headcanon game: Power Rangers Jungle Fury + In the episode where Lily went badass, what would have happened if Fran had ACTUALLY used her morpher?

Good question! Time to go rewatcb the episode!

~

- Fran isn't trained as a Pui Zhua anything, so the Cheetah spirit? Out of the question. The claw canon? Nixed.

- Fran does have an animal spirit, it's the owl, so she could use that if she knew how

- Fran can use the morpher, knows a little bit of how to fight, but she's not Chosen by the Morphin' Grid, so she doesn't have the Power to boost her punches or add its strength to hers.

- Honestly, Casey protects her more than he fights, making sure the monster's don't target her specifically. He's the Red, he's supposed to protect his team

- "What about Lily?"

"She told me to come if I was so worried so I did!"

"She's not coming!?"

"She's probably still at JKP!"

- Rj gets so pissed he actually shouts at Lily because what kind of Ranger lets a civilian- a CIVILIAN- go out in Ranger uniform and fight when the civilian has no training or any idea what their doing

- That monster gets away because Fran is more important to them than a monster they'll definitely defeat once Lily's back to her normal self

- Casey and Theo are a little cold to Lily for a few days, though it's not her fault, and they all know that

- Lily sells the motorcycle for more than she paid for it and returns the clothes she bought off JKP's card- the money goes to RJ along with most of her paychecks for the next six months (by her own request, she keeps only enough to live off of)

- Fran gets VERY hurt in the battle and spends three days in the hospital with bruises and broken bones. She's not a Ranger and she doesn't have the Power, so the suit can only do so much

- The reason Lily attacked Fran was because Fran took her morpher. Morphers are sacred to the Rangers. This time, Fran ran before Lily could do anything about it

- Rj asks Lily to pick up all of Fran's shifts for the next month. Lily does it for the next three.

- Lily's disgusted with her behavior. She can't trust herself around her friends, around Fran especially, and the animal spirits are hesitant with her. Animal spirits don't give a damn about if you've been poisoned or not, they care about what's in your heart

- Fran continuously tries to talk to Lily, Lily can't look at Fran for weeks without intense guily

Fran Propaganda

Literally carried the team despite not being a Ranger, ran Jungle Karma Pizza almost entirely on her own when the Rangers would go out on missions (way before she even knew they were Rangers), and finds out that they're Rangers COMPLETELY on her own. When RJ's wolf spirit got out of control she helped him (again all on her own, after literally being TACKLED BY A WEREWOLF it she still stares him down and talks to him and insists he won't hurt her, and gets him to snap out of it). When Lily gets hit and poisoned by a quill which causes her to act like a massive bitch, Fran handles it all on her own, takes Lily's morpher and threatens to go fight the MOTW with Casey and Theo herself (also gets fought by Lily which helps her snap out of the poison). Fran is the unsung GOAT of Jungle Fury and I will die on that hill, everyone on that team (especially RJ) is destitute without her

RJ Propaganda

Probably the best mentor of the Disney Era, is able to keep a small business afloat during the economic mess that was the 2008 recession, looks like a hippie who’s stoned 80% of the time but is actually the most qualified person you could expect to take care of and train a bunch of teenagers His weird phrases and training are actually meaningful and he isn’t an idiot in the slightest, is also a skilled inventor (bro literally made a cannon and a fucking tiger motorbike come on now), and is generally the gold standard of what men should aspire to be (Also silly dancer who plays ukelele :3)

As nice and easy and oh so pretty as this would be aesthetically... in practical application through watching Jungle Fury and agonizing over what might have been...no. Q_Q

I mean, R.J. is definitely Purple, that's canon, and maybe as an alternative to his human form, his werewolf form could carry more of the violet, so THAT works.

But the writers, directors, and actors ALL made sure that Fran is Orange Coded AS FUCK. She is the caretaker, she's soft spoken and careful with other people until they need a good kick in the pants, she does EVERYTHING for everyone else (tripling her salary was not enough of a thank you) and she is R.J.'s right hand (Queen) at JKP.

Although, funnily enough, CAMILLE is Green.... which opens that Purple->Orange->Green cycle I think of quite often.

Also these three are my favorites from this season, thank you for THAT. That makes me happy~

Hear me out: they’re orange/purple. If we know ANYTHING AT ALL, it’s that these two colors go SO well together. And the both of them really ARE adorable. Okay, so yes they might have a bit of an age gap— but Fran’s very mature for her age (i hc she’s like 20 and RJ is ~27-30) BUT. Crisis management mom and calamity dad for the jungle cubs + the annoying traveler uncle (Dominic) for the jungle cubs is juuuuuuuust one of my favorite brainrots.

I love them platonically too tbh. RJ/Casey is one of my top ships, so *Yeets them together* Fran is supreme >>>>>

"Just how drunk was I?" Lily asked breaking him out of his inner monologue as they sat on the stairs in the kitchen that led to their base.

When Theo and Lily got together they mutually agreed to keep it under wraps, for a number of reasons. The biggest of which was that they had more pressing matter to deal with like which monster they had to fight off today. It wasn't like they liked keeping secrets it's just they never found a good enough moment.

He sighed as his mind went in rewind.

It was Casey's birthday and after a long day they decided to go out a little clubbing none of them really liking the idea of birthday of a teammate going between making pizzas and fighting monsters.

Now the thing with his team was in proportion to impulsive behavior, the amount of people who actually had a impulse control was just one, him. Lily was not bad but she wasn't strict either and RJ who actually held the "authority" around here was not with them because he was helping Fran close up the jungle karma pizza.

In his defence the jaguar ranger warned his girlfriend not to drink, she had poor liquor holding abilities but alas rangers never listened, especially to their own kind. Lily had a minimum of five shots that's it and she would already feel her slipping.

But that wasn't enough because she also decided to help Casey to finish off is shots, the tiger ranger was drinking for the first time, unlike her.

"We should adopt him."

Theo spat his drink on Dom and he apologized before turning to Lily who was clearly a little more than tipsy and baby-ing their leader.

"What?"

She looked at him with a smile and he can already see the horror settling in, he starts chanting a shut up in his mind praying she will get it somehow but she did opposite.

"We are a couple right? We can adopt him as a cub no?"

Theo wanted to slam his face in the table but the yellow ranger migrated over to him, wrapping around him like she usually did in private.

He said nothing as she pressed a few kisses to his jaw, just looking ahead of him at the red and white ranger looking at him with varying amount of disappoint.

"What's got you all so quite?" RJ's voice broke in the awkward silence in the loud place as he approached them with Fran close behind.

Great.

"A lot." He says as the flashback comes to a end in his mind, offering his girl a aspirin and water bottle. Silently helping her to get her bearings back, after all they had very displeased set of rangers and a equally upset waitress to explain things too.

Casey Rhodes:

Casey sees Fran like he does Lily. Fran is his sister, a little older, but his sister none the less. They hang out together watching movies or reading books, they joke around. Casey's protective, it's in his nature to protect the innocent and those without the fantastic powers he has.

He's taking to kissing her forehead or cheek when thanking her for things.

Theo Martin:

Theo sees Fran as a good friend and irreplaceable ally. From the moment he met her, he's liked her and all her silly quirks, though he doesn't always have the patients for her. Fran is sweet, innocent, and she's really good at handling Theo's primary mentor, so to Theo, Fran is indispensable. He's also extremely protective.

Lily Chilman:

Lily sees Fran as a best friend and confidante. On a team full of boys, its hard for Lily to feel like she can be a girl without getting teased for it (Casey and Theo), so she's really glad to have another girl to go shopping with and watch TV shows specifically tailored to a feminine demographic. She and Fran talk about everything from cute boys to feminine hygiene products. They bond over cute girls too, because bi-pan solidarity is absolutely a thing

RJ James:

To RJ, Fran is irreplaceable. She was his first friend when he moved to Ocean Bluff, she was the one to find out about his Wolf Problem(tm), she was the one who gave him solid advice when he needed it. RJ is Fran's biggest fan, her number one, anything she needs because RJ loves her and he'd do anything for her. There's nothing Fran could do that would make RJ still loving her. Nothing.
