Okay so it seems like the islands are connected to different schools of wizardry so it makes sense that Ks spell went so wrong even apart from the medical inexperience seeing as evocation is more of a ‘melee’ school of magic….It makes so much sense that philtrum and the old guard of wizardry have decided to post up there, purposefully choosing to live under the illusion that their world hasn’t changed and things can stay the same. Illusion also might just be the island K excels in seeing as their image and how they appear to the world is such an important part of themselves…

I think the sad thing is that Viren didn't have to coin Kpp'Ar, y'know? Yes, the old man had threatened him, but there was no way Kpp'Ar was going to reach King Atticus that night to tell him of Viren's choice/betrayal, let alone before Viren could save Soren.

Viren could've hurried home, uncorrupted, probably gotten the tears from Lissa consensually because she wouldn't have been scared of him, and then saved Soren.

There would've been consequences. Maybe banishment from court or Katolis (at best), or arrest / imprisonment (at worst). But the rest of his family would've been Okay.

But Kpp'Ar had said "You will lose everything" (your position, your status, etc) and Viren couldn't have that, so he coined his mentor and set off a domino affect... until he really had Lost Literally Everything, and it was too late.

A group of friends who, two years ago, journeyed the Unova region together; however, an undisclosed incident at the Pokemon League has changed their lives forever. In the absence of their Hero of Truth, they have decided to seek their own paths.

Hilbert Blackburn - An earnest youth from Nuvema Town, and Unova's Hero of Truth. His current whereabouts are unknown, as he's fled the region with Reshiram. Not many people, besides his secretive friends, seem to know the real him- outside of the fact he was very honest about his feelings.

Cheren Slater - Aspertia City's new gym leader, and the trainer school's teacher. He holds the truth to Hilbert's disappearance and what happened at the league that day, but refuses to share. The traveling companion and mentor of the Aspertia Trio.

Bianca Alabaster - Assistant to Professor Juniper and Fennel, and a protege of Lenora and Shauntal. She has a lot on her plate, particularly with investigating the legends of the dragons and exploration of the dreamworld. She has a keen eye for seeing the truth beneath the surface.

Hilda Weiss - A battle prodigy of Nimbasa City and the Battle Subway's most beloved regular, who had started her journey four years prior to the other three; as a result, she's the most experienced, and is considered an Ace Trainer. Somewhat cynical and grounded, but holds all her friends close to her heart.

@istgd-2 aaay nice choice 😎👍 the first four volumes were pretty faithfully adapted in the first series of the anime (chapter 5 is the only one that was majorly scrapped due to time), so if money’s a concern, you can skip them and won’t miss too much.

Chapter 38 in volume five is where the first series leaves off, so if you start collecting from that point you’ll already have one of the major chapters of focus for Isabella (chapter 37, shown in episode 12 of the anime), but with the addition of the inner monologues providing further insight into her character. This is one of the major points of contention with the anime adaption, and why I think buying the first four volumes are worth it, not only for her, but also the five oldest children at Grace Field. We’re also shown more visuals from Ray’s past (such as in chapter 28 of his time at headquarters).

I will also advocate for reading the first story of the second light novel, Moms' Song of Remembrance (published January 2019, has no official English translation). In "The Starry Night and Leslie's List," Isabella remembers helping Leslie with a list of goals he set out to accomplish before leaving Grace Field two days before he’s shipped out. It’s book-ended by segments set on January 15, 2046, where Isabella briefly chats with Phil, reflects on her relationship with Ray, and finds new purpose now that her children have proven she was wrong about escape being impossible. Invaluable for anyone looking for more official Isabella-related content. I've posted some excerpts of it here, here, here, here, and here (spoilers for the entire series).

usually the issue i come across with wlw ships is that im interested in the other elements of a show but the sapphic relationship itself falls flat— it doesn’t mean it’s not good and cute but for some reason it just fails to pique my interest and i feel bad for not being diverse enough in my enjoyment of romance, especially when the romance in question is what my relationships are going to look like!!

with arcane though, specifically caitvi, it’s the opposite. i loooooove caitvi they complement eachother so well and are genuinely so interesting to just watch. they’ve got good chemistry and the build up is natural and well-paced too !! it’s a really believable ship!!! the only issue is i cannot get invested in arcane the plot, besides jinx, caitlyn, and vi bores me :((((( it’s a grand visual display and just feels like an awesome to simply watch but my attention span is short and drifts when im unbemused
