i imagine that it wouldn't be a common thing at all but mixing all of this ancestries it's really fun i love doing it, even if they end up kinda op,, sometimes that's the fun of it yknow

I would prefer to not refer to them by any percentages, because that feels extremely uncomfortable, but yes I have oc legacies who are also direct descendants of deities. I talked about Anton in a previous ask (legacy of Mars, child of Ceres), and I have a legacy of Summanus kid in the works who is also a direct descendant of a wind god, but I haven't decided who exactly yet and I only have one doodle of them because they are a Literal Baby and that one doodle is them as a toddler being tiny and babey.

So let's talk about some rogues I've been working on!

These are my waterfowl lesbians. They are born out of me learning that in some myths, the Graeae can turn into swans and I thought it'd be fun to make an Enyo & Nemesis duo who can both turn into waterfowl, plus I also wanted to make an Enyo & Lua combo kid who can just telekentically throw weapons around, because that's cool. Also just playing around with Enyo kids having fire eyes/demigods with nonhuman traits, because Yes Please. It's just fun. Knives ended up with an Odile/Black Swan theme, just cause I thought it'd be neat and I wanted her to look cool. Anser has some swan Valkyrie theming kinda sprinkled in there just for flavor, ergo the Thor legacy (also just fun for her being super loud + a personal hc of mine about Norse rogues being more common) even though she's a goose, not a swan.

I have plenty of other multi-legacy demigods as well, just not ones who are direct descendants specifically, because a.) I always find it fun to think of how powers and themes would mesh, and b.) I actually have a very specific headcanon that multi-legacies are super common in the First and Second cohorts, due to the whole their-families-are-more-likely-to-live-in-New-Rome thing.

I've actually been bouncing around an idea recently of Roman demigods who are children of lares, because there is mythological precedent for that and technically they are house gods. It's just the mortal parent is probably a New Rome citizen and that's sure to get awkward quick some way or another. There's no way a lar parent can not end up awkward, which is hilarious. I also have a fun OC whose concept is based on the idea of two mortals who moved to New Rome with their demigod partners but one way or another ended up single again and then married each other and had a completely mortal kid who just. Grew up in New Rome and joined the legion anyways. I'm just a big fan of getting really funky with riordanverse ocs.

Episode 17: The Double Joy

-Your mother spoke well, one can only find peace in earth. But I'm not sure if it is on earth or in it.

#the quote is a little bit silly but it adquires seriousness when you know everything that comes later #especially because it's hurrem's mother's quote from when she lived in ruthenia. when peace was possible. when she was going to marry leo #and had her future all planned. and there was stability #but the joke is suleyman's. after all becoming part of his family is what brings that ambiguity to the quote for hurrem's story #as it could be argued she never found true peace. at least for the most of her life #but also suleyman speaks in general terms here. so the quote can be extended to all the characters and in this episode of double joy it's #even more significant. because peace it's going to go sooner than later. and the signals of future ibratice problems are already there #and just as the birds are partly symbolic of that temporal peace and joy in love for hurrem the gifts the marriage gets are very important #as well #this episode is just gifts gifts gifts all around #suleyman's necklace for hatice has the tulips of the dynasty and it's something ibrahim himself recognizes could never give her #she says she's always going to have it w her. tho i don't remember seeing it too much in her tbh sdfy #in the other side ibrahim gets a lot of gifts. but the one that reminds him of his origin is his father's ofc. and he says he will always #have it with him as well. and later he gets suleyman's ring [i'm w haticehurrem. this totally looks like a subrahim wedding asfg]#which goes to remind us that he's now officially part of his family as well. he returned but he converted again. and THEN there's the table!#and taking away the politic alliance it could signify. it is venetian. his mother's heritage is there. in all the palace. and in the same #episode hurrem mentioned her mother's saying. the dynasty [or at least the most conservative side represented by ayse] it's unconfortable #the converts are not only winning more power and getting closer to the family. but they're also bringing their cultures & traditions to the #*ba dum tss* table #there's more to the whole return/convert and how it shows in the ibratice palace especially later w the statues but if i ever write about it #it deserves a post of its own ofc [and prolly someone that knows what they're talking about more than me lmao]#noo why did i write so much 😭 i should've done a separate post this is a mess to be under an already long picspam #anyways there's other significant gifts as the clock that musti likes or mahi's lucky charm for selim. and also the ones we already knew:#the ibratice gifts together 💝. and these contrast a lot with the rest because it's something of their own. when the couple was separated #from dynastic or even ibro's family. will they ever find peace again? we'll see it in the next episode [i'm lying]#maybe i should organize this in a post of its own #magnificent century #muhtesem yuzyil #mc1picspam4episode

#fave spotting #anneke wills #the saint #the helpful pirate #polly wright #doctor who #classic doctor who #itc #1966 #so while i noted on my last fave spotted post that Pat Troughton's 2nd Saint ep aired quite shortly before his DW debut‚ Anneke was #actually already in the middle of her (all too brief!) stint on the show. in fact this episode of The Saint aired in the uk the day before #Power of the Daleks episode 1. despite that‚ she isn't even the top billed woman in this ep; her character is more in the way of #collateral damage for plot reasons‚ with Erika Remberg getting the coveted guest star status as Saint girl #Remberg was briefly a leading lady in a few b movies and made a couple of tv spots on arrival in the UK (an Edgar Wallace‚ an episode of #Man of the World) but her career petered out eventually; Anneke on the other hand is still to be found doing the do on the Doctor Who #circuits and good for her (I've met her a couple of times‚ she's lovely). it's not the most rewarding part here but she does what she can #with an underwritten part. at the very least she doesn't suffer any indignities at the hands of Simon Spanker..

a little personal project i'm slowly chipping away at, thought it would be fun to make it into a chart that i add a doodle to every time i finish a new character so i can track how i'm going with it!

I think I accidentally made an Aleduncan AU where Alejandro is a witch and Duncan is an outlaw

#so basically #Alejandro saves duncan from being put to death #alejandro lets duncan stay with him for a couple months while he heals his wounds #they kinda get FEELINGS for each other during that time period because neither of them see many people around and they're both lonely #alejandro tells duncan about his plan to create a divine being #they part ways after a while #duncan returns a few months later to find alejandro being burnt at the stake (bc he's a witch yk)#so he runs to alejandro's woodland cottage and finds a letter left for him #in the note alejandro leaves a set of instructions/explanations and a map #because he hid a giant statue in the forest along with some of his body parts using magic #so duncan sets off to find the statue and the body parts #(he's pretty determined because there was a note on the letter that read “If you couldn't save me then at least save my offspring”)#he feels like he owes alejandro for saving him #he brought the note with him incase it had clues #when he got to the life-size statue of alejandro in all his glory #he broke open the hollow torso to find a small manticore #which alejandro made using magic combined with his own flesh and blood #duncan also finds ANOTHER note that explains how he needs to find each of the organs alejandro hid around the vast forest #and feed them to the baby manticore #to increase it's powers #this could be such a banger AU if I actually put effort in #this keeps sounding dumber as I write about it #I just wanted to draw alejandro as a pretty witch #I love aleduncan because I can make bullshit like this about it #I came up with this while listening to “Bernadette” by IAMX #I just wanted to toss this dumb little idea out there #td alejandro #td duncan #aleduncan #total drama

i literally don't talk about it much but i do often think about the cut ahit character, tim the time ceo. he had a rather silly (yet somewhat relatable) backstory and concept for his character but it would have been neat if we could see more characters from where hat kid comes from.

also i really liked his design:

he seemed like such a lovely character

#in my mind he's hat kid's great grandparent but maybe like a couple greats (?)#and ik he's frozen in vanessa's manor now but i like to think he had some special time powers that allowed him to escape any failed #timelines for himself to the point now he just exists within the place where rifts occur #and hat kid doesn't know he's her grandpa and he doesn't know she's his great grandchild #but he had a hand in guiding her through how time rifts work #it's this whole thing i gotta actually elaborate on some time #i plan to write a short fic about it some time #but since tim's statue in the manor lacks the time piece necklace (albeit it looks different) i like to think #the necklace on the hunting outfit you can get in the game was his #and was found by snatcher and he gave it back to hat kid bc it had a timepiece on it #i gotta try and draw tim some time #or more of the human/demon/alien creatures sometime...

imo its pretty neat how genshin is leaning a little more on the whole "allogenes (vision holders) have more powers and strengths than normal people"

like. there's being able to control the elements and then theres being able to swim, breathe, and even talk underwater in fontaine purely on account of having a vision

#this is canon btw its one of the new loading screen tips and an npc in poisson mentions that normal people have to wear diving suits #plus theres a couple of mentions of online vision users being able to say survive a large fall and similar stuff #only* not online #its been alluded to a few times obvs but this is such an interesting little detail #and yeah its to justify a game mechanic but its a fun lore tidbit so #now mind you this is fontaine waters only but yknow.#given the power came from the statue of the seven iirc its probably just smth connecting allogenes with celestia #step right up! || 🪄.txt

#now that citra has been working again I've bren playing the pkmn moon battle tree in the background a lot while I do other things #what I wouldn't give to get a drawing of my mudsdale and my salamence being besties <3333 #( the thing I wouldn't give is my groceries and rent ｡⁠:ﾟ⁠(⁠;⁠´⁠∩⁠`⁠;⁠)ﾟ⁠:⁠｡ )#I LOVE THEM SO MUCH #best leading pair for a double battle ever I will take no criticism on this #the salamence has a mega evo stone too #and they're Both equiped with the move facade #which is really fucking strong on its own bc it gets switched to a flying type move for salamence instead of normal #But I LOVE when we get matched up with a support team that stacks on the status effects and then they both have a 140 power move I can spam #and a good 99% of the time the other team likes to focus on salamence bc it's strong as fuck #and that's extra funny with moves that hit multiple pokemon and aren't particularly effective on mudsdale #because then Mudsdale will just have her stamina ability piling on the defense boosts #it's not uncommon for me to end rounds with a maxed out defense stat #and I have high horsepower (for when salamence faints) and earthquake (for salamence teaming) on mudsdale which is funny to me #so frequently matches just go with mudsdale spamming earthquake while they chip away at salamence's health without thinking of her #which I adore #their movesets are #Salamene: crunch (dark). facade (flying bc of mega evolution). fly (flying). and flamethrower (fire)#Mudsdale: facade (normal). rock slide (rock). high horsepower (ground). and earthquake (ground)#Fly is mostly for when dragon types come in and salamence needs to gtfo of there and let mudsdale do the heavy lifting #while fly is still strong as hell facade is typically strong enough as a flying type move I don't really use it unless salamence is at risk #my whole double battle team is kinda fucked if the opponent has more than one ice type but they're very powerful against anything else #I proooooobably should replace my decidueye and toxapex with something better but I love and treasure them dearly #and also they've both saved my ass a couple of times #a lot more than a couple of times if I'm being honest

Shouldn't Adrien's existence be enough to make Gabriel want to live?#Way to drive home how little Gabriel cared about his son.#Plus that is NOT what accepting another person's death looks like! Yikes #Also depending on your read of Emilie's status (dead vs coma/magical stasis)#The final is literally treating either a su*cide or full out murder-su*cide as a happy ending for Gabriel #I don't think kids need to be wrapped in a bubble but by the gods that is freaking dark #Even if later seasons somehow fix this (and I truly do not think that they will) the intended audience is five-to-twelve-year-olds #That's not an age group known for following complex and nuanced plots #The younger end of that group is not waiting with baited breath to see how this messed up ending will resolve itself #They see the happy smiles and Gabriel going into the light and think this is what a happy ending looks like #Oh and way to have Chat Noir leave Ladybug to literally fight the world alone after making his catchphrase “me and you against the world”#Guess that was just lip service?#Why even bother making him a hero if this was the plan all along like they claim?#The final well and truly killed every side of the love square in one fell swoop. And they were already on shaky ground going into the final #Ladynoir isn't the power couple we always wanted and Adrienette is poisoned to a level I don't think that they can come back from #It's all just way too serious for the intended audience.
