's incredible!! She does her own thing and she's great at it! I love how she's basically Kai's daughter now too! She kinda reminds me of Sticks the Badger in some way and honestly I'm all for it. She's hilarious and once she learns spinjitzu and rising dragon, the merged realms better watch out! (Also that little thing with Roby was adorable)

Riyu was fun! It's nice that dragons qualify as ninja too (which makes sense for Lloyd to conclude because he's part dragon) and seeing him grow and mature was so sweet!!

We must protect Bonzle at all costs, she's precious, just trying to live her life as a person and not a spell. If anything happens to her, I'll lose my shit!!!

Now for the og ninja!!

Lloyd!!! Bro definitely needs therapy! I like how he officially became the main teacher this time and now he's leading the next generation, but that inevitable fight with an "improved but now with the enemy" Arin is gonna suck for him lol. But yeah, Lloyd was amazing here, definitely came a long and satisfying way from the bratty child in rise of the snakes

Speaking of things that are gonna suck for someone... Nya cannot catch a break! Though I'm glad that my queen has been getting the narrative respect she deserves since probably skybound (y'know the whole identity as the "girl ninja" or the "damsel") I still adore Nya though, she's one of my goats and the mentor role she has now definitely suits her nature as she's learned to embrace failure and use it to improve constantly. But as I was saying, she simultaneously went through almost losing her brother and basically losing her husband (or fiancé? Idk) let my girl be happy, she didn't come back from being a literal state of matter for this!! But yeah that encounter will definitely be a lot to handle!

Kai was fire, as usual!!! He's definitely a lot less hot-headed than he was before, perfectly suited for a mentor role as well! I also think that it's also a really cool development that, while he was the last of the four main ninja to unlock his true potential in the very first season of Ninjago, he was the very first of the ninja to master rising dragon here, It was so satisfying!!! And of course, Nya was also one of the first here when she was dead last in Possession.

Cole is obviously goated! The new voice grew on me (rip Kirby, you're a freaking legend) also leave it to Cole to basically get someone to switch sides through pure kindness even if they're working for the enemy, looks like someone is getting a disciple next season! Also, I can't forget the Goblin™. Geo's a sweetheart and he's exceptionally creative, he and Cole are amazing for each other (also a certain artist on Tumblr got me to love the poly ship between Cole, Geo and Vania!!)

Zane, what else is there to say? He's pure perfection! He had plenty of funny moments and lots of time to shine as usual. He's my favourite ninja, and if you know how I treat my favourite characters in any media, that's all I'd need to say

Jay... Oh boy shit's about to go down! Agent Walker was fun, Shatterspin Jay vs Nya was absolutely heartbreaking, but Rogue is gonna be freaking insane!!! I can't wait to see how they're gonna make Jay of all people intimidating, I feel like they're gonna pull it off, they basically did with the "and I will always hate you" line, like damn!! This is the same guy who Kai roasted daily?? The same guy that had that game show??? How did that guy make me almost shit myself?? Can't wait for Rogue!! And hopefully he gets his memory back, I miss him freaking out. And also it hurts to see Nya upset about the memory loss while Jay isn't able to remember what he means to her. And also I miss the iconic duo of Cole and Jay (pretty much every ninja pairing is iconic but yeah)

I said... Way more than I thought I was gonna say, but yeah, whatever they're cooking for this series next, I want that and a side of curly fries and dino nuggets!!!!

Today on DPxDC fic recs: Like and Survive

The full title is Like and Survive - Phantom’s Guide to Young Hero Survival and it’s absolutely incredible. It has so many good things in it!! Spoilers ahead, obviously, but I’m about to gush about this fic bc it’s my third time rereading it since I discovered it last month and it’s so frickin good!!

First of all, I love Dana Winters (Tim Drake’s stepmom) in this fic. She’s absolutely iconic and as someone who has read the original Robin run she was featured in, the author definitely did her justice. This is the good Dana characterization I’m here for and I’m obsessed. They did her right and I love it.

Second of all, the TimKon in this is wonderful. It’s so pure and wholesome and it’s so well written and I love it.

Third of all, Clark actually being a good dad to Kon is fabulous and I love it. Finally, some good wholesome characterization of these two!! I always thought Kon deserved better in canon and Clark just being the absolute perfect dad to Kon, to the point that Kon’s friends adopt Clark as their dad too, is wonderful and so precious and so healing for me.

Speaking of Kon’s friends, fourth of all, Team Gay is fucking fabulous. As someone whose social life in high school also revolved entirely around my small pack of fellow queers, it’s so wonderful to see that dynamic represented and done so well. Team Gay is fabulous and I love how much they support each other.

Fifth of all (the “of all” is starting to sound weird at this point lmao), Danny and the rest of the Amity folks’ characterizations is very well done. I love seeing an adult Danny helping people around him so they don’t have to deal with the bullshit he did, while also seeing him and his loved ones throw themselves wholeheartedly into helping others. I love seeing Danny as he struggles with all the bullshit life (and death) keeps throwing at this poor overpowered dumbass with a heart of gold. He’s dealing with Ghost King things, he’s dealing with his evolving polyamorous relationship, he’s still his city’s hero, and despite all that, he still makes time to help the people who come to him for assistance. He still goes out of his way to be awesome, and so does the rest of Amity Park. I love it.

Sixth of all (screw it, I’m committing to the bit), I love Jason Todd’s whole shtick in this fic. (Hey, that rhymed!) As normal for DPxDC fics involving Jason, the pit water is connected to ecto and is corrupting him but Danny can fix it and he does. And then, in this fic, we get to see Jason go on a wonderful journey of healing as he finds a way to be a hero (Blue Hood is very iconic but I also love that the author didn’t just throw Red Hood out the window), reconnect with his family, and be an all around badass.

Seventh of all, Tim Drake’s characterization is so well done. It’s like a fix it fic for canon in the way that it takes canon and molds it so it heals my soul, but it also addresses how fucked up canon made him. Like, yeah, this fic does an incredible job making life better for Tim and his family and making them a real family (and also keeping Dana around bc she deserves it) but it also doesn’t just sweep canon under the rug. It addresses the fact that some of the shit Tim’s gone through left him with shit self-esteem. It addresses that Tim has a lot on his plate and he needs a fuckin break. But it also does this while respecting the character of Tim Drake at his core. Just look at Stephanie replacing him. In canon, Bruce did it in a super shitty way and it left poor Tim kinda vaguely traumatized and it made even Alfred made at Bruce. Canon!Alfred was mad at Canon!Bruce for how he handled Stephanie learning Tim’s identity and later becoming Robin. That’s how shitty it was. But in this fic, Bruce has been to ✨therapy✨. (Shout out to Jazz Fenton for putting up with Bruce’s bs! And also for the wonderful tidbit we got of her friendship with Harley.) So Bruce doesn’t take the Robin mantle away from Tim when he’s less available. And when Tim is unavailable to be Robin, both Steph and Bruce make sure that Tim is very clear on the fact that this is temporary and that the Robin mantle is his again the second he’s ready. It’s on Tim’s timeline, so he can heal at his own pace and make sure he’s at a place in life where he’s okay to be Robin again. It’s not taken from him. Steph isn’t even borrowing the mantle. She’s just doing him a favor and filling in while he’s out of commission. It’s so much better and it makes Steph and Tim be able to be around each other a lot easier without all of the bullshit that canon threw at them.

Eighth of all, this fic is so well written. I feel like I’m reading a novel, the prose is great and the plot is well-thought-out.

Honestly, I could keep going on and on for hours. This fic is so good and it does so much right. I don’t know nearly as much about John Constantine but from what I can see, his and Noah’s stuff is also really well done, and even as someone who barely is aware of them, their parts are still a good read.

I just love this fic so much and if you like DPxDC stuff (or if you just love DC and are okay with Danny Phantom & co. barging into the plot everyone once in a while), I highly recommend you give this fic a read. Like and Survive is fabulous and I cannot wait to see where it goes from here!

Winx Club Transformations Tier List

I'm getting flamed for this one.

Okay, I'm gonna go through my explanations for each transformation, but here's how I look at it: I take five main factors when it comes to judging a transformation:

Obtainment: How is the transformation obtained? What do the Winx have to go through or prove to get it? Are they all given it at once (bad) or do they all get it separately through their own actions (good)?

Aesthetics: How good are the outfits? Are they visually appealing? Do they fit the theme of the transformation nicely? Are they able to compliment the individual's personality or are they all just copy and pasted to save precious time and money? On that last point the way I look at it is: if I was to draw an OC in a given transformation, someone else should be able to tell which transformation it is without it just being a carbon copy and without being told.

Sequence: Pretty simple: Is the sequence fun to watch? And does it go well with the music? Speaking of which

Music: How good is the song(s) to go with the sequence? (this is important trust me)

Power: What do the Winx get from having it? Are the unique powers it has interesting? And does it make sense for what they're trying to accomplish?

So, why have I ranked each transformation the way I have? Let's dive right in.

Magic Winx (S-Tier): Can't go wrong with the original. Magic Winx is one of the most iconic magical girl forms of all time and for good reason. There is so much beauty in simplicity, the outfits look amazing even though they're very simple. The sequence is very fun and factors in the personalities of the Winxes nicely like with the disc Musa spins on, something that many of the other transformations didn't do. All topped off by banger songs from both the 4Kids and RAI dubs. Magic Winx is a classic and very deserving of S-Tier.

Charmix (B-Tier): This one is hard to comment on because it really should be considered a powerup similar to the Believix wings, not a full transformation. But it seems to be included more because it's the closest thing season 2 has to its own transformation and it's also just from the original trilogy so it seems to get this consideration. In any case, the way of making fairies temporarily stronger is logical especially with how powerful Darkar is. It's also one of the few to be obtained incrementally, as in each Winx gets it on their own which is something I really like even if it's a bit quick, it makes them feel less like a hivemind. Kinda weird it never gets used beyond season 2 but whatever.

Enchantix (S-Tier): What hasn't been said about Enchantix at this point? It's just awesome all around. The outfits are magnificent. The visuals of the sequence look superb and it combines together with an absolute banger of a song that is so intensive but also fits the elegance of Enchantix perfectly. And there's the fairy dust theme which is amazing too. And also the second fairy dust theme which only plays like two or three times but it feels like you're ascending to a higher plain it's just majestic and incredible I can't describe it. It is also the only true incremental transformation in my view. Taking a good 10 episodes from Aisha getting it in S3E6 to Bloom in E16. Every time it's obtained is a great moment for the Winx and they desperately need it's advanced powers to take on Valtor and his series of new threats. Enchantix is the best transformation through and through (very original opinion I know).

Believix (A-Tier): The "level above Enchantix" bullshit Faragonda what are you chatting about? Anyway, Believix is great. The outfits look fabulous and the sequence is very fun to watch. Especially with the outfits we're just before the point where they start to look way too similar and not reflecting the characters' personality. If I'm honest, ranked purely on music it would probably be on the lower end but the song is still amazing, it's just the competition is extremely high in that category. This would be probably be S-Tier but the way it's obtained is definitely a good few steps below Enchantix where they all get it once, it made sense for the occasion but I just love how they all gain Enchantix separately. In any case: Believix is still one of the best transformations.

Sophix (A-Tier): The first sub-transformation on the list. It's good, only used for a couple episodes and like probably existed to sell dolls but it's fine. The outfits look fine and the song is super underrated, more people need to talk about it because it feels so majestic and beautiful.

Lovix (A-Tier): Sophix's twin sister doesn't disappoint, I probably like the outfits even more and the music is really good as well. I think I prefer Sophix just a little more but Lovix is still A-Tier for me.

Harmonix (D-Tier): Oh here we go, everything up until this point has been pretty uncontroversial but I think this one will ruffle some feathers. I'm sorry Harmonix fans, I know you're out there but I don't like Harmonix at all. The outfits are carbon copies of each other and I don't like them at all. The music is pretty good but the sequence is whatever and just a good song won't save it. Additionally, Harmonix has zero reason to exist, it's just Sirenix training wheels and you know it's true. They just get given similar powers to Sirenix whilst completing the Sirenix Quest? Why couldn't they have just kept Believix for that? It would've made it even harder to get things done and proved they wanted it more. Maybe some people think differently but I think that's pretty lame, I really don't know what purpose it was meant to ser- oh yeah they have to sell dolls don't they. But yeah, I make no apologies that I don't like Harmonix at all, excluding the season 7 transformations I think it's the worst in the entire series and might be the most unnecessary.

Sirenix (B-Tier): May be the most popular post-S4 transformation but I've always had a difficult relationship with it. Historically it's been my least favourite but in recent times I've come around to liking it. The best thing about it is the Sirenix Quest they have to go on. This might be the highest stakes of any transformation, they have to go through a lot to get the transformation and it comes down to the wire with them nearly losing their magic entirely making for a tense watch. So why only B-Tier? I hate the outfits, they're way too similar and just don't look good at all. I really don't like them. But otherwise it's easily one of the best, and I still feel like I'm gonna warm up to it more with time so the next time I do this don't be surprised if it goes up.

Bloomix (A-Tier): Yes, just yes, Bloomix is so cool. The warrior aesthetic is very different from others but I love it so so much. They're pretty similar but there are worse offenders for sure (lookin' at you Harmonix), and also Tecna's outfit is perfect, she looks like a tech support girl which I love. Plus the song is banger (I know I say banger a lot but just work with me here) and the sequence is really cool too. The way it's obtained is a little lame, Bloom sharing the dragonflame is cool but I don't really get the whole "defeating some bad guy" to get it thing it just didn't make sense to me, Bloom more or less created it why can't they just get it there and then? On a side note: I feel like season 6 has to be the most disappointing season, the season aesthetically was cool with the theme of mythology and legends and shit and that went along with Bloomix, it really could've been something good to drag the show out of the hole it was beginning to dig. But in the end it was just good ideas and bad execution. But I digress.

Mythix (C-Tier): A lot of people seem to really hate Mythix and I do get why. To me though I think it's the most average in a way, like if you ranked every transformation out of 10, Mythix to me is like halfway between the best and the worst transformation wherever those lie, hence C-Tier. The outfits are... okay I guess, the music is good and they did have to go through quite a bit to get it. Though I will say the wands are dumb and childish and I wish they didn't have them. I don't know, Mythix is just "fine" to me.

Butterflix (F-Tier): Oh lord here we are, we made it to season 7. Like with Enchantix but the inverse: what bad hasn't been said about Butterflix? The outfits are tacky and all look literally identical besides the colours like oh my god this is so bad. That dance is just... what. The way it's obtained is pretty bland and lame too. The one good thing is the music which is one of the best tracks in the entire show, I made a post about it a while back because goddamn is it catchy, but it's not gonna save what is fundamentally the worst transformation in the show.

Tynix (D-Tier): What do I say about Tynix? Like the music's decent and some of the visuals are good. But it's still got the season 7 factor of just feeling so childish and stupid, do you get me? I don't know, all this shit about mini worlds and magical animals is just so lame, I hate this show so much sometimes.

Dreamix (A-Tier): Banger all around. It has what might be the coolest sequence in the entire series, the visuals are amazing and go along really well with an absolutely beautiful song. The outfits are pretty unique and I like them a lot. I've seen a good chunk of people who dislike Dreamix but I don't get it at all, what's there not to love? It's great.

Onyrix (C-Tier): Onyrix is like Dreamix but worse in every way. It didn't really feel that essential especially considering how similar it is aesthetically. The song isn't as good, the sequence isn't as good, like I said, it's just a worse version of Dreamix which just makes it disappointing. I really wish they tried to make more disctinctive. It feels like an unused early version of Dreamix.

Cosmix (A-Tier): Yep, I am a Cosmix defender until the day I die. Where do I even start with this? Well the music for one is soooooooo good. And the sequence visually looks cool too with the Winxes fading in from a starry outline. The outfits look pretty good too in my opinion and are about as distinct as Bloomix was so I'll give it that. In terms of obtaining it was kinda boring (I think? I haven't watched season 8 in a while lol) but like what can you do? Cosmix is cool and more people need to realise it.

Crystal Sirenix (C-Tier): One of the strangest ones, like why did they need another form of Sirenix randomly at the end of season 8? I'm not sure don't ask me. Though tbh I think I like the outfits slightly more than regular Sirenix just because I don't like those at all as I've expressed, but for the most part it feels fairly unnecessary and forgettable.

Aaaaaaaaaand that is my thoughts on the transformations. Plenty of good and plenty of bad. I've probably lost my entire following by now but if you don't hate me by this point uhhhh that's cool? Thanks for reading this thing it took fucking ages to write lmao. Have a good day.

Our wild adventure in Yorkshire 1st-8th June 2024 

Over the past week we have had another fantastic, packed, relaxing and breathtaking wild holiday this year, this time returning to the Yorkshire coast for a trip based around visiting the incredible RSPB Bempton Cliffs. It was an amazing week. 

The main highlights came on the visits to Bempton on Monday and Friday, going on a boat trip underneath there and Flamborough Head on Wednesday and visits to Flamborough Head and North Landing and Thornwick Bay where we were mesmerised to be immersed in bustling seabird colonies. It was magical especially to be ensconced in the elegant world of Gannets, seeing these remarkable and bold sea kings and queens in huge numbers was an honour getting views of ones with vegetation in their bills, scuffles and many flying and still views. The enchanting Puffins with their parrot beaks were also stars of the trip, I can never tire of these birds which awaken by heart. As do Guillemots and Razorbills, more awesome auks treasured at close quarters this week. Another of my favourites the Fulmars meandered in the wind and brought me much joy. Also making Bempton and Flamborough stand out are true seagulls, the angelic Kittiwakes whose onomatopoeic calls provide the colonies’ main soundtrack, precious to witness seeing the quirky sight of the ones nesting on buildings in urban Bridlington too. The sight, sound and smell of seabird colonies enriched my soul. Also seen this week were Herring Gulls well including young, Shag, Sandwich Tern and loads of Little Terns on a first visit to places I had always wanted to go the peculiar and almost otherworldly Spurn and Kilnsea Wetlands.  

At Kilnsea Wetlands we saw a surprise bird of the trip with exhilarating views of our first Yellow Wagtails of the year, part of a rich farmland double of bird year ticks for me this trip alongside thrilling views of a grand pair of Grey Partridges on a walk from Bempton. We were spellbound to watch two owls, brilliant Barn Owl views at Bempton and epic views of stunning Short-eared Owl at Flamborough North Landing just before setting off for home today. Also standing out throughout the week were a scattering of other pretty passerines; luxurious views of Bempton’s gorgeous Tree Sparrows birds I love seeing, strong Sedge Warbler views, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Stonechat including young, Reed Buntings, Dunnock, House Sparrow, Starling, Goldfinch, Song Thrush, lots of views of hirundines Swallow, House Martin and Sand Martin including on nests and Swifts. It was good to see Pheasants and Stock Dove too. Beautiful Little Ringed Plover, Ringed Plover, Avocet, Grey Plover, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Grey Heron, Teal and Wigeon mostly at Kilnsea Wetlands and Spurn were nice wader and waterfowl sightings with a Cuckoo’s call heard in a third area of the country for us this year alongside Hampshire and Scotland reverberating over the North York Moors landscape at Fen Bog Nature Reserve. 

Lepidoptera played a big part in the week with my treasured first sighting of a Small Copper this year a butterfly I needed to see at Fen Bog Nature Reserve and it was also good to see some of my last Orange Tips of the year I shall imagine with them coming to their end especially at home with lovely Painted Lady at Bempton Cliffs, Red Admiral, Dingy Skipper, Speckled Wood and Green-veined White other butterflies enjoyed. Silver Y and Mother Shipton were good to see too as was Brown House moth where we stayed. We also saw some nice caterpillars, burnet moth, Garden Tiger moth and Brown-tail moth. 

Onto other wildlife and mammals starred in the week with astonishing sightings of Weasel and Field Voles at Bempton Cliffs providing me some of my moments of the year, making my mammal year list my joint highest ever alongside last year’s total. It was breathtaking to watch iconic Grey Seals from land and from the boat at Flamborough Head with some powerful intimate experiences. Brown Hare on another holiday this year, Rabbit and Grey Squirrel were nice to see too. Fen Bog brought more marvellous moments with my first giant Golden-ringed Dragonfly and thrilling Common Lizard of the year, with bees, lots of snails and slugs including Black Slugs, flies, a Green Tiger beetle at Fen Bog also seen in Scotland, at home and Yorkshire for me this year and Long-bodied Cellar Spider at where we stayed other highlights. 

There were some fabulous flowers seen with hogweed and red campion painting swathes of colour on Bempton’s seaside meadows. Common butterwort and heath bedstraw at Fen Bog Nature Reserve and many marsh orchids adorning the coast were other key species seen. Other key flowers enjoyed across the week were meadow crane’s-bill, herb-Robert, yellow rattle, plantain, white and red clover, groundsel, oxeye daisy, daisy, chamomile, hawksbeard, sow thistle, milkwort, comfrey, poppies, mouse-ear chickweed, green alkanet, roses, buttercups, cuckooflower, vetch and seas of kidney vetch painting cliffs.

Thursday brought something slightly different for us with a look at nearby to where we stayed Sewerby Hall and Gardens; feeling inspired to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition and enjoying gladiolus, roses and forget-me-not in the gardens and Humboldt Penguins, Racoon Dogs and Rheas in the Zoo among others. Quite something to see Penguins which I love then see the auks Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffin on a look at Thornwick Bay later in the day; my early childhood obsession with Penguins meaning I was drawn to these northern hemisphere counterparts when I first got into birdwatching in my mid-late childhood sowing the seeds for my hobby and passion something I reflected on a lot this week in this big seabird experiences. Finally particularly centring on rugged and stunning coast but also including meadows, moor and marsh and hints of woodland with picture postcard seaside at Bridlington too I have taken in some breathtaking views this week and nice sky scenes too. An unforgettable and extraordinary week.

As someone who is long-time fan of Mlp EG and who has just finished watching TFP, your fic is true delight. I read it 5 times at least and it is still awesome. You perfectly matched girls with their autobots partners just as well as you did with decepticons as their evil counterpart. For example Twilight/Shockwave - both have high inteligence, but while one uses it for greater good and to help the others, the other abuses it to gain power and hurt the others; Fluttershy/Soundwave - even thought they are both animal lovers and quiet types, FS is just very shy girl while SW is calculating sadist; Rainbow/Starscream - Apart from being queer icons (If you can look at these two without the word gay constantly entering your mind, congrats, you´re legit cishet) they´re actually pretty similliar in function and personallity wise. They´re both eccentric, aroggant showoffs and are also fastest on their team. But it´s their differences that are making them great foils. RD is impaitent hothead, who jumps straight into action without the second thought, while SC is great schemer, who has his plans planed out. RD is literally element of loyalty, while SC is mostly loyal to himself and etc. I can´t wait to see all their interactions in the future. If you´re interested in some writting advice, there is one minor thing that can be fixed : your description of characters feelings and thought. You start explaining how and why they feel that way instead of giving readers benefit of the doubt. The best term I can think of is that you are describing a picture. Like you want us to see, hear and understand everything at once. It creates unnecessary sentences or whole paragraphs without which some emotional moments would have sounded better. For example if paragraph in Ch.2 with sentence "She was too stuborn." it would have sounded so much better. Or sentences like "She was too precious." are also kind of waste of space since they don´t tell anything new.It´s not worst type of description,but it can create a feeling that you don´t trust youre readers to read from emotions characters alone. Many new writers and comic artists are often doing this. It can be solved 2 ways : by improving their writing or start drawing comics. I´m sorry if I confussed you in some way. I tried my best to explain it, but english is not my primary language. If you don´t mind, I would recommend fics from @whatwooshkai to see what I am talking about ( it´s mostly TF shipping stuff, but man, the writting is so good that I can´t stop reading even if I wanted to). Overall great story and art, just writting needs a little improvment.

I want to finish this already long post with few questions:

1.What is group dynamic with eachother? I mean in and outside of their decided pairings. I can see Sideswipe and Rainbow´s relationship as chaos siblings and that Rainbow is definitely driving Ratchet insane, but what about the others? I´m courious to know.

2.Did you already started writting the next book? If not, do you have planned when you will start?

3.Do you consider draw this as a full time comic or at least draw some parts of it? Or drawing some strips of your incorrect quotes?It´s just that you´re artstyle is so pretty and redesigns of the autobots and girls are great. It´s shame to see so little of them.

4. Did you thought about getting your comics dubbed on youtube?

5. Do you draw ideas from the asks from your followers on Tambrlane or you take commissions only? Like if they had a idea for a comic/sketch and they post it to you, would you draw it? If not, could they draw it with your redesignes?

2. The next book is nearly finished, I will make sure to post it at the beginning of January.

3. I will drop more art soon, promise! Sorry for the lack of content, I’ve been pretty busy for the past few months. But now I’m finally free and I will certainly start drawing again! I also have several ideas in mind for some parts of the next book.

4. I don’t mind my comics being dubbed as long as I’m credited and they’ve asked for permission.

5. Again, if I’m credited and asked for permission, there will be no problem for other artists to draw my redesigns. I don’t usually take requests and it really depends on my free time and motivation, but if I really like the idea that has been suggested, I would (probably) draw it.

6. Good guess! But actually no. I was really into this crossover way before Hasbro decided to make a comic of it. I’ve been into a lot of fandoms and reading crossover fanfics basically became like a hobby to me. I got a lot of inspiration after I accidentally stumbled upon some pretty good written Tf/Mlp fics, but it took me a lot of time to finally get enough courage and start writing my own. Cuddles: Instead of doing family-wise, I’ll do personal pets! Remus is a chihuahua mix and my precious son, I could literally not live without him. Navi is a fluffy gray tabby Siamese mix and she’s a darlin to me, but not everyone else. Clementine is my bearded dragon and she is SO sassy and lowkey a bitch, we have a love/hate relationship. Leo is one of my leopard geckos, and he definitely has a personality. Corvus is my other leopard gecko and he is THE biggest sweetheart ever and loves cuddles!!!

Sweetheart: My fav cup used to be a Harry Potter one but now it’s switched to my Girl Scout hydroflask. I’m not a vsco girl, but you will NEVER see me without it. It’s so awesome and keeps my water super cool and I’m always mega hydrated.
