Praetors set of five

everyone wants roman prequels because they want to see jason being badass and have further canon to retroactively prove he was always intended to die. i want roman prequels because i want to see two of the most emotionally fragile and distant teens living it up in new rome.

i want to see why reyna could only cry in private over the death of her best friend. i want to see juno and jason’s relationship and how he navigated being her champion.

I relate so hard to Urabrask because:

(1). He's breaking away from a toxic, oppressive religious system because he truly applies the principles that his faith taught him.

(2). He tenaciously fights for weirdos, underdogs, and other people who don't have a place in the world.

(3). He's a solitary creature who wants to be left alone to create.

...Thinking about it, since their storyline's kinda over, it's a real shame nobody made a fun fan villain song for the New Phyrexian Praetors in the vein of something like this:

Y'know, I would love to see some multicolored phyrexians wake up and have ambitions of becoming praetors. Whether they succeed or not is inconsequential. All this mindless, blind following for the 'glory of Phyrexia' needs to be broken down a little bit. Where's the personal machinations of the evincars of old phyrexia? Does it really need to be relegated to the five monocolor praetors?

my cursed trait is that if i have like a supernatural element au that i am dedicating an embarrassing amount of brainpower to imagining a bloopers / fancam of scenes from it.

currently hung up over jb au and the tw au but i'm specifically referring to the tw au with dua lipa and megan thee stallion's

montage of jason beating the shit out of dubiously supernatural people with a tennis racket / lacrosse stick.

jason sleeping face down in a book at his desk while reyna's curled up like a baby in his bed (complete with a cute sleep mask) because jason stayed up all night researching werewolves for her.

long distance shot of thalia practicing her archery but she keeps missing the target and swearing in new and inventive ways.

piper and leo in the middle of an argument sitting in chairs facing away from each other while they hold hands because they love each other and they don't actually want to be apart even if they're both mad as hell.

Not quite a question...more of a statement, but I don't think Jin-Gitaxias is appreciated enough. Most of Phyrexia's achievements are thanks to him. Scientific advancements, compleation of planeswalkers...some of Phyrexia's strongest allies came thanks to Jin's work. Also, according to the writings on Elesh Norn's card (Grand Cenobite), she learned about other worlds and got the idea of spreading Phyrexia's glory to them from the 'whispers' of the Gitaxians. Evidently, it is Jin-Gitaxias who should be leading Phyrexia's forces.

(His grin is so wide it's splitting his very pointy face open.) Of course, of course. I would almost state that you flatter me, had you not simply been reciting a factual, objective account of my accomplishments, which owing to their magnitude naturally sound like exaggeration. Every step on Phyrexia's path to ascension was laid by my Great Synthesis, refined by the methods of science--not zealous, blind Orthodoxy.

To "collaborate" with Norn is at times nearly demeaning, to tolerate the company of one so telepathically inept, short-sighted, and bloated with ego. Thankfully, I am above such hindrances. I will allow her to play out her pretense until it no longer serves its use.
