In this episode of I can’t do anything without thinking of ZoSan please go listen to “Lay all your love on me” by ABBA and imagine it from Sanji’s perspective I swear. Maybe someday it can be a fic featuring:

Sanji struggling with his feelings of jealousy when women keep accosting and flirting with Zoro

He thinks he’s jealous because he wants the women to be flirting with him but as time passes he realizes he’s being possessive of the stupid marimo and his head is so far up his own ass he doesn’t clock that Zoro has never shown interest in a woman ever

What drives him even more nuts is that this means he feels some resentment towards WOMEN and that’s a big no no these feelings are wrong and bad and should be buried because he’s a gentleman and women can do no wrong and he would never think bad thoughts about a woman his only vice is smoking after all

But now it isn’t true - and he comes to turn with these new feelings- feelings of attraction towards a man, which he hasn’t had before, and it’s just completely overturning his self perception- so he’s bisexual apparently???

At every party his possessive jealousy gets progressively worse, he begs higher powers that zoro notices him, not the women flirting with him, nor the men that he sometimes sees the marimo walk off with into the night

He yearns, he yearns so much for the swordsman’s love, daydreaming about his touch, his voice- the way he calls him by stupid nicknames- completely distracted as he cooks by himself. He wants it all, he wants it so much it hurts but there’s no way Zoro would want him.

When he looks back on it, it’s truly unfair how easily the swordsman made him fall for him- a little talk and a smile and his insides were turning to mush - it’s embarrassing, really, how he as an adult man fell so easily, like shooting a sitting duck

After Thriller Bark it gets worse- sometimes he feels a sharp flash of fear run up his spine, a faint echo of the abject horror he felt when he found the bloodied swordsman on deaths door, and he, panicked and against all logic, needs to find him and make sure he’s ok, needs to have him near. Zoro looks at him quizzically as his excuses when he does find him get weirder and weirder

Back when he was at the Baratie, he’d had a few little love affairs- and Zeff would always scoff at him when he claimed he had found the one and gush about whatever woman had decided to string him along that week, chastising him about the ease at which he gave his affections away- he’d told him repeatedly that it wasn’t love- that he’d know love when it really hit him

And oh god had it hit him now. Pining from Momoiro island does nothing for his poor little heart and his mind goes crazy over not knowing where his nakama are and what they’re doing and he’s definitely not worried about the marimo possibly being off on some island with a better, stronger, more beautiful man than him

Iva and the candies notice him moping and decide to coach him to get his man

Sanji’s mindset is completely different two years later - he’s determined to get ALL of Zoro’s attention, his love, his devotion, and he’s not afraid of using every weapon the Candies of Kamabakka taught him

Favourite fishman island Sanji moments

It was extremely disappointing to see a beautiful complex character like sanji getting reduced to his reaction towards women. But at some point he reverts back to his old self and These are some of the things i loved the most about sanji during the fishman island arc :

(1) My favourite chivalrous knight in shining armor spitting fire as usual

(2) After the annoying exhausting excruciating nosebleed episodes, this is where sanji was back to his flirty loser boy personality and was immediately saying cringe pickup lines and preparing tea for the ladies

(3) This one gotta be one of my most favorite moments where Sanji again proved how intelligent and perceptive he is. He could guess who attacked hatchi, and why so, from hatchi's reactions to jinbe's words alone. He is sensitive to people's moods and reactions.

(4) the enemy understanding why sanji is so hyperaware of nami in the battlefield. He has always had the streak of looking out for the comparatively weaker crewmates

(5) Sanji coming through during the hitching between jinbe and Luffy. Even though Luffy's way of communication is IMMA BEAT HORDY UP and jinbe was trying to protect Luffy, that's when sanji piped in and explained his captain's words, working as the mediator in the chaotic conversation

(6) People say sanji was being condescending to jinbe here but I see this interaction as a "best friend who gets angry on your behalf" moment. Sanji is not a shrewd person but he was there in Arlong park to witness nami's sufferings, so it's normal for a friend to get angry(ier) at the person who may be the reason for the pain of ur friend. (Similar to how sometimes when we hate our friend's exes more than they do) But when nami said she was okay, Sanji didn't drag the issue anymore. Sanji was rightfully angry here but he knew when to step back

(7) This may be silly but Sanji really respects whatever food or drink is served and never wastes food ofc. I loved how he genuinely appreciated Camie's cold soup even if he was already cold from drowning in the sea. Even if sanji is a top notch cook, he immediately reassured camie that the soup is good and graciously accepted it. He's always humble, sweet and kind.

One Piece characters that i never wanna see again

very similar to my “characters i desperately need more of,” i’ve chosen one character from (almost) every arc that i never want to see again and despise. not much else to say, so let get into it !! :)

Kumate Tribe

technically, they’re not one character, they’re multiple, but still. this tribe as characterized as a “savage” cannibalistic tribe that tries to eat buggy’s crew and it actually drives me insane. oda redeems himself with the shandians, but these guys are super racist. as a native guy i just can’t let them slide.

Miss Goldenweek

i think her real name is marianne. she. she drove me insane. i remember being so annoyed during her arc. looking back, her hypnosis functioned a lot like persona’s ghosts, in the way that she debilitated anyone she targeted through emotions. that being said, the way it was executed was less funny like it was with perona, and more frustrating and annoying. luffy kept fighting her without knowing her power, and it got repetitive really quick :/

Enel

he is the worst actually. he’s a colonial genocidal freak that is the physical embodiment of cultural appropriation. every time he talked it literally drove me insane. i was waiting for luffy to kick the shit outta him and took way too long 💀 imagine being a colonizer and having stretched ears. LAME !!

Spandam

this man is so unnecessarily violent and disgusting. the way he treated robin made me want to vomit. it was honestly so hard for me to watch. i don’t even remember what happens to him but i hope he dies like 1000 times. i hope he goes to super hell.

Absalom

filth. absolute scum of the earth. the most wretched awful man ever. he is disgusting. i will never forgive him for what he did to robin, and what he did to nami ?!?? despicable. i feel like i need a thesaurus just so i can call him every vile word in the world. what piece of shit.

Vander Decken

an actual pedophile. he is so disgusting. probably the most morally fucked one piece character i have met so far, and caesar clown drugs babies. if this man came to my house i would beat the shit out of him so hard. he’s the reason i made this damn list.

Wet-Haired Caribou

greasy. slimey. LITERALLY MADE OF SWAMPY MUD. disgusting. his tongue thing never fails to gross me out, i can’t stand him. he’s also like a terrible guy. he kidnaps a bunch of women for human trafficking. he’s so freaky in the worst ways possible.

was watching few eps in the beginning of the fishman island arc, to see some differences between manga and anime, and of course the zolu shenanigans were cute in both,

but then this part with the salinity joke wasn't in the anime, which is a shame, bc it just shows how they can make stupid jokes together and play off of each other (so much that nami had enough of them so she sent them away). it was just a nice moment.

(i also saw a different translation on the colored comic, but it seems this is the more official as it's also described on the wikia about chapter 604.)

and right after this panel, zoro and luffy went to the side of the ship and luffy asked zoro where he ended up after sabaody

sadly, the anime didn't include that at all :// (maybe they added it in a different episode, or different part or something like that, but definitely not where it's placed in the manga),

and then it picked up with the parts after that - with all 4 of these dumbasses not understanding a word of what nami tried to explain to them about the underwater currents,

which was still fun and all, buuut... with all the other additional scenes the anime is always adding, it's kinda sad this small moment wasn't there.
