Object Show dooble dump (I was possessed by my past object show phases when Animation Epic dropped the season 2 ep 15 trailer).

I found Object Redundancy when I was. Like. 10. It permanently changed my brain chemistry (results unknown). It was nasty, yet funny with just how absurd it was. World record for the sheer number of stereotypes in 0.2 seconds.

I found Paper Puppets for the first time 2 days ago and it has consumed me. Hh.

(Cup obs[she's transfem to me, btw] and popcorn are wives and they have 3 weird adopted kids, chainsaw [oldest], saw [middle], and happy star [youngest]. Chainsaw and saw r biology related but with happy star they just kinda picked him up)

spitting tetra crew origins on the floor its headcanon moments these all go off tee saying ex brought them all there (ppt2) since i joined right when that game was released hgl;hkfg; Ex: Split off from his parents starsurfer crew at 14, earlier than he was supposed to, because he felt a bit stifled there (They were pretty strict about his magic and the use thereof, and it wasn't helping much with adjusting to it). Yoinked the ship set aside for him and bailed to see the galaxies. Ess: born and raised on the Tetra by her father. Ai: From a planet in the Lupis star system. Runt of his litter, abandoned on a dustball planet. Discovered by Ex shortly thereafter. Tee: Originally from the Ophiuchus star system, Snuck onto the tetra while fleeing people trying to capture him (Will i talk more abt this late? perhap) Casually dropped that he was being chased, and ex did not want him heading back out into that so offered him a home on the ship. Jay and Elle: From a planet in the gemini star system. Twins born on their planet are often born with linked powers, but the people in their particular village feared those powers and tended to separate twins at a certain age. Jay, who was just old enough to walk well, was not having this and managed to run off to find his sister. Ex happened upon him and elected to help him. Upon finding Elle, he ended up just taking them with him when he saw how the village's people treated them. O: Ex actually met O when he (ex) was a teenager! just a funky lil creature from a planet in the Libra star system. O literally just followed him back to the ship after being befriended and he decided to keep him. partner c: Zed: was being built after the addition of jay and elle, seeing as 5 was a little much for ex to handle alone. Good thing too, because...yknow imminent disappearance.

As someone also very canon compliant, I wanna ask for some advice. Regarding the recent PPT2 Chapter 7 talks, my only real pet peeve is trying to rationalize the extended cast's inaction and silence for headcanons and such. Like it is legit upsetting picturing say, the Primp crew just stand there and not even give moral support, while Amitie fights Squares on her own. I just want a way to interpret those kinda moments in a way that aren't unflattering for anyone involved.

Okay, so I waited a while to respond to this, because honestly, I don't think I am someone who can assuage your fears here in any point, because that is just not a perspective I had on the story at all, and even after rewatching some cutscenes, I still don't. It never feels to me like anybody is ignored, let alone "silent" the entire time.

That is because I always understood the framework in which the story is presented: The A girls and Ringo are the focus characters. We see what they see. Everything they don't see is out of frame, but that doesn't mean it's not happening. Especially because the Manzai format means there can't be more than 2 (maybe 4, with some squeezing) characters on screen at any point. But everybody is here. Everybody is doing stuff. Heck, the chase scene VS Marle made a POINT of having everyone work together to cut off her part and cheer each other on. I have no idea where you got "Amitie fights Squares on her own" from. That's literally just not what happened in that scene. Her entire class was there, helping her. Just because gameplay can't 100% reflect that, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. You need to keep the limitations of the game in mind. This is kinda like claiming Deltarune doesn't treat Lancer as a member of the heroes group, just because he never actively joins your side in a battle. We have have the side-chapters, where characters who aren't the focus speak to each other and share their thoughts.

I think you honestly need to keep in mind what the devs are working with, framework-wise and budget-wise. You can't expect this to be Kingdom Hearts where every story beat is reflected in a sudden gameplay change. Storytelling works within the limitations of its framework. Never ascribe to the writing that which can easily be explained by the gameplay budget.

i often forget that the vast majority of object show characters [ ppt2 hfjone and ii characters specifically ] are literally cishet in canon and all the headcanons i see from my mutuals every day are literally. not canon.

I’m not sure, probably not, but please don’t be discouraged by that with headcanons. If people wanna headcanon characters with neopronouns, I think that’s great and should keep doing it!!

i think he absolutely needs his hands in order to control his flow of magic, otherwise he'd only really be able to use it on himself to float and nothing else. hell, he needs his hands to TELEPORT. i also think his blood glows and is tinted slightly purplish

I have no clue what to title this but I’m just ranting about Squares! Okay soooo, here we go!

Well, I headcanon Squares as being nine. So if you hc him as being older or ship him with anyone non-platonically, I personally don’t agree, I’m not gonna attack you for it, but- I’d rather you to not interact with me? I just, don’t like the idea of him being any older than 9, especially since everyone in the game was like, “This guys a baby?! A toddler?!” I personally call any character who is younger than a teen a baby, so you’ll also need to remember that.

I know you guys’ll probably not like that, especially since it seems a little weird. But I honestly would rather you not interact if you view him older than 9, or ship him with anyone. So, yeah, please respect that wish, okay? I’ll mention his sister Marle, me and my brother hc her as being 21.

And also, Squares wouldn’t hurt anyone willingly. He didn’t even hurt the main cast, but a lot of people make him out to be violent. Sure he said he was gonna erase them, but, that didn’t happen. And likely the only reason he said that was because the heroes where, to him, parasites. Squares thought he needed to erase them in order to fix anything. So that’s what he tried to do.

Yeah sure, you could argue that he hurt Marle when he brainwashed her. But, he loves Marle, she’s his sister, he’d never intentionally hurt her at all. He probably didn’t know that she’d be hurt in any way from brainwashing her! And, the whole forgetting everything thing that happened probably also wasn’t intentional, and even if it was, he only would’ve done it to keep her from turning against him. (I personally believe that the forgetting everything thing that happened to Marle was the writers trying to make players feel pity for her.)

And, you could argue that he’s manipulative, he’s not! The only way he made Marle gather power for him was brainwashing her, that isn’t manipulation. Once she snapped out of the affects she was back to normal. Squares didn’t manipulate her.

The only thing Squares did was hurt himself physically and mentally! He’s not a bad person, sure he merged the worlds and tried to erase everyone, but, that only happened because Marle didn’t teach him. I know Marle isn’t in the wrong either, but she did cause him outburst towards the heroes by neglecting him. She ignored him, she forgot he was an infant.

He literally almost exploded, if the heroes didn’t help him he would have died! He screamed in pain, he couldn’t move, he probably would have cried if the writers weren’t cowards. I hope the next Puyo Puyo game, if they add Squares into it, they let the boy cry! He very much needs it but they seem to think that boys can’t cry! Can someone rewrite the PPT2’s ending exactly how it is but allow Squares to cry? He’s obviously in so much pain, so much pain he’s immobilized! He deserves to cry! (I am just angry, they even made him sound upset! But they didn’t let him cry! Just let Squares cry Sega! He’s an infant, a child, he should cry! It’s only healthy!)

Squares also isn’t overprotective of Marle, in fact, likely Marle is the overprotective one. Squares only reacted how he did in PPT2’s story because he wanted Marle to smile around him again, and the worlds changed and he was scared. He wanted things back to normal. But, he is in no way, shape, or form overprotective.

Squares also wouldn’t use swear words. I get kinda angry when people make him do that, due to personal hc that he’s 9yrs old. Marle obviously would’ve taught him to never do that, and he’d be legally unable to swear.

Also, I hc him as being aromantic & asexual, he physically cannot feel romantic love for anyone or anything. He has no intent of doing anything related to romance, he’s physically grossed out by it. He also has no way to do inappropriate acts with anyone (he also was never taught by Marle, due to him having no way to do them so he doesn’t even know they exist), due to how Marle made him.
