i'm rewatching rebels and ezra really has no idea what's coming he's really like "i'm all for sticking it to the empire but i'd never stick my neck out this far" and "why would i help a group of strangers?". like okay dude hera just told you "if all you do is fight for your own life then your life is worth nothing. they need you right now" and then that basically became your motto for the rest of your life to the point where you sacrifice yourself and stranded in another galaxy for 10 years. "why would i help a group of strangers" just wait for your character development

nurse sheâs out again
Iâve been thinking a lot about who Treech and Lamina are and their relationship to each other and mostly the downfall of it. I wanted to put all those thoughts down into one place and I always enjoy reading character analyses so I thought Iâd share!
To preface, this is my own personal take on them and an insight to the way I write them in fics. This is entirely the movie side of them. I enjoy their book versions, but the movie created a very compelling relationship that I have yet to move on from. I would love to hear other thoughts and opinions so please donât hesitate to share if you feel the need to!
To start, I view them as childhood friends. There are a few options of how I think their relationship could have gone (that is to say developing into a romantic relationship or staying friends) pre-hunger games, but I know that in all of them, they care deeply about the other.
Individually, this is how I write them:
Treech:
To me, Treech is the oldest of two younger sisters and the burden of that is a defining part of his character. His entire family is still intact and that also weighs heavy on him. I think he lives in fear of what could happen to him, his family, and everything he cares about. This leads to an attempt at trying to care about as few people as possible. He tries to keep his head down and mind his own. He keeps everyone at arms-length. He has friends but they are shallow relationships and only viewed as people to spend time with. He will not do anything to put his life and his familyâs life at risk. They get by and in that world, have a good life. He is not going to be the one to ruin that. He has not lost anything of value in his life and in turn, that makes him terrified.
Treech has never lost anyone. He doesnât know how he would react to grief. It terrifies him because heâs never done it. As much as he tries not to he loves deeply, but he is so afraid of loving more than necessary because he has never lost, and when you live in the world they do, losing is inevitable and simply a matter of waiting.
I view him as a slave to self-imposed duty, someone who would sacrifice anything for the few people he loves (*cough cough* his own innocence), as well as someone with an unhealthy dose of self-hatred.
I think Treech is constantly fighting with himself. His dislike for himself, his inability to allow himself to be close to people and his unwavering kindness and sense of duty are in direct opposition of each other at all times. Everything in him is always fighting to gain the power and it really is just a matter of what day it is as to which trait is the strongest.
He is not consistent with his thoughts and feelings and switches up very easily. Heâs hard to get a read on because you think you understand him and you do but only for that moment because the next minute he feels the opposite way.
I think Treech views himself as uninfluential and not really someone of any consequence, which to me is why he becomes so infatuated with Lamina.
Lamina:
Lamina lost a mother during the war, and later two older twin brothers who were rebels and died because of that. It is just her and her father (which in my head also meets the headcanon of why she is better dressed than Treech; family of two vs. family of five). Where Treech has never lost anyone heâs loved, Lamina has lost nearly everyone. While a lot of times this would make someone cold, it makes Lamina even more determined to relish in the things she values. She loves, and she refuses to lessen that love just because she may lose it.
I think when you lose someone, it forces you to face not only your own mortality but also everyone elseâs. Lamina takes that mortality and instead of being scared of it promises to make the most of it. Not only that but I think it makes you even more confident in your own strength. If you can get through the loss of someone you love, I think there are very few things you canât get through. Lamina knows this and she knows how she reacts to grief. She trusts that she has the strength to love and lose because she has done itâ multiple timesâ and she has survived.
I think Lamina is wickedly smart and enjoys learning. I view her as someone who is extremely emotionally intelligent and mature, but for all her confidence in her strength, I think she is also insecure. Typically, I find that people with that kind of maturity at such a young age are ostracized because their peers simply arenât at that level yet and most of the time what kids donât understand they label as weird. I think Lamina became very used to the feeling of being alone and at times fed into the notion that her differences were bad. I imagine Treech was the first person to ever treat her intelligence as something that is simply âcoolâ and not something that makes her incapable of being a kid.
I picture Lamina as someone who is cohesive and a flowing picture of all of her different traits. She accepts each one for what it is and allows it to do its job in her life. She tries to always be better but she doesnât drown in her faults.
Notice how above I say often âthis is what they think about themselvesâ. They think certain ways about themselves when the opposite is true. Perspective!
In actuality, Treech is strong in his devotions and uneasily swayed from them. He views himself as weak-minded when really he is so stuck in his views he cannot change. He believes that keeping everyone at arms length will keep his heart safe when in reality it does more harm than good. He thinks he is of no consequence to anyone, tries so hard to not cause any trouble, yet makes an impact on every person heâs come into contact with. I believe Treechâs number one character trait is that he is kind. Itâs in his nature to help and I think he physically cannot stop himself. Itâs just something that happens. Itâll be one instance that he thinks means nothing but means everything to someone else (i.e. being kind to Lamina as children is something he doesnât even think of because âanyone would do thisâ yet none of their peers had ever done it before). He thinks heâs inconsequential but he impacts people without even knowing it.
Lamina believes she is unnerving to others when in reality she has that kind of spark that makes it hard to look away. Think about those people who are inexplicably infatuating. So yeah, in a way she is unnerving, but only because you canât help but notice her. Sheâs an enigma whoâs been labeled as weird.
However, I donât think they are that different from each other. Instead, I think it is the way they go about those similarities that make them different.
For example:
Treech is kind and he wants so badly not to be. Lamina is kind and wishes she were more so. Where she sees her kindness and empathy as a strength, Treech views his as a weakness.
I think they both are intense about their love, but where one runs from the strength of his love, the other does everything she can to make it stronger.
They both are fiercely loyal. Treech tries to limit that loyalty to his family, but Lamina wishes to give it to everyone.
The ironic part about this is that the traits Treech sees as faults in himself he sees as otherworldly in Lamina. (Perspective đ)
I picture Treech to have almost in a sense placed Lamina atop a pedestal. She is everything he wishes he were; open, free, and believing in good. Lamina in his eyes is something he is unworthy of, but also something he thinks would ruin him should he ever lose it. She is something to be protected but never touched.
This is so unhealthy though, because itâs impossible to be in a relationship with someone you donât view as an equal.
Lamina, however, grounded sweetheart that she is, views Treech as human. She adores him for all that he isâ good and bad. She adores him for his kindness and for his fearfulness. Lamina values Treech because she values every living being. But she loves him because he is Treech.
However, the downside of this is that I imagine she lets him get away with many things because he was the first person outside of her family to be kind for the sake of being kind. I think Treech would reject a lot of her attempts at getting closer and refuse to admit how much he cares about her. I think Lamina, who is so declarative with her love and wants the same back, is only able to look past this because she convinces herself that the only thing that matters about him is his kindness. Kindness she has been a firsthand witness to and kindness that impacted her at a young age. Sheâs seen the good in him and refuses to let that good be outshined by all his bad, even if that means becoming a bit of a doormat for his bad habits.
Lamina grows to love Treech over a period of time as she forces herself to push past all his flaws. Treech loves her in an instant because he canât help himself.
This plays into the part above where I talked about how Treech thinks he doesnât impact anyone when in reality itâs impossible for him not to and how Lamina has that quality about her that forces everyone to at least look at her.
When Treech shows Lamina that first act of kindness as kids, he impacts her life in a way that makes it impossible for her to not want to know him. Lamina inherently has that quality about her, the quality that makes people want to know her, and Treech, guarded, closed-off Treech, is unable to escape her pull.
In my head, there is literally no world where they donât immediately mean something to each other, because it is literally engraved into who they are. Treech impacts everyone, Lamina forces everyone to impact her.
In a perfect world, Treech goes to therapy for his self-hatred and Lamina gains a little bit of self-worth (i.e. tells Treech to figure his shit out instead of taking it out on her) however they live in Panem and that is not possible.
Thus their downfall.

hihi! may or may not have read some of your fics and was wondering why you decided to make clemensia the one who saves the tributes in can't catch us now / the one who helps Felix out in thievery goes further than nepotism?
Hi! Thank you for reading my fics I hope you're enjoying them! Sorry for the wait, but hopefully the answer makes up for it. It's a bit of a long answer here, but you got me started on a tangent so I hope you don't mind.
The question kind of has two answers to it: the personal reasons why I chose her and the reasons why I feel it makes sense in the terms of said fic.
For personal reasons on why she gets chosen, well, I do love Clemensia, her and Pup are my absolute favourites of the Mentors and her character fascinates me a bit. And so perhaps part of me is getting influenced by preference, however, I always make sure that her reasons for doing so line up with what we know of her character and in the fic itself so that she doesn't seem (completely) out of character.
Because Clemensia is, at least to me, someone who, after the events of TBOSAS, could have become aware of/involved in rebel activities. Whether she had gotten bitten by Gaul's snakes or not, I had kind of felt that it might have been almost inevitable to her in the future, even if it might have taken decades for it to happen (although her reasons for becoming a rebel and her level of knowledge/involvement in rebel activities would then differ depending on the situation and her own personal circumstances - there's a lot of individual factors going on there that would and could influence that, but that's a post for another time).
After all, Clemensia already expressed a reluctance to the Games themselves pre being bitten which itself is unique in the Capitol, especially in the Mentor's circle and that alone sets her apart from the majority of her peers in the book, yet her prejudice towards the Districts is still visible e.g. suggesting to make the tributes Avoxes instead, which she probably thinks is well-deserved and she never made an effort to put herself into the tributes shoes and think about how they might be feeling and their own personal situation. (I'm not including her post-bite behaviour as it's clearly not her normal behaviour and so it would be inaccurate to say that's what her general character is like.)
She's got empathy and the potential to develop rebel leanings, but she isn't perfect either, she has her flaws and her prejudice to the Districts, much like her peers.
Which makes sense as unlike Sejanus, Clemensia and the other Mentors grew up being taught that they were superior to the Districts by virtue of birth and then I have to imagine that the Rebellion and whatever trauma they obtained from that also made it difficult to overcome these prejudices, which wasn't helped by the fact that the Mentorship project is likely the first time any Capitol student is interacting with someone from the Districts (not including Sejanus that is). And then they're battling that possible rising care for someone they were taught is beneath them with a lifetime of propaganda and the knowledge that this kid is very likely going to die in the coming days due to the Hunger Games.
Like, that's a lot to deal it and to overcome, especially when you're only 18 and you would definitely get no support from the adults in your life (with the exception of Dean Highbottom that, who dies shortly after the Games events anyway thanks to Snow).
And I felt that in the aftermath of those experiences as a Mentor, that Clemensia, had she not been bitten and she had gotten the chance to develop some kind of relationship with Reaper, along with the likes of Pup and Lysistrata, would have developed more rebel leanings as they grew older. And it's that (slight) empathy that she already holds towards the Districts and it's potential to grow that makes her one of my favourite characters to use in my fics, although there are often other reasons too.
But in 'Can't Catch Us Now' and 'Thievery Goes Further Than Nepotism' there's also other reasons for her selection.
In 'Can't Catch Us Now', back when I was first starting to write the first few chapters of the fic, I was struck with three different problems/plot bunnies that were taking hold of me:
What would have happened had Clemensia never been bitten? (I had recently read 'Dis Aliter Visum' by inky_dreams on AO3 and it did inspire me.)
How to get Dill and Hy their respective medication?
How might the Mentors pov's and thoughts have developed in the aftermath of the tributes escape after they had gotten the chance to get to know them and bond with them?
All of that was kind of niggling at me and in the end I chose to have Clemensia avoid getting bitten by the snakes, although with a terrifying near miss with Gaul, that helps to serve as a catalyst in Clemensia starting to realise the truth about the Games and for Dennis and Felix to become more involved Mentors and get their tributes the medication. She's not a perfect paragon of goodness either though to keep in line with her canon self, as while she was the one that got Felix and Dennis kick-started on being more involved with their tributes, by bringing Reaper medication to give Dill, she admits to herself that her reasons for doing so hadn't been altruistic, but rather selfishly motivated in wanting a response from Reaper and even when they're talking later on in her pov, she's motivated not by trying to connect with Reaper and earn his trust, but by pointing out the benefits that he can obtain (for Dill) from co-operating with her, which I think is the line of thinking of anyone raised in the Capitol, however, it is still selfishly motivated, although cut in with one or two thoughts that are pointing out the unfairness of the tribute's situation.
Then at the end of Chapter 2 in Can't Catch Us Now, she's starting to question the system more and realise things and she's starting to become more uncomfortable with the way that the Capitol and the people there are treating the tributes and that's tied into why she decided to help the tributes escape in Chapter 4. She's starting to question everything that she's been told, but that isn't an easy task to do, especially considering that eighteen years of prejudice and propaganda isn't an easy thing to overcome and the realisation that she's committed treason for District children. That's a hard thing for any of the Capitol-born Mentors to come to terms with, but I figured that it might be easier for someone like Clemensia who has natural kindness and already a slight inclination of empathy towards the Districts to come to this realisation faster, than someone like, say, Livia (I'm not saying that it would be impossible for Livia to do so, but I imagine that it would definitely take her a lot longer than it would for someone like Clemensia. Like years easily.).
Then in 'Thievery Goes Further Than Nepotism' she was the obvious choice for Felix's partner in crime. Felix, for his mission in stealing from a lab, was looking for someone he a) trusted and b) knew wouldn't try to hinder his mission and Clemensia met both requirements. And those are two separate requirements with both needing to be considered carefully as just because someone is Felix's friend and he trusts them, doesn't mean that he can trust them right now.
Not while the Mentorship project is ongoing.
Because, let's take say, Festus for example, going off the movie especially, these boys were definitely good friends. In a normal scenario, Felix would probably trust him and might go to him for help, but he can't right now. The Mentorship project is still a project for school that they want to do well in first off (especially as I think that academics and a high performance in the same is perhaps very highly regarded and encouraged in the Capitol upper circles as well as a sense of competitiveness) and if we go by the film, they know already that there's a prize on the line. And Festus really wants Coral to win the Games, so therefore can Felix trust then that Festus would actually help him do something that would help Felix's tribute in the Arena when it's possible that by doing so it would put Festus' tribute at a disadvantage?
No, Felix couldn't guarantee genuine help, if anything there was the risk Festus might even try to sabotage his plan then if he had access to it.
That risk goes for basically any Mentor who has a tribute still alive at that point, which takes them off the table as options and even for the Mentors whose tributes are dead and aren't dead/seriously injured themselves (Livia, Palmyra, Florus, Sejanus), I don't see Felix having a close relationship with any of them, definitely not close enough that he'd ask for their help in something like this either.
Apart from Clemensia.
Clemensia was the only person who met both requirements.
Clemensia was both a good friend of Felix's (at least I headcanon that they are) and ironically, Clemensia could also benefit from getting Dill the medication: she might get Reaper's co-operation.
It was clear that Reaper, from Felix's pov and certainly from others as well, was clearly invested in helping Dill and not willing to engage with Clemensia in the slightest. But if she helped get Dill the medication then Reaper might be more receptive to her and more willing to speak to her, which in turn can help Clemensia with her own chances at the Prize.
So there was a reward in a sense for Clemensia if she chose to help Felix here and the situation itself was viewed by both of them as being: 'low risk, high reward' too in a way as both teens doubted that they'd get in serious, if any real trouble for their theft anyway. They didn't expect severe, if any, consequences for their actions. If it failed, then they're no worse off, but if they pulled it off then they'll benefit immensely in their chances for the Prize.
It's a mutual benefit, that I think a lot of partnerships in the Capitol, especially in the upper circles, are built upon.
Hope that answers your ask, sorry it took a while!

Since a twitter mutual asked for an Inquisitor canon guide, I'm revamping my answer to an anon to include some more recent inquisitor canon. I'll get into the substantial canon stories first (which I'd say are the proverbial "must watch/read/play"s), and then into the ones where there might be slightly less content in a list below:
Star Wars: Rebels originated the inquisitors in the new canon and the start of their lore, though I'd argue it wasn't the best at handling them. Despite this, I'd recommend starting here. Introduces the Grand Inquisitor, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister, and Eighth Brother. Also introduces (the ever-elusive) Project Harvester.
Darth Vader (2017): while this is a Vader-focused comic, you get quite a bit of inquisitor lore out of it, and also multiple characters you wonât find anywhere else/many other places. Highly recommend for how it builds up the Grand Inquisitor, Ninth Sister, and Sixth Brother in particular. Also includes the Fifth Brother, Tenth Brother, Iskat, and Tualon in a capacity that develops their characters. The comic additionally goes out of its way to include Seventh, Eighth, and Trilla as background characters. I recommend reading all of it, since I love the way it handles Vader as well, but the inquisitor-focused issues are almost all issues 6-20 minus issues 10 and 18. The writing has some flaws but overall one of my favorite canon comics in terms of story and art.
Jedi: Fallen Order was the blueprint, honestly. What made the inquisitors ascend from goofy side characters in others' stories to tragic villains in their own right. What's not to love about Trilla Suduri? Also provides a fair bit of depth to Ninth Sister, especially in the context of her previous DV (2017) appearances. It also fleshes out the Purge Troopers, who, while not inquisitors, are a fun addition to the organization. Also add a bit of inquisitor capture/initiation lore. I'm not a gamer, so I found a video which compiled all of the story scenes and it did the trick for me (though many gamers do recommend playing).
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Introduces Reva Sevander, and her wonderfully complicated story and character. This is among some of the essential inquisitor watch material for good reason, as it provides context for how inquisitors interpret the group dynamics, as well as a look at their military operations and how a hunt works from their end, somewhat. It also provides some context and/or development for the Grand Inquisitor and Fifth Brother; and introduces the Fourth Sister.
Rise of the Red Blade: The most personal look we get into an inquisitor's backstory and fall, so far (TotE will probably prove me wrong in about a month), this story centers Iskat's time as a Jedi and a bit of her time as an inquisitor. It goes through a Knight's look at the clone wars, and some of the Inquisitor initiation process/first few missions, in addition to glimpses of what a pre-Vader inquisitorius looked like. This book also features Tualon as a prominent character, but notably includes cameos from almost every canon inquisitor minus Reva, Marrok, and Bird Mask.*
*among others, who are more relegated to sourcebooks/secondhand references.
Next on the docket are Barriss' Tales of the Empire shorts, which I assume is going to go into the Inquisitor initiation process in full detail (see also: the reason Delilah Dawson couldn't full delve into it in RotRB), and should feature Barriss, the Fourth Sister, the Grand Inquisitor Marrok, and Bird Mask; and the Inquisitors (2024) comic miniseries coming this summer, which should include the Grand Inquisitor, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister, and Ninth Sister.
I'll organize the rest by characters that you may want to know more about, though please note that there are minor spoilers for the above series (including character names) in the summaries of the series below:
Grand Inquisitor:
The Servants of the Empire series has some Grand Inquisitor lore with a focus on Zare Leonis and (the ever-elusive) Project Harvester. The Grand Inquisitor serves as an antagonist. This is a Middle Grade series, but it's one of the best MG series I've read in Star Wars.
The Grand Inquisitor has appeared in the Rebels manga adaptation! I haven't read it myself, but the art looks good.
He gets a semi-canon appearance in one short story of Star Wars: Dark Legends. He's got creepy vampire vibes, which are cool, and you also get one of my favorite Order 66 survivors in the dubiously-canon Kira Vantala.
[He also gets a spotlight in Issue 6 of Star Wars (2020). Yes, the comic takes place post-esb. Yes, the Grand Inquisitor is there. This one has the most payoff after reading Vader (2017) and watching swr s1
Will probably have a supporting/important role in Barriss' Tales of the Empire shorts.
Second Sister (Trilla Suduri):
Most of her Material is in JFO, but she also gets a spotlight in Jedi Fallen Order: Dark Temple. Though this five-issue comic focuses mostly on Cere, it gives you some good Second Sister content, presented pre-Trilla reveal in-game. It gives you more of her cool and competent inquisitor vibe that way. Also, the dynamic Trilla has with her Purge Trooper Commander is a bonus for me, in this one.
Third Sister (Reva Sevander):
Sadly, not a lot of supplemental content exists for Reva outside of OWK. I suppose I'm obligated to include the Obi-Wan Kenobi Comic Adaptation, but considering the art is about the equivalent of traced-over screenshots, I feel confident in saying you can skip this one.
Fourth Sister (Lyn):
Her...armor appears in Return to Vaderâs Castle 4 and 5. The saboteur wearing it uses her designation, but that's about all the character lore we get. I suspect that more will come in the TotE short.
Will probably have a supporting/important role in Barriss' Tales of the Empire shorts.
Fifth Brother:
He gets a PoV section in Jedi: Battle Scars! Though it's not super substantive, it's the closest we've gotten to a backstory for him, and he gets a hell of a duel in this one. The overall plot is steamy and fun as well, plus Merrin and Fret are worth the price of admission alone.
He also gets a lot of bit parts in other inquisitor media, including OWK and Vader (2017), all of which add up to a more complex character than the man we get in Rebels.
Some comics featuring the Fifth Brother are in the Star Wars Rebels Magazine are in German so if you read the language youâre in luck, but some have been translated into English by fans so you can find them in their tumblr tags.
It seems he'll be a main character in the Inquisitors (2024) comic series.
Sixth Brother (Bil Valen):
The Ahsoka Novel: This is obviously mostly about Ahsoka, but Sixth Brother gets some PoV chapters as well. Though the chapters may initially not seem the most substantive, the other inquisitor canon (plus his scenes in Vader [2017]) builds up around him to end up giving a surprising amount of glimpses into who he is as a person. The Grand Inquisitor also appears here, but his appearance is short enough to not warrant a place in his section.
Seventh Sister:
She plays a somewhat significant role in Iskat's first years in Rise of the Red Blade, though sadly, aside from Rebels, she doesn't have a substantive role in many stories.
Seventh Sister also features in the Star Wars Rebels Magazine stories.
She also seems to be a main character in the Inquisitors (2024) comic series.
Eighth Brother:
Sorry, you're SoL (I say with love; he's my favorite).
In all seriousness, he has one line of dialogue in Vader (2017), and a cameo in Rise of the Red Blade. If he ends up being your favorite, I can help link some interviews from Robbie Daymond about him, or something.
Ninth Sister (Masana Tide):
Aside from a brief appearance in Jedi: Survivor, most of her story takes place in Vader (2017) and JFO.
She also appears to be among the main cast of Inquisitors (2024).
Tenth Brother (Prosset Dibs):
Mace Windu: Jedi of the Republic: A five-issue comic focusing on a strike team of four Jedi in the beginning the clone war, raises questions of what the republic is coming to, and also gives you some of the Tenth Brotherâs backstory.
Thirteenth Sister (Iskat Akaris):
She doesn't have much outside of Vader (2017) and RotRB, but considering she's the protagonist of the latter, hopefully that's alright for now.
Tualon Yaluna:
See Iskat's entry aboveâthough he's not the protagonist of RotRB, he gets quite a bit of focus.
Marrok:
One of the antagonists of the Ahsoka show, and primarily appears there.
Will probably have a supporting/background role in Barriss' Tales of the Empire shorts.
Bird Mask:
A note on him is that the jury's split about whether he's actually the Sixth Brother based on his role in Ahsoka's final Tales of the Jedi episode, which is strikingly similar to the Ahsoka Novel. I choose to believe he's not.
Will probably have a supporting/background role in Barriss' Tales of the Empire shorts.
Other Canon Inquisitors/Noncanonical Inquisitors/I'm Bald/Other Nuanced Opinion:
Thereâs an Inquisitor in the semi-canon Star Wars Visions season 1 episode T0-B1.
There's also an Inquisitor in the semi-canon Star Wars Visions season 2 episode Bandits of Golak.
Per a guidebook released prior to Obi-Wan Kenobi, There was an inquisitor with the designation Third Brother. At this time, we do not know what he looks like, nor has he been confirmed to have been in a story.
Per a TTRPG campaign, there was a female inquisitor who trained the Nightsister Jerserra, who killed her and stole the unidentified inquisitor's lightsaber. We do not have confirmation on who this is.
Maul carries an inquisitor's saber from at least the time of Solo to Star Wars: Rebels. This may or may not belong to an existing canon inquisitor or an as-of-yet-unknown character (it was modeled off of the Grand Inquisitor's, but we can assume this was due to budget concerns).
There's a variety of mobile games, sourcebooks, and other sources that provide a series of blurbs on the canon inquisitors that I haven't kept close track of. While these provide some information, most of it goes over existing information (possibly sourced directly from the Star Wars databank entries or Wookieepedia pages) and rarely do we get any new information from these (and more rarely still does canon actually stick to the information we get from them). These are fun, and can be delved into if you want more detail, but my personal MO is to stick to canon works first.
The slight exception to me is the Lightsaber coffeetable book, which I find has gorgeous (original!) art, and has some blurbs about the inquisitors' fighting styles.

â° Character Info Sheet
name: Richard "Rick" D. (Daniel?) Grimes
name meaning: "Fierce brave ruler" Richard: Means "brave ruler", derived from the Old German elements rih "ruler, king" and hart "hard, firm, brave, hardy". Grimes: Originates from the Norse-Viking pre 7th Century personal name of âGrimrâ which is both an Old Danish and Old Swedish name as well, appearing in both of these ancient languages as âGrim.â In England, this surname of Grimes was popular due to the influence of Scandinavian settlements. Grimes is a surname that is believed to be of a Scandinavian, English, or Irish descent, that means Masked Person, Fierce.
alias/es: Sheriff, Officer Friendly, Helicopter Boy, Ringleader, Fearless Leader, Consignee Grimes, Mother Goose
ethnicity: North America, United States (British, Irish or Scandinavian descent probably).
one picture you like best of your character: (I'm a rebel, I will put 2).
three h/cs you've never told anyone:
He's actually quite clumsy, specially if he's not paying attention or overload with worry or emotion.
He likes and writes poetry, loves to draw, loves reading novels, but he seems to only do those things in private when he's alone, he's very reserved. He also can play the guitar but that's a secret to most people.
Still has schizophrenia symptoms once in a while (when he's not okay), but doesn't tell anyone.
three things your character likes doing in their free time:
Building or repairing things or organizing things, he will do out of pleasure when he has energy.
Reading
Playing with his kids
eight people your character likes / loves: In canon, everyone he considered his family. (Lori, Shane, Judith, Glenn, Maggie, Beth, Daryl, Carol, Hershel, Jessie, Michonne...) Verse dependent: my Rp partners muses / OCs for sure.
two things your character regrets:
Not listening to his son Carl back at the gas station about recruiting Siddiq and being less moved by hatred and more by compassion (which lead to Carl going back to recruit Siddiq, where Carl got bitten, resulting in his death).
Not solving the emotional conflict with Lori before she died. Rick thought he would have more time to make amends and approach his wife Lori again (she was sleeping with his best friend and got pregnant). He never stopped loving her, despite their arguments, despite being so emotionally distant for a while.
two phobias your character has:
1- Potentially developed a fear of confined spaces (claustrophobia) with large crowds (enochlophobia), due to the tight and dangerous situations he often encountered (Prison reckon, being kidnapped by Jadis, being stuck in a tank). Rick doesn't panic- he can stay calm if he's exposed to the phobia, but he would rather not- at the prison, he would rather sleep outside or in more open indoor areas with windows etc. Isolated crowds in the open or isolated confined spaces are less stressful, I think that what gets Rick is when both are combined.
2- He seems to have a fear of heights (needs to be very high height) specially if it's a place he can potentially fall from. When Michonne climbs a very high tree, he keeps asking her so many times if she's okay, and keeps pacing under the tree as if she were doing something very dangerous- to someone who kills zombies every day, Rick seemed to be overreacting a bit. Rick doesn't seem to have any problem climbing things that aren't too high, like fences, or things he can feel safe while climbing (the top of a building, or something he has firm structures to grab). If he had to face high heights, he would though. Rick normally won't let his phobias stop him from acting.

Wanda Sykes is a breath of fucking fresh air on this show and could be this show's saving grace if they let her do it probably. She has so much ENERGY that most of the rest of TBB just LACK, so much life in her and humanity in her, and y'all I hate to say this but it's... not just the writing. Some of it's the writing, for sure, Phee is a character who has more layers revealed in her in this one single episode than anyone in TBB has gotten across the entire show. But Wanda Sykes is also just so FUNNY and so supremely good at acting out Phee and she made this episode as fun as it is, quite honestly.
I also think Phee is a better character than Hondo Ohnaka, she's funnier and more interesting to me than Hondo is, but I'm kind-of bitter over how Hondo got absolutely ruined in the Gathering arc in TCW and then wildly overutilized in Rebels, so maybe it's just that Phee is new and NOT Hondo, but I like her better already.
Please dear whatever might exist out there, DON'T make Phee a love interest for Hunter, Phee deserves better than that. Nobody manifest that!
I also think that, Wanda Sykes's superb acting aside, this kind of plot is probably what TBB always should've been and should continue to BE. It's a really basic treasure hunt with a supremely basic plot, but it's a classic for a reason: it's fun. The riddles are fairly boring with no meaning attached to them, the booby traps are fairly basic, but treasure hunts are FUN if you can write them well. The show isn't trying to develop any of its characters here, it isn't attempting to connect any kind of weird overarching plotlines, it's just... having them go on a treasure hunt.
When TBB tries to SAY something is when it falls apart for me, because its characters are too one dimensional to be CAPABLE of saying anything of any meaning and they're too far removed from the actual world and its storylines to have a more interesting serious plot in this particular time period. Each of the characters has a designated personality trait and they can't seem to develop beyond that ever, so without the ability to develop its characters OR any kind of cohesive plot, the show sort-of just... sits there trying to speak but nothing's coming out. Which just makes it... boring and frustrating. Season 1 was at its best when it quite literally completely sidelined TBB to focus in on Hera and HER storyline and TBB just kind-of popped in for a second without really impacting much of anything. You could have told the story without TBB and it would've gone much the same, but because it was focusing on a pre-established character that's already well-written and nuanced and beloved, they could actually do and say something with her in a way they just CAN'T with their actual main characters.

Dear Author- Star Wars Rarepairs 2023
Hello wonderful author! Thank you so much for writing for me! This is my first year doing the Star Wars Rarepairs Exchange and I'm so excited to see what you have in store⌠I just know it will be lovely!! <3
DNWs: -Explicit sexual content. I'm okay with some things of that nature being tastefully implied, but I don't want descriptions of genitalia or sex acts. -Sequel trilogy content -Modern AU -Major Character Death between the characters involved in the ship (they can certainly threaten to kill each other though XD)
Likes: -enemies to lovers tropes, villain x heroine ships -forced or arranged marriage -Leia whump or angst-- I love seeing that girl vulnerable and in perilous predicaments, but still maintaining her strength of will and fighting back. -political intrigue (lends itself particularly well to tarkin x leia) and drama -power dynamics -captivity -banter
Ships:
Leia Organa/Wilhuff Tarkin I am OBSESSED with these two⌠Ever since I noticed the way he grabs her face during their scene together in A New Hope, something just clicked within my brain. I love their absolute hatred for one another, how they are each so devoted to their opposing causes, and how his desire to subdue her and defeat the Rebellion could manifest into a twisted obsession and desire⌠They have a great tension and chemistry, and some fun silly space banter. Feel free to lean into the darkness and creepiness.
Prompts: -Something exploring their dynamic pre-ANH, where Leia is working as a rebel spy and Tarkin is suspicious and attempting to catch her in the act of treason. A game of cat and mouse ensues. -Leia and Tarkin strike some form of deal in the hopes of each benefitting their side of the war. How might this develop their relationship? I'd love to see Tarkin manipulating Leia, and Leia's efforts to sabotage him. -Bad end to ANH⌠Tarkin lives, or the Rebellion loses, and Leia must deal with her grief and desire for revenge⌠meanwhile the Grand Moff decides he wants something more for the Princess than execution -Missing scene from her captivity and interrogation on the Death Star. Who knows what could have occurred between them behind closed doors?
Leia Organa/Darth Vader These two have the chance for layers and layers of DRAMA and irony. I love the possibility for a sweet twisted "knight and princess" motif, as well as Vader being SUPER protective and possessive of Leia, with her bringing out his more "honorable", "good" side⌠and Leia reminding him both of Padme and of his former self. I love Leia being a complete sass machine to Vader and being one of the very few people who is able to stand up to the Dark Lord⌠Perhaps he finds a strange sort of respect for her through that. Also, they're really just a very aesthetically pleasing couple. The size/height difference and the black armor against the white gown. They're truly a villain and a heroine who are meant to be pitted against each other.
Prompts: -Through some strange set of circumstances, Vader and Leia must put up a temporary truce and are forced to work together begrudgingly -Vader protects Leia from a more dangerous foe, and she comes to gain a strange sense of respect for him. -Vader is haunted by his memories of Padme and uses Leia as a fill-in for her of sortsâŚ
Leia Organa/Wilhuff Tarkin/Darth Vader Something of a twisted love triangle where Vader and Tarkin are fighting for control of the Princess, and she is caught in the middle of them.
Leia Organa/Lord Tion Tion is a character who appears in the second episode of the Star Wars Radio Drama-- an arrogant, pompous Imperial officer and devotee of Tarkin who becomes Leia's suitor. Despite her disdain, she briefly permits his courtship to learn more about the Death Star⌠and everything goes disastrously wrong after he proposes marriage. As an enthusiast for Leia villain ships, I was in love with the MELODRAMA potential caused by this character.
Prompt: -What if the proposal/courtship was allowed to go further, and things turned out differently for them? It would be interesting to see Leia enter into a relationship with an Imperial in order to obtain rebel infoâŚ
Rogue One: Jyn Erso/Orson Krennic I enjoy the potential that the clash of these two strong personalities might bring, and the connection which they hold to one another's past. Where Leia and Tarkin will have a heavy amount of verbal sparring, I imagine Jyn and Krennic would have some physical sparring, too. It's also interesting to delve into his relation to her father.
Prompts: -AU where Galen's family returns with him during the construction of the Death Star, and Jyn grows up in high Imperial society, rebelling against the expectations placed upon her, and eventually catching Krennic's eye. -Alternatively, the Erso parents are made to offer Jyn as a bride to Krennic in order to ensure their safety⌠She's not happy about it, but wants to protect her family. -Something where they survive Scarif and have a chance to build a relationship from there⌠complex and hate-filled, of course.

For Mon/Kleya: The TENSION between these two. Who noticed who first? Who made the first move? How did it happen, when did it happen? Does Luthen know? So many questions
Mon/Bail/Breha: I love these three in a loving, supportive polycule. Maybe they're on Alderaan under the guise of a "Senate gathering" while planning Rebel strategies, or on a ship traveling between star systems.
Mon/Thrawn: Oh, these two. I adore this rarepair because there is so much potential. Maybe Mon meets Thrawn while she's still in the Imperial Senate and something forbidden builds from there?
Mon/PadmĂŠ: Something before the rise of the Empire. Mon and PadmĂŠ are in the same political circles and maybe it develops into more (I'm absolutely fine with Anakin and PadmĂŠ being poly in this case).

⢠pregnancy, childbirth, or kid-fic
⢠incest
⢠scat/watersports or lactation kink
⢠bodily fluids
⢠body shaming
⢠first person POV
⢠graphic depictions of medical procedures or institutionalization (these mentioned as having happened in past tense are okay)
⢠Religious trauma (mentioned in past tense but not the focus of the story is okay)
⢠Motherhood as the main focus (I donât mind if itâs something secondary but it shouldnât be the driving focus of the story)
⢠Age play or de-aging
⢠Mommy/Daddy kink (Mistress is fine)
⢠Smut with overly dominant men

Rants under the read more
obi wan/grievous: Ok so this is a HUGE crackship and some people are not going to agree but like, Obi-Wan is what comes to mind when you think of the jedi and Grievous hates the jedi as a whole because he believes them to the cause of his mutilation and the suffering of his people, but the jedi are not the ones who did this. Grievous is a pawn in the game of the sith and he doesn't realize that his mind has been altered against his wishes or that he will be desposed of as soon as the war ends. Obi-Wan is a compassionate man and is able to consistently go toe to toe with Grievous, making him a rival Grievous can't help but respect in a weird way (his people are warriors, for all we know, fighting could be a method of flirting to his people yaknow? And obiwan genuienly flirts as a way to throw off his enemies, think of the comedic potential if Obi-Wan didnt realize how MUCH hes been a flirt or if Grevious acctualy gets flustered by it because obiwan is such a competent fighter and IF ONLY HE WASNT THE ENEMY-) If Obi-Wan knew what happened he would have tried to make amends and help his people, and if Grievous learned that it was Dooku (a former jedi turned sith) who turned him into a monster against his will, he'd probably be willing to team up with Obi-Wan to bring down Dooku and the Sith plans for Galactic domination to avenge and to protect his people, and they would be an absolute powerhouse since they are already familiar with eachothers way of fighting and from a writers point of view its filled with so much potential angst and drama, and hijinks, and even enhances the plot and creates parallels between the two that the franchise has never bothered to make and it has so much potential even if they don't fall in love they could be really good friends/partners/allies and if order 66 goes as planned they would be badass rebels its such an overlooked possible dynamic PLEASE đĽş
Sephitoph:
I made this one up as a joke but now i'm invested. ummm i'm just gonna c-p the rant I made on discord
ME:
they both have bright green eyes....
that's it, that's all i got ...
you probably won't like me for this, but i think it's funnier as a ship
SISTER:
...okay, explain đ
ME:
er, not even funny, like i think they could make a good couple!
or at least an entertaining one
two ways you could take this, depending on whether you go w/ pre-breakdown Sephiroth, or post-breakdown, sadistic alien ghost who just wants to burn the world and torment cloud
for the latter, that's crackier but i'm just saying Toph is down w/ dramatic villainy and destruction
[insert: I AM MELON-LORD *maniacal laughter* gif]
(ok maybe not for real, but it would make a funny crack fic)
but pre-Nibelheim Seph (with the caveat that my understanding of his character is 90% from fanfic) he kinda personality of Zuko, circumstances of Azula
eh,,, ,that's not really on the mark
but anyways I know Zuko/Toph can be a great ship, i've seen it.
i think you'd could write a similar dynamic here
Sephiroth had his whole life laid out for him and he excelled at everything he was expected to do, but it's never been really about what he wants, like he's never really gotten to express himself. Or, like, develop a personality?? He's very isolated.
Toph also grew up very isolated, but she had kinda the opposite, where she utterly discarded the expectations people set for her (dressed up pretty helpless doll) and established her own person, wants, and goals very early on so they've got "coming from similar places but approaching things very differently", would lead to some very interesting interactions i think plus they're both down to work out emotional problems by sparring

Why the Star Wars fanbase sucks
After years in the SW fanbase, I think I have finally figured out why it sucks so much. Also, Rey is not a Mary Sue. Star Wars fans fail to realize three really important things about good ol papa George.
1) He is or at least was a hippie
â I was angry at the time, getting involved in all the causes. The draft was hanging over all of us, and we were bearded, freako pre-hippies.â
https://lareviewofbooks.org/.../politics-behind-original.../
More specifically, heâs the scion of 50âs California hot rod culture, and 60âs San Francisco film school culture, a boomer beatnik. âMy father thought I was going to turn into a beatnik,âhttps://lareviewofbooks.org/.../politics-behind-original.../â
I'm more on the liberal side of things," he says. "I grew up in San Francisco in the '60s, and my positions are sort of shaped by thatâ https://web.archive.org/.../article/0,8599,232440,00.html
2) The man has a mean anti authoritarian streak.âIâve always had a basic dislike of authority figures, a fear and resentment of grown ups.âhttps://lareviewofbooks.org/.../politics-behind-original.../
3) Although George values stuff like maturity, adult responsibility, parental authority, role models, struggle, selflessness, and relatability, a part of him genuinely lovesâŚ.or at the very least is partial to, the mythologized version of teen rebellion.Â
Before SW, he directed American Graffiti, a 60âs teen comedy that celebrates Greasers, pranks, street racing, under age drinking and rock n roll. During that movie, a teenager, played by Ron Howard, tells his teacher to kiss a duck without consequence. In this interview, he praises Ahsoka for being a âtough little teenagerâ, for challenging Anakinâs authority.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEHPxvgsFis&t=226s And you can bet this hippie mentality influenced Star Wars, intentionally or not.
ANH is about a bunch of college hippies sticking it to the manâŚ.in space.Luke unlocks the force by chilling out and going with the flow. How do you think the line a Jedi can feel the force FLOWING through him, sounded to a 70âs American youth audience, man?
So what does any of this have to do with the SW fanbase? Simple, they have adopted an ethos that directly contradicts Georgeâs hippie mentality. They want the series toâŚdevelop its characters into mature young role models for children, to make its heroes earn their victories through hard work and struggle, to teach kids their actions have consequence. Therefore, whenever a hippie element shows up in SW, fans lose it. For example, how does Rey, a cool young Rebel, beat Kylo Ren, a lame square during TFA? Simple, she chills out, and goes with the forceâs flow man, itâs totally in line with ANH from a purely thematic perspective. Rather than pick up on that thematic idea, the fans complained that âRey didnât unlock her powers through hard work or struggle,  which made her victory feelâŚunearned!âGiven the context of Georgeâs hippie perspective, and the subtext of the og trilogy, doesnât the fanbasesâ obsession with struggle, role models, consistent internal logic, continuity and consequences soundâŚ.off?
#hippies#george lucas#rey is not a Mary Sue#that concept is so dumb and directly contradicts the spirit of SW

Imagine Quentin Quire hadn't created a Riot at Xavier's. How do you think he would fit with the other X-Kids in Academy X?
The Morrison/special class kids are always kind of in a weird place, because they overlap with Academy XâŚditto with Whedons creations. Some fans see them as âpartâ of academyâŚsome donât.
Itâs kind of like Gen Hope/WatXM/Strain Gen X/onwardâŚ. I personally REFUSE to lump them in with Academy (âŚbecause Academy was just better creations honestly) and I really resent when writers do itâŚ.
Itâs HARD, because the generations are all so close to each other time wise. Where there was space between NM and Gen X and we got to see those characters all properly developedâŚnow writers are all racing to make âthe next big character/generationâ instead of just using whatâs there.
Actually itâs kind of a funny question, because while talking about Ultimate X-Men and NomiâŚ. I really got to thinking about how certain writers just did a better job at creating new teen characters than others- Woods designs just felt like realistic powers and characters in ultimates 2012âŚwhile Aaronâs just felt silly and obnoxiousâŚbut Aaron still utilized Morrison nostalgia and the idea of the âspecial classâ, causing certain fans to really love it.
Morrisonâs group is weird because it doesnât quite âfitâ with Academy x but is still REALLY tied to it- you see Angel and Beak going through a teen pregnancy story arc, thereâs lots of sex jokes, and everything just feels more matureâŚ.but New Mutants vol 2 takes place around âRiot at Xaviersâ and itâs why none of the kids are originally in costumesâŚwhile D+W moved away from the Morrison era laterâŚhis creations still regularly popped up in AcademyâŚ
DeFilippis and Weir DID use Quire in their M-Day universe storyâŚI imagine he would have more or less been like that, since that seemed like his âPre-Rebelâ stageâŚ.
I think Hellion would have been another âSlickâ; someone QQ felt jealous of, especially if Sophie Cuckoo had shown interest in him or Julian had taken âFive-in-Oneâ to the danceâŚ
He probably would have been academically competitive with Prodigy. I donât see them being friends.
I could maybe see Surge getting along with Pre-Riot QQâŚit depends on whether QQ was bullying other kids or notâŚ
I think QQ would more or less have had the role he more or less had in Morrisonâs pre-âRiot at Xaviersâ.

munday meme // accepting // anonymous asked . . . What about your muse are you most proud of?
I'm just REALLY proud of my canon-divergence-y! Especially when it comes to Devil. It's funny how much I loathe the Tek6 story, but I really love my take on it. At least, with Devil! I feel it just really fleshes out Devil, hence why it's a verse I tend to use more than the other (talking about ones that AREN'T main verse / TK8 lol!) Just because it feels like it really fleshes out Devil's character. Pre-TK6, Devil was just kinda an unhinged monster. But in TK6, he has to face a lot of obstacles that really challenges his character, he's also put into a lot of new situations he's unused to. Such as, he has to deal with being the one who's always in control opposed to Jin, he has to deal with Jin no longer being there and having a quiet "mindscape," the tables have turned and he found out HE'S the tool all along, and he has to deal with that, and then the stress of the war being harder than he initially believed, as well as Jin eventually slowly "resurfacing" and AGAIN, the tables are turned because now Devil has to handle Jin being the one to haunt him in his dreams.
Like he's no longer just an unhinged monster, but a monster that's facing problems. Not only that, but he's a monster that's gaining more and more sentience, but is also confused by his existence. Devil may act like he knows what he wants, but he doesn't really. He wants to wipe out humanity, but why? Because he hates them. But why does he hate them? Because they're weak, they're bad? Why does he think that? Like with his developing sentience, as well as Azazel's planting all these "instincts" in Devil (to be violent, to be hateful, etc) it just creates a very confusing, and MESSY existence for Devil, and it's really interesting to play that out in threads.
I think my Devil also just fits in the themes with the story, too. Lars has amnesia, Alisa is unaware of her true purpose, and Devil trying to find out what he is or what he wants (or what he believes he wants). It's all about everyone trying to find themselves, figure themselves out, y'know? Then the Bloodline Rebellion fits too, because Devil actively rebels against his creator (without his creator realizing that, though) and rebels against his purpose. (Whilst still technically carrying it out, he still plans on betraying Azazel, and becoming the God)
Now regarding Jin... I can't say there's anything as specific that I'm proud about regarding my portrayal of him? But I still say I am just proud of being able to humanize him more than the games, being able to undo the damages that TK6 (and other games during that era) did to him. Yes, whilst it doesn't affect ACTUAL canon, or the majority of the fandom, it's still so nice to get to write him how I think he should've been written, y'know? And I think for the most part, I do a decent job at that!

For the ask meme: 9, 16, 20, 22, and 30 :) <3
9. Favourite OC? Damaakos, he has nothing to do with my Neverland stuff, but is a very important NPC from my D&D homebrew setting. He is an escaped slave who joined the military so he could get properly trained in combat. When he was trained he ditched service, went back home and started up a rebel group to free the remaining slaves. He's a badass but also a complete sweetheart. 16. What was you first major project? How far along is it? Major is hard to define, but I guess that too would be my D&D homebrew since it has like a world history, a constantly changing state depending on player choices, military regimes, even some basic constructed language development. So it was a lot of work to do. And story wise, it's been finished for a few years, art wise there's a lot left to go. 20. What story are you the proudest of? Why? Actually, Probably 'Never'...even if I haven't updated in an absolute age because of my wrist. It was born from a fic I wrote when I was a LOT younger, but the general idea stayed with me until I was in uni and my dissertation was to write a few episodes of TV show screenplay and also produce a TV bible and all of the complementary material. I decided to revamp it for a different audience and fell in love with the story all over again. Unfortunately shit happened and it didn't go anywhere, and I almost dropped it for good, but I had also grown so attached that I still wanted to share the story so I started rewriting in a more typical fic format and it just sort of keeps growing. 22. What are all the âkindsâ of writing/art you do? (short stories, poetry, screenplays, digital, painting, clay, etc.) Pre wrist bullshit I did a lot of drawing, screenplay writing, character design. I also do historical costuming (1660-1790 are my comfort years) It's all slowed a lot down this past year though! 30.How are you doing? <3 Ah! Could be worse...I mean I did find out that my wrist 'injury' is actually a stress fracture I've been walking around with for the past 13 months and I am absolutely ignoring medical advice because they don't make wrist supports short enough for my arms. I have also been *increasingly normal* about the sad pirate husband ever since the trailer release... like I am so incredibly normal that I definitely have not got weepy over the man one bit and have definitely not pushed most of my costuming plans aside to make a Captain Hook themed 1690's mantua >_> because I am of course very normal about him, and adore him the most normal amount.

Maybe it IS unfair to use Ahsoka as an example since that show relies heavily on assuming you have seen Rebels already but I feel that way about every Star Wars D+ show besides Andor (releasing the first three episodes at once and then having each episode be like an hour AND having it run for 12 episodes really, really helped!!)
And mcu D+ shows, I would say the exceptions are maybe WandaVision and She Hulk because they arenât afraid to get weird with it (to some extent Loki was also a little weird with it but it didnât go far enough) Although I will concede the d+ mcu shows have made an effort to give pre-established characters backstories and development and let the actors really show their dramatic chops, which I appreciate. And of course I fucking love Jen and Kamala.
But anyway you have to watch the d+ shows to avoid spoilers but also you wait a week to watch like 32 minutes where you get MAYBE one convo between characters and then one 5-minute action scene and they all end on cliff hangers and itâs like ugh nothing HAPPENED and I still donât understand these characters enough to even like them?? You know??
Listen man Iâd rather get like 8-10 episodes that are 50 minutes each, dropped all at once, then go get 30 minute episodes where almost nothing happens once a week, and you get 6. Netflixâs model isnât perfect but Iâm feeling more connected and invested in one piece than I do Ahsoka.
Like stranger things and Bridgerton and Witcher (and for that matter stuff like American vandal) are more compelling and interesting to me because Iâm not being spoonfed filler for 6 weeks. And frankly, Iâm glad that ofmd is going to be showing two episodes a week.

Im reading the tokyo ghoul and tokyo ghoul:re manga rn and i feel like I've been slap in the face for the different between the anime and manga is. Juuzou is my favorite character and u write him so freaking well đ¤§. Since ur ask rn now is open can I request the differences of white and black hair Juuzou act if he has a crush. Especially if his crush is like a popular ccg scientist?
âWith you.â
Thank you! I love writing for Juuzou, I hope you enjoy! His development was huge, I can definitely agree.
Pre-RE
His idea of a âcrushâ would, at this point, probably be someone he just enjoys spending time with for multitude of reasons, whether that be shared interests or sense of trust created by personality.
He would genuinely be curious in your work, satisfied by sitting by and watching you work with unknown to him fluids and objects - whilst many people would find it gross, this is one of the only things that keeps him quiet and concentrated from destruction. Shinohara trusts you to keep him interested.
Youâd have to be patient with him, since he just might âborrowâ or prod and poke at things you need to use, or things that should not be touched with bare hands. A calm and patient explanation will surprisingly be enough - he wonât rebel against you, seeing you as a friend.
He would love you in his own way, and it would be more genuine than anybody elseâs, however itâs far from romantic. Juuzouâs current idea of love is stealing donuts from the main office and sharing them with you, talking to you about giraffes or sitting in the corner of your office, observing your work.
Physical touch would be pretty much off the table, except light things like pat on the shoulders or head. He would initiate contact such as poking you to get reactions, however, and finds it rather amusing. Did you see your face just then? You shouldâve!
He might lose patience with others scientists working under you, Juuzou knows youâre good at your job but is everyone else incompetent? Why do they always disturb you when you work?
Would really like it if you tried to involve him in your work, and would happily cooperate with you! Juuzou would enjoy feeling useful and like he can do something right, your praise means the world to him even if he doesnât fully understand why.
RE
Now that he has a handle on his emotions he can grip, he will happily label it as a crush and will openly express it if asked. After all, why hide the obvious?
Whenever he admits his feelings to you or not depends on your situation, if youâre already dating someone he wonât fall apart about it, and will wish you well, satisfied to be around you even as just a friend. If youâre free and opportunity arises he will take a jab at it.
Will be more open to physical contact towards you, knowing you for a long time. Juuzou will accept hugs, side hugs and any combination of handshakes you come up with. He feels comfortable with you.
Still admires and is inherently interested in your job, after all youâre very important and your works are incredible. However, heâs more understanding towards your underlings and encourages people to look up to you.
Still steals donuts from the main office for you - that will never change.
Even if youâre both busy he will make time for you. Juuzou still enjoys going to the zoo or just going for walks around the city at night, to watch street lamps. Who knows, he might even grab your hand and give your his well-known free-spirited smile.

Okaaay. MFS Season 3 Episode 9, letâs go. Play by play, yeah?
Warning: Major rambling ahead. I warned you.
So as Iâve predicted⌠there was trial, Wade returns and exposes Silver, and temporary happy ever after happens.
Iâll start off by saying that Raelle was the perfect person to deliver that speech. She relates to both sides perfectly and that speech? So empowering. Iâd go to war for her if she asks, lol.
Also. Go Wade! That was surely a badass entrance, exactly how I envisioned it.
âŚ
And then weâre back at Fort Salem.
Cute Raylla as expected.
Theyâre perfect, your honour. I want the braids back, please!!
âŚ
Itâs all goodâŚ
And⌠Gregorio appears.
And I swear⌠I have nothing against the actor (heâs cute and all, his character is average at best) BUT Tally seems to have chemistry with everyone, except him. Some people even shipped Gloria and Tally, for crying out loud. But Gregorio? Thereâs just no spark there.
I understand that they had no time for a fully fleshed out story, but they could have left it out, tbh. It wonât change the story. I mean, Gregorio was in prisonânot off to the sides fighting or doing espionage work that added to the storyline. Nothing. Nada.
Again, Iâm ranting too much here, but this is just so unfair for Tally.
First off, Abigail, the playgirl who only cared about rising to glory and living up to her family legacyânow a true leader, a soldier who now understands the responsibility of wearing a uniform. In romance, sheâs a one-man girl, fully committed.
Then, we have Raelle, Cession girl who was a rebel and hated the army and what it stood forânow, she had a full change of heart. She does what she does now, because itâs whatâs right, and not because of spite. From a lone wolf who tries not to show her feelings, now sheâs found her unit and found love and romance in Scylla⌠Raelle found purpose to keep living and fighting.
Then to add, Scylla our necro baby⌠former Spree agentânow working alongside her former âenemyâ. She saw the bigger picture and saw error in her previously misguided ways. Another lone wolf who now found family and friends. Again, she found Raelle, the home sheâd been longing for.
And then we have Tally⌠Now, donât get me wrong. She is definitely the most developed character. From a naive girl, she blossomed to a woman who stands her ground for whatâs right. She literally saw the world for what it is and still fights for it.
She was from a matrifocal compound, a virginâand now, itâs like she swapped personalities with young Abigail. I donât shame her for it (get it Tally), but itâs just hard for me to see Tally just suddenly sucking faces with someone that I havenât seen her interact with and actually build a relationship with. Itâs just so out of the blue. They didnât even have a scene where theyâre conversing and talking about something deeper. Itâs all physical, no emotion. I hate that for Tally. She deserves more than that. This is like discrete character assassination.
âŚ
Anyway, moving onâŚ
My happy pills, Raylla⌠at the lighthouse. Theyâre so happy. They deserve this and so much more, my babies!!
âŚ
The pre-wedding scene with Raylla and Nicte is also adorable. Nicte is still a hardass trying to act like she doesnât care, but she does. She cares for the unit like theyâre her own. MamaNicte?
And the lobster comment. Hilarious.
âŚ
Edwin and Raelle reunion, yes! I wished it was more emotional though. They havenât seen each other, câmon. I expected more.
âŚ
But then⌠Anacostia and Alder. Omigod, now this made me cry. When Alder âdiedâ the first time, it was Anacostiaâs cries of grief that killed me⌠and now, their reunion scene is just, wow. That hug was everything.
âŚ
Then, that Adil and Gregorio scene⌠they have more chemistry than Tally and Gregorio does. My brotp, for sure, lol.
Also that Khalida and Adil reunionâŚso cute. I wonder what Khalida told Adil. Hmmm.
âŚ
And the unit huddleâwith Scylla! I am such a simp for these moments.
âŚ
Abigail and that scene with her grandmother is adorable, too. She deserves this.
âŚ
ThenâŚof course, Alder and Tally scene. Alderâs words are so ominous. Celebrate loved ones while they can? All might change soon?? Why so grim on a wedding day??
âŚ
Anyway,, the wedding!
What can I say.. it definitely shows that theyâre rushing. I hoped we couldâve heard the vows or even the I doâs, but the whole thingâs like a music video, lol. It kinda took away a bit of the emotion that I expected to feel. Itâs still cute though.
âŚ
Then Nicte⌠I canât believe Iâm seeing her look so rattled. Wade is a great negotiator, no-nonsense woman.
âŚ
Edwin and Raelle momentâalways sweet. They deserve the world after the rollercoaster of emotions theyâve been through regarding Willa.
Then, Abigail and Jem Bellweather⌠thereâs definitely something to unfold there.
âŚ
Then of course, after happiness comes bitterness. Silver got out, surprise surprise. And Hearst is still a freakinâ psycho.
âŚ
Btw, necro teacher is a badass! She doesnât get much credit and appreciation but I see you, Izadora. You fought well. The only consolation now is that youâll finally be with the Mother.
âŚ
And Iâm worried for Penelope. I hope sheâd learn that it was Hearst who poisoned her and then sheâd go apeshit on him. Hang on.. if heâs like a âwitchâ because of the stolen vocal cords, does that mean he can be affected by the witch plague?? I hope itâs his own creation that ends up killing him. Thatâll be so satisfying.
âŚ
Meanwhile, our beloved unit are enjoying a campfire. And yes, mamaCostia⌠I definitely didnât predict âthisâ.
And Raelle singing to Scylla (and everyone)⌠gosh, you can see Raelle/Taylorâs nerves as Scylla/Amalia stared at her singing⌠and when Scylla looks, she really gazes at Raelle⌠her feelings are palpable.
âŚ
Itâs all so happy⌠then itâs gone again, as predicted.
âŚ
But Raelle! Why does she suddenly look possessed and why is she bleeding?? Did Hearst do something to the Mother? And whoâs back??
âŚ
I swear, if something happens to any of them, I will have more and more words for you, Eliot.
Gosh, Iâm so anxious for what happens next. Thereâs still so many to wrap up.
This episode already felt so rushed, I hope the last episode is at least not as much. I feel like they couldâve made better cuts to showcase the story, add some more to other scenes and leave out other thatâs unnecessary *ahem*Gregorio*ahem*.
But I still have faith in this show. I hope this season ends with a bang.
And I think thatâs all Iâve got. Haha.
