this episode made me love kipperlilly

i think it is very important to remember that kipperlilly copperkettle is a child. she's 16 years old and being manipulated by an authority figure who she should've been able to trust

yes, she was angry and jealous and immature before allying with ankarna. but she was also a 14 year old girl with anger issues

as a person who has had anger issues my whole life and was very violent as a child, i fully feel for kipperlilly. i was literally the worst version of myself when i was 14. i was rude and mean and had shitty opinions and i hurt people. i was truly awful, like genuinely bigoted and just hateful. i'm still trying to forgive myself for some of the things i did because it wasn't fucking okay.

i got out of that headspace thanks to my friends, and i ended up losing a lot of them along the way, deservedly so. im 18 now, im better and still bettering myself, and i cannot in good conscience hate kipperlilly any more than i can hate my young self

she's a kid. she's an angry little girl who instead of getting the support and help she needed to be able to better herself(bc jawbone is not able to treat her like she deserves), she was tricked and presumably killed by jace stardiamond so that he could use her to resurrect a dead rage god. she has done truly terrible things but she is a child and isn't irredeemable.

i honestly didn't see myself in her before, because our expressions of rage are completely different(hers is more passive aggressive, im more loud and outright aggressive), but this episode made her on of my favorite npcs ever.

she's a kid, and she's wrong and immature and a total asshole who thinks she's so fucking righteous standing on her stupid fucking high horse claiming "fairness" and all that bullshit. she's so realistic and awful and i know that makes her worse to most people but to me it just makes me think of another shitty teenager who was just as bad(minus a few murders) and 100% convinced she was righteous and justified in all her horrible actions.

i love kipperlilly, and i have faith in her. if there was a chance for me there's a chance for her, and when that chance presents itself i hope she takes it

thinking alot ab queer spaces in religion 4 tonite.

not sure why but a vision of like. queer churches popped into my head. like for example a church sunday but its all queer people praying and singing and being thankful and sharing life moments and organizing community support. augh. man

if this is real i want in but i like havent been invested in christianity any more than when i was taken to church semi-regularly up to my tweens. but now after taking a bunch of queer studies and intro level anthropology im like damnnnn being in a religious ceremony centered around queerness would do so much for me

i feel like queer community bonding would be so strong too with the structure of support involved in churches tbh !!!! like from what i remember and what i hear from my grandparents it just sounds so. togetherly

Psychiatrist Scarecrow Scenario

Imagine: Jonathan crane as a psychiatrist, he’s just starting out his career as the scarecrow and testing his fear toxin on patients. He decides to test his working formula on a patient, he “prescribes” it to them, but rather than having them pick something up from the pharmacy, he insists on coming to their house to let him administer it (so he can take notes etc).

The first time he comes over to their house and does this, he administers an injection into their neck, and then monitors their symptoms for around 15 minutes before they devolve into hallucinations and paranoia, letting Jon see their worst fears. He ends up staying with them for some number of hours, monitoring their responses to various stimuli and making sure they don’t have a heart attack.

Rather than pressing charges, however, the patient believes that the toxin is working and that Dr. Crane knows what’s best for them, and continues to see him, revealing more and more about their deepest fears and secrets as more toxin sessions occur. After the second or third home injection, Jon probably orders them to come to his practice to receive the injection, just because of the fresh anxiety that would result from the subject being suddenly placed in a new environment and being made so vulnerable there.

After a certain point in their doctor-patient relationship, Dr. Crane will know absolutely everything about them, and they will rely entirely on him. Super toxic and messed up but its an interesting idea to me. Also Jon may feel indebted to them because they would be the first test subject for his toxin and gave him so much data, and he may become so interested in the inner workings of their mind that he continues to work with them until he’s found out as the scarecrow and institutionalized. Imagine how the patient would react to finding that out lol… Or maybe when they see news of a villain who uses a fear drug they will immediately know it’s Dr. Crane, and maybe since they trust him so much by that point they could become his partner in crime. I feel like einstein rn Idk if this is anything though.
