1. Tumblrs whole rebrand isn’t accurate to the 2010s at all. im taking in scroll on the 2014 grunge tag and 1/30 post are actually accurate 2010s content. Like looks like it belongs on an old blog.

2. why EDs are being popular again. Honestly eating disorders never left obviously but it’s becoming popular to have one in the main media again. Of course there not out right saying ppl should have ed but like I can’t be going crazy here. I have nooo history with eating disorders at all except for that one summer when I didn’t eat much but that was just my appetite I didn’t actually want to starve myself. But these past couple of months I’ve been developing a small one and all these big back jokes DONT help. i might be at school and skip lunch because the school cafeteria makes me uncomfortable/ I don’t like seeing ppl eat or ppl seeing me eat; so when im starving in another class and I have the courage to maybe eat a candy bar and some random person calls me big like what?? also other things like ozempic and coke and honestly even tumblr making a comeback contributes to ppl getting eating disorders and even though I love the fandoms and community’s on here it’s an undeniable fact that the toxic side of tumblr is STILL here. I try my best personally not to show or promote eating disorders because they ARE deadly and horrible but I want to come clean about how I’ve been thinking or seeing things lately.

3.Bullying IS BACK

bullying has gotten so much worse it’s insane. A couple months ago when I first started this blog I was getting bullied and no one believed me except my mom. i couldn’t stand up for my self or tell anyone. and it has effected me a lot; the point of bullying is to change someone because they don’t fit a standard. and omg even online like why are we so mean. the other day i was talking to someone and the thing is I don’t have a lot of friends and the group I do have I don’t talk to about how I feel because I don’t think they would take it serious. And I told them about a time when someone made fun of me for liking a show and they laughed and said they were make fun of me to. and how if they didn’t know me they would bully me for believing in stuff like genuinely being kind to your friends and others.

Hello, Ranboo Tag! Ive come to share my words after being unessacarily passive aggressively bashed on Tiktok.

See, it started with a tiktok saying that genloss doesnt seem that scary after ep1. The opinion matched with mine after watching the first ep, so I wrote the comments something like "yeah, i thought I'd be scarier"

Some people tried to change my opinion by genuinely explaining how the next episodes are supposed to have more "horror", yknow? Other people just went straight to passive aggressively bashing me, with stuff like "what about Ranboo screaming let me die, huh? 🙄", Overall everything in the spirit off:

"what about *insert thing from ep 2 or 3*, idiot? Should've been more patient"

With a lot of aggression or ways to make you feel stupid. Here's the thing, I find it funny yet sad.

Oh noo, I had my own opinion that othwr ppl shared so i agreed!!!! Where are the people's minds at.

I was a bit dissapointed by it, because when i think back to 2021 and Ranboo announcing him working on genloss (yknow, 2020 - 2021 the era where everything was still fun) he said he was inspired by The Walten Files among other things. So thats what i expected: a vhs style analog horror. That wasnt what I got, so it threw me off a little bit, but I nontheless gave the first ep a try. I didnt like it that much, not because of it not being what its supposed to be, it just didnt appeal to me. Which, and idk if those kinda fans knew that, is completely fine!

You are not obliged to watch everything the cc pushes out and to like everything they do or say or release.

I have the attention span of a fetus, I would never be able to sit through ep 2 and 3. And i generally didn't feel like it, bc yknow, I didnt like it. So why would I.

And generally it all boils down to me thinking, wow. 2021 to early 2022 really was better.

Ive been in this fandom since November 2020. Ive been there for almost everything, excitedly watching it all and having fun! I never missed Ranboos or Tubbos stream, bc I was a huge beeduo fan. I made fanart and their videos helped me fall asleep.

And then everything started to dull at around May 2022. The vibe changed and me and probably many others, as I have heard others say the same, started to feel like this isnt enjoyable anymore. Call me and those people hung up on the past, but yknow, sometimes people loose interest, get more casual about things and idk, act like a responsible person distancing themselves from this thick responsibility of "like everything and watch every stream" when everything had dulled down and you dont feel the same you felt back then.

I was only in the fandom with one foot anyway. Occasionally watching Tommy, James Marriot and recently gaining a bit more interest on the QSMP. If i speak on my feelings and thoughts on the dsmp fandom changing, I'm sure even more people would bash me, even though its a genuine opinion and not whatever delusional hatecrime some ppl may think.

I genuinely hope that Generation Loss goes great for Ranboo and that he has fun doing it. And that the people who like it can enjoy and have fun.

But Im not obliged to and I dont wanna hear the bashing. If i read it, i laughing, just to be clear. But i think i got my point across.

jason would totally love rolling damian over while dami’s sharking him . he’d laugh in his face and clip it on his switch , before saving the clip on his phone or smth just in case damian attempts to delete it

see it as a punishment for trying to shark a dynamo as a splatana/octobrush instead of just ,,, outmaneuvering the dynamo . bc both splatana and octobrush have good enough range to easily take down a dynamo (he outmaneuvers a lot too ofc ; he just tests his luck sometimes by sharking around jason , wanting to surprise him lol)

they are a Unit on the same team tho . damian as the faster splatana/octobrush supporting jason’s slower dynamo/stamper (he’d play that too . def didnt start playing it bc it pairs rlly well with [damian’s] splatana ,, no siree ,,,) as they both kill the enemy team with terrifying efficiency . (i’d say they’d be extra good with tim making callouts in comms — bc ofc im still thinking abt tim too istg 😭 — but i also feel like neither of them would listen to him half of the time . and take joy in his misery whenever they lose , ignoring their own misery from losing in favor of making fun of tim and blaming each other for losing [like “if you hadnt died when they started pushing we could have defended successfully , todd !” / “oh MY BAD that i TRADED with their stupid quick-respawning motherfucker and couldnt paint under my feet to get away from their bomb because im a fucking DYNAMO —” (can you tell i definitely main dynamo and have experienced similar situations . that makes sense! i think most of our friends are plural? and have been for a while. i dunno, we find it hard to have friends and label people as friends because our bpd thinks friends means we talk to each other everyday, etc. so yeah. but having plural friends does help a lot, it’s helped us so so so much, it’s how we found out we were plural, through a friend at the time who was a system. funny how things always work in the ways that they do.

i totally get the wondering about if someone ever existed thing. a common theme for us is that we split someone, they get frontstuck with me for like a week or something, and then they disappear for basically ever (other than a few exceptions but even those people come around rarely anymore). and that’s also scary as fuck! it’s terrifying! being alone is terrifying, especially once you get used to someone being around. i tend to get attached to these people too so i grieve for them after they leave. it’s just not a good feeling. i’m sorry you have to know what that questioning of reality feels like, but you’re not alone in it, yeah?

i get that, the explaining part. it’s the hardest thing about any of it aside from figuring it out, which i suppose are directly connected. if i can’t explain it to someone else, how can i explain it to myself? i guess? i get what you mean 100%.

when i said “figure things out” it’s not like how i got to the conclusion, just a kind of “identity” i’ve figured out for myself which feels really weird and uncanny, if that’s even the word for it. basically my nonhuman-ness is in some way simply a heart and a brain connected together. i feel like my being is just heart and brain without much else connected to it, just those raw parts is who i am. the vitals and really nothing much else. this might explain a lot about me or nothing at all, i’m not sure which it is. fun!

hello, checkers. sorry for always coming here to you with my fucked up, horrible kpop stories that happen to me. but today something devastating happened and my first thought was "i NEED to tell checkers about this."

so it all started because me and my friend rebo watched the first episode of boys planet a while ago. we didn't care enough to finish it but since the show is over, we suggested we watch the last episode together.

so we were doing that and in the middle of one particular performance rebo says "that guy looks like lucas!!!"

and i SEE IT. HE LOOKS LIKE LUCAS. THE RESEMBLANCE IS UNCANNY. i pause the video immediately. for like 2 minutes i do nothing but make wailing noises, i was so distraught. then i start to scream at my friend because im very normal and meanwhile she's just laughing her ass off. eventually i calm down and i decide i want to watch the clip one more time, so we go back to look at the guy again. he looks NOTHING like lucas. which is so fucking weird because we BOTH saw it. we replay the clip multiple times trying to find the specific shot again but no matter what he just doesn't fucking look like lucas. looking back we could've been so much more normal about this but something inside us broke. genuinely so much of what happened is a blur to me because for like 30 minutes we just kept screaming at each other "HE WAS THERE!!!! HE WAS THERE!!! WHERE IS HE!!!"

LIKE, the guy was still there but the fact that his face looked so much different was the scary part. he truly did look like lucas initially but now he DIDN'T. I WAS GENUINELY SO FREAKED OUT. IT'S LIKE... IMAGINE YOU HAVE THIS REALLY CLEAR IMAGE OF SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD BUT THEN IT'S JUST GONE, THAT'S WHAT IT FELT. i need you to know this was NOT a joke to us, my friend immediately got up and TURNED ON HER LIGHTS VVNFJNVJFNVF.

eventually we realize we won't calm down on our own, so we start asking for our friends to join call to help us calm down. eventually, our friend lynx joins. we are so distraught and freaked out that he can't understand anything we're saying. eventually i manage to tell him what happened and he just starts making fun of us and calling us insane, but he asks to see the clip.

we show it to him. he suddenly stops making fun of us. "THAT LOOKS LIKE HIM." at this point we are screaming again. we go back to look at the guy again. my friend starts losing it because IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HIM ANYMORE.

rebo starts panicking. she gets up and starts pacing in her room. i'm just kind of freaking out because HOW IS THIS HAPPENING. WHY ARE WE ALL SEEING LUCAS WHERE HE FUCKING ISN'T.

eventually we call another friend to see it. we show it to her and she says the guys does Not look like lucas. she was talking to us like we were children who needed to be explained the concept of mistaking someone for someone else but we are NOT listening.

we decide we need noxia there but she isn't responding to us so i message her brother directly. finally noxia gets there, we show the clip to her and she also think we're going insane. meanwhile we are all losing our minds. WE SAW IT. WE SAW LUCAS. BUT HE'S FUCKING GONE.

after like an HOUR we finally managed to calm down and continue watching the episode. the guy we thought was lucas LITERALLY DEBUTED??? AND LIKE, GOOD FOR HIM. BUT IT'S SO FUCKED UP.

it's the fact THREE of us saw it. and then it just wasn't there. like i'm trying to explain how genuinely scary it felt, i was losing my grip on reality 😭

i'm cry laughing some people on twitter are now saying "izzy bashing" needs to be tagged in fics. how did these people ever survive watching this show where izzy is the CANON ANTAGONIST i'll never know

benefit of the doubt but i think most of them have gotten to this point gradually. when they first watched the show they were not attached to izzy the way they are now. i know for a lot of people it was blorbo at first sight with izzy but i've also seen izzy enjoyers say they didn't like him at first, and then fandom made them care about him.

like i'm pretty sure for a lot of ppl it started off with isolating themselves from ppl who made posts that they didnt like, like ppl who criticized ofmd for being based on two real people with direct connections to actual real-world slave trade (which is an incredibly valid thing to criticize abt ofmd).

another one that i think funneled a lot of fans towards being so delusionally attached to izzy was people pointing out or complaining about the disproportionate amount of fan content for izzy compared to prominent characters of color—which is a consistent issue in fandom no matter what the media, and is also a very easy one for people to be uncomfortable with whenever they see it get pointed out. people venting that "fans care too much abt this white man" often make fans who care abt that white man very defensive right off the bat, and then rather than engage with why they feel defensive or question if maybe their enjoyment of this character is fueled by implicit bias (which it might not be, to be clear! im not saying—and i have never said—that everyone who enjoyes izzy likes him for racist reasons), they stop listening to the conversation abt white favoritism and continue blorboposting as much as they want. it's incredibly easy for fans to brush off this convo as "just starting drama" and avoid the topic altogether because "fandom is for fun!" and they dont want to think abt difficult topics like racism and implicit bias, they just want to enjoy their blorbos in peace.

so they kept narrowing the takes they were seeing until they were in an echo chamber that kept moving more and more towards complete woobification of izzy hands. these people are now looking at the show entirely through izzy's pov, making posts abt how sad it is that none of the other characters are ever nice to him, how frustrating the show is from his perspective, how it feels to be deeply in love with someone who doesn't love you back. they've stared at gifs of con's micro-expressions and read angsty fanfiction and looked at endless izzy fanart and their entire ofmd fandom experience revolves around empathizing with this one character even tho the show itself continually makes him the butt of the joke.

at this point, telling these people to rewatch the show doesn't even matter. they've spent so much time over-analyzing every single one of izzy's scenes to the point where the emotional responses they get from these scenes are not the emotional responses anyone would have watching the show for the first time. they've warped the entire first season to fit their version of the show and are forgetting how often the show itself bashes izzy.

and the icing on the cake is the trolling. there's like, one or two people on here who go around sending anon hate and leaving nasty comments on instagram posts and harassing people on twitter for... like, i would say "for liking izzy" or even "for saying positive things about izzy" but like. i've gotten these messages, and the most sympathetic i've ever been to izzy was the post i made like "maybe he's mean bc he has chronic IBS. i'd actually understand him more if that were the case." so when i get these messages it's easier for me to just laugh them off bc it's so obviously just someone trying to make me upset, but people who do care about izzy (a lot of them being the same people who avoided engaging with the "why does fandom care so much abt white characters" convo) get these absolutely horrible messages about how they deserve to get hate crimed and they should kill themselves. and these fans who didn't want to even see vaguely negative posts abt izzy bc they just want to enjoy fandom in peace are now like "im targeted for just liking a character!"

so that's how we get to people saying that "izzy bashing" needs to be tagged. never mind that their definition of "bashing" almost certainly includes things that are not bashing but are just things that contradict the way they headcannnon him.
