Artwork by beloved friend and artist Prottxv on Twitter (DO NOT REPOST WITHOUT CREDIT and please go follow them) of the DragonRider!MotoGP fanfiction I am writing (and have yet to publish, but we don't talk about that) called The Dragons of Blood and Gold. The Primordial Moon and the Eternal Sun. Both the fanart and the fanfic are a gift for @dasmidna (Basically a dragon version of the fanfic they are already writing) where I combine our two hyper fixations into one thing. It wasn't supposed to get this far, but it did. Pecco is scolding Marc for being so restless during a race. A sentiment shared by his dragon, Syrax, who is scolding her said mate and racing partner, Caraxes. Also known by the DracoGP fandom (hehe, see what I did there?) as Noodle Boy for his long neck. Unfortunately for Pecco and Marc, bonded dragons have to live together during the racing season. Hence, their riders have to live together. (There may be more than one bed, but there is only one house. Shame Marc opened the door shirtless when Pecco, Syrax, and Turbo arrived to move in). Oh, how Marc wishes he had been chosen by his previous dragonness, Moondancer. Álex, meanwhile, is throwing a party with his dragon, Sunfyre, for being able to shack up with a hot Italian named Luca due to Moondancer-Sunfyre's mate-choosing him over Marc. He may be the younger brother of the man who made his brother's life a living hell, but it's fine. Probably.

Chapter 11: All I'm Left With is an Aftertaste

Excerpt:

Harry lingers near the door for a moment, his hands awkwardly clasped in front of him. His anxiety seems to fill the room, settling over Draco’s skin like the eerie, numbing sensation of pins and needles. He runs his hands through his dishevelled hair and adjusts his glasses, which have slid down the bridge of his endearing, slightly crooked nose. With a deep breath, he finally strides forward and sits down in the chair next to Draco, turning to face him. He opens his mouth, pauses, and then promptly closes it. His brows furrow as he appears to struggle in search of the right words. “I’m sorry,” Harry finally whispers, his voice paper thin, barely holding together, and fraying at the edges. “I was–I was unreasonable and cruel earlier. I’m–I’m sorry for everything, everything that keeps happening, everything I keep doing. I know I’ve been bloody awful. I can’t help it when I feel like I–when I—” He falters, guilt and fear painting his flushed face before it crumples. His brows draw tight, lips quivering as his eyes squeeze shut for a heartbeat, a tremor passing through his features as though he’s about to break—tears, pain, grief, brimming beneath the surface. But then, as if by sheer force of will, his face smooths over. His hands betray him as he nervously wrings them together in his lap, as if he’s unable to truly hide the monstrosity of complex feelings churning inside of him. Draco stares at him, wide-eyed, shock rooting him to the spot as he feels the blood drain from his face.
