"I'm sorry, Matt," Scott said. "They told me what to do. I didn't have any choice. "You don't have to blame yourself," Matt said. "I knew you were going to betray me." "You couldn't have known." Scott stared at Matt, suddenly angry. "If you knew, why did you come?" "I told you in the dreamworld. We all have a part to play. This is yours." "To betray you?" "Yes."

What if I not only turned the powerpuff girls into ham-hams, but combined the two show styles together?

Matt: So, I think we got off on the wrong foot when you and Jamie first got here. But I feel like we’ve been getting along much better this last week.
Matt, fidgeting uncomfortably: So I was thinking…we could be mates?
Scott, blushing furiously: Oh. I mean, it’s a little sudden, but -
Jamie, massaging his temples: Mates is British for friends, Scott.

Sometimes we need to look beyond to reach for new horizons. Just as we're exploring the possibility of life on Mars, we each have power to create our own new paths, even it the face of uncertainty.
The human spirit of discovery once seeming impossible is noe within reach.
Let's keep looking forward and building a future beyond limits 💫

thinking about my power of 5 au again, hollyleaf is the sibling of breezepelt and daughter of nightcloud and crowstorm (crowfeathers name in my au since stormfur died instead of feathertail) and resides in windclan. even though hollyleaf is apart of the prophecy (maybe she doesn't know it?) she feels like she's treated lesser than breezepelt (I may remove breezepelts dark forest arc, either that or she misunderstands their fathers negligence of breezepelt) perhaps crowstorm knows that hollyleaf is a prophecy cat and tries to protect her at all costs without actually telling her that. he forces her into becoming a healer because he thinks it'll keep her safer, and is very controlling over everything she does as he's scared she'll get hurt or die, whereas it's the opposite for breezepelt, he doesn't care if breezepelt joins battles or risks his life since he's just a normal cat.
hollyleaf isnt very good at being a healer, plus she has zero connection to starclan. she is jealous of how casual her father is about breezepelts will for battle, as she gets no freedom whatsoever. she isn't super interested in fighting like breezepelt is, but she desperately wants to make her own decisions and serve her clan in the way that she sees fit.
at some point, hollyleaf managed to leave the camp alone without crowstorm or any other cats watching over her. she comes across mudclaw outside of the territory, who is revealed to have survived the rebellion that he was involved in a while back, he fled the clans and had been living outside the territories since then. hollyleaf befriends mudclaw and visits him at every opportunity she gets. mudclaw is very genuine with her, he's still aware that he shouldn't have been demoted so suddenly by tallstar, but recognizes his mistake in letting hawkfrost trick him into starting the rebellion. after finding this out, however, hollyleaf is blindsided by her anger with windclan and her high respect for the warrior code. she turns against her clan on behalf of mudclaw, believing windclan to be extremely flawed.
I'm not yet sure what happens next, but hollyleaf becomes a villain similar to in canon where she kills ashfur and threatens leafpool. maybe she kills onestar and takes over the clan? or kills crowstorm or breezepelt?

So as by the order of @teddyniffler I wrote a little something for Po5 Christmas! It’s a really shirty fanfic between the Darren Shan saga and Po5 that I wrote in like 24 hours… I’m not the best writer but I hoped you enjoyed it anyways!
Po5 x Darren Shan Christmas
The five, Richard, and Joanna Chambers were sitting at the table in her hacienda, talking about Christmas. There was a Christmas party on Christmas Eve, all organised by Joanna. They usually wouldn’t do much, but considering it had been a long year for them all, they thought that they should go all out this year.
Joanna had originally planned for it just to be the five, her, and Richard, but thought instead to invite a few others. She didn’t know who to invite at first, but then remembered something. There was a couple of people she had met a few years back. They had met by chance and had took a great interest to each other and even though they hadn’t met again, they often mailed each other and kept in touch in the years since their meeting.
It was three of them, the young vampire prince, Darren Shan, another Prince, Vancha March, and another vampire by the name of Larten Crepsley. When they had first met they had only just set out in search of a vampaneze lord. In the years since they had yet to be successful.
Joanna thought it would be good for them. In what she had been told the hunt had been unforgiving and relentless. They had suffered many losses without many gains in return. She thought a break—if only for a day—would be a good thing for them. As well to that, she thought that the trio and the six with her would get along well as they had much in common—they were supernatural beings, who had been persecuted by the police and authorities every where they went, and had the mission to defeat a select enemy.
She had sent a letter about a month previously to them asking if they could come. They had sent back and she had received a letter back saying they could. She instantly decided to tell the six about this, and hoped they would be excited for their visitors.
“Do, this was meant to be a surprise for the day, but I thought I’d tell you now. We’ve got some company coming to the party. We’ve gone back years and thought they would be a nice addition to the party, some new faces. There’s also something you should know. They’re vampires. One of them is in his late 20’s, one is just short of 300 and the other is about a hundred years on top of that.
They all gasped. They wondered how she could invite vampires there. What if they drained them dry? They all wanted to give their two cents but Scarlett was the first to speak.
“Are you mad!?” She exclaimed.
“They’re going to drink our blood and drain us dry! What on earth do you think you’re doing?” She continued.
She rambled on, and while the others tried to add to her, she relented and finally her rant came to an end.
Joanna calmly responded. “You have nothing to worry about.” She reassured them. She could see them still worried do she continued “there are a lot of misconceptions about vampires. They aren’t bad at all. I have known them for years and I can trust them. They have explained the many misconceptions and I’m sure they will explain them to you. I know it seems scary but you will be fine. You’ll see.”
She could see them ease a little, but still unsure. They still were doubtful about them, but they saw the genuine look in her face and they calmed. The six accepted the news.
Matt asked “and you’re sure they’re good?”
Joanna replied “yes.”
Pedro stated “Supongo”.
Jamie and Scott simply nodded.
Scarlett and Richard both just said “fine”.
It was a Tuesday evening, shortly before sunset. We were resting in a cave. We had been on the chase of the vampaneze lord but to no avail. We had barely any time to think about anything else. I was sitting up in my hammock, and then I remembered. There was a Christmas party with Jo in a few days in Peru with a couple other kids…something about them having to kill some demons, similar to us I suppose.
I’m nervous about meeting them. I’m guessing they know I’m a vampire, what if they think I’m a bloodsucking, evil, creature? What if they try to kill me? I calm my fears in the end. “I can easily defeat them anyways” I said to myself. But again, We’re good friends with Joanna. She wouldn’t betray us.
Vancha awakes not long after. I remind him about that Christmas party. He gleams at me and in a classic Vancha move he spits on his hand, rubs it in his hair and just says “I hope there aren’t any ladies there. I can’t be with anybody right now and I know they can’t resist.” He sniggers. I laugh along with him, always amused by the thought of him attracting anybody. It’s always such a funny thought.
Larten wakes not long after us two and we also remind him. He had forgotten, like us, but was looking forward to the event. “Vampires don’t celebrate Christmas. It’s a nuisance.” He’d said once, I thought he wouldn’t want to go but when we were invited he said “why not”.
“We’ll flit there tomorrow. We’re gonna need to get some decent clothes for there, we don’t want them thinking we’re dirty. Especially you Vancha.” Crepsley
We went to a town nearby, it was fairly big and we were definitely going to find what we need. I found a store which sold men’s clothes and I picked out a nice black suit for myself and a brown one for Vancha. Larten had recently bought replacements for his signature red, so I didn’t have to buy for him. I was originally going to play but I forgot the money I had, so I had to dash out of there. Hopefully I didn’t get caught.
I came back to the cave and gave Vancha his suit. He put up a fight into abandoning his signature purple hides, but he finally caved in and he put it on. It fit him rather well and the shade of brown was really his colour. We flitted to Peru pretty easily, but it was rather disorienting when we got there. At home it was always cold at Christmas, but here it was the middle of summer. I forgot that it is summer during Christmas in the southern hemisphere.
We got to Nazca easily enough. It was a typical sight for this type of the world. Sam’s blowing in the wind, colourfully painted stone buildings, and everything seeming to have a thin coat of sand, turning everything a slightly yellow-brown hue. We didn’t have much time to spend there as we wanted to arrive at Jo’s early. We walked around the place and set off for the hacienda.
————————————
The five were a bit worried at first of the vampires, but slowly warmed up to the idea. They were excited to see a new fresh face around and wondered what they were like. Prepsring gor the party was easy. It was a casual occasion with a couple drinks and food.
Scott was looking neutral, as he usually does, but was also looking forward to meeting them. He thought that the cold demeanour of vampires would suit his. Richard thought seeing another who was his own age—or looked his own age!—would be cool. As much as he loved the five, hanging around people both half and double your age does get boring after a while.
Most of all, Joanna was ecstatic. It had been years since they had met face to face and was joyous to see them again. She missed them often, even though they nailed each other regularly, they had a lot of catching up to do. She wondered how they had been, what had happened and how their missions was going. She also had lots to update them on. Her discoveries, findings, and wondered what they would discuss with the five. That would be very interesting indeed. Of what they’ve said they seem to at least be keeping in the fear, or just weren’t scared, hopefully, the latter.
Scarlett was the only one who wasn’t that excited. She had later learnt while overhearing Joanna that there were three boys coming, and being the only girl out of them didn’t help, but she thought that it would be fine, or she hoped it would be.
Matt was ecstatic. He realised soon enough that he had nothing to fear, and he loved the thought of meeting new friends and learning about new interesting people excited him. He hoped it wouldn’t be as boring as the history in school.
They had bled themselves to give to the vampires and bottled it to give to the vampires. They thought it might be a bit cliche, but they did it anyways.
That evening, they went to sleep early so that they could awake early to greet them. They had learnt that it was true that vampires could not survive in daylight, so they had to be careful.
————————————
We had brought presents for everyone from ages ago, do that wasn’t an issue. We didn’t know what they were interested in so we got them some weapons from vampire mountain. I thought they’d like something like that so I hoped it would go down ok. I had had to use one once to kill a camper because they demanded we used swords for the battle, so I hoped they wouldn’t mind, in fact the blood of the camper on the tip made it look more cool to me anyways.
We found our way to the hacienda quick enough, but first we passed the view of a lifetime. Jo had mentioned the Nazca Lines when we’d met her ages ago and had talked about them regularly in the years since. I can see why she was so fascinated by them. Carvings drawn into the ground shaped into all sorts of things, spiders, humans, birds, all sorts. It was so impressive to think about how the people of olden times managed to do it without technology of the modern day.
I was amazed. Larten and Vancha were too. This was one of the corners of the world that even in the centuries of living that the elder vampires had achieved, they had yet conquered. They were both instantly flooded with regret that they hadn’t found this place sooner. After this whole debacle with the vampaneze was over, they promised to visit here more often. We could’ve sat here for hours, thinking about the mysteries of the great Nazca Lines and admiring such beauty. But, we had somewhere to be, so we headed on.
We arrived at the hacienda about an hour before sunrise. The plan was to sleep in the day and have the party on the evening of the next day. This was the scariest part. Meeting the strangers. Hopefully they wouldn’t be dead on arrival. Literally.
————————————
The five, Richard, and Joanna awoke at 4. Because it was summer time the sun rose at around 4 and they were groggy and tired. None of them remember getting up this early, apart from Pedro, of course. Getting up this early was a standard for him, as he would go out on his pickpocketing. He was energetic and surprised that the others were not as awake as him.
The visitors arrived about 15 minutes later. They knocked on the door and were let in by Joanna and entered the hacienda. As the men walked into the room, they were surprised at their appearance. They were expecting, slim, slender, and soulless looking. People who looked dangerous and would kill you in cold blood. People that would look evil. Creepy. Chilling. And what they gazed upon looked like warriors. They were covered in battle scars. The one in front looked about the age of the five, but was actually about double their age.
He was obviously the boy. They were told he was only a half-vampire and could roam in daylight. He was almost bald but looked to be patchily growing back light brown hair. He was covered in burns and small scars from fights and battles. Despite his young appearance, he gave off an aura of dominance and being a ruler.
The two bwhind him was much older. The one to the left was tall and slender with pale skin, just like the other two, with bright, unnatural, orange hair. He had a long scar running down the left side of his face, glowing red. The colour of the scar matched his clothes, as he was dressed in an all crimson suit, fitting for a vampire. He gave off a stern appearance, and despite not holding as much power in the vampire world, looked as courageous and as domineering as the other two.
The third was the biggest by far. He was rather buff with large muscles on his stomach, chest, arms and legs. He had messy green hair flowing down to his shoulders, and was rather messy. He also stunk. So did all of them. They almost held their noses at the stench.
They had warmed up to the idea of the vampires, but as they were here, in front of them now, much more powerful as originally seemed, they looked scarier than ever. Matt almost used his powers on them to kill them, but the one in front held out a hand and said “hi, I’m Darren. Nice to meet you”.
————————————
As we entered the house, we got our first glance at them. We saw Jo in the back, looking the same as ever, but there were also six unknown faces. There was a man, who looked rather scruffy with a messy blond cut, and stubble. He was tall with blue eyes and looked a loyal, trustworthy and smart figure.
Next to him were five children who looked roughly the same age as Darren in vampire years. They looked roughly 14 to 15. The first was a light-skinned boy with brown hair and blue eyes, like me, with quiet, rough, stoic features. Next to him was an olive-skinned boy with a bowl cut down to his eyes, very similar to many of the kids in the area, and I assumed he was Peruvian.
Next to them were two identical twins who had dark hair and caramel-coloured skin with defined features, that looked like they were carved out of wood. They were Native American in origin. Even they were identical twins, with their attitudes they looked quite different. One looked courageous, but friendly, but the other sat next to him was completely different. He looked quite retreated into himself and cold. He looked as if he was constantly replaying a bad memory in his head, as if a relative had recently died.
The final face was a girl. She was Asian and had quite pretty features. Even though she was very obviously from Asia, there was an aura of western about her. I had suspected she was adopted by British or American parents.
As I looked more closely at them, and they looked at us, I saw they looked quite scared of us, so I decided to break the ice, and stuck out my hand, hoping one would shake it. They seemed to relax a little after that. I waited for one to shake it, and nobody seemed to want to take it, and I was about to put my hand away, but the one in the middle, the first of the twins stood up, and shook my hand. He said with an American drawl “Hello sir. I’m Jamie. “ he pointed to his left and said “that’s my brother Scott and Scarlett, and that’s Matt, Pedro, and Richard over there”, pointing to his left, and then to the older man behind them.
“This is Vancha and Larten. Thank you for inviting us to this wonderful place, Jamie.”
After we exchanged greetings with Jamie, we saw Jo pop out from a room and we cheered when we saw her, and she gleamed when she saw us. “Darren! Vancha! Larten!” She exclaimed “we meet again at last!” She hugged us one by one. “I hope you had a fine journey over here. Did you manage to see the Lines here or did you flit all the way here?”
“We saw them alright!” Larten responded
“Surprised we haven’t seen them before, we’ve got to explore this part of the world more”. Vancha continued.
“Anyways, we’ve got to get to bed, otherwise we’ll burn to a crisp. So if you don’t mind, I’ll rest on your floor please.” Vancha said.
“One condition. You have to shower because you stink, all of you.”
“What do you mean? I only showered last June! And I usually only do it every two years!”
“Ew!!!!!” Matt said. You’re disgusting!”
“Hopefully you’ll never meet any other vampires because that’s pretty clean for a vampire!” I replied.
“But for us that’s disgusting so please, clean because we can barely stand the scent!” Jo said back.
“Fine!” Vancha said.
“Vancha you can go first, you stink the most!”
“And it’s upstairs on the first door to the left!”
The way she talked to him reminded me of Evanna and it made me chuckle to remember how Evanna would treat him.
Richard, the man, then spoke, “So is it true that…that you’re a vampire?”
“Yes, but there are a lot of misconceptions. No, we cannot turn into a bat. No we don’t have fangs. No we’re not allergic to garlic, in fact I quite like garlic. Yes, a stake will kill us, but so will a bullet. No, we do not drain you dry of blood, if we do feed on you, it will be in a little dose, we don’t kill you.
I saw Vancha come out of the shower naked. He’d forgotten we were with humans and I thought it was funny. Instead of stopping him, I thought I’d see how long it would take for him to realise. He walked down the stairs and didn’t even think for a second, I could tell. He was literally walking down those stairs, in his usual, confident self. He didn’t see anything wrong. It took everything in me not to chuckle. It was only when he got to the bottom of the stairs and said “Darren, your turn”, and everybody looked at him and groaned in disgust that he realised.
“What?” He said to them.
“You…!” Scarlett exclaimed and pointed at him, and he realised. That man turned bright pink, it was so funny. I laughed the hardest I had in years. He darted back up those stairs, got his clothes from the bathroom and dressed quickly, but even after, his face was still a pigmented pink colour. Even though the seven of them looked disgusted at first, they even found it funny after a while. And till the day I died there would not go a day where I wouldn’t joke about that incident.
Me and Larten took showers and cleaned ourselves, and when we came down, we took our places on the floor, and we slept like logs as the others got on with their day.
————————————
As Pedro and Matt hung around outside, they conversed about the newly arrived Vampires.
“Matteo, they’re not as bad as I thought”
“Yeah. They seem nice actually.”
“But why was Vancha walking around the place naked?”
“I don’t know. They’re nice but they seem kinda weird”
“Maybe they’re gonna drink our blood or something.”
“Maybe. They did say they wouldn’t kill us though so there’s that.”
————————————
I awoke about an hour before sunset. It was a fairly warm but cool evening. I decided to have a walk around, maybe tag along with the others. I walked outside the doors into the garden. The sun was beginning to dip over the horizon and the sky was rippling in beautiful shades of orange, pink and purple. Over one end, I see the boy I met first, Jamie. He was tending to the garden with the plants and flowers on the ground.
I begin to approach him by walking to him. As I get closer I begin to realise it was in fact his brother Scott, not Jamie. Scott was very cold and came into himself a lot. He was the least eager to talk to all of us. I hoped that maybe now I could chat with him.
“Hi.” I say to him
He replies “Hi Darren.”
I look at the plants he was tending to. Various cacti. I ask him about them.
“Yeah. You find a lot of them around here. I find a lot of peace with the plants. It seems to be the only thing that distracts me after-“
He cut himself short. I was rather worried at what he was referring to.
“I know we’ve never met before, but you can talk to me about things. I’ve experienced my fair share of rough times to know what it feels like.”
Scott took a deep breath in and looked out towards the sky, as if emotionally preparing himself. As if it was his last breath and he was savouring the view one last time. Then he spoke.
“A few months ago, this company who wanted to defeat us tried to capture me and Jamie. He managed to get away, I…”
He struggled to verbalise the next bit. I put my hand on his shoulder to comfort him. He looked out again and tensed.
“They…hooked me up to all these wires and…these noises and…this woman…it was just pain. Even though I’m away from it now, and I’m with my brother and the others now, it haunts me all the time. I can never get it off my mind…”
He began to tear up and I embraced him into a hug. He cried on my shoulder and I was glad he felt he could open up to me. Once he’d finished, I helped him in the garden for the next half an hour. It seemed boring at first but it really was an escapism into everything. I think me and Scott really connected, and it’s a shame I didn’t keep in touch with him. He was a really cool guy.
When sunset hit, I woke the others and got them ready. When they awoke, the kids, Jo and Richard had begun preparing. We helped them as quick as we could to get this party started. It was a simple affair with drinks and food and such, but very nice of them.
When we’d started I decided to give them a party trick. Me and Larten decided to do it together. What we were to do is that we would stand on opposite ends of the room and switch places. “Now. Watch closely and see if you can see how we do it!”
We raced at full speed towards each other, making sure not to crash into each other. In a fraction of a second we had switched places.
“How?” Richard asked
“Can you vampires teleport or something?”
“Not quite”. I said. “Watch closely, see if you can spot it.”
We darted towards each other again, more carefully this time as not to hit each other. This time Scarlett popped up and shouted “Wait I think I saw some movement is that it? Are you running towards each other really fast?”
“She’s smart” Larten shouted aloud, talking to me but making sure everybody heard. I heard her make a noise to show she was impressed with herself.
Jamie then spoke. “We all each have supernatural powers. And before we were…you know, we were forced to perform in a circus.”
“You should’ve joined the cirque!”
“What’s the cirque?”
“The Cirque Du Freak.” Larten responded “it’s a freak show but we all treated fairly and I’ve been good friends with the owner, Mr Tall, since before I was blooded. Vampires have assistants like how Darren is my assistant, I used to be assistant to Seba Nile and he sent me there for a while.”
“How long ago was that?” Pedro asked
“About 280 years ago, give or take”
“How long do you live for?” He continued
“Well full vampires age at one 10th of the rate, so even though I look like somebody close to your age, I was born back in 1791. When I was your age, I was working at a factory, me and all of my brothers, and my cousin worked. Me and my cousin, Vur Horston, worked at a silk factory and they dyed our hair so they knew what we did in the factory. That’s why my hair is that colour.”
“So you’re theoretically able to live to our thousands?”
“If we’re blooded as babies, then yes. I was not blooded until shortly after I was 18. So even if I did live the longest live possible, I could only live into my 700s or 800s.”
“Blooded?” Scott asked
“We’re not born vampires. What we have to do is transfer blood with each other. One key identifying feature of a vampire are scars on each fingertip.” Vancha responded, showing his scars to everyone.
“Sorry, Jamie, carry on!”
“As I was saying it was by our foster parent. Basically we all have special powers, mine and Scott’s is that we can read minds and control them. It might not be able to work on vampires but I’ll give it a try.”
Hd turned to Vancha, and said in a very serious voice “Cluck like a chicken”
After that Vancha began to cluck around like a chicken, much to our surprise. It was really funny, but I felt bad for him being the butt of the joke. But despite that I couldn’t stop laughing, and when it was over he was completely and utterly unaware of it all! That night spawned some amazing memories.
Matt was next. But this time he didn’t tell us about his power. All he did was nodded his head gown and before k knew it he’d pantsed us! I quickly pulled my trousers up, as did the others. But they kept on laughing at us anyways and we did see the funny side of it too.
After that, we began to tell each other our stories. I first told them about the vampaneze. “When I said that there were a lot of misconceptions about us vampires, many come from the vampaneze. Back in the olden days, we would often drain blood from people. It was common. But to stop us being hated, we decided to only drink in little bits, and it was mandated in vampire law. When we did this, some felt draining people was the only way. They thought only drinking in little bits was evil and cowardly, so they broke off into the vampaneze. They have purple skin, red eyes and nails, and in an attempt to ride of them we went to war.
“We eventually decided on a truce, but recently, the Lord of the vampaneze has risen, meaning that we are at war again, and us three, are the hunters of their Lord.”
“One thing with vampires and vampaneze is that if you drain somebody’s blood you absorb their soul. Vampires only do it to humans who are dying. I’ve done it once. I once had a friend called Sam who died, and I drained his blood. That’s why I like pickled onions.”
They seemed fascinated by the world of the vampires. We told a few more
Disinteresting stories, but they seemed excited nevertheless. After we’d finished we asked about their stories and history.
Matt told us about his past. He was the first of the gatekeepers to realise his powers, do he acted as a proxy leader.
“My parents died when I was 8. I got moved to my Aunts house but I was badly mistreated. I got into bad habits and hung around the wrong people. Stealing. Smoking. One day I robbed a warehouse and my friend stabbed him, I was then placed into the care of witches and they serve these beasts of pure evil called the old ones. I manage to escape with the help of Richard but they tried to sacrifice me in the process. But us five are gatekeepers of the ‘gate’ that keeps them out of the world.
Our destiny is to save the world.”
Me and Larten looked at each other, and then me and Vancha, then Vancha and Larten. We all knew what we were thinking and just said in unison “Tiny”.
Richard responded “Tiny?”
Vancha responded with “Desmond Tiny, or Des Tiny for short. He is a meddler of time and often changes and chooses people to be special and loves war, misery, destruction, and death. He and his heart shaped watch are most definitely behind your misery.”
“Well if I meet this guy he’s gonna know what’s up!” Jamie spoke.
The party continued for a while but it came to an end and the kids grew tired. The food was eaten, and the drinks had been drunk, and the celebrations had come to a close. The stuff had been put away. The kids had gone to bed and shortly after the vampires went too. They excused themselves around midnight. “We need to get some blood, we haven’t fed in a while and we’re due. Do you want to come?”
I’m alright. I’ll see if I can get some from one of the kids. I’ll catch you two later.”
I sat on the chair facing the stairs quietly, thinking about how chaotic my life had been and how I’d enjoyed myself more than I had in years. It was a depressing thought. But I was glad I had made new friends tonight, and for now, that’s all that mattered.
My thoughts were quickly disrupted when I heard noises coming from the stairs, and I saw a dark figure on the stairs. As the figure approached closer to the stairs, I noticed it was Scott, the quiet twin. He looked like he had something on his mind, and I hoped I’d be able to help him, and prepared myself. As he neared the bottom of the stairs, carefully treading down them he spoke.
“Where have the others gone?”
“Out to feed. I only fed a week ago, so I’m fine for now.” I stated. “What’s on your mind?”
He quickly responded “I can’t sleep. Thanks for earlier, outside. That really helped. You’re a really good friend.” ‘Friend’. I’m glad he thought of me as that.
“You know, I really like you, and I can’t stop thinking about you…” he stopped. “Basically what I’m trying to say is…” and before I could think he swooped in and kissed me. It was unexpected, but really, in that second, I realised I felt the same way. I felt such a connection with him, and I really liked him too. I embraced him, putting my hands on his face and stuck his lips onto mine. I could’ve stayed there forever. I felt butterflies in me blooming and I felt such a feeling of euphoria that I have never felt since. After a minute, he pulled away, held my face in his hands and giggled. I looked into his eyes and he looked into mine. I noticed the pigments of brown in his eyes, and even in the dim light, it looked as if it was glowing brighter than the sun. He held my hand, and slowly led me into his room. We creeped slowly careful not to wake the others. We reached his room at the back of the house. His room was predictably decorated with beautiful plants and flowers of many colours.
As soon as we walked in, Scott planted me against the wall and kissed me hard and passionately, talking every second at a time, just hoping that this would never end. This went on for minutes, never tiring of our loving embrace of each other. Finally, we finished, and we crawled into his bed together. We cuddled for the rest of the night, and all I could think of fathom was the man I loved, lying behind me, sleeping and comforting me throughout the night.
The next morning was tricky. We didn’t feel like others had to know yet, do I had to climb out of the window, and crawl down the walls. I had the best excuse planned. I had fed in another town after all. Hopefully they would believe the lie. I crawled out the window easily. I crawled down the wall, speedy and precise, and expert, everything was going well and I was half way down when I heard a voice shout up “what were you doing in my brother’s room?” He chuckled.
I almost fell from shock, but I kept my cool and climbed the whole way down and met with Jamie.
“I can explain” I scrambled to say.
“You better!” He said. I tensed expecting the worst, but instead he laughed it off. “Don’t worry. I knew anyways. Me and Scott can shut off our connection but we usually keep it open. He forgot to shut it off last night.”
“Ok, phew” I sighed. “Don’t tell anybody though please.”
“My lips are sealed, don’t worry”. He made a zip motion over his lips. I trusted him so I knew he wouldn’t tell the others, I hoped.
I walk around the building, careful not to be seen on the cameras and opened the front door then stepped inside. Of course came the immediate question “Darren where were you?”
In my best response I said “I went to another town to feed after all. It was a late night decision so I only got back. Sorry.”
“Okay then”. Larten lied the best he could. He could read me like a book and knew that it was a lie. He didn’t know what he was hiding yet but he was sure he’d figure out. He thought it would be much harder than it was but when I sat down for presents, I heard a voice in my head and knew instantly who it was. “Snuck out okay?” And I had to contain my laughter but we glanced at each other cheerfully. We tried to keep it as discreet, but I felt Larten glaring at me, his gaze almost burning into me, and I begged to myself that he hadn’t realised, but he had. He could tell what was up, and soon he put two ans two together to realise where I’d been all night. He wanted to confront me about it so bad but he refrained, it was time for presents. I had realised I had left them upstairs, so I went to get them, but Larten tagged along, saying “it’s heavy, let’s look for it together.”
We walk up the stairs into his bedroom, and he pulls me aside “Is there another town in Scott’s room or are you lying?”
I froze. He’d seen right through me. I wanted to say something but the words stuck in my throat.
“Master Shan, I can read you like a book.”
“It…just happened so quickly and it just felt so right I’m sorry. “
“You don’t need to apologise, Darren, I’m fine with it, but you need to go to acting classes because I was not convinced for a second. Ayayaye”. I relaxed when he said that, I was worried he wouldn’t approve of me and Scott. But I was quickly distracted from him and was at the weapons. “Right so altogether, there’s a sword, a mace, an axe, seven shurikens, a dagger, a pike, and a trident, correct?”
“That’s all of them.”
“Ok let’s bring them down”.
As we brought down the massive bag, they were stunned and curious as to what we’d bought them.
“What on earth is in there?” Pedro asked
“Weapons.”
“What? Why?” Richard followed up
“We didn’t know what to get so we nicked some weapons from vampire mountain. No guns, we aren’t allowed projectile weapons, it’s banned”.
We put them out on the table and each took their pick. Pedro was the first, and picked Vancha’s signature shurikens. He tested it by throwing it at the wall, a perfect shot.
“I like this kid” Vancha joked.
Pedro blushed shyly and said “Gracias, Señor Vancha”
Matt picked a pike, swung it around, making sure not to hit anybody, then held it in his hands. Scarlett picked the trident, and pierced the air with the three, deadly points of the trident. Jamie picked out the dagger, and accidentally cut his skin with his new blade. He began to panic, but Larten simply walked over to him, spat on the wound, and rubbed it in. “Vampire spit heals wounds.” And was surprised when the wound closed almost magically.
Scott picked out the mace, and swung the large, pointy sphere located at the end of the chain, and looked impressed at his choice. Richard soon after chose the sword, and placed it by his side, leaving Jo with the axe. Even though she had last pick she was quite happy, saying “you know, I could cut a good few trees with this…and limbs!” she joked.
“You know you didn’t have to do this, thank you.” I smiled mildly, trying to contain my glee at the voice intruding into my head.
“Anyways, it’s time for our gifts, and it’s actually kind of a game. So you all are gonna drink from us, and you’ve got to tell us whose blood tastes the best. Us three nodded at each other and I said, “who’s first?”
Richard volunteered, and I made a small incision, and Tom a small sip from his vain. Vancha and Larten did the same, then we closed the cut. We then judged his blood. “It’s a little sweet, but not like that sweet. It has a sour undertone. Maybe a 7 out of ten”
The others agreed.
One by one we judged the sevens blood. It was a bit of fun actually, they seemed to enjoy. Jeering each other and booing each other. In the end we decided Pedros blood tasted the best. He seemed to take that very well, and for the rest of the day would often respond to others saying “well at least I have better blood.” It was a bit weird, and I felt like one of those wine tasters at the end but it was just a bit of a laugh.
Later on we all got on to our own things, and of course, me and Scott were gardening. Well, we started of gardening, but we just couldn’t resist. We went to a quiet corner where nobody could find us and kissed for hours. There is something so addictive about him. He is just so pretty and dreamy. Our lips danced upon each other for hours. I felt as if I had known him for years but it was for less than two days. I loved him.
We hoped nobody apart from Crepsley and Jamie would find out about us but things came to a head when they looked for us and found us, embracing each other and the looks on their faces! They looked shocked, surprised, and flabbergasted. I thought that they would reject us for who we were, but instead the opposite happened. When they saw our shocked faces, they realised what we were thinking and said “don’t worry, it’s ok” and we could relax. With everybody knowing, we spent the rest of the evening, cherishing our last moments together.
“These last two days have been amazing, Darren. Please don’t forget me, I love you.”
“I love you too. Until we meet again”
“Oh get a room you too!” They all said in unison.
But our time ran out, and we had to part, despite our wishes. I knew that we’d probably never meet again, and I was saddened by the thought. I thought all hope was lost, and that I had lost my one true love. That I had finally found the one, only for him to get ripped out from under me. As we were about to leave, and I realised that I really was going now, Larten told me something that made my day. It made my year. It was probably the best moment of my life.
“You know, you can stay for a while, we’ll be fine without you for a while, in fact it would be nice to have a broke from you, sire!”
“Charming!”
“Stink you later, Darren” Vancha said, one prince to another, to which Darren responded “Stink you later ugly!”
Once we had said our temporary goodbyes, I returned to my love, and we spent the rest of the night in each others arms. The best Christmas of my life. Merry Christmas everyone, and a happy new year!

*Places The Power of Five (Anthony Horowitz's other YA book) under the trees of all in the Alex Rider fandom*
Tumblr media
Books of immense suffering that pretend to be children's books delivered. Now they shall join me and we can all suffer together! I even delivered one personally to Alan Blunt, it shall destroy him where nobody else succeeded.
Happy Christmas to all. Yassen, no, you have too much trauma, no Po5 for you.

It’s been a while since I made anything for the Po5 and I decided to make some sketches of them last night.
I only had enough energy for four of them but I like how they turned out, especially Scar. Hoping I can get back into this series

Trying to explain what the fuck just happened in Lankan politics today.
The leftist party has won 159 seats out of 218 in the Parliamentary elections. The single biggest landslide win since we broke from the British and achieved universal franchise in 1948.
Any party achieving a super majority in the executive and legislative is, objectively speaking, bad. It disables checks and balances, which is a catastrophic thing for any democracy, and the only two other times it's happened for us has irrevocably eroded the fabric of civic rights and democratic freedom. Also, the reason the NPP won the North and East is that the colonized, genocided and subjugated people there have no faith in electoralism anymore. The way this government has engaged minority issues has been utterly abysmal and now they've been rewarded for it.
On the other hand:
The winners. Are all. Grassroots. Candidates.¹
We have voted out every single career criminal that's been barnacled into the Lankan political arena since before I've been alive. The fascist party has only three seats.² The other fascists didn't win a single seat. The neoliberal legacy party won none. There are only forty people in Parliament that represent any sort of dynastic political legacy. After 76 solid years of nothing but political dynasties.
This is barely five years after the Rajapaksas swept in and absolutely glutted the Parliament with their family members and cronies end to end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the illegitimate interim government we had for most of the last 18 months. We literally, physically, chased the Rajapaksas out of the country and this fucking demon set up a puppet government just so he could finally sit in that goddamn chair and be the despot he'd always dreamed of in exchange for letting them all come back. He's now gone. His entire circle is gone.
THEY ARE ALL FUCKING GONE.
In US terms, just imagine that, five years from now, when Trump's GOP has control of everything, the entire GOP and the worst of the Dems are all purged from Congress and Senate, the Green Party in control of all three branches of government under a pro-union left-wing President and an unmarried female LGBT rights activist Vice President, and the Dems reduced to barely 20% of the House.
Tumblr media
This is my anthropology professor. She joined politics from the small nascent leftist coalition to help keep the government accountable. She's now the Prime Minister and the most popular Parliamentary candidate in the nation's history. (Edit: She was knocked off first place by a dude in the final result. Boo.)
(On the other hand— the woman who helped make me a radical anarchist and literally helped write a book on political dissent and resistance...now is the state. Uh.)
But there are so many women in Parliament! We had the lowest female representation in a South Asian Parliament and some of them were from the list of seats reserved for parties rather than elected ones. Most were either anti-feminist conservative embarrassments, widows and daughters of elite politicians and neoliberal shills. It's still only an increase of a few percentage points (Edit: from the previous 5% to 10% in the final result!) but now we have elected academics, feminist advocates, activists! There Is a representative for Malaiyaha Tamils in the Central Province for the first time in history and it's a young woman! (Edit: now it's two female Malaiyaha MPS!!) This is the plantation community that still live in conditions closest to the slavery the British forced upon them two hundred years ago!
I'm like. Completely mindfucked. To be very very clear, the NPP coalition formed around the nucleus of the JVP that used to be communist but haven't been in 30 years, they're now just social democrats who are left of places like the US and UK, whose "left" is now center-right. They're only threatening to the Western mainstream media for some reason who can't stop bleating about how we have a "Marxist" government now. In reality, the actual chances for radical reform are still quite low, and the opportunity for further erosion is quite high with a super majority government regardless of affiliation.
On the other hand:
What the fuck.
Sometimes living through historical events is really damn amazing.
---
¹ Well, nearly. There are a few career politicians and a nepo baby but they aren't so bad either.
² Goddamn it, Baby Rajapaksa and Sri Lanka's answer to JD Vance have wormed their way in using the list of Constitutionally reserved party seats for non-elected members. FUCK the National List.
